How Can We Make Unity in the Ten Our Life

938.03Question: How can we make unity in the ten our entire life and a great delight that we bestow to the Creator?

Answer: It depends on our attitude toward what affects us, bestowal or reception, and on how much we choose between them and want to be closer to the sages or to the Creator through the differences that exist between holiness and the Klipa (impure force).

Don’t Choke on Your Own Truth

627.1Question: Is there a kind of truth that should be told to a person?

Answer: The only truth is to give a person freewill and let them choose their own truth. That is all. This is the most important thing in raising children and in relationships between adults.

Question: How do you do that? By example? Based on what?

Answer: Teach a person the method of correctly revealing life.

Comment: That sounds good! This is the main thing.

My Response: Yes.

Question: And what if a person is one hundred percent convinced that they are right and must pass it on to someone?

Answer: Then they should shut themselves up and swallow it! So as not to choke on their own truth!

Question: Even if I feel that by doing so, I will help them?

Answer: What huge egoism he has! It is bursting out of him! He has no right even to feel it himself. The only thing he can do is just understand how much of an egoist he is if he feels obliged to fill another person with his own opinion.

It is terrible! There is a very simple saying about this: “Silence is the fence around wisdom.”

Question: That is beautiful! That is, is it better to remain silent at that moment?

Answer: Yes.

Agreeing With the Creator

249.01At that time, a person should pay attention to this and believe that the Creator is tending to him and guides him on the track that leads to the King’s palace (RABASH, Article No. 6, “When One Should Use Pride in the Work“).

A person must constantly check in all one’s sensations and thoughts and in one’s heart and mind, if one agrees with the fact that the Creator is guiding him or her toward Himself?

“Do I agree with what the Creator is doing with me? He throws me down, lifts me up, tosses me in every direction. One moment I cry, the next I laugh; sometimes I rejoice, sometimes I’m distressed. Do I understand that I must go through these states, but that the most important thing is to remain in connection, in adhesion with the Creator—that there is none else besides Him?”

It follows that he should be happy that the Creator is watching over him and gives him the descents, as well. That is, a person should believe, as much as he can understand, that the Creator is giving him the ascents…

Also, a person should believe that the Creator gives him the descents, as well, because He wants to bring him closer. Therefore, every single thing that he can do, he must do as though he is in a state of ascent.

In principle, there are no descents. What occurs is merely the revelation of the next uncorrected degree, followed by its correction. These degrees are revealed to us—they were formed even before us as a result of the shattering of Adam HaRishon. And we continuously correct them through our attitude.

Nothing is required from us! We do not need to do anything except to agree with the Creator, to justify Him.

The Hebrew word “to justify” is “LeHatzdik,” and a person who justifies the Creator is called a Tzadik, a righteous one, because he justifies Him. That is our entire work. But for this, we absolutely need an environment; without it, we will not be able to justify even a single act of the Creator, neither emotionally nor mentally.

Therefore, when he overcomes a little during the descent, it is called an “awakening from below.” Each act that he does, he believes that it is the Creator’s will, and by this itself he is rewarded with greater nearing, meaning that the person himself begins to feel that the Creator has brought him closer.

We Have Gathered Here To Become Human

530We have gathered here to establish a society for all who wish to follow the path and method of Baal HaSulam, the way by which to climb the degrees of man and not remain as a beast (Rabash, Article No. 1, Part 1, 1984, Purpose of Society – 1).

From this article, we need to extract the key principles:

    1. What does it mean to gather?
    2. What is the method of Baal HaSulam?
    3. What is the degree of human?
    4. Was man created for pleasure or for awe before the Creator?
    5. The condition for achieving all of this is similarity of qualities with the Creator.
    6. The desire to receive is not bad in itself; it is the very material of creation. What is called the evil inclination (Yetzer Ra) is our unwillingness to unite, our refusal to correct the shattering of the soul into its parts—our individual souls.
    7. We do not destroy the egoistic desire, but only correct its intention from for myself to for others.
    8. That is, in the desire to receive, we are always opposite to the Creator; but in the intention to give, we connect to Him.
    9. Adhesion with the Creator is through similarity of qualities with Him. The intention to bestow is attained through work in the group. This is a task that is both achievable and verifiable. The collective desire to bestow that we build is the common soul, which the Creator fills.
    10. Every state we go through consists of two opposites, and as we advance the gap between them grows. I reveal:
      1. My increasing worthlessness
      2. The increasing greatness of the goal.

I must connect these into one point to feel the shattering between souls so deeply that it compels the upper light to correct me. Then bestowal will reign between me and others.

This is called the giving of the Torah—the light of correction.

And afterward, the giver of the Torah is also revealed within our corrected attitude toward others, within the collective spiritual vessel (Kli).
