There are four stages or phases in the level of connection between us when we build the vessel of our common soul (Kli) to be corrected by the Light. It is only when we reach the last phase that we attain the full depth of the entire creation from beginning to end and from end to beginning. All of this is attained in the depth of connection between the souls.

The opportunity to attain the full depth of creation was revealed as a consequence of the breaking of the common soul. Previously, before the breaking, we were connected; however, there was no attainment or understanding in this connection; there was no perception of the essence of creation. Only after the breaking was the abyss, the gap between the parts of reality or the souls, revealed. Along with the revelation of the abyss, the opportunity to attain understanding of the connection and correction of it was presented.

Instead of having the natural connection that the Light enabled to exist before the breaking, with the breaking and then the revelation of the contradictions and hatred between us, we now have the basis for realizing our connection upon these revelations, and the correction of the revealed hatred above it.

By connecting all the souls, we reveal the five stages of Aviut (coarseness of the desire) in the connection between us. We correct it and then this Aviut turns into Zakut (purity of desire).

Through this process, as we reveal the hatred between us and the connection above it, we will reach the attainment. Then, we can feel the full depth of the darkness of the abyss that exists between us in the fourth stage of the desire (Aviut), as well as, the connection, love, and the Light that we evoke from Above, which is the purity of our desires (Zakut).

This abyss between the darkness and the Light that becomes revealed in the connection between us is called the attainment of the spiritual world, the Creator, or the thought of creation. There we will attain our self-fulfillment.

Unity amongst us builds our new reality. I’m not speaking about creating this unity ourselves and “behaving” as if we are united. This unity isn’t on the level of this world as in when everyone is on good terms with one another. Unity is the revelation of the spiritual connection between us in the vessel for the Light. We only need to want the Upper Force to realize this unity for us.

The wisdom of Kabbalah wasn’t revealed to build communism and kibbutzim in our world. Kabbalah helps us reveal the spiritual relations between us, not material relations. The goal is completely different in its essence.

Don’t try to build good corporeal relationships, but strive to reveal the Creator between you. In this way, your spiritual connection will be realized. We need to attract the Light of Correction to do this work, to build spiritual connections between us. It is precisely in these connections that we will feel the Creator. This will be the optimal solution for all the problems.

This isn’t what idealists dreamed of in trying to build the “City of the Sun” on this planet. We’re not building a good life in this world. We have a much greater goal before us; although of course, our corporeal life will also become corrected at the end. Once we attain inner harmony, we will also experience perfection in our corporeal world. However, this only will happen under the condition that we attract the Upper Light which will correct our connection with one another. Our trying to do this with our own strength won’t make it happen.

A Question I Received: If the gap and the hatred between us remain, then what do we correct?

My Answer: Correction is above the gap and the hatred. We don’t understand this since we exist in one world. We see either black or white, as we cannot see both black and white at the same time. When we begin to enter another reality, and two worlds emerge before us, then suddenly we are able to see that there is no contradiction between good and evil, darkness and light. We see that these two lines unite in a third line, which is neither black nor white, contrary to the way it is perceived in this world.

We are approaching the end of our egoistic development, and as the global nature of the world is revealed through quantum physics, the contradictory forms of the world are revealed, yet our mind is incapable of putting them together to form one picture of the world. Our minds do not agree with the fact that the opposites are connected, that one object can exist in two forms, two places, and so on. In other words, new, spiritual concepts or time, movement, space, and the existence of reality, emerge in us, but still our minds cannot assimilate this; our minds don’t have the capacity to do so in this world.

Therefore, we are unable to comprehend how there can be revelation of evil, and how we build goodness above it without destroying it. We may object that we can imagine this somehow for ourselves, but this is not the true picture since we still lack the senses for perceiving these two worlds – love and hatred, separation and unification, together at the same time. We are unable to imagine this properly. We can only be in one of two opposite qualities.

In order to attain this ability to see both at the same time, we need revelation in the sensations (Kli), and only through this will we understand what Kabbalists are talking about. This is why the science of Kabbalah is called “the hidden wisdom.” After all, it is hidden from me as I am unable to sense what they are saying until I am ready to feel it, before the Light comes and forms the spiritual sense in me.

Then, as the sensation develops and new qualities are revealed in the desire, I will also begin to understand. When I reach the fourth, the last stage of development of each quality, I will already have a sensation and an understanding of spiritual phenomena. But it cannot happen prior to this.

A question I received: How do I learn my place in the general system of souls?

My Answer: For that you would need to return to the root of your soul. It is only when a person completes his individual correction and ascends to his root that he learns his place in the general system. And even that is relative, since the entire system has not yet reached complete correction.

It is pointless to ask about such exalted states now. It’s equivalent to a little child asking who he will be when he’s fifty years old. Even thinking within the boundaries of this world we are unable to comprehend such things.

In the spiritual world, the gap between degrees is so enormous that all qualities become inversed, so that a person cannot even discern his next degree. It comes to him when he cancels himself and accepts a state that he initially cannot agree with. Such is the nature of spiritual degrees.

Therefore, presently it is pointless to ask about the root of your soul, about the conclusion of your work. Instead you should correctly carry out what needs to be done here and now. And then we will advance. Gradually we will gather experience and stop asking such questions because we will understand that every new degree is a whole new world. While all our questions pertain only to our current level.

We are incapable of understanding the spiritual world. Even its first and tiniest degree, which exists right above us, is concealed from us, and we are utterly unable to detect it. It is right there before us, but we must first correct our qualities, step by step, by bringing all of our 613 desires in congruence with this degree.

Then we will make contact with the Upper Light, which will be called our next degree. And then we will attune our 613 qualities to a more advanced state, and together with the Upper Light we will reveal an even greater degree. This is how we ascend.

We don’t have to wait for the whole world to awaken to the spiritual correction. Rather, the people who have already awakened must create a pact or correct union among themselves and advance in this manner. Then more and more people will gradually begin to join this union.

Our concern should be how to attain unity among those who are able to accomplish it and how to connect all the organs of the common organism together. They will breathe new life into the organism and will deliver the Upper Light to us, which will begin flowing through the whole organism. Then, thanks to the work of this spiritual center, the Light will spread through it to the entire common system, and all the other souls will awaken as well.

Kabbalists who lived before the author of The Book of Zohar Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi) performed corrections in the common system of souls on a higher level. Rashbi’s system is connected to us directly, and for this reason we treat The Book of Zohar as our primary source. By carrying out corrections in the system of broken souls, Kabbalists created special connections in it, preparations for a general correction. They revive this system, bringing Light to it through the channels of connection that they have established within.

Therefore, we can now rise and correct ourselves within this system. By correcting itself, a soul not only changes itself; it also brings about its corrections into all the other souls. Yet, there are certain souls, like the soul of Rashbi, which play a principal role in correction: They complete a specific stage and prepare the foundation for all the corrections that follow.

It seems to us that a corrected soul is some isolated part of the system. However, this is incorrect. The whole system of souls is integral, like a holographic picture, each part contains the whole picture. On the other hand, every part is present in the whole picture as well as in each of its parts. I am part of the system of souls, the whole system is within me, and I am also included in each part of the system.

The soul is not a unit of the whole – it is “dispersed” into the whole system of creation. It penetrates the entire Malchut of the World of Infinity, with its qualities. This holds true for every one of us. When each person supplements everyone else, we get one large sphere of souls, where the system of Rashbi acts in providing correction for it. It is through this system that we receive the Light that corrects and fulfills us.

Everything we have done until today was just a game where spiritual forces influenced us from Above, leading us through all the historical phases that we have gone through. These forces caused the development of nations, souls, and civilizations, and they governed us without asking whether we wanted it or not.

However, now we have completed our preparation for correction, and from today on, we must start to carry out the correction. This is why for the first time in history, the science of Kabbalah is becoming revealed to the whole world. It is the method of correction, of revealing the Creator, the Light, the force of correction. It is now becoming revealed because this is the first time that we must lead ourselves to correction.

From now on there are two paths laying before us: the natural path (Beito) and the path where we accelerate our development (Ahishena). If we participate in our own correction, then we will take the good path, but if we don’t desire to carry out the part incumbent upon us, then we will lag behind and will perceive our laziness as suffering.

Then, instead of feeling the Upper Forces as good and helpful to us in our correction, we will feel our own uncorrected desires in the form of various problems. These can range from minor troubles with our families and health to world wars and self-extermination. This is what all the Kabbalists have warned us about, as well as the prophets before them. All the prophets spoke about the age of the Messiah, which has now arrived.

The process of the world’s correction is a lengthy path consisting of various stages, where every soul fulfills its own part. We have gone through the breaking of the common soul of Adam HaRishon, then the Babylonian Exile, a spiritual birth, and the subsequent fall from the spiritual level during the destruction of the First Temple. This was followed by a resurrection on a new spiritual level, and then another fall during the times of the Second Temple.

Now we are nearing a state where all the desires intended for correction are completely ready for it. After all the ascents, descents, breakings, and revolutions that we have experienced throughout our entire history, all of our desires have become intermixed. As a result, every person contains both bestowing and receiving desires in the right combination. The desires are now fit for correction, and this is what we now have to carry out.

Therefore, the objective now facing us is correction. This is the first time when we are not operating as matter without a will, which undergoes something without participating in it. Rather, now we must take part in our own correction with full awareness, with our own efforts, and according to our own request. We have to realize the correction by virtue of our own forces, to the extent we are allowed to do so by the Upper Governance.

This is why for the first time in history we are starting to study, “Who are we? And how does each of us have to change, as well as all of us together?” The science of Kabbalah teaches us how to live correctly in the reality where we exist.

A question I received: How can our participating in a Kabbalah convention affect the correction of the world?

My Answer: It will inevitably affect the correction of the world, since it will be an act of unity. Any act of unification among us is an additional step toward contact with the Creator. Every such action attracts the Surrounding Light that draws us closer to Him. And through us, the Light will spread over the entire world.

The more we think about our mission and responsibilities in relation to the world, the more effectively it will work. It is because it will bring contentment to the Creator and contribute to the good future of creation. The stronger the point of unity between us, the closer we draw to the Creator.

As long as we exist in the perception of this world alone, we cannot understand that it is imaginary. Right now matter is the only reality we know, and we don’t feel anything else. Yet, our objective is to start to clearly perceive the world on two levels: the material and the spiritual. Then we will understand that one of them is imaginary. This doesn’t mean it does not exist; “imaginary” means it is a reflection of the true form, whereas the second, spiritual form is the real thing.

There is something that’s authentic, and then there is a reflection of it, like in a mirror. You can’t say that the reflection doesn’t exist. Moreover, it is precisely the reflection that enables us to come to the perception of the true, spiritual form.

One never perceives the spiritual form separately, by itself. On the path of correction, a person continually develops a greater spiritual perception of the forms of the Creator, but he reveals them within the imaginary form of this world. Therefore, we cannot detach from it until we ascend all 125 degrees of the spiritual ladder.

Along the entire path of correction, on all the phases of attainment, one’s spiritual perception constantly grows stronger while being based on these two forms: the imaginary and the real. The imaginary form is only called imaginary. But do we really imagine our world? After all, we live in it – this is our current reality.

The true reality is the realm from which forces, decisions, and facts come to us, while only their reflection exists in this world in order to help us attain the true reality. When we begin to attain it, we call this world “imaginary.” Yet, it isn’t some non-existent fantasy, but is necessary for us to discern spirituality.
