The current situation in the world is such that we can descend to the greatest depth of suffering and problems until, after many blows, our senses and our rationale will show us that this is a dead-end state.

However, we can immediately begin to understand that this descent is given to us so that we can ascend.  We are being shown that the crisis that is currently tearing us away from our former upbringing, money, honor, and power, is showing us that this world is tumbling down into an abyss.  As a result, we are being called to rise above the crisis, instead of looking for a worry-free life here.

Therefore, we are now sent this suffering as help for us as individuals, and also for the entire world to tear away from the past. Within the resultant empty space, we will come to wish to feel the Creator (BO-RE, come and see), the quality of bestowal. We will wish to feel this quality, to submerge ourselves in it, within this empty space, within the feeling of darkness, and desire the Creator’s  quality to fill us.

A question I received: What should people learn and feel when they first come in touch with the wisdom of Kabbalah?

My Answer: People need to know that the method is revealed here and now to give all of us an opportunity to correct our earthly and spiritual existence and thus come to perfection: filling all voids, revealing the good, rectifying all wrongs and finding the cures to all illnesses.

In other words, the science of Kabbalah explains that here’s a source of abundance and thus it teaches us how to plug directly into that source.

A question I received: What will people feel when the Creator reveals Himself between them?

My Answer: Imagine being a day-old baby.  Your first sensation is that someone is taking care of you. It’s a similar feeling, as there is someone big that treats you with kindness, care, tenderness, and warmth. You are unable to understand Him, but you are completely in His power.  You know that it’s Him and no other that cares for you, and provides you with all the good things.

Gradually, the whole of humanity will begin to feel the caring and governing influence of the Upper force – the only one in the world. They will feel that they reside inside this single Force, desire, program.

We have only one critical point, of which King David wrote in Psalms.  He did not know why we are given it. This is the rift between what exists eternally (“yesh mi yesh“) and existence out of absence (“yesh mi eiyn“). From that vantage point a person can already be outside of himself and observe the Creator’s actions as well as his own. A person will then exist in the sensation of the spiritual and attain, within his heart and not his reason, that he is united with the entire system. He will feel his fellow men not as strangers, but truly as his close friends.

There is only one creation – the desire to fill oneself with the Creator – divided into billions of partial souls. With their corrected souls, Kabbalists of the past developed a system, by which we can receive the correcting Light. In order to receive it, we must:

• Attempt to rise above our egoism through unity with others; and
• Strive to receive the correcting Light through studying their books.

In the midst of seven billion souls there exist special souls, which create a connection among them; these are the souls of Kabbalists.  By existing within the overall system of souls, as if raisins in cereal, they create a connection among themselves, which allows for Light to flow between them.

By desiring to bond ourselves to these higher souls and by reading what they wrote, we aspire to become like them. As a result, their Light also influences us and without the desire for the bonding, the Light cannot be revealed in us. A simple physical law operates here: without the connection, you cannot receive.

But since this system already has such souls that have united with each other, anyone who desires to unite with them and possesses the external means to do so, meaning the books and the connection with a group,  are also utilizing that same Light, which exists between the special souls and which can also shine for others.

This is exactly how adults take care of children. In advance, they develop all the necessary conditions for them to operate in this world. The little one aspires toward the grown-ups and wants to join them, to learn from them; this is how he grows.

No matter how much the bankers and the economists search for a regulator, they will not find it. After all, the only regulator for our state is in the rule “love your neighbor as yourself.” This is the only form of correct participation in the global system.

Otherwise, you will never have the freedom of will or the opportunity for independent action, and you will remain an inanimate little screw within a rigid system, forced to twist and turn as the system sees fit. But none of it will be done by you – you will be twisted and turned by others.

In order to make decisions and act independently, you need faith above reason and pure bestowal. No other method can be used to influence this system. If everyone were to begin to act this way, suddenly we would find that we are all rising above our previous egoistic calculations of trying to guess how each person would act, which is entirely impossible.

After all, by trying to reveal this formula and coming closer and closer to it, you suddenly switch from a numerical system of calculation to an analogous one. In other words, you stop counting 1+1+…, breaking the whole circle into segments. Because the calculation continuously gets harder, and there are more and more segments, in the end all of them merge into a common integral – into one common circle. You are then no longer able to perform a calculation according to your egoistic nature – you are forced to ascend to bestowal. And this is the only action that can be performed.

This is like a common integral, when you need to measure the area, so you break it up into segments, estimate the area of each, and then add them up, which is how the segments form a circle.

A question I received: When people hear that I study Kabbalah, they ask: “what’s in it for you?” I respond that I attain the meaning of life, feel its taste. “What is the meaning of life?” they ask, wishing to hear a brief answer. How should I respond?

My Answer: Because I study Kabbalah, the world becomes transparent for me. Through it, I see the controlling forces, the system that operates our world. Because of this, I perceive our world throughout, from its beginning to its very end.

I attain the meaning of my life and of life in general, and I see myself in it, from the root of my soul in the common bundle of all the souls, to the end goal, which I must attain. All of this occurs in an endless eternal process, the perception of which is thanks to the science of Kabbalah. It reveals Nature and the Creator to me, and I reveal, attain and control the Nature of all the worlds.

Tell people that they can learn how to use life in the best possible manner and obtain the highest benefit from every passing minute! This is the truth!

We are in the world of Infinity even now. We act within this world, but the results of our actions are not revealed to us during the period of concealment. However, we are within the same connection between the souls, the same common Kli of Infinity.

Concealment is only in regards to us. While we are in this world, we are situated in the world of Infinity, but we only feel it through five worlds or layers of concealment. The world of Infinity, which we perceive within, is then called our world.

During the period of preparation for revelation, we work against concealment, which is called our world. We wish to achieve a connection, correction and revelation, but we are incapable. However, when our efforts reach their full extent, they turn into a plea.

A person demands the Light from above to come and correct him, which then reveals a state, where he had previously existed. It is as though someone turns on a light bulb, or lights a small candle in a huge room, and a person already sees the same state, the same world of Infinity. This is the world of Assiya.

Therefore, you act in the same world, with the same power and the same desires, but to the extent that you are able to work with them, more becomes revealed to you. You raise all the desires with yourself and continue working. Nothing that existed before disappears. You merely add a conquering force every time, and this is how you advance.

Revelation is a state, where the previous concealment no longer gets in your way. You are able to work within the same concealment, and this is called revelation. You receive such power that you can orient in the same concealment, despite the fact that it is there. However, you can work with  that heaviness, which means that you have risen above it. You then reveal an even greater heaviness, with which you can also reach a connection.

The higher up the steps you climb, the greater the concealment becomes. The only difference is that after the first step, which is called Machsom, you already know how to rise above this concealment and how to work with it and accept it. After all, it is forbidden to reject concealment, otherwise a short circuit failure between the Light and the desire would occur.

A question I received: What are Godly deeds and goodness?
My Answer: This is the goodness that fills the world that is discovered in my corrected desires. Even at this moment, I am surrounded by the world of Infinity filled with absolute goodness, but I have no ability to feel it.

Godly goodness is what I discover in place of the evil that I sense today. My egoism is constantly growing and by this it shows me that everything is bad. It shows me two opposites: the Light and that same Light in the form of darkness. This is how one feels the Light in this world, since he is opposite to bestowal.

The stronger the Light works on me, the harder and darker life seems to be. This is because I am opposite to it. The Light that is revealed relative to all souls and not only relative to me, shows me that everything that happens to me depends on the whole world.

This is why the world doesn’t understand why all of a sudden it experiences stagnation and inactivity. Subconsciously, a person feels that he depends on everyone. So, how should he act? He must be able to scrutinize when he bestows and when he receives. But the revelation of our global connection blurs the desire to receive and renders us helpless. If I am told that I am to complete some work and receive payment for it, this I understand. But I cannot work without a reward!

The difficulty here is that as the connection between us appears, the Light will increasingly reveal itself. We will feel its influence as increased darkness and crisis. But if we begin to play the game of bestowal with each other, we will be corrected. The science of Kabbalah, even as a game, will unite humanity in mutual bestowal with the source which will correct us. As a result, we will indeed find ourselves in a corrected state.

Kabbalah is the method for revealing the Creator to a person (see Baal HaSulam’s article, “The Essence of the Wisdom of Kabbalah”).

Regardless of the fact that the science of Kabbalah was hidden from humanity over the course of thousands of years, by manifesting itself through sciences and social relations in an opposite, egoistic form, it prepared humanity for perceiving it (Kabbalah) as a necessary method in order for everyone to achieve a perfect existence.

However, under the influence of his natural desires and his natural mind, a person must first realize the erroneous course of his independent development. Precisely by moving through the stages of technological, scientific, religious, and social development, and becoming disappointed with them, a person gains the ability to understand the Upper wisdom and mind (higher than those given to him naturally). Having gone through all the methods and realizing their limitations and inability to correct the world, a person comes to reject them and chooses Kabbalah as the only true method of his development.

The reason for such a path of development is related to how the Creator is concealed from a person in order to give him an opportunity to develop on his own and realize the truth. In the same manner that the Creator is concealed in our surroundings, Kabbalah, the method to reveal Him, is concealed in the sciences of our world.

Similar to the development of sciences that lead to the revelation of the science of Kabbalah hidden within them, human development in our world leads to the revelation of the Creator. A person reveals our world through science, and later, with the help of Kabbalah, he reveals the Creator.

Therefore, just as the Creator’s concealment is the cause of all our misfortunes and suffering, to the same extent the concealment of Kabbalah is the reason for all of our suffering.

The science of Kabbalah is the method of revealing the Upper Light, the Light of Hochma which is revealed in the Light of Hassadim (the quality of bestowal) in the corrected egoistic desires. However, the penetration of a considerably weak emanation of Hochma directly into egoistic desires without first being clothed into the Light of Hassadim, gives rise to the sciences of our world.

Since the Light of Hochma that descends into our world (some revelation of the Creator in the sciences of our world, in egoistic desires), descends from revelation of the Creator in the Upper world (the clothing of the Light of Hochma in the Light of Hassadim), it is clear that all the discoveries of Nature that descend into our world are no more than a lesser revelation of the Creator in the science of Kabbalah in the Upper world.

In other words, a very insignificant portion of the truth descends to the sciences of our world from the science of Kabbalah, which is the Upper root of the corporeal sciences, in the same way that our whole world receives only the “Ner Dakik” (a spark of Light) of the Upper Light.

However, specifically from below upwards, meaning from the sciences of our world, can we come to the science of Kabbalah. This is the reason for the revival of all the sciences and, hence, the preparation of the world for revelation of the Creator.

A question I received: What is the difference between the attainment of mutual guarantee and the reception of the Torah?

My Answer: Mutual Guarantee is a state of oneness. The Torah (Kabbalah) is the means by which one can come to the quality of bestowal; it allows one to reach oneness because it reveals the Creator.

In accordance with the law of equivalence of form, if I reach the desire to “bestow”, the Creator is revealed to me within it. This is because the only quality of the Creator is bestowal and love. While my desire remains uncorrected in similarity with Him, I don’t have anything with which to discover and reveal Him. But without the revelation of the Creator I am not able to correct myself. It’s a catch-22:

• Without having corrected myself, I cannot reveal the Creator

• Without having revealed the Creator, I cannot correct myself!

This is why a method exists which allows one to attract a force which corrects ones desires from reception to bestowal. This method is called Kabbalah and it allows one to attract the Light that reforms while still remaining uncorrected and not having the same qualities as the Light.

This force is called the Surrounding Light. This is the Creator influencing us in a concealed manner. This is why it’s called the Surrounding Light, and not the explicit Direct Light.

From afar, the Surrounding Light can influence something that is removed and opposite to it (egoism) in accordance with a person’s yearning for correction.

The Creator is called  Bore. BO-RE means “come” and “see.”  When I unite with others in our common quality of bestowal, we develop the conditions for the revelation of the Creator. The entire method of correction (Kabbalah) consists of attracting the Surrounding (correcting) Light towards oneself.
