Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 2/5/17

Laitman_917.01Question: Did the Ari know about The Zohar?

Answer: Certainly! Beginning from the 13th century (the time of Rabbi Moshe de Leon) all of the Kabbalists studied The Book of Zohar. Thanks to this, the wisdom of Kabbalah coexisted with the usual religion all these years.

Question: It is written in The Book of Zohar that a person is a small world and the world is a big person. What does this mean?

Answer: It means that we were created in the image and likeness of the world and the world in our image and likeness.

Question: Does the higher illumination have a color?

Answer: It has all the colors of the rainbow.

Question: Is The Zohar suitable for a reader of any denomination, and will it work in any case if you read it carefully?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah does not belong to religions or faiths, only to a person. It was discovered by humanity thousands of years before the appearance of all religions and faiths. It is the science about the management of our world by a higher power and it has nothing to do with any religious actions, departures, and everything else humanity created for itself. It is absolutely egalitarian, equal for all.

Question: Why have particular people been given the opportunity to discover the wisdom of Kabbalah and others have not?

Answer: It depends on a person’s desire. Ultimately, everyone will strive to reveal the wisdom of Kabbalah and attain the meaning of life. But at the moment, ask any person on the street if he has a need for this and he will answer that he doesn’t.

Question: Is it necessary to sit in a cave to open the Torah?

Answer: For the authors of The Book of Zohar there was no other way; they were forced to hide. They were given such circumstances from above, which drove them into a cave and helped them write The Book of Zohar.

How To Envision The Connection Between Us

laitman_264.01Question: How can we envision the connection between us?

Answer: Those who have not reached spirituality and just want to enter it can imagine this connection in different forms. The connections between us already exist, we just do not see them. They will be revealed to us to the extent that we acquire the intention to bestow.

Have you ever seen how laser beams are revealed by using a special spray in the room? After using a special spray, these beams become visible. But without the spray, they were invisible because they had nothing to reveal them.

This is exactly what we need to do because the connections between us already exist. We just need to make efforts for our relationships to become as loving as possible. And then these invisible threads will start to glow and we will feel that they really exist. In this way, we will be able to uncover the network that connects us, which is already available.

We will gradually reveal its increasing and greater complexity and will find that we are all interconnected by a multitude of threads. These links will become more spiritual, that is, aimed at bestowal.

This will happen at every step, as it is said, “the waste of the higher is food for the lower.” That is, we need to constantly improve ourselves in order to make our relationships with each other more qualitative and altruistic.
Ultimately, the whole world will join this network of connections because we are all one spiritual vessel.

From The Tree Of Knowledge To Our Days

Laitman_931.02Question: What are the connections between us that the Creator is revealed in?

Answer: We are updating the connection that existed between us before the shattering; we are trying to strengthen it. This work, although it seems complicated to us, is actually quite simple.

There was a four-letter structure of HaVaYaH with all kinds of secondary private HaVaYaH. It was built from the first nine Sefirot. They had the Light, a screen, 288 parts, Lights (RAPACH). These first nine Sefirot were joined by Malchut to carry out the complete correction (Gmar Tikkun).

That is, 32 more pieces were added to RAPACH to make 620—a perfect structure. But it was impossible to do this because an additional desire to enjoy was revealed, which was not known beforehand, as in shattering of the vessels in the world of Nekudim.

This is how shattering happened—the sin of the Tree of Knowledge. These 32 parts, Malchut that cannot be corrected by the intention for bestowal mixed with all the nine Sefirot, including all their private sub-Sefirot, and because of Malchut, the entire structure shattered, which means it acquired the desire to receive for the sake of reception.

That is, the intention shattered and not the connection. The network of connections remained. But the type of connections within this network has become for the sake of reception, and therefore, it is called shattering. A good aspiration from one to another shattered and instead of it, an evil aspiration was revealed.

Now we need to fix this. But we do not have to search between whom and with whom to establish connections. The Creator brought a person to the group, to a teacher, to a good fate and said: “Choose this!” We just have to change the intention: what do I connect with others for, what do I want from this connection? That is, we do not correct the connections between us but only the type of these connections. And this is what the entire correction is about.

A connection between all people exists. It is only necessary to correct the quality of the connections: from the intention “for one’s own sake” to “for the sake of bestowal.” According to this, we will discover ever greater opportunities and new connections, but they will open up on the path of correction.

Therefore, all that we need to do is to acquire an altruistic intention instead of an egoistic intention, which will be revealed. We must only make efforts to transform same connections into bestowal. For this purpose, we study The Book of Zohar and the rest of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Who Is The Zohar For?

Laitman_522.03Question: Can there be a random reader of The Book of Zohar, or does it fall into the hands of someone who has ripened for it?

Answer: There is nothing that happens by chance in our world, not even in ordinary life, not to mention that only people who are selected for it reach the wisdom of Kabbalah. Therefore, there can be no accidents here.

But as for communication with the the upper world is concerned, completely different laws operate.

Kabbalah Is The Method Of Revealing The Creator

laitman_563Question: Who called the wisdom we are studying “Kabbalah”? Does this name refer to the time of the writing of The Book of Zohar?

Answer: The word “Kabbalah” first appeared in the book of Abraham. It means “receiving,” because the most important quality of the created matter is reception. Therefore, the wisdom of Kabbalah means a special quality of receiving the revelation of the Creator.

Question: Does it mean that such terms as “the science of Kabbalah” or “the wisdom of Kabbalah” were already known in the time of the First Temple?

Answer: Long before that, about 1,500 years before the construction of the First Temple. And whether before that, I cannot say.

In addition, a lot of books from Adam to Abraham were lost. We just do not need them and so they gradually disappeared. We do not know the books written by Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob except The Book of Creation (Sefer Yetzirah) of Abraham. Rambam mentions that Abraham wrote many books; however, we do not know where they are.

Question: Is Kabbalah a method or a book?

Answer: Kabbalah is the method of the revelation of the Creator. The Torah (from the word “Ohr – Light)” is the knowledge about the upper Light. And the rest: the Mishnah, the Talmud, and other holy writings are an addition to it, commentaries and so on. The Book of Zohar is also a commentary on the Torah.

All of it together is called the Torah, that is, the instruction for revealing the upper Light.

The Book Of Zohar, The Main Book Of The Wisdom Of Kabbalah

Laitman_065A person exists in the world in a certain volume where he is born, develops, and lives. During his lifetime, many questions may emerge in him, such as: What am I living for? What is the meaning of life? Is there a Creator? Could it be that the Creator is nature? Does life just go by and end?

We know that nothing happens in nature without a cause and that everything develops within a process of cause and effect, but we still do not understand what ultimately happens to us, what the reason of our existence is, and what the outcomes of our lives will be. When a person has such questions as these, he arrives at the study of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

The main book of the wisdom of Kabbalah is The Book of Zohar that describes all of the transformations a person undergoes and provides complete answers to all of the above questions. But The Book of Zohar should not be used as an ordinary guide in which a certain chapter engages in the meaning of life and another in the goal of creation. The Book of Zohar is not an encyclopedia. It was written according to a totally different principle. It is not an ordinary, scientific book although what it contains is absolutely scientific. It is based on a science that operates in a different way.

The science we know in our world fills and charges our brains and minds with various data that we can analyze and come to different conclusions about. But The Book of Zohar is studied in a different way. Studying The Book of Zohar has nothing to do with the intellectual level a person is on or may be on. It has nothing to do with filling the mind with different concepts and with questions as to whether a person can act according to these concepts. The Book of Zohar expands the framework of a person’s perception so that he can see much higher, wider, and deeper than in our world. A person receives knowledge of the upper force.

This information is initially perceived as a higher sensation from which a person begins to extract knowledge. It is like when children, on the level of our world, compare different experiences between them: I tried it, I did this, I got this; they accumulate information regarding cause and effect that helps them understand and attain our world. The same thing happens in the process of attaining and understanding the upper world. It is only through our practical work that we comprehend the management of our world and how our world affects the upper world, etc.

The Book of Zohar puts us in a special state. To the degree that the study is done properly, when I read it, and most importantly, how I read it correctly, a person prompts and summons a special Light upon himself, a force that expands the borders of his understanding, attainment, and feeling.

When a person feels, perceives, and attains these borders and compares all of the different data, new dimensions, levels, understandings, evaluations, and values of this totally different world inside himself, then a new science emerges inside him called the wisdom of Kabbalah. It is the science of the control system of our world because our world is based on a person’s sensations of oneself and the world around him.

When a person tries more and more to spur and summon the Light in order to reveal the upper world within himself, he feels it inside himself, attains it, and the connection between the two worlds becomes clear to him, that is, the connection between the world we are living in now and the world that is personally revealed to him. At the same time, he reaches a state whereby the two worlds exist in him with mutual cooperation and he operates between them.

At the same time, by using The Book of Zohar, a person begins to discover a tool for understanding new definitions, names, and feelings. Now he attains the world in two dimensions, beyond the frameworks of time, motion, and space. Most importantly, a person restores the connection with the upper force of management, mutually influence each other, and eventually become partners. The Book of Zohar enables us to achieve all of this.

This is the reason that a person begins to understand that the main thing is to spur and summon the upper force unto himself so that it will teach him more, fill him more, expand his horizons, and create totally different definitions and understandings within him. A person who exists in both our world and the upper world at the same time has to understand the connection between the two.

The Book of Zohar teaches a person how to manage his feelings and what the connection between the feelings associated with the upper world and the feelings associated with our world is.

How Can We Verify The Influence Of The Book Of Zohar?

Laitman_137Question: How can we verify that reading The Book of Zohar restores my spiritual connection with the force of the upper governance?

Answer: You can feel it based on the changes in your qualities and attitudes toward others. During all this, you go through a multitude of confused states. You experience a change in various conceptual notions, attitude toward scrutiny, toward revelation, toward understanding, analysis, and synthesis.

I remember going through it myself and I see it in my students: how people become unfocused, they do not have clear perception, understanding, internalization, and hearing. These states signify changes that occur in a person. Kabbalists are aware of these changes and welcome them.

However, a person gradually starts to control such states, he rejoices in them because they signify changes in his level of awareness.

What Will Happen To The World After Correction?

Laitman_065Question: It is said that The Book of Zohar describes all possible states of the individual and humanity. Is it really so?

Answer: Yes. Within The Book of Zohar all the 125 levels of ascent of an individual from our world to the highest point of the spiritual world are described.

Question: Then what will happen in the material world?

Answer: Nothing will happen. The material world will simply evaporate from our experience, from our awareness, because it never really existed except in our imagination.

Depending on which level you rise to, you begin to experience how much this world becomes more and more ephemeral.

Could The Book Of Zohar Have Been Written By Ten Women?

laitman_260.01Question: Hypothetically, could The Book of Zohar have been written by ten women?

Answer: Hypothetically, yes. However, we are organized in such a way that the aspiration for spiritual unity between people resides with the men, while the force of supporting and uniting the men resides with the women.

This is why our world is initially divided into the opposite qualities: male and female, bestowal and reception. In Kabbalah, this is studied very seriously, for it is a cornerstone of our relationships with each other.

Generally, how do two men unite with each other? One in some way is a man in relation to the other, and the other in some way is a woman toward the first one. Obviously, we are not talking about physiology or psychology, nor anything related to our worldly notions, but only spiritual qualities. Any spiritual discernment that we reveal in us consists of a male and female part.

In our world, until we enter the level of the upper world, men naturally have an advantage here. They are considered crucial and of paramount importance in Kabbalistic societies.

The women form into groups around men and start receiving the spiritual qualities through them because the men make the breakthrough in this, as they do in everything else in this world; they are always the discoverers, builders, and destroyers—and the women follow behind.

However, when the men’s breakthroughs are followed by the women’s “battalions,” the result is the creation of spiritual qualities and the development of new souls. There is an activation of the feminine qualities, which are not simply complementary, but very essential, that come out to the forefront and start working on the spiritual planes.

Question: So the fundamental demand comes from the women?

Answer: Yes, it says many times in the Torah, that you have to listen to your wife, a woman.

The Torah is written in a very interesting way; despite the fact that it seemingly talks about men, there is always a woman somewhere that privately directs them, like a wife in a family.

A man is considered the head of the family, but in reality, whatever part of the world I ever visited and anyone I ever asked: the Indians in South America or anyone else, not to mention in European countries, or the Africans, the woman is always the foundation of life, the foundation of the world. And the same holds true in Kabbalah.

However, the breakthrough happens through the masculine force, which is followed, supported, pushed, influenced, and even directed by the feminine force.

The Book Of Zohar: Tuning For The Perception Of The Creator

Laitman_151Question: How can The Book of Zohar be useful if only its fragments were found?

Answer: The Book of Zohar was indeed written in a very large volume; it possibly contained about a hundred books.
From this ancient book we got, maybe, only a tenth part. However, we do not need more.

When Kabbalists began to explore this book ten centuries ago, starting from the 11th century, they found out that they did not lose anything. After all, The Book of Zohar only sets the person to the correct perception of the Creator, and then he goes by himself according to the principle “One’s soul teaches him.”

Therefore, what is not written in The Book of Zohar, you open and write on your heart, that is, on your corrected desires.

Question: Don’t we need to know the commentary on the words that we do not understand?

Answer: If a person already perceives the upper images of the Creator in himself, then he does not need books.

Remark: But we are talking about those people who are first-time readers of The Book of Zohar. They read and do not know what these words are about.

Answer: It does not at all matter whether they know or not. The main thing is that their aspiration to attainment evokes a special force, called Zohar – radiance. People who study Kabbalah selectively attract the surrounding Light, and it begins to purify them, raise them, and change them, up to the point where they become capable of feeling the upper world, the Creator.

Question: Does The Book of Zohar write about the laws of communication between people?

Answer: Yes, but nowadays they are not revealed to us as the laws of communication. The fact is that first The Book of Zohar affects a person in such a way that it attracts the upper Light that purifies and changes him, correctly connecting him with others. And then, in connection with other friends, he begins to reveal its meaning.
