Unchanging Hierarchy

laitman_243_03Torah, Deuteronomy 23:1: A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor shall he uncover the corner of his father’s [cloak].

The “father’s wife” is a huge desire, for which a son can’t build a Masach (screen), because he has to be on the level of his father for that. However, he cannot rise to this level; he always will be lower. This hierarchy never changes.

Everything we receive from above, either from the wife of our father, meaning not from our own mother or father, must come to us through the filter that reduces the influence of the upper Light on us.

The ascent of the younger soul to the upper soul should happen only by permission, by the correct intention, and by the forces it receives from above. Therefore, there cannot be independent actions here, not with regard to the father, the mother, or the stepmother. After all, a person simply destroys himself, burns, if he receives more Light than he is capable of receiving.

“He shall not uncover the corner of his father’s cloak” in order to receive from him Direct Light. He can only receive the Light that the father (the Creator) directs to him.

A person should move consistently because he can’t jump over spiritual degrees. The Torah speaks only about the relationship between degrees. And although they change, the upper Light still remains the upper one.
