Answer: If we do not have the light of Hassadim, then we feel the darkness and do everything to attract the upper light to ourselves.

And how it comes to us depends on the state of the Kli. It is quite possible that the Kelim need the light of Hochma. Hochma cannot shine without the light of Hassadim.
