Question: What should we expect from dissemination?

Answer: Dissemination makes new points in the heart (•) awaken below, who come and join us since they pertain the category of Israel, like all our friends around the world.

This is the upper Partzuf. Below is the part that pertains to Israel from birth. In other words, it already has experienced spiritual ascent and breaking, and lower is the part of the “nations of the world,” souls deprived of Reshimot, the “genetic” spiritual memory, and they lack the point in the heart. They are awakened by the Surrounding Light.

Let us examine this through the simple design of two Partzufim—Israel and the nations of the world—where each one divides in two: an internal part (A) and an external part (B). Israel has a point in the heart, and must maintain a connection with the upper Light, attracting it and introducing it into the inner part of the nations of the world.

We, like the nations, also have problems, only we regard them as the means for advancement. However, if we were to advance at the right speed, we would not experience problems. We would only reveal the need for adhesion in its pure form. Problems, which do not seem to be related to spirituality, are caused by our delay in development.

Regarding the nations of the world, they must pressure us with the so-called MAN (appeal for the Light), and we must pass this pressure above, also as a request, but of a different quality.

However, our state is not yet corrected the way it potentially can be corrected, and this is why, instead of feeling a spiritual appeal from the nations, we feel physical pressure to the point of hatred, murder, and threats of complete destruction. Instead of spiritual means, the system influences us with rough, physical methods because there are no appeals or answers to these appeals going through it, and there is a bad negative connection between its parts.

Question: What should spiritual pressure be like? How is it different from physical pressure?

Answer: Spiritual pressure also manifests physically, but in accordance with our degree. The upper governance never changes. It is the same “Good Who does good.” He only appears to be very bad when we fall behind.

A child who has failed to graduate the third grade when he should be in fifth grade, regards his parents the same way. Their demands seem to be extreme, harsh, and very difficult, but it is only because he is not yet ready. If he wanted to correspond to his level and advance, he would regard his parents’ demands as helpful, and then they would direct him toward the next degree. Instead of hard pressure, he would feel as if he were being taken by his hand and guided in the right direction.

To help a child solve a problem at hand, he is asked leading questions that help him advance, become wiser, and grow. He is given building blocks, puzzles, and other games, to help him develop, and he understands it. However, what can you do when it is time for him to learn to play chess, and he still walks around with a pacifier and plays with rattles?

So, when we are on an adequate level of development, we then experience the upper One as “Good Who does good.” We feel while in the opposite way that: He wants to pull us to the next level and this is why He has demands; however, we read these demands incorrectly.

However, if we have not reached the level adjacent with the upper One, then we perceive His influence as concealment. This is because this influence does not go through its opposite side, like that which we want to become, but it goes through its “wrong side,” and this is a problem: We are not able to perceive the upper One as “Good Who does good.” We do not see his care. We do not know about His existence or program. This is called “concealment within concealment.”

Today, we are in the middle between this state and regular concealment where it already is possible to justify the upper One and understand that He conceals Himself in order to raise us and take care of us. This is similar to the way a child receives a set of building blocks and not the actual construction, not the prepared result, and if the child is bright, he understand that this is done for his own good, for his development.

Humankind develops from small to large egoism. Sometime ago, a person naturally discovered that he needs a family; moreover, the bigger the family, the more secure he is. This way, he instinctively started to unite with others, as he came out of a barbarian state.

Families would grow and become tribes, and they expanded so much that people who used to be distant, became close. Villages and cities appeared, family ties gave way to more extended formations, a nation, living in their own country and connected by their belonging to their common destiny, a common mentality.

However, family ties also kept their power, remaining necessary for existence until recently. Only during the last decades, we have destroyed these boundaries, providing people with services, which allow him to no longer feel the need for a family. This led to the crisis in the family institution because marriage no longer promises the same benefits. At the same time, the feeling of belonging to a nation is very important for a person.

However, we continue to develop, and today, like it or not, a new feeling is growing inside us, which now encompasses the entire globe. This is because modern technologies and communications have made the world small and accessible. Today, it is charged with great interdependence, distances become smaller, systems become unified, and we are approaching the state of a single whole.

This way, if before the notion of a “family,” though weakened, still extended all the way to the borders of the country and was as wide as the nation itself, now it encompasses all of mankind. Migration is increasing, nations are mixing, borders are being erased; today, everything is moving in this direction.

What can we say about the people of Israel in this connection? Its foundation was laid by a group of Kabbalists, created by Abraham. These people were not connected in any way, except for a single thing: At a certain stage of their inner development, they felt that unity was the way to attain the Creator.

The other residents of Ancient Babylon also strived towards the Creator, but in another way, they were building the Tower of Babel egoistically, wishing to become like Him. These ambitions kept growing over the course of all of history: “We will control our own lives, we will play with trade and production, we will conquer the cosmos, we, we, we…”

However, even back then, certain Babylonians already wanted to attain the essence of life, and not just to keep pleasing themselves in every possible way. After all, the purpose of life is the attaining of its essence. And this is why, when the crisis arose and the Tower of Babel was destroyed, these people heard Abraham and understood that there is a method that allows penetrating the essence and revealing the upper force.

And today we are in a similar situation. Individuals, among the modern “Babylonians” of the world, gather into the group of Bnei Baruch in order to reveal the Creator. They are called the “people of Israel.”

In addition, there are the “corporeal” people of Israel, the descendants of those who once came out of Babylon with Abraham in the first global crisis. The Reshimot, the “footprints” of the path they have traveled, remained in them, and we must take care of them. This is because every one of them has “marks” from the previous ascent and the breaking that followed.

This is the reason people hate them: On one hand, by breaking, they have passed sparks of bestowal to the entire world, and on the other hand, everyone feels that they are unique and that a certain darkness comes from them—unique as a consequence of the sparks, and darkness as a consequence of the current situation.

We will still reveal a lot along the way, but one way or another, today the time has come to turn to the nation, the descendants of the students of Abraham, the descendants of the Ancient Babylon. As Baal HaSulam writes in his newspaper The Nation, they themselves must awaken a national connection in their environment. And this connection can only be based on a single thing: the principle of loving one’s neighbor as themselves. The Jewish people were initially founded this way, and could they structure themselves any other way today? All the attempts only demonstrate that without their foundation, this nation is like a sack of nuts, ready to fall apart and spread around the world at the first opportunity.

And this is why Baal haSulam writes: “This is why I stated that we need to arrange for ourselves a special education through widespread circulation, instill in each of us a sense of national love, both from one person to another, and from the individuals to the whole, and rediscover the national love that was instilled within us since the time we were on our land, a nation among the nations.”

If the nation fails to acquire their foundation, it will not manage to stay within the borders of the country and lay its roots there. This is why the entire world does not agree with the return of the Jews to their land; it does not yet feel like they have the consciousness of a nation, which must live in the land of Israel. Jews are able to live anywhere, and many do not yet feel like they pertain to and are interconnected with their nation. This vice is felt in them and the entire world, which reacts accordingly.

Question: During the breaks at the convention, there will be a presentation of books, the Internet, and so forth. Won’t this distract from the internal flow of the convention?

Answer: The fact is that we still must think about what we are coming out with to the world. A person leaves the convention, goes home, and what is next?

As our ascent depends on the dissemination breadth-wise, we must give everyone some knowledge about what it is in general that we do: the Internet, books, lectures, workshops, roundtables, and so forth. We must show all this to everyone. That is why there should be short fifteen-minute presentations during the breaks.

With what do we leave the convention? We leave with that which we need to take further into the world. Each of us should try to be a lecturer, an organizer of workshops, a distributor, and so on. I am addressing you, personally, everyone! The world will need the integral method; even now, it needs it, but it is not yet aware of this. And you will see in a couple of months that they will run after you; you will be in demand because no one except you will feel what should be done in any case to get the correct result, because you will think integrally.

You will be the teachers of the world, advisers to prime ministers and bankers and to ordinary workers because you will be able to see why this should happen, and not otherwise. This is what is called, “Come for a blessing.” You will be required and in demand. Thus, you still should be included in dissemination.

Question: Do we have to be humiliated before we reach connection?

Answer: We are low with regards to our ego, but not with regards to the goal and the Creator.

Question: But still, why do we develop by suffering?

Answer: How else? If we feel good, we won’t move forward. On the contrary, such feelings block our way. This is because “goodness” is pleasure and fulfillment, and if I am content, I don’t move. This is the natural reaction of my egoistic desire. On the other hand, when I feel bad and it hurts, I immediately look for a way out.

A person is a feeling element. Pleasure prevents him from any action; it prevents movement for an unlimited time. If a person feels good, he won’t move, if you “prick” him by sufferings or even by lack of fulfillment, he will immediately begin to look around searching for a new source of pleasure. If the dissatisfaction exceeds the threshold, a person begins to move.

On the development level of the still nature, by being motionless, he doesn’t fill himself and only develops new desires, until the sufferings grow and oblige him to move to the level of the animate. The plant knows how to open up to the sun and to absorb nutrients, to breathe, and it seems to be calm, but once again there is something missing and even more than before. This obliges him to move and to exhibit greater activity in order to enjoy.

This is how our desire to receive is created: It is enough to feel pleasure or pain and by balancing them it undoubtedly reaches the goal. Nothing else is required from it. This process depends on the size of the desire and on its uniqueness and its diversity. Suppose, I am a great egoist; the egoistic fulfillment overcomes me and conceals me under a load that weighs thousands of tons. I can’t do anything other than to enjoy. In order to come out of this situation, I need to receive thousands of tons of sufferings and one kilo more, which means to totally empty my vessel and add some more negativity to it. Only then will I move from my place.

Thus two opposites meet: The more advanced I am the greater my desire. It hangs over me thus demanding greater work and curbing the process, so we have no choice. The desire responds only to pleasure or to pain and so we have to go through them.

But what is the use of these falls? Give me pleasure, and I will immediately freeze in my place, give me some deficiency, and I begin to move. It can be compared to an engine that runs on AC power: if you connect a constant current to it, it will stop. This is because the consistency doesn’t fill the deficiencies and the fulfillment in an alternating order of being emptied of your fillings. So what is required of me if the response of my desire was given to me from the start? How can I break out of this closed circuit?

This is why the mind develops by the desire as a separate parallel system. It accumulates information in its archive, identifies the causes and the goals, and evaluates the phases that it has been through and weighs the future states. Today, in the last the spiritual phase of our development, the cognitive element is the important one. Until now we have been pushed forward by our feelings and now the time has come to develop in our awareness.So our connection brings everyone wisdom by enabling us to exchange data and by providing great experience and a deep understanding. Thus we can avoid many troubles since the current state demands that we develop very quickly, and in several decades, if not before attaining the end of correction. So just imagine what afflictions we will have to go through.

So, the key to our development is education, understanding and recognition, and in activities that make a person feel and understand that feeling. A qualitative development is required here. On the whole, it’s very important for us to disseminate this wisdom; this is the uniqueness of our generation.

Baal HaSulam, “The Nation”: The only hope is to establish a thoroughly new national education for ourselves, to discover and ignite once more the natural national love that have been dimmed within us.

Question: What should we do with the part of the nation of Israel that is not ready to listen to us, that don’t want to have anything to do with us?

Answer: We should try to reach them from another angle and then from another one, in different innovative ways. We have no choice since they are like your own child. There is nothing you can do: He has been born and he is tied to you in unbreakable ties. So whether you want to or not, you carry your load and try to do everything in your power, looking for a remedy for every illness that he may have.

Besides, we should understand that it is a replica of us; it is our vessel and not something foreign to us. We cannot discard the world, reality, or any part of it.

People refuse to listen to us and it is perfectly natural. It is worse when they want to, since then they mean something that is totally different from what we mean. We should be more creative with the “fans,” in order to turn them in the right direction. If a person just rejects us then this may be the simplest case.

One way or the other, we shouldn’t give up and leave. The easiest thing to do is to say: “Let them suffer.” But these are your parts, your self that is spread throughout humanity, but you only feel a tiny part of it, 80 kilos of your weight and nothing more than that. Gradually you will discover additional new parts of yourself. So just imagine what pain you would feel if you found out the truth; would it be possible to dump people then?

Question: So what can we do? It is as if we are bumping into a wall unable to penetrate it…

Answer: We are not trying enough. If we tried enough there wouldn’t be such problems. It all depends on us. A person judges himself and the whole world to the scale of merit. Try to exert yourself in the group, in connection. Try to do your best there, and then go out to the external circles.

Question: If eventually everyone will know about the wisdom of Kabbalah, then is the mutual guarantee movement a temporary means?

Answer: Yes, but we don’t know how long it will take. After all, the point is not the name but in approaching people according to their desires. If in the meantime, a person wants to know how to succeed in his material life, I have to wrap my wisdom in wrappings that will be pleasant and comfortable for him.

On the whole it is about Lights and vessels, but for him these Lights should be expressed in good health, in his children’s education, in a comfortable life, a vacation, etc., so I explain to him that it is possible to attain all that by unity and by giving to others.

Its essence is the same: the correction of the vessel. There is no other activity in this world. The question is only on what level a person acknowledges this. I measure his exact level of awareness and always give him the dose that he can digest and which I understand is for his own good. I dress the corrections with “clothing” that he can accept since he sees that it is for his own good.

I don’t suggest that a person should give up his comfort and devote himself to hard work and to the well being of others. I offer him a pleasant way to unite, which he will actually enjoy and which will also bear good fruit. I don’t tell people that something bad may happen to them, I don’t assign a fee for the wellbeing; on the contrary, together we use the wonderful means and reach wonderful results.

Accordingly I don’t feel the mutual guarantee as an obligation either, but as pleasant mutual help and concern for one another. It is all in the form of a “sweet syrup,” like for children. These are the same corrections, but in a hidden manner.

Question: So at what point is there a switch from mutual guarantee to Kabbalah?

Answer: I don’t know. It may be in another 30-40 years and it may be tomorrow. You see how things are happening now at a much greater pace.

But it doesn’t matter to me, I do what I can at the current historical moment and not more than that.

Question: Will only those who study the wisdom of Kabbalah be able to understand the real reason for the problems?

Answer: That’s right. The others will reach it either by the path of suffering or through our dissemination.

We are not hiding the role of the wisdom of Kabbalah, but why should we shout it in vain? Since things are getting worse, we can explain to people the reason for what is going on. But again, we don’t promise that there will be new problems, but we provide solutions for the current problems. We don’t call this solution “the wisdom of Kabbalah,” but “unity.” Why should we use a term that scares some people and is repulsive to others? After all, we are not changing the meaning, but getting closer to people. We don’t wave our finger at them scolding them, and we don’t scare them with stories about approaching disasters; we don’t condemn the egoism but offer them an idea: “Let’s unite together correctly and we will all feel good.”

No one can object to this and we will overcome the disrespect—the main thing is to get started.

We should tell people what they want to hear, we should speak so that they can perceive our ideas and implement them in their everyday life. Otherwise they will hate you; they will block the idea and disparage and discredit it. This is why it says: “Educate a child in his own way.”

 Question: How can we transfer the sensation of the new values such as friend, teacher, and group to the 99% of the population?

Answer: When the Light will become revealed, it will give us additional weight, feeling, and importance of each of each of these terms. For the time being I perceive it something abstract.

I will begin to see that these are the components of my soul, the state of my soul, parts of my soul, and that the entire world is one general soul. There is only Malchut and no one exists outside of it. Today we exist in a state of illusion called our world, thinking that we exist outside of the general soul.

The first spiritual state is the minimal sensation of existing together with everyone  in a single system .

Question: Presently, few people are attracted to the wisdom of Kabbalah. Should we expect awakening of new points in the heart as we continue to disseminate?

Answer: I have no precise answer to this question. I don’t want to determine things that were not written by the Kabbalists.

You should understand that some are strong by their quantity, others by their quality. It is said: “You are the few among the nations.” Even in the future there will be not very many people as friends in the groups throughout the world, nor will there be lots of supporters, the broader circles that are not oriented to the wisdom of Kabbalah since they don’t completely feel the same way we do, but who are close to us, who listen to us and follow us.

Our strength is not in numbers, but in the height, in understanding, recognition and connection with Godliness. Through us, as through the zigzag of the lightening, various recommendations, programs, event plans for broad auditoriums will come down from heaven to earth. Then, probably because there is no other choice, or because people will start believing us, or due to some other reasons, they will get used to and accept our message.

As Baal HaSulam said, if there is at least one who can see in the head of the column of blind people, they should follow him with complete confidence that they will eventually reach the goal. I don’t think that there will be serious changes here. We provide lectures, set up roundtables, open campuses; however, we do this not because we want to draw people into our organization. On the contrary, we have to work in “their territory” and transfer a general, common method of correction to them, rather than deliver to them our specifics.

“Screens,” “Lights,” “Vessels,” “Partzufim,” and “Restrictions” are not for them. People need to know about unity, which will ease their material life.

This is our message to the audience. We shouldn’t “inject” Kabbalah and “high matters” into them. We have to speak with people at “eye level,” according to the “pulse of their heart,” about something that worries them, about their “deficiencies” like the upbringing of children and other everyday problems. We should slightly accentuate their desires and show them that there is a tool that will “calm them down”—our methodology.

Baal HaSulam, “Introduction to The Book of Zohar,” Item 68: Do not be surprised that one person’s actions bring elevation or decline to the whole world, for it is an unbending law that the general and the particular are as equal as two peas in a pod. And all that applies in the general, applies in the particular, as well. Moreover, the parts make what is found in the whole, for the general can appear only after the appearance of the parts in it, according to the quantity and quality of the parts. Evidently, the value of an act of a part elevates or declines the entire whole.

From the perception of reality we know that the world that I see is me and that my spiritual vessel is divided, shattered, and distant from me in my senses and my recognition and is spread in different directions. There is no world, it is all me. If I collect its parts and bring them closer to one another on all levels: the still nature, the vegetative, the animate and the speaking; if I connect them into one general integral system in which they are connected in whole mutuality, then their mutual connection, the mutual interdependence, the mutual incorporation, enables me to discover to the same extent the force that connects and that keeps them alive, and the currents that flow between these organs.

A doctor who implants an organ attaches different organs to a body and they connect to the general systems. In the same way I too, to the extent that I create new connections, feel the upper force that flows between my parts and which brings them life. I begin to feel who the Creator is by the vitality of the body, according to the principle of “from your actions we shall know you.” He is revealed gradually in my corrected body, until I am totally corrected and reach full adhesion with Him.

By correcting myself with regards to the whole world, I summon the general correction of the world of course. Since eventually I and the world are the same.

The question is why shouldn’t all the others just wait if I already correct the world? Why should we all connect and participate in the process?

The point is that everything depends only on the mutual incorporation of the vessels (the desires) that help each other, as it says: “Every man shall help his brother.” I connect with others and others connect with me and we all connect with the Kabbalists from previous generations and with those who have not reached the desire to be corrected and to connect yet. If we actively care for everyone, if we act with regards to the upper and the lower, if we are equal, as it should be among friends, then everyone corrects his own whole world.

You cannot correct what I correct and what you correct another cannot correct. But this doesn’t annul the main principle according to which by correcting himself a person corrects the whole world. Everyone has his own world and by connecting to others I pass the Light to them through me, like a blood vessel, in different possible ways and in different connection systems. No one will do it for me.

On the contrary, if a person corrects the world, it obliges him and brings him to correction. Thus, widespread dissemination helps us correct ourselves according to the same reason: A person and the world are the same thing. So you shouldn’t leave the corrections of the world as a whole. Baal HaSulam says that the more a person advances, the greater and higher he is, and his concern for the world is also greater and wider. First it is the family, then the town then the state, and eventually he embraces the whole world and it is impossible to avoid that.

Question: By disseminating the message of unity in the world, we bring the force of the Light. What is the best way to conduct the Light to a person? How can we feel him?

Answer: The Light flows from desire to desire. Words are not so effective because they are something external. By words, we touch a man with the rigid mechanism of standard perception: He was accustomed to different opinions; he can resist because of his pride; he does not agree with you because of his own feelings, regardless of the benefits that he could get.

No matter what we try to convey to people, it is desirable to clothe it in the least possible number of layers. And language is a very “dense” kind of clothing. After all, the words must pass through the person’s mind, constrained by too many factors.

The best way is to send our message is emotionally, sharing the feeling of the addressee, imbued with his enthusiasm, because the desire does not think, but feels. We must pull together our desire with his desire, resonate with his feelings, and then you will radiate on the person what you want. And your desire contains the Light that Reforms.

If you send a message through the rational system, it remains external and difficult to digest. This is a sure path to failure. People usually are not inspired by the fruits of reason. There are plenty of clever people in the world: Today, you convinced me of something, and tomorrow I will be able to convince you.

On the other hand, the emotional response is stored as “records” (Reshimo), and even after ten years a person can return to it. Even a random thought is enough, and he will remember the scene, the situation that he once experienced. Knowledge and thoughts become forgotten, but feelings always remain.

It is very important: No matter what audience we may address, even including scientists, we should carry the feeling that would produce a response. We turn to the desire, to human needs, and try to give an answer to what he lacks, to give a solution to his problems, or at least a hope for a solution.

This requires roundtable discussions, workshops, and collaborative activities that carry a nice feeling, as if we invite people to have a good time: “Let’s do it, and you will cheer up. You will see that not all is bad in life, that it has another side. ”

It is like a drug that Kabbalists call the “elixir of life.” It does not intoxicate, does not disconnect from reality, but helps one to overcome it, and this is its difference from real drugs. Due to positive emotions and inspiration, people start to appreciate unity and continue on the path.

The same applies to children, even the little ones. They should know that if they play together nicely, they will get a prize. Unity does not rouse their positive feelings yet, and that is why we give them candies or gifts, for which they should stick together. They will be ten-times more friendly to each other in anticipation of the prize, and then the habit becomes the second nature. After all, they have already learned to play many games together and already adopted a common form.
