The Pleasures of The Kabbalist

600.01Question: Do those people who have gone through some spiritual stage, no longer see the point of returning to some former pleasures?

Answer: No, this is not correct. All kinds of disturbances arise in them in the form of yearnings for various pleasures. Of course, the greatest pleasure is sexual, which remains for a long time during the path, and it practically does not die.

A Kabbalist does not begin to neglect any of the pleasures of this world. On the contrary, he feels very good taste in food, in rest, in everything. He appreciates it.

He just becomes a kind of gourmet. If you really want to enjoy something, you need to feel that you are actually enjoying it, that it is correctly connected with your goal, tied in such a way that through this world you receive some additional divine phenomenon. Then you feel pleasure also through the objects of this world.
