Question: Why do created beings remain distinct even after they have been corrected?

Answer: Every person perceives themselves, even after merging with everyone else, because each individual has a unique point of their own  that was created as “something from nothing” (Yesh Mi-Ain). Each of us exists within the Creator, within the very thought of creation, and each must attain the purpose of that thought of creation: “to delight His creations.”

The thought of creation exists within the Creator. It is His thought, not mine. I must become included in this thought once again, and each person becomes included in it in their own way. Of course, all of us are united as one. We are all one Kli (vessel), yet each person’s identity, uniqueness, and individuality stay in place.
