New Life #642 – Youth And Violence On The Internet

New Life #642 – Youth and Violence on the Internet
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Why are children and adolescents readily attracted to negativity in culture? Why? Because it is compatible with their nature. Children of today are quite indifferent to their parents and have a mother and father within the Internet, in online games.

We are the ones that built this kind of world for them, so why complain to them? Incitement on the Internet works more strongly on youth than adults because adolescents are easily influenced. If the child is taught that the purpose of life is to kill Jews and reach heaven, then that’s what he’ll do. We may see children aged six on their bicycle taking out a gun and shooting Jews.

Incitement to violence by the Arabs will also lead to incitement to violence on the part of Jews. The world of tomorrow will be much more violent and can be seen in the changing attitude toward immigrants in Europe.

The wisdom of Kabbalah suggests a solution: The correction of evil in human nature among the Jews will calm the world. We are speaking here of a special system for changing man’s nature. This is not moralizing, but in order to correct the source of evil. Let’s think of the kind of future we are preparing for our children and don’t allow this deterioration to continue.

New Life #644 – Socio-Economic Balance

New Life #644 – Socio-Economic Balance
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mendelbaum ben Moshe

Summary

Business owners don’t sleep at night because of all their worries and there is no point demanding greater economic fairness because man’s nature is egoistic, it is the evil inclination.

We live in a social fantasy since no one in the government cares about the public but primarily about himself. Protests will not lead to any meaningful change since human nature is evil. Replacing the government will not help either. A person wants to gain something from an action he performs so it would also be a good idea to find out what the protest organizers want.

There are no non-egoistic people in the world; we are all egoistic. Man’s nature is to take advantage of others for his own sake. Everyone uses the public for his own interest.

Tycoons all over the world throw the public crumbs from their table. The social struggle may lead to an addition of some butter on the bread crumbs but nothing more than that.

The root of the problem is the evil part in human nature, which has to be balanced by the good force. There is no other solution. The ego destroys all our systems, the climate, the economy, commerce, culture, education, and the family.

Our complaints to the tycoons can also be directed at rich countries that should help poor countries! But it won’t work. Only a thorough treatment will help because man’s nature is totally evil and cannot bear the fact that he doesn’t have more than others.

Only if we bring the good force into our life will it balance the evil in us and then the two forces will balance each other. We don’t know such a treatment. It started with Abraham and continued until the destruction of the Temple. The world needs a cure for evil, and so it angrily turns to Israel because only we have the method to balance evil. A balanced Israel is a society in which one person cares for another more than for himself. This is the law of balance.

New Life #645 – Ideological War

New Life #645 – Ideological War
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Where does Islamic ideology draw its strength; what kind of future does it offer the world, and what future can we offer the world in contrast to it, according to the wisdom of Kabbalah?

It is a deep and wide issue that began in the days of Abraham and his son Ishmael almost 4,000 years ago.

The Arabs see themselves related to ancient peoples who lived here, but historically, the fact is that there is no connection between them. They attach themselves holy people and holy places and tell the world that it is all Islam. They want to spread Islam all over the world and simply aim at bringing all of the people to believe in one God. They promise anyone who accepts Islam in this world Heaven, and this is the reason that they are not afraid to die. They plan to take over the entire world—including China, India, and Russia—and they have the patience to do so.

According to Kabbalistic sources, Islam will rise and almost conquer Christianity, but in the end, they will unite together against Israel. However, we have a stronger ideology, the wisdom of Kabbalah; if we connect to it, we will be saved from any affliction. There is no point arguing with anyone but only to connect to one another in love. Then, we will change everything through the upper force. Kabbalah will give us the inner power, and we will manage all like puppets on a string through the connection between us. Eventually, the ideology of “Love your neighbor as yourself,” which we must promote, will rule the world.

New Life #652 – The Solution To Terrorism In Europe

New Life #652 – The Solution to Terrorism in Europe
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazuz

Summary

What is the to overcome terrorism; how is it possible to achieve a true European Union, and how can each one of us contribute to the process of healing Europe?

Europe has filled itself with Muslim immigrants. It is too late now to stop the decline. Europe is old and tired, and not prepared to stand against the young and stirring Islamic spirit.

Only connection with each other can help them. Then, the power of connection will stop the forces of evil. No power except the power of connection can neutralize the religious wars that will be building in the world.

The European Union was not made from “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18), but from the consideration of monetary interests. We need to begin to learn to connect within each and every nation first of all, and after that, it will expand.

It is worthwhile to do connection exercises: smile, be considerate, feel small and learn from others, and feel big and provide an example. The daily study of connection must be implemented by each and every person in educational institutions, at work, on television, and on the Internet.

Why will the improvement of relationships between people stop terrorism? It is because connection is stronger than separation.

The highest power in nature from which life is derived is the power of connection and life. This is what created everything.

New Life #647 – Human Development To The Next Dimension

New Life #647 – Human Development to the Next Dimension
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Summary

There is a desire within a person for pleasure from everything humanly possible; this desire is divided into 613 different desires. Overall, our lives are an escape from evil and an approach to good in which the definitions of good and evil change every moment.

We get values from the environment that influence us, and we operate according to them throughout our lives. Sometimes existential questions arise in us such as what are we living for at all? It is necessary to remember that our body will live and die, but the spark in us, the inner part, wants to discover the meaning of life.

The wisdom of Kabbalah engages specifically with this. For thousands of years it was concealed, and now it is bursting out onto center stage. The wisdom of Kabbalah makes it possible for a person to ascend to the upper world, to a higher dimension, to build a “soul.”

Psychology, meditation, and so forth serve only as tranquilizers. They don’t lift a person to a new dimension. The wisdom of Kabbalah is the only wisdom that investigates the inner nature of our world, the law of development, and a spiritual person is a person who lives within the mechanism in which all of us are connected together, from within, into a single soul.

New Life #648 – Exiting Myself To A New Life

New Life #648 – Exiting Myself To A New Life
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Summary

We perceive reality through a filter of “is it good for me or bad for me,” but we don’t feel what actually happens. But the human being in us wants more. He wants to know what he is living for, what actually happens in reality. The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us how to do that. We simply need to connect to more people who also want to “come out of the radish.” Together we perform exercises with each caring for the others, and thus we build a network of mutual guarantee and spur the concealed force.

Nature is made of two forces: the positive and the negative forces. This is true on the levels of nature: the still, vegetative, and animate, but when it comes to us, only the negative force operates. When we practice in a circle, we stimulate the positive force toward ourselves, and it balances the negative force in us. The positive force flows among us like a spring, builds a new attribute of bestowal in us, and pulls us out of the radish. This is how a network called “man” is built between us in which there are five spiritual senses.

Once we enter the upper dimension, the negative force among us grows again and separates us, and once again we work against it. A person then gets rid of all of his problems, understands why everything happens, and promotes his advance toward others, toward love. The force of bestowal that we invoke is the plus that balances the minus in us. The human being in you is not inside of you, but in others. When you exit yourself, you discover that the whole world is you.

The upper world means the upper reality, the upper dimension. It is impossible to explain what it is before you feel it. Now we live in the attribute of receiving, and it is the transition to life in the attribute of bestowal. The reality we feel now is false, while the upper reality is real, eternal, the world of truth. The human body dies, but the human being in it, the attribute of love and bestowal that he has developed, is eternal.

New Life 666 – 2015: Good And Bad

New Life 666 – 2015: Good And Bad
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

We live in an era in which we can influence and benefit ourselves and the world, but we don’t know how to do it. We live in a complicated system and only are familiar with a very small part of it. But we can learn how to manage it. This is what makes the Jews special, and this is the reason that the world hates us. The key to the world’s happiness is in our hands.

The bad relationships between us are destroying the world. We have evil thoughts about one another, and this is why our enemies rise to destroy us. Everything will be peaceful and good in Israel and the world when we want to be good to one another here in Israel. The fact that we have evil thoughts about someone is natural, and we must learn how to rise above them.

As it is written, “Love covers all transgressions.” We shouldn’t argue about who is right and who is to blame, but simply rise to connection.

New Life 683 – Between Meat And Milk

New Life 683 – Between Meat And Milk
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Meat and milk symbolize the two forces at work in nature: plus and minus, the power of reception and the power of giving. Kosher fish have fins and scales, they represent the characteristic of a person who doesn’t receive pleasure for himself directly, but operates according to bestowal. Meat symbolizes the egoistic desire, fish symbolizes a smaller desire, and the milk even smaller, while a pig symbolizes the greatest egoistic desire.

A person who feels the upper system clarifies the internal desires while eating, and the upper system begins to live in him, for inside, within us, there is a power that enlivens us called the “Creator.” If we relate to everything that is around us with love, we feel the power within us called God.

Slaughtering means that internally a person must kill the wild animal in him by using it correctly, which means that its power must be increased to the level of Adam (Man). Our interior, like nature, is divided into levels: still, vegetative, animate, and speaking. Kabbalists discovered the upper roots and wrote the laws of Kashrut, according to branch and root, in which the internal butcher is the Light that Reforms, and it is up to the person to summon this Light to butcher the beast in him.

Above the system of forces, there is one inclusive force, and a person asks it to correct him according to the system; there is no power in a person to correct himself; it is all ego, and if he wants to have a soul, it is up to him to accept this corrective force. We are talking about the administrative and supervision system in nature that operates and runs us.

The system doesn’t care what or how a person eats, but the dietary laws indicate what a person, as a Jew, must correct within himself.

New Life 667 – Control Over The Map Of Life

New Life 667 – Control Over The Map Of Life
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

How does the ego influence the system of connections between us? Why does increasing interdependence cause uncertainty about the future, and how does the wisdom of Kabbalah open us to the system of management of the world?

Unlike animals, we humans have a big ego. We want to control our lives. However, we are very much dependent upon many factors that influence us, for example, changes in the weather etc. In the past, we lived simply. Today, we are constantly chasing after the fulfillment of our desires and those of our children, and we are liable to be anxious. This makes the people of today unhappy, not relaxed, so the use of drugs is increasing in the world, while the national leaders are in great confusion and absolute uncertainty about the future.

All of this is due to the development of our ego. The wisdom of Kabbalah makes it possible for us to open the map of the world for ourselves and discover the system of management of our lives. The development of the ego is causing us to be more connected, so it is up to us to learn how to relate better with each other, to think about how there can be a good and secure future for all of us. Since we depend upon each other, if one suffers, everyone suffers.

New Life 682 – What Is Kashrut?

New Life 682 – What Is Kashrut?
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

The issue of Kashrut is a major issue in Judaism, and the nation was built on it. What is Kashrut and why is it a good thing? The natural system operates on us through 613 forces and we are made of 613 forces that have to be compatible with the forces of nature. Performing a Mitzva (commandment) means a reconciliation between me and the forces that operate on me, and a person who performs a Mitzva is called a “Kosher” person.

The dietary laws of Kashrut are determined by upper roots, not according to the Turkish or British law. Every upper root has a branch in our world, taking a lamb and a pig, for example, there are such animals and there are also such internal attributes in a person. To split the hoof and to ruminate means to differentiate between right and left, between receiving and bestowal and not being filled directly.

The upper world is the upper system of nature and we have to be kosher, which means to be compatible and in harmony with it. When we feel how nature operates on us we call it “God,” and we can have a channel of communication with Him, a dialog. The clash with the forces of nature that operate on us leads to problems in life, while being adapted to them allows us to live in harmony, but since the destruction of the Temple, we have lost the adaptation and the connection with the upper system and are left with only external actions and signs. Other nations also have laws as to what is allowed and what is forbidden to eat, but not according to spiritual roots like in Judaism.

A person who corrects his desires according to the upper system begins to feel it and becomes a kosher person.
