To Be Born On Time

Dr. Michael LaitmanA question I received: In our world, an embryo has to grow day by day at the right speed in order to be born on time. If it comes out earlier or later than it is supposed to, it’s harmful for it. How can we know that our point in the heart is growing at the correct speed and will arrive at its spiritual birth on time?

My Answer: The right speed means to constantly aim at one goal. The goal is to grow and mature in order to be born in spirituality and to continue evolving until you become completely equivalent to the Creator like Aba ve Ima, Hochma and Bina.

You are evolving at the correct speed if you keep at this singular objective, align all your intentions and desires solely with it, and use them as the means to draw closer to it. However, if you withdraw from the goal, you bring your evolution to a standstill. In spirituality, time is the quantity of actions you have taken; it is not a mechanical meter.

Kabbalists On The Purpose Of Creation, Part 15

Dr. Michael LaitmanDear Friends, please ask questions about these passages from the great Kabbalists. I promise to answer them. Commentaries in brackets are mine.

Why Is The Creator Concealed From Man?

The reason for the concealment of the face [the concealment of the Creator] from the people has been explained: It is deliberate, to give people room for labor, to engage in His work in Torah and Mitzvot [to correct themselves to bestow in order to become similar to Him] out of free choice [by acknowledging that His state is perfect and that He is just]. Because the Creator receives more contentment from their work in His Torah and Mitzvot than from His angels above [the forces of nature], who have no choice and whose work is coerced.

Answers To Your Questions, Part 13

Dr. Michael LaitmanWhy Did the Creator Place the Burden of Creation Upon Us?

Questions about the post  Kabbalists On The Purpose of Creation, Part 12

A question I received: Quote: “Their completion [attained by themselves] would be their [merited] reward, resulting from their efforts to attain Him. And all that [evil created by the Creator and the opportunity to turn it into good] only serving His desire to do complete goodness [to the creatures].” Suppose we try to visualize the relationship between us (created beings) and the Creator. What does it most resemble: the relationship between a son and a father, parents and children, a husband and a wife, friends, or is it a completely different relationship? Is it even worth imagining at all?

My Answer: We can’t help imagining our relationship with the Creator because we are studying the wisdom of Kabbalah that reveals the Creator to us. But until we start perceiving Him directly, like everything in this world, we should visualize him as a kind but strict Father.

Shamati #108 If You Leave Me One Day, I Will Leave You Two
One’s activities in the corporeal world have nothing to do with correction. Kabbalah only talks about desires that are aimed at the Light, not at the corporeal world.
