How does the ego control the perception of our reality, are we living in an imaginary reality, and what is the higher reality the Kabbalists speak about?

What is imaginary and what is reality? There is only one reality, the higher power. As long as we haven’t discovered it, we are living in imagination. The sages of Kabbalah discovered the true higher reality, the Creator (Boreh), from the phrase, “Bo Re” (come and see).

• There is a general sense within us called a “desire for pleasure”; it is like internal glasses that are installed in us.
• Like three-dimensional glasses have been assembled and we see an imaginary reality through a program. That is how we are born. It is impossible to remove the “glasses” that were installed in us at birth and which portray the imaginary world for us.
• The higher power installed these “glasses” in us so that we will come to the conclusion that our lives are miserable and we will want more.
• There is only one single reality, the upper force, the Creator, which we must discover. Everything else is an imaginary world.
• There is a true reality that exists without any connection to a person, which is beyond time, movement, and space. It is the force of bestowal.
• The force of bestowal produces reality and takes care of it until it brings us to consciousness.
• The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how to accept this reality and discover it; therefore, it is called the hidden wisdom.
• The true perception of reality depends on transcending the ego, above the desire to receive pleasure and enjoyment for oneself.
• In fact, we are living within a structured situation; it is only when we go out of it that we discover that we were like dreamers.
• We discover the true reality by changing our perception, changing our relationships with the people around us.
• The crises in our world are intended to advance us toward discovery of the true reality, the power of love and bestowal.

New Life 403 – Suicide Prevention

How does social support and conversation help us contend with life and prevent suicidal feelings?

We are social creations. There is always conflict between a person and his environment.

To prevent suicide, it is necessary to build a new educational-social framework for everyone, to hold daily workshops in small groups to explore life, relationships, and emotions. In these discussions, even someone who is introverted will hear the words of others about life. Openness is gradually created.

At first, all of the garbage comes out of a person; everyone unloads his own baggage.

We try to connect in a circle, nobody criticizes others, and we try to reach a single opinion. Gradually, each one begins to feel that connection with a warm society is more important to him than his personal life. Instead of suicide, he begins to find a higher value to life.

Connection workshops make everyone equal, balance the differences, and help everyone acquire a higher meaning.

New Life #400 – Sports Education And Group Power

Summary

You can acquire educational values through sports. What characterizes sports that promote connection compared to ordinary competitive sports, and does group cooperation significantly improve achievements?

Sports can develop a person’s confidence, power, stamina, persistence, and ambitiousness. All this is very important, but we have to fill sports with the spirit of connection. We need to develop sports that require a deep sense of mutuality. It is a good idea to develop activities for the public in parks, physical activities that include dancing and a common motion. The role of the coach is to connect the members of the group. The uniqueness of each member in the group stands out on top of the connection.

We should add training exercises that develop connection, understanding, and a feeling of mutuality. The players should become friends, get closer to each other, eat together, and sleep together until they become one body. They should not compete against each other. They should speak about the connection, the ties between them, about love and mutual understanding. They should get to know each other well.

A perfect group is a group in which all its members move as organs of one body on the field, as one player. We should add a connection workshop to today’s training, to share feelings, to find out how the connection can be made stronger. It is possible to play games with the eyes or ears covered and then try to feel the others internally.

We will see how from one year to the next, the winning group is the one that has the power of connection, and not the group that has individual stars. Today sportsmen use drugs in order to enhance their performance. The power of connection will enhance performance many times more.

It is easy to use drugs, while you have to work on the power of connection, but the power of connection is unlimited. You should not go over board with talks to children, but rather show them the connection between togetherness and success though games. If we nullify the self, we will feel that there is one head in the center of the group from which we all receive orders.

We can perceive these operating orders by creating mutual brotherhood among us and being as one. Such a group will demonstrate perfect harmony and the audience will be stunned and will be drawn into unity between them.

What characterizes sports in modern society and how can we have constructive competitions in sports? What can we learn from the World Cup games and why should we live in an undending World Cup?

Sports have developed because they help people feel superior to others, which is important in an egoistic society. Professional sports have become increasingly more popular as capitalism developed. People realized that there is a lot of money involved.

Sports can be a recreational activity for the family, a way of getting to know nature, and a way of spending a pleasant holiday. Competitive sports may lead to hatred. Our goal should be to check that in the end everyone has fun.

Success in sports should be measured according to the level of connection we reach at the end of the game. Thus each participant is required to play with his ego, to step on it a little in order to connect to others. We shouldn’t advertise or encourage people to participate in dangerous extreme sports. Only few need that. The World Cup involves the whole world. Millions of viewers feel that it is important so it is very influential. People watch every game because it has the flavor of connection, as we all feel as one.

We will all feel the same good feeling we have during the World Cup when we learn to connect and “drink” the pleasure from the connection between us.

• Just like kids we invent different games in order to pass the time, but if we escape real life through these games to a virtual dream, we harm our evolution as human beings.
• I am not referring to advanced technology that makes our life easier, but to the escape from reality.
• We cannot predict how virtual games will affect human behavior.
• You can manipulate a person any way you wish, and those who gain from it will do so.
• Our evolution as human beings requires the establishment of warmer closer connections between people, but we are escaping to virtual games.
• These are not just games because a game changes me as a person. It changes my attitude to life.
• The elite think that most people are redundant anyway, and so instead of causing problems it is better if they play.
• We will have to decide where humanity is headed, since by escaping we may be opening the gate to our “graveyard.”
• The escape to a virtual world will not work since it is opposed to our evolution to the peak of reality.

Today it is impossible to speak openly about different social problems.

• Social problems stem from the fact that we don’t have the positive force to balance human egoism. The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how we can draw the positive force we need.
• If we only conceal our evil attitude without correcting it, it will eventually erupt in different forms like Fascism, Nazism, etc,…
• The European countries, for example, don’t know how to cope with the refugees, and they are actually burying themselves. Radical Islam is taking advantage of the culture of political correctness and is aiming to crush Europe.
• People are different from each other but a person wants everyone to be like him, to act like him. Everyone also aspires to be the “king of the jungle” because the aspiration to dominate others is part of human nature.
• Our only hope is to study the method of connection above all our differences. It may sound impossible, but there is a balancing positive force in nature we can draw into our life by learning the method of connection according to the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Why do people feel the need to be politically correct? When is it right to hide social injustice and what will lead to true egalitarianism in society?

There is no truth in the relations between us. We hide what we really think.

Main points:

• The ego grows from one generation to the next. In the past there was a clear division between social classes, whereas today everyone wants to be respected.
• In the 20^th century everyone has an opportunity to study and to develop.
• We are not equal by nature. We have different characters, different genes, and different attributes, but subconsciously we all aspire for equality.
• Equality means that everyone contributes as much as he can to others and not that everyone does whatever he feels like. We are supposed to develop to a state of mutual complementation, which will connect all of us.
• Mutual complementation is possible only if we act according to the rule of “love will cover all our transgressions.”
• The recognition of evil without knowing the remedy for correcting it is destructive.
• We are living in an evil culture where everyone hates everyone else and everyone needs a lawyer by his side.
• We have a method for correcting evil and it is based on teaching all of society how to connect to each other.
• By being politically correct we prefer to keep quiet and not to say the truth, which leads to a breach in our relations. By teaching people to connect, we develop the ties between us.
• In the future, political correctness will disappear and the teaching of how to connect between people, how to love above the hatred, will emerge.

New Life 783 – Going Up To The Torah

What is the meaning of going up to the Torah, what is the spiritual stage called Bar Mitzvah, and what kind of process is a person beginning to go through when he reaches this stage?

The Torah is the program of all of reality; it explains how the higher power operates on us.

Main points:

• Two forces come from the higher power—right and left, and they are found in everything. A person must balance both of them.
• “And you shall love your friend as yourself is the great general rule of the Torah” (Yerushalmi Nedarim Chapter 9) means that all options and situations will be directed for the benefit of others.
• Spiritually, going up to the Torah means reaching the middle line, the balance between the two forces.
• Going up to the Torah for a Bar Mitzvah indicates the maturation of a boy who is ready to achieve balance.
• There were Kabbalists who achieved balance before the age of 13, but most people don’t achieve balance until the end of their lives.
• To realize the Torah, we must be in a special society that aims toward balance between people.
• We must organize ourselves within a Minyan, a group of ten, a group, and through these connections between us, we discover the good, balancing force. This force connects us, balancing between our ten opposing egoistic forces.
• One cannot read the Torah except in a Minyan because reading the Torah is the discovery of the higher power.
• There is the Torah that explains reality; there is a Torah that operates as the Light that Reforms, and there is the Torah that is the discovery of the Creator.
• The Creator is the origin, the root of everything. All our tendencies in life are directed toward discovering our roots.
• Cohen, Levi, and Israel are practices that symbolize the different intensities of a corrected ego.
• The Holy Ark and the curtain symbolize the stages of intellectual and emotional development on the way toward discovery of the Torah.
•  The cantillation signs: Taamim, Nekudot, Tagin and Otiot, are the four stages of attainment of the higher power.
• A person who organizes his inner desires according to the Torah and everything that is in it, is called a “man of Torah.”

New Life 782 – Reading The Torah

What is the inner meaning of what is said in the Torah, what do the weekly portions represent, and why do we begin to read the Torah every year from the beginning?

The Torah is the general law of nature which explains how to behave regarding the higher operating system.

Main points:

• Reality is built in strata, and there is a higher system that manages it with an operating system called Torah.
• Moses was the first to describe it comprehensively and he gave the Torah to the people of Israel. The Torah was written in a coded language.
• The entire Torah talks about how we must be balanced in relation to the forces that act upon us. It explains how a person develops further and further toward complete balance.
• There is the Torah we read every week that is divided into portions and there is the hidden Torah. With the help of the hidden Torah, a person can discover the Creator, the general force that is operating in reality.
• There is an external maintenance of the laws of the Torah and there is its inner maintenance, which is expressed in the correction of man’s relationships to others. A person knows that he is in true balance when he acts for the benefit of others.
• There is an external reading of the Torah and there is an internal reading: the discovery of the Torah each time on a new level.
• Reading the Torah is a discovery of the higher system, making it possible to discover the Creator through it.
• On every spiritual level, a person must reach an attainment of a deeper understanding of what it reveals.
• The seven days are seven forces: Hesed, Gevura, Tifferet, Netzah, Hod, Yesod, and Malchut.
• “And the heavens and earth were finished….” (Genesis 2:1) A balance between the positive force and the negative force brings a person to a state that is called Shabbat.
• The yearly reading of the Torah represents a new level of discovery of the hidden reality until its complete discovery.
• In the final point of balance, we see “from one end of the world to the other,” the full reconciliation between the opposing forces of nature.
• To read the Torah means discovering the program of the world and achieving a whole and eternal state.
