Eventually a person will acknowledge the fact that he is the one who has to change. This understanding is not immediate because who would want this from the start? But gradually it becomes clear that the crisis continues unabated and troubles are only getting more serious. Today we already see: in all of its activities humanity has committed a sea of mistakes and it is collapsing. This begs the question: Why? Why does all that we have built work against us?

Defects in all the systems are disclosed every day, in fact our ego increasingly destroys and distorts them. If we take the health care system for example: There are an enormous amount of medicines that are essentially poisons that destroy our body. They are specifically designed so that we become addicted to them and will consume them all our lives, calling them by new names.

Specialists produce the latest medical instruments and apparatus for testing and analysis. And yet, they are not needed for people who are so debilitated and destroyed that they don’t know where to go with such a life. Is this “mercy?” We don’t know what we want.

It’s the same in every field of life: in the family, in education, etc. Initially we wanted to do good things, and then we discovered that the ego distorts everything we start and turns them against us. This is why it’s called “help against us,” meaning that whatever you do it operates against you, obliging you to correct the situation.

This process has become global today. In fact, none of the systems we have created operates in our favor. The conclusion is that the only solution is to change human nature and not the external circumstances. Gradually it’s becoming more evident and as a result, the wisdom of Kabbalah is revealed.

Humanity will discover that the cause for all the global problems is human nature, but no one knows how to correct it. Here comes our turn. We have to work seriously in order to show people the solution: Despite the deadlock, it is possible to correct man and to balance his nature. The method exists and is ready for use.

This is the message that we have to bring the world. Otherwise, it will deteriorate to even worse conditions and only then will it come to the same solution. We have to try to show it to the world now.

Times are changing ever faster and with each day it’s aimed more and more at the goal. The world is starting to realize the situation at hand, which we are considering to be a transition from one level to another, from one step of the ladder to the other one in our development.

Baal HaSulam writes in his article “The Peace” that each time with the ascent onto the next level, humanity needs to discover the vanity and harmfulness of the current state, the inability to either move further or to remain in place. When the whole world, just like man, group, or country, suffers in the current circumstances, it gets the fuel, the motivation, for the transfer onto the next level. People are ready to part with the current state, which earlier seemed good to them, but now they see evil in it. While the next level, which had previously seemed to be unreal and bad, they are ready to accept as the good one.

This is how development carried on. Man changes, his desires change, and then, exposing the past, present, and the future for re-evaluation, he passes onto the next stage. Forcing his own development, evaluating his states more and more correctly, man saves time, and also internally identifies himself with the tendency, thanks to which the process moves over him more easily, softly, and positively. This is because he understands the reasons for what is happening and acts consciously, looking forward in advance.

This is how man helps the forces of nature that are influencing him. They are summoned by the negativity to push him along the path, but he’s trying to pass onto the next level by himself, using the attraction from the front, and not the push from behind.

Today, we have entered the last stage of the current period of development. Kabbalists begin its countdown from the 15th century, from the times of the Ari. We understand that the process flows slowly, stage by stage, passing the five levels of HaVaYaH, from the root stage to the fourth stage. Baal HaSulam, the last great Kabbalist, has prepared the methodology of correction for us. He also wanted to expedite time and has relatively succeeded. Who knows how we would have been moving forward without his revelations.

Regarding the current situation, it’s special in the way that the world itself, even without the various explanations, begins to realize that it is now at an important transitional stage. Of course, not everyone understands it. There are always people who don’t catch the main point, or turn a deaf ear to the call of the time.

There are reasons for it since those who essentially have summoned the current financial-economic crisis are still hiding the true situation, preferring to live in euphoria, in their fantasies. However, with each day, they understand more and more clearly that the situation is critical and there’s nothing that can be done. Regardless of the giant sums of dollars and euros thrown into the economy, there is no money to pay the accounts and there’s no means that would allow paying off the debt somehow.

Today, returning to the cash register, they realize that it’s not simply empty, but has gone into a hopeless minus. That’s why everything that’s being done today is not intended to correct the situation but to delay the inevitable end by a few more months. Finally, it becomes clear that a huge “tsunami” is waiting for us, a blow that the world will not be able to bear. Society is not yet aware of what’s going on, but it’s simply a matter of time.

As a consequence, the elite are planning various steps and are devising scenarios for the development of events from global to local. What options do they have? Of course, it would be best for them to cross everything out and begin the game anew. But how can we do it? Since then the standard of living of people will decrease by 50% and even more. The previous social and economic mechanisms will stop working. Those who used to sit up high will fall down. There will be nothing left of the banks which used to stand behind this game. In the end, a grave uncertainty lies ahead of us.

As a rule in such situations, under the pressure of the circumstances, not seeing another way out, humanity starts wars and rebellions. So possibly, hard times are waiting for us.

This is especially true for the Jewish people since, as Baal HaSulam writes at the end of the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar” and in other places, that the whole of correction is placed upon Israel. The events which are happening in the European banks and in other financial-economic organizations are surely directed by the Creator, who by these means is leading us towards the realization of evil in the egoistic world and is harshly obliging us to get rid of the current approach that is aimed only at material benefit. He is leading us towards the realization that it’s necessary to change values. From now on, the spiritual must become the goal for us, and the material must become the means.

It’s impossible to imagine what suffering is needed in order to change the values of each one separately and of humanity as a whole. This is because man isn’t ready, doesn’t understand, and doesn’t feel what is required of him. How much must the pressure rise? What terrifying feeling of helplessness and confusion has to make him go mad? What problems and suffering must he experience and still be left alive? And in all of this madness, how can one realize that only one thing is required, to support that little bit that is necessary for the body and give the rest to the soul?

What is being talked about here is the change of large egoistic values in the whole of humanity in order to raise it from the current state to where it will desire only one thing, to live in bestowal. However not by force, man will desire it on his own, realizing, understanding, and feeling that here it is, the great goal, desired by all, towering above life and death, above all.

So how can man come to bestowal and unity? How can one get out of egoism, from one’s own body and to connect to others? How can one join others completely, to feel the whole world as your own and to desire to care for everyone, to feel all of this instead of the current relationships and values? We are talking about a radical transformation from one end of the scale to the other. We don’t understand how such a thing can happen. Humanity would rather end its life in suicide.

This is exactly where the upper force is revealed, the Reforming Light that implements its action in a good way or bad. However, great suffering is necessary for this when people actually, and not just say it, but feel that death is better than such a life. Only when man rises above the edge of life and death, the upper force is revealed and controls the action. A short shock will not be enough here, these states must be felt through in depth to the death, which is not life itself, but its current base, the egoistic desire.

Critical stages are now in front of us that will develop exactly in this way if we don’t sweeten them with the methodology of correction, the science of Kabbalah. It’s today, the first time in history, that it’s revealing itself in front of everyone in various forms in order to show humanity and firstly to the whole nation of Israel the possibility of passing from the path of suffering to the path of the Torah.

In order for this to happen, we are explaining to people about the evolution moved by the development of egoism, the transfer between the levels, freedom of will which is already accessible to us and helping us to measure the character of the transformation from one state into another. A decisive moment in history is arriving. Egoism has been developing us for hundreds of years, but today we arrive at the state of common evil and we must now realize the common good. This is already a new stage of humanity, life in bestowal instead of receiving.

If we don’t sweeten the transition states through the science of Kabbalah with the explanations that will help understanding, realizing the development, and cooperating with it, if we don’t attract the Reforming Light and pass it to humanity, having become the “Light for the nations,” then the transition into the next state will be very difficult.

We already see the economic downturn and the threat of a war. Many more things are yet to be revealed to us in the future. And all of this will not happen sometime in the future, it is not somewhere beyond the horizon but here and now, and further on in the schedule. Of course, problems will only keep growing and the whole world will yield to strife and war. Although bringing the world to economic failure is done by the will of the Creator, the organizations simply do not see another way out. It’s impossible to settle the current debts. That’s why all of the known means, such as war, protectionism, and fascism are immediately becoming armed and seem to be the solution to the problems.

In these circumstances, a powerful dissemination campaign is required of us, not a short term burst, but an unending wave, moving like a wall and collapsing unto the whole world. This is our exact task: to organize pressure by way of explanation and even by the means of propaganda about that which the methodology of correction offers.

The time has come to start. We need to prepare ourselves as soon as possible to create various types of wide coverage, sharpened, decisive, and not concealing anything, and to activate them, firstly in Israel, in the most important place in the world, from which the news will flow to the whole of humanity through all channels. Besides this, we need to disseminate it through our groups around the whole world.

Baal HaSulam: “Time to Act”: For a long time now, my conscience has burdened me with a demand to come out and create a fundamental composition regarding the essence of Judaism, religion, and the wisdom of Kabbalah, and spread it among the nation, so people will come to know and properly understand these exalted matters in their true meaning.

We have to understand how difficult it is for a Kabbalist to act outside his framework. After all, there are significant restrictions on the revelations of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Even now, when not much has been revealed yet, we see that humanity has acquired from the wisdom of Kabbalah the foundations of the animate level of existence in many aspects. It has enriched the world by different methods throughout history: by the Greek philosophers and by different students who leaked the wisdom. The religions were born as a result: first Judaism, then Christianity, and then Islam. Different beliefs stemmed from this in the days of Abraham among the people of the East.

Eventually everything stems from crumbs of the wisdom of Kabbalah, which speaks about the forces that operate in the world and which bring a person to the predetermined correction.

On this basis people have established philosophical approaches, metaphysical studies, different theological doctrines, etc. Later these patterns became a great obstacle on the way to the truth. People were confused since they took separate systematic descriptions from the wisdom of Kabbalah and they created different systems and concepts from them as they saw fit. Thus, they tried to confirm their own claim to truth and power, denying the accuracy of Kabbalah. We should learn from these examples: People have a systematic perspective from the wisdom of Kabbalah and turn it into something that is beneficial to them.

Because of this there was a ban on revealing the wisdom of Kabbalah. After all, if the Light is poured into an unprepared vessel, it is called “immature fruit,” and it is an obstacle in receiving the truth; it evokes hatred towards Israel and distances people from correction.

As a result the sages were very careful and didn’t reveal the wisdom of Kabbalah. Even if a person had heard about it he couldn’t get any information about it. Only in the last thirty years did Kabbalah books begin to appear in stores although not everywhere. Before, it was simply impossible to find them.

Moreover, Kabbalists set serious limitations regarding potential student and even spread negative rumors to keep the Jewish people from approaching the wisdom of Kabbalah. If a person is not intended for it, if doesn’t have a true burning desire, he shouldn’t deal with this wisdom. First he has to go through certain phases of development, since we are all parts of the general desire that ripens gradually.

Only today has the time come when there is nothing to fear anymore. On the contrary, we have to spread the wisdom of Kabbalah, which means to act in opposite ways.

On the whole, Baal HaSulam was the first Kabbalist to reveal this wisdom to the masses. He wrote a lot for the general public, including the newspaper The Nation and other articles. Who knows what thoughts, concern and efforts it cost him since he was in Warsaw at the beginning of the last century when he decided that there was no choice and that we have to turn to everyone.

Question: There is group work and there is dissemination. What should be the internal clarification so that there will be no diversion to one side or another, so that there will be a harmonious integration inside me?

Answer: A harmonious integration is when you feel that nothing matters, that the external world, the group, the Creator, and you are all the same. Only then will there be a harmonious integration, at the end of correction. In the meantime, you will always have the problem of what to deal with. We have to judge according to the circumstances.

Of course, the main thing is the group and the state it is in, since if I don’t have that I have nothing to disseminate with and nothing to turn to the Creator with. I cannot turn to Him by myself.

So the group and its connection are primary. Then comes the attitude, that is, I am with the group as a collective revelation, the clarification of the Creator as the One who creates, corrects, and fills us.

Then, when you already begin to perceive this model, you can turn to the world, since it is better to turn to the Creator when you tie it to the whole world.

Humanity can be divided into circles that have a common center.

The internal circle, the source, is made of Abraham’s students who left ancient Babel and whom many other people from other nations and from different parts of the world joined. Today, after four exiles, on the verge of the fourth redemption, a circle of “those who left the current Babel” is formed of all of humanity. Such people want to fulfill the same goal and together according to their yearning they are called “Israel,” which means straight to the Creator.

Besides that, there is another part that belongs to the category of “Israel,” which is those in whom the same Reshimot (reminiscences), the same “signs” that were left from the past when they were in spiritual ascent, are rooted. The three lines are hidden in their basis; they have experienced ascents and descents going through a series of reincarnations, and they have to correct themselves in our world since they belong to the students of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

So there are three types of people who belong the group of “Israel” these days:

• Inside is Bnei Baruch (BB).
• Around them, there are our friends from the nations of the world, from all over the world.
• On the outside, there are those who are called Jews, who are divided into two parts: religious and nonreligious.

They all have to fulfill the correction whether they want to or not. Some of them are being awakened today; these are our friends, the world Kli (in red). But on the whole, everyone is obliged to do so.

On the outside the whole world, all of humanity, or the nations of the world surround us.

Baal HaSulam, The Nation: The only hope is to establish a thoroughly new national education for ourselves, to discover and ignite once more the natural national love that have been dimmed within us. …

There is a precondition for any work and any act. Because in the beginning, the foundation must be built in a manner sufficiently healthy to carry the load it is meant to carry.

First and foremost we need education. In our time, it is of course in a broader sense: The Jewish people should be told what the human ego is and how it develops, how a nation is formed, and what it is since it isn’t about nationality but about belonging to the upper force. We have to explain what is happening in the world today, why we have reached the general crisis and how we should correct it.

Education is the precondition for any correction. If we already have an overall idea of the broad picture, then today we all must look at its basic strokes order to start the correction.

We have to show people that by correcting ourselves we rise to the level of resembling the Creator. The corruption is not somewhere on the outside, It is inside us. We should not fix something outside, but ourselves. The natural environment is not spoiled, not the economy, but we are the ones who are corrupt. After all, the external picture is an illusory projection of our internal attributes.

We need to bring people closer to this perception so that instead of correcting the world, they will start correcting themselves. Then they will finally be happy, individually and as a whole.

A very important period is starting now; I would say a crucial one. The world is in great turmoil; it is becoming increasingly clearer that we are helpless before the blows of nature: human or environmental. People have no way of understanding their real reason or how to cope with them. The upper force generates all of these events, but we cannot tell people that.

So the convention in Kharkov should show us the level of unity we need to reach in order to overcome the crisis.  The world, in any case, should understand how to move forward.

After all, we are on the verge of difficult, critical states, and they will be disclosed at an accelerating pace. Each day we will face a new world, opposite from the one we knew the day before, and that requires a new understanding, and a new approach.

The familiar feeling will disappear, and I will feel that we are living in an unknown world that reveals a new, unexpected face to me each time. I try to hold on, to bring things back to the way they used to be, but those are futile attempts. It evades me and comes to me in an unfamiliar angle, in different relationships, in strange news that I cannot understand or digest. People’s behavior changes and so does their reaction to what is happening. I begin to sense a feeling of uncertainty.

What can we say about the experts in economics, politics, education, etc.? They will encounter even greater helplessness and confusion in their fields.

So we are the only system versed in all of humanity, which is in the forefront and can lead everyone in the right direction. Actually, this direction is not less logical than different speculations that stem from the crisis, confusion, and the total lack of understanding of the problem. We already understand the spiritual logic here; we’ve already felt the changes ourselves.

How can we present the message to the world? How can we make it common knowledge? It is a problem. But the moment our message is spread among the masses, their desire will become much softer and more flexible, and we will feel a greater responsibility that will be conveyed by those around us. Then we will raise “the prayer of many” together with them.

So, we need to disseminate, but in order to fulfill our dissemination we have to unite and to be strongly connected. In order to take care of people, we have to be strong in quality, not in quantity like they are. We have to acquire the same qualitative intensity as their quantitative intensity. This is the whole problem.

Question: How can we explain to people the essence of today’s changing chaotic states?

Answer: Everyone already feels it but cannot digest it. After all, people are living their daily lives; they are “putting out fires,” spinning in a wheel hoping for the better. This is their life, and the future depends on us to the extent that we disseminate the method of correction.

My concern is not whether they will receive it, but whether I will be ready. What’s more, we have to act very quickly.

All of humanity exists in a system that resembles our body, which is comprised of interconnected parts. This connection already exists. The problem is that it doesn’t operate correctly.

After the breaking of desires, each fragment began to operate for the sake of self. The connection between them remained, only it became opposite to what it should be because each one only wished to receive for itself.

This is how the system developed after the breaking, becoming worse and worse. Because the desire to receive started to reveal itself with greater force and people thought that even though their connections were egoistic, it still helped them to develop. Today’s economists still believe that competition is good because it leads humanity to prosperity and success.

But it only appears to be good on the surface because a person feels comfortable in his egoism. However, in essence, all of our development is designed only for the sake of revealing the evil contained within our egoism, and we will reveal this at the end of our egoistic development.

Throughout the course of history, the egoistic connection between people (or broken souls) has been growing constantly. Among them, there are certain souls, which reveal themselves here and there, who do not wish to exist in accordance with the laws of receiving and competition, but who wish to exist in mutual bestowal and to help one another. These people are revealing the method of a new, altruistic connection that allows them to elevate above their egoism to a state of bestowal.

By correcting themselves, these people become a positive part of the general system. These are the Kabbalists, special people that have revealed the force of bestowal, and thanks to them, it flows into the general body or the general soul like fresh blood. This flow will cause the general soul to come alive and awaken.

This entire mechanism is beginning to awaken from the dead. After all, it was completely destroyed, and now there are parts of it that are starting to heal by connecting between each other. These parts are becoming more active within the system and strengthening their connection to each other, thereby awakening the entire system and injecting it with the force of bestowal through the natural connections that exist between all its parts: the broken parts, the corrected parts, and those in the process of correction.

As a result, all parts of the system are receiving a small energy boost and inspiration from the parts that are correcting themselves. For this reason the righteous are called the foundation of the world.

Even if we don’t disseminate widely, our work and efforts in uniting still will affect the parts of the system that aren’t able to discover the method of correction for themselves. After all, we exist in a single field, a single organism, but, in order to accelerate the process of development, we have to include external dissemination.

Baal HaSulam wrote about the necessity of revealing the science of Kabbalah in his article, “Time to Act,” as well as in his newspaper, The Nation. This helped to awaken people, which corresponds with our incredibly accelerated times.

This gives each part of the system the opportunity to awaken and to see that our crisis state is not accidental and that we aren’t doomed for suffering passively our entire lives. The crisis is a sign that we must accept the method of correction as soon as possible.

The Light, the power of correction, fulfillment and bestowal, enters the general system only through its corrected parts. The corrected parts of the system are called Israel (straight to the Creator), and their numbers are growing because more new parts are awakening to the correction.

They are called the inner part of the general soul. The rest of the parts that aren’t yet correcting themselves are called the external part or the nations of the world. Ultimately, everyone will unite and reach full correction.

The first man who revealed it, who attained the wisdom of Kabbalah 5773 years ago, was called Adam. We will be celebrating his birthday soon. After all, the biblical new year is the birthday of Adam as a Kabbalist, the day when he revealed the upper world, the upper force. He wrote a book about it, “The Secret Angel.” We count from this first revelation of the upper world.

In fact, humanity is given 6,000 years to understand itself and its highest level (the status equal to the Light). Since the days of Adam, the discoverer of the upper world, 5773 years have passed. Thus, 227 years remain before the end of the process.

But this process can be realized sooner. Why? Because until now we have evolved under the influence of the driving upper force, almost without using our knowledge to rise to the level of the upper Light, to reveal It, and to ascend to the next degree, to the next dimension.

So, today, the unfolding global crisis, which has long been written about by Kabbalists, is precisely in order to give us all an impulse towards our combined, common, global development. And so now, we can apply the wisdom of Kabbalah, which teaches us how to attract the upper Light. The entire method is in this; there is nothing else.

We are in the egoistic desire to be fulfilled to reveal ourselves. As a result, our desire to be fulfilled will be filled with the upper Light. Kabbalah is a guide that explains how each state can attract the upper Light to itself in its maximum intensity and develop.

We have been studying this methodology for a while. First, there was a long “latent period” when we learned, created all sorts of teaching aids, books, and everything else. And now, the global crisis is beginning to flare up, that is when our global egoism shows us its ending, the inability to continue to exist in the previous paradigm; it will have to start to change because in its current state, it will drive itself to death, to terrible conditions. And we are already seeing this.

In the great mass of people, there is a need to do something with themselves. So here, as the carriers of the method of attracting the Light, we have to think not only about ourselves, but also about all of mankind. For this we were given such “inspiration,” such a desire as to become attracted to Him, to discover the meaning of life.

And the meaning of life is to rise to the level of the Light, the level of eternity, infinity, the level of perfection and harmony. We need to attain this level in practice, on ourselves, and also to teach it to the whole world.

We are interconnected. It is only in our sensations that the desire created by the Light was split into seven billion pieces. Each of us is a little bit of that desire, and his relation to the other today is repulsion, egoistic. To attract the Light is possible to the extent to which we try to unite today.

This condition is called the law of similarity, the law of similarity of the desire to the Light. As far as the desire, in spite of its egoism, will make an effort and strive for unity, so it will rise to the Light, becoming more and more like It.

It is impossible to become similar to the Light just by trying to unite because this unity is false, superficial. However, the attempts, the efforts, that we put in order to unite, attract the awakening of the higher Light on us. It affects us, and Its influence begins to correct our egoistic desire from “for its own sake” (from its egoistic force) to “for the sake of bestowal” (to unity with others).

That Light will realize connection between us and our unity will actually lead us to the similarity with the Light, and will create a network of relationships of bestowal, up to a relationship of love, that is, to mutual inclusion into each other.

When I feel the desires of others like my own, want to fulfill them through myself, and live to do this, then I get out of my egoism and exist in fulfilling others. This existence is called the higher, above our egoism. And thus, we find the connection between us in this huge system.

This system is revealed gradually. All that we learn with you in Kabbalah: the Sefirot, Partzufim, worlds, and all kinds of relationships between them are the relationships between us and this system. It all happens between us up to the extent that the system of our relationship becomes the world of Infinity, that is, a system of absolute interconnectedness, analog, integrated, and interdependent. And then in it, in accordance with this, the upper Light or the Creator is revealed in it without any interference, in its absolute form.

The current state of the world is much worse than we feel, see and know. It is true that we do not talk about it because politicians and economists are not interested in creating a panic. They have no answer to the question about the crisis. They have no answer, and there is nothing you can do. Why should one panic in vain? And they’re right.

But we need to provide to people who are in a state of fear of hunger, drought, cold, shock, and the unpredictable approaching from all sides now. We should try to absorb all the animal fears of the world, fears of survival. They help us to gather and reveal that force, the surrounding Light (Ohr Makif), which will pass through us to the world, and everything will calm down. All the countries, societies, and people will begin to interact because they will understand that this is the only way to bring the world to balance, that not the still, not the vegetative, not the animate nature, but only the human being disturbs harmony, and everything else is disturbed by his egoistic actions.

We lack anxiety; we lack internal hysteria. If it were there, it would be easier.

Our problem is that we are disconnected from this world and try to find a quiet corner somewhere in our higher place. This is not good. On the contrary, we should find, on one hand, the state of the greatness of the goal, and on the other hand, inner fears, because our egoism is fed only by these. Fear and the greatness of the goal are two great forces that are pushing us from behind (fear) and drawing us forward (the greatness of the goal). They will help us to unite.

We should put pressure on ourselves to try to absorb from the world all of its negative feelings that arise in connection with the crisis and to turn them into the force of our development. Indeed, development occurs under the law of “negation of negation.” Until we feel more or less normal, we will not come to the next state. Only suffering or the greatness of the goal, when I suffer because I don’t have it, makes us go.

There are two types of suffering: suffering from a lack of feeling and suffering from unfulfilled love.
