“Coronavirus And The Virus Of Hatred Against Jews” (Times Of Israel)

The Times of Israel published my new article “Coronavirus and the Virus of Hatred Against Jews

It was just a matter of time until the coronavirus virus would be linked to anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. It is well known that when things go wrong, Jews are to blame, and this global threat is no exception.

Once again, the Jewish people are accused of deliberately causing the epidemic for self-gain as with other plagues throughout history, prompting online haters to call for their extermination. “Finally! Science has discovered a cure for the most insidious disease of our time…Jewishness,” reads a recent post on social media.Blood Libels Spread As a Virus

Hundreds of years ago, another epidemic broke out in China. In the middle of the 14th century, the bubonic plague, known as the “Black Death,” emerged in Asia. From Mongolia, it spread to China, and from there to the Middle East, Africa and Europe. In five years, the devastating epidemic killed almost 50 million people worldwide, wiping out over half of Europe’s residents.

Back then, the global catastrophe was attributed to the poisoning of wells by Jews who allegedly aimed at establishing a worldwide Jewish government. Medieval European Christians demonized the Jews and eventually massacred them. As a result, more than 200 Jewish communities in European cities were victims of pogroms and destruction between 1348 and 1351.

The “proof” that the Jews were to blame was the massive numbers of casualties among the general population compared to the handful of infected Jews. However, the reason for the low mortality rate among Jews is explained by the good hygiene habits among Jews proscribed as part of Jewish tradition—habits such as washing hands before meals, immersion in the mikveh (ritual bath) before and after personal relations, and treating meats with salt before cooking. Another factor which lowered mortality among Jews was the setting apart of Jewish communities within closed ghettos and isolated villages.

This week, the ancient medieval blood libel adopted a new form: the coronavirus epidemic.

Extremists have taken to the web to spread their anti-Semitic agenda, accusing the Jews for creating the virus on purpose to control the world. The Arab media has also joined in the conspiratorial trend against the US and Israel, claiming that the absence of cases in both countries is no coincidence, and that the disease is spread as part of an economic and political plot to overpower China.

The Cure to All Diseases

The people of Israel indeed hold a miracle vaccine deeply rooted within Jewish “DNA”: the power of connection to the upper force through a common prayer. In the days of the Temple, Jews lived united by threads of love, and by virtue of their positive connection, they grasped the goal of creation and were able to draw the force that guides humanity to goodness. However, as a result of unfounded hatred, the Temple was destroyed, and since then, Jews need to reconnect and build the foundation for unity among all the countries and peoples in the world.

Humanity is linked through invisible connections as in a network. Subconsciously, humanity feels that the Jewish people have a role to maintain the balance in this network since they have a special relationship with the upper force, the force that controls everything in nature on all levels: inanimate, vegetative, animate and human. In other words, the discriminatory attitude toward Jews, for good or for bad, results from the mission that only they can fulfill, which the world is demanding more and more.

The mission of the Jewish people is to reunite “as one man with one heart” and through such unity, activate the force that will help the world achieve love, peace and unity above the growing divisions. The special bond of the Jews to the upper force opens the pipeline of abundance and light to humanity. That is precisely the task of the Jewish people: to be “a light unto the nations.”

The hatred as a result of the coronavirus epidemic is merely another expression of the lack of connection between Jews. When Jews fail to fulfill their role, hatred is revealed, forcing them to raise a common prayer. Such a prayer is no ritual, but a shared desire from the bottom of our hearts for unification.

A person who prays is a person who tries to connect with others and who then judges himself in relation to his extent of connection, and his efforts to connect. This is brought about through the realization that everyone is blessed only when all are united. When we come to terms with this principle, we understand that we need to ask for help from the upper force: to change our egoistic attitude from focus on ourselves and turn it into care for others.

At this point, the prayer will be answered and unity will be possible. In such a harmonious state, humanity as a whole will be healthy and safe.

The Coronavirus Is A Wake-Up Call For China To Upgrade Its Attitude To The World

Dr. Michael LaitmanFrom My Facebook Page Michael Laitman 2/9/20

In addition to the illness, death and fear that the coronavirus has effectuated, the global economy has suffered a major $160 billion blow. In China, Apple, McDonald’s, Starbucks and dozens of other chains have closed their stores. Entire cities have been shut down and most of the “Made in China” industry has been frozen.

Humanity has yet to digest the magnitude of disruption that China, the country with the world’s largest population, can inflict. China has become a cold mega-factory operating to serve its own money and power interests on the backs of an impoverished sweated labor workforce. It has developed into a powerful and assertive country with its tentacles spread throughout the world.

The vast amount of harm that the coronavirus has triggered makes a clear point: Nature disagrees with such a quickly expansive self-benefit-focused approach. The integral and altruistic quality of nature requires each of its parts to complement one another, thereby harmonizing themselves with the whole. For this reason, it is imperative that we stop for a moment and critique the situation that the crisis in China presents, since humanity is not above nature’s laws.

History is replete with examples of the rise and fall of powerful empires that sought to aggrandize themselves at the expense of others: Ancient Egypt; the Babylonian, Roman, and Mongolian Empires; colonial Britain and France; the Nazi regime; the Soviet Union, and the list goes on. The reason behind every collapse is that, ultimately, nature forbids overblown egoism to trample the world unabated, with one country or empire having pirate access to much of the world’s resources.

More blows such as the coronavirus can be expected if China continues to fiercely expand its power around the world at the expense of other countries and populations. These crises could take many grave forms—lethal diseases, financial ruin, wars and more. The press of human development has brought us to an era characterized by inescapable global interdependence. There are no more empty spaces and we have nowhere to hide. The crises will only intensify.

The magnifying glass is now over China to undergo this attitude shift: to become positively connected with, and concerned about, humanity’s growth and success. We are all in the same boat. Therefore, if someone adds too much weight on their side, we will all topple over. China’s current egoistic expansion is doing just that. It is a recipe for disaster. China thus needs to shift its robust influence in the direction of benefiting the whole world instead of benefiting only itself.

Therefore, I hope that China and the world will rush to treat the underlying disease of the egoistic nature residing within us and not settle for merely calming the coronavirus crisis. When we learn to think globally instead of nationally, the world finally will experience peace, stability and harmony.

“Garbage” Food

The food waste is the third-largest source of greenhouse gas emissions. EU alone throws out more than 12 billion tons of food per year. In order to prevent food waste, in England, a new project has been developed: a certain time before the food has to be thrown out by restaurants and cafes, it is available for home delivery. Will such an approach give a good example and help to solve the food distribution problem in the world?

It is true, a so-called Pagpag (“garbage” food) is gaining popularity in the world. It does have a minor impact on the food-related issues, however, dealing with the consequences of the problem does not solve the root breach. We are still inclined to over-consuming and discarding the products, while a vast number of people are hungry, malnourished, etc.

What is the optimal solution?

In order to distribute food correctly, we need to learn how to consume correctly. We are required to create such of social education environment, where, even one wakes up every morning an egoist, he is pushed into the awareness that he is just a small part of a huge system and that he depends on it as well as it depends on him. This needs to be explained to a person on a daily basis, at every opportunity, through all information channels, so we all realize how we influence the world and take our responsibility on how to make it a better and happier place.

What Is The Cure For Cancer?

Each cell in our physical body has a mechanism of self-sustenance. However, it consumes only what it needs for its useful functioning within the interconnected system of tissues and organs. If, however, a single cell of the human body starts to function for a purpose other than for the entire organism, it becomes cancerous.

The same goes for people within society and nature. As soon as one begins thinking only about oneself, the system gets “influenced” by these thoughts and desires. Then, each element begins consuming everything for its own benefit, leaving nothing for others. This is how a cancerous tumor is formed. If we don’t think about others, we destroy not just us, but all other levels of nature: still, vegetative and animate. When cancerous growth of a selfish attitude toward everyone spreads beyond a certain limit, humanity starts consuming itself.

What is the solution to this situation?

The wisdom of Kabbalah states that when we understand our egoistic nature and apply efforts to rise above it through building loving connections between us, we’ll step into a new level of perception of reality. As soon as human relationships become mutual, kind, benevolent, and we all unite into one complete system, the world will become balanced, and there will be no room for cancer on any level.

“Why Connection Makes Us Happier Even If We’re Happy With Less Social Contact” (KabNet)

KabNet published my new article: “Why Connection Makes Us Happier Even If We’re Happy with Less Social Contact

Highly intelligent people are happier to have less social contact.

That is a conclusion from a study by evolutionary psychologists Satoshi Kanazawa and Norman P. Li, who examined the effects of population density, frequency of social interactions and intelligence levels in relation to people’s happiness.

It is quite a clear phenomenon. We can see how people who engage in specialized fields try to surround themselves only with whatever and whoever relates to the goals they have set for themselves.

“The principle is that when a person desires to connect with others as a means to reach the purpose of life—balance with the laws of nature—then this yearning guides the person to discover his or her perfect place in the system.”

I, too, would be happy to sit in a closed room all day with my books and my computer, and not come into contact with anyone. However, since I have come to the realization that the purpose of our lives is to correct ourselves by positively connecting with others—to transform our egoistic intention for self-benefit into an altruistic aim to benefit others, and by doing so, achieve balance with the laws of nature—then due to my adherence to life’s goal, I do whatever I can to come out of myself and connect with others.

In my case, this involves giving Kabbalah lessons every morning and evening, which is the most direct way to draw the force of connection into our lives. 1,000s of my students around the world use these lessons to increase their closeness to each other and to the laws of nature. They advance in their connection from one day to the next in groups of ten—an infrastructure for realizing such connection.

Outside of the lessons, I also have my schedule filled with speaking in programs for the TV, radio and Internet, writing articles and posts, working on books, and participating in various meetings, all in order to advance the idea of humanity’s needed connection.

Everyone has a different place in the system of creation, and thus it is unnecessary for everyone to study and spread the wisdom of Kabbalah in such an intensive way, even though the option is there for whomever so wishes.

However, the principle is that when a person desires to connect with others as a means to reach the purpose of life—balance with the laws of nature—then this yearning guides the person to discover his or her perfect place in the system. In the wisdom of Kabbalah, this is referred to as reaching the root of our soul, the ultimate harmonious state that we can all achieve.

Israel Car Accidents

Dr. Michael LaitmanFrom My Facebook Page Michael Laitman 12/12/19

The number of mobility startups in Israel has exploded from 87 to 644, making up about 10% of the country’s total startups.

Google bought the Raanana-based Waze for some $1 billion in 2013. And Intel agreed to acquire the Jerusalem-based, self-driving tech company Mobileye, for a whopping $15.3 billion.

BMW, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Uber, Volkswagen and Volvo are all paying attention, and have been investing in Israeli technology since 2016.

Ironically, while Israel is cementing its position as an auto-tech leader, the stats indicate that local car accidents are on the rise.

No matter how sophisticated our technology becomes, it will never replace the one thing that protects us the most — genuine human connection.
______________________________

The Root Cause for the Car Accidents

We typically look for technical reasons when car accidents take place — problems with the car, the road, visibility, etc. And, we typically blame other people for the rise in car accidents, but the truth is that we are all equally to blame. Why? Because at this point in our evolution we’ve simply stopped caring about our fellow man.

The ever-evolving human ego doesn’t allow us to be considerate of other people in general. We simply don’t feel others as important as ourselves. It’s a law of nature.

Our ego literally clouds our field of view from seeing the others in our way. It’s as though they don’t exist. I see only me — where I want to be and how I want to get there. And this dynamic happens not just on the roads. It’s everywhere; from international politics, through trade, to kids at school. Our ego wants others to just move out of our way.

Is There A Way Out?

What can we do? We need to start treating the root problem: we can’t stop the naturally growing human ego, but we can learn how to rise above it, and that’s what the wisdom of Kabbalah is meant to do for us.

Ultimately, we’ll come to a meeting point between mankind and the wisdom of Kabbalah. People will suffer enough to realize that the only way out of our troubles is a new level of human connection, and the Kabbalists, on the other hand, will have to bring their method closer to humanity.

The situation on the roads is just another indication for our lack of mutual consideration. In order to see the other cars around me, I need to feel the people inside those cars as close to me. We need to acquire a sense of how we’re moving together internally, and then we won’t have any accidents externally.

A driver’s ed course, for instance, should be about training us to feel each other and not certifying people before they do. Otherwise, our cars are like dangerous weapons in our hands. And don’t expect autonomous cars to fix our problems. Nature will push us and mold us until we begin to feel one another.

If we don’t train people to feel each other, we’re going to see all kinds of accidents happening everywhere, from the air to the sea. People won’t be able to prevent themselves from causing great harm to each other, as long as our ego grows beyond our sense of others.

So I would recommend a new standard for getting any kind of license — training people to become sensitive to each other. Rather than just technology, Israel should be the first to set these new standards of social connection as a positive example for the rest of the world. Social innovation is the future, and what the world truly anticipates from Israel.

What Can Be Done About Seasonal Depression?

Dr. Michael LaitmanFrom My Facebook Page Michael Laitman 12/11/19

Winter depression sets in right around the time that the holiday blues begin as well. It’s time for us to understand what is going on with our souls. This is the key to fixing all the problems in our life.

How Balanced Relations Between Genders Solves Depression: Women’s Depression And The Meaning Of Life (KabNet)

KabNet published my new article: “How Balanced Relations between Genders Solves Depression: Women’s Depression and the Meaning of Life

Depression is a global epidemic. Currently, over 300 million people around the world suffer from depression, and women are diagnosed nearly twice as much as men.

Why is there such a striking gender gap in the numbers of depressed people in the world?

Dissatisfaction in women compared to men has a deep spiritual root. It is embedded in the feminine nature.

Is There Anything That Could Completely Fulfill a Woman?

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, there is.

Spiritual attainment.

Spirituality is attained when the woman—the female force—uses her deep desire to propel the man—the male force —to reach a higher purpose in life. The complementarity of the opposite male and female forces enables their mutual attainment of harmony and fulfillment.

The female ability to elevate the world to a higher state stands at humanity’s foundation. Just as the old adage says, “The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.” Nature is designed such that the female ability determines how to correctly adjust and direct the world, i.e., how to find the appropriate cooperation between male and female forces so that both function together supportively and harmoniously.

Women’s sense of longing is evidently far greater than men’s. A man can be more easily satisfied by earthly fulfillments, for instance, by engaging in some activity together with his friends.

A woman desires more depth. She wants warmth and love. She longs for more sympathy and support. Her way of fulfilling herself is a lot more complicated than how men fulfill themselves.

Everything begins and ends with a woman. She feels herself as the center of reality, the queen of the world. Her sense of uniqueness is a natural feeling that she rightfully embodies.

“When we attract this force, it performs what is called a “correction” upon our self-centered, egoistic desires, which naturally oppose the tendency to unite, the needed “click” for us all to merge as one and experience a higher level of reality.”

Why It Is Nearly Impossible for Women to Truly Bond

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, it is nearly impossible for women to truly bond. Their yearning for a greater sense of wholeness can only emerge when opposite forces support one another in a delicate balance.

Therefore, male and female forces need very precise fine-tuning so that an intermediary force emerges between them: the force of love, bestowal, and connection. The study of Kabbalah deals primarily with how to attract this force in order to unite people, and discover an eternal and whole reality in such connection. When we attract this force, it performs what is called a “correction” upon our self-centered, egoistic desires, which naturally oppose the tendency to unite, the needed “click” for us all to merge as one and experience a higher level of reality.

It is written that “man and woman, the Divine presence is between them.” The correct combination and functionality of male and female forces is that:

1. the female force balances the male force by activating the male force toward connection, and

2. the male force balances the female force by providing it with strength, understanding and support for the female to rise above its nature.

This is the mutual complementarity that allows male and female forces to function harmoniously.

What Force Is the First to Activate the Other: The Male or the Female?

It is the female. The need and request for unification always emerges from the female. The desire for a connection in the depth of the desire, the soul, is at the basis of every woman’s dissatisfaction and depression.

Even though men think they make progress and breakthroughs due to their own abilities, in fact, all of the male’s activities are for the female, i.e., in order to become significant in their eyes. It is the way we are naturally built.

Thanks to the differences between genders, over which they need to connect into a single whole, perfection becomes possible. There is nothing in each of them alone that the other doesn’t complement, since in spirituality, their wholeness can only exist in mutual complementarity according to the principle, “love will cover all transgressions.”

In other words, instead of fighting our differences and focusing on the differences between men and women, we need to find our common ground of support and understanding where we can together discover a much greater fulfillment and purpose in life—the revelation of how nature functions in more unified levels—and start resembling our relationships to nature’s own form of complete unification.

The sensation of attaining perfect unity will cure depression, as we will work directly with the key that unlocks our negative sensations, opening them to a fulfillment of a completely new kind: balance with nature’s unified form.

New Life 1156 – The Doctor-Patient Relationship
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

A doctor is like a representative of the upper force and must feel this way while treating the patient. The patient should trust the doctor because the success of the treatment also depends on this. Doctors had a special tendency to heal in the past but, today, profit drives everything. In the future, technology will improve medicine and robots will cure humans. Every illness is a state of imbalance. Kabbalists also deal with balance in one’s inner world and reach physical balance in the process.

New Life 1155 – A Healthy Lifestyle

New Life 1155 – A Healthy Lifestyle
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, one should exist in the middle line because balance leads to health. We understand what we are living for and attain the middle line by clarifying our thoughts, desires, and intentions. It is possible to calibrate ourselves in the middle line between people, society, and nature, avoiding troubles and problems. A healthy lifestyle requires that we reach the center of the general system of nature and remain there.
