Question: Should I recognize the evil inclination myself and begin a war with it, or should I hold the line and simply resist the disturbances coming at me?

Answer: No, a war has a goal, and you must be directed toward it. Without this, there will be no progress. We need to unite among us and see how we ourselves combine our thoughts, actions, and goals into one common force.

It is precisely this common force that overcomes our harmful desires and impulses toward the Creator.

That is why we must be clearly directed toward connection between us and against the Creator. Against the Creator means against the various disturbances that He sends us.
