In the future the Internet will link us so we will feel connected and mutually dependent, as if we were sitting together in one living room. The developmental trend is to bring us to an integral link between everyone, as if we were a single family.

The traditional family unit is crumbling, each one is immersed in his screen. We will yet see that the future conceals within it a different form of connection. We are standing before a fundamental change in our lives. The screens will be part of our body and we will see the world through them. People will build new connections between them; they will learn a new language, the language of connection.

We are in the midst of a virtual era in which everyone has a toy—the Internet. In the future it will liberate us from work and we will engage only in our relationships and the connections between us, but until then what will happen if they take away our toy?

Since the end of the 20^th century we have entered the new phase of human development: We are the “screen” generation and have no reason to even leave our home since I connect with the whole world and get whatever I want through this screen.

We are educators who work to build relationships between people and therefore have to call for a public war against negative phenomena, the garbage that is on the Internet—just like the war that was declared on smoking.

Summary

The Eastern methods stem from Abraham who gave presents to the concubines and sent them eastward. Abraham wanted them to have something that would enable them to manage with the ego until the time for them to correct it came.

Those who were ready for correction became his student and he taught them Kabbalah, the way of fulfilling “Love thy friend as thyself.”

Through the connection between us, we return to the state before the shattering of the general soul and become as one. When our internal particles connect again into one system, the force of the Creator is revealed in it. This is the reason that there should be a group of people, a Minyan.

We don’t annul the ego, but rise above it. Nature develops us toward perfect connection and unity, whether we like it or not, whether we understand it or not. This is evolution. The connection is actually built by using the ego in a new manner opposite from the natural manner.

Kabbalistic meditation, if you call it, a person can be kept with the feeling of a full life.

A person feels a new dimension in his corrected connection with others; the Light, the force of bestowal, is revealed in him. There are upper worlds that exist above time, space, and motion, the worlds of Assiya, Yetzira, Beria, Atzilut, Adam Kadmon and Ein Sof (Infinity). A person can constantly have the feeling of a full through Kabbalistic meditation, if you call it that. When you study the wisdom of Kabbalah, you don’t resign from ordinary life, but work on connection with others and discover the upper force.

In connection workshops according to Kabbalah, we discuss questions related to the connection between us and connect in the center of the circle. In a connection workshop we should think about how I can help everyone connect and feel the upper force in this connection.

Meditation helps a person relax and contemplate himself and the world from inner relaxation. Yet according to the Kabbalistic definitions, this activity is not spiritual!

Only in the wisdom of Kabbalah is there the power of the Light that can take a person out of the desire to receive and bring him to the desire to bestow. When a person eliminates his ego, he senses that the entire world is a single system, yet he cannot control this system.

The Kabbalists make “intentions,” concentrating their energy on connection with others, to discover the upper force. In a Kabbalistic group, people work together on transitioning from the “I” to “We” to “One” with the help of the power of the Light; this is something that doesn’t exist in other methods. The levels of ascent are described in detail in the books of Kabbalah.

The wisdom of Kabbalah doesn’t suppress the ego; on the contrary, it makes use of all its intensity. This wisdom is for learning how to receive correctly: in the “Middle Line” integrating the power of reception and the power of bestowal found in nature and expanding them without limit, so we merit receiving in the best way.

Summary

The holy books speak about something higher than our world. In order to attain and understand what they are saying, we must become holy. The wisdom of Kabbalah explains to us that holiness is the characteristic of bestowal and love. These are divine qualities that every person in our world must acquire.

Holy books were written by people who attained divinity, and their goal was to help us also attain what they attained. The Kabbalists explain that those authors wrote these holy books in the “language of the branches,” which is a special coded language through which they could describe the higher forces in our language.

The Bible is not a historical book; it is a living book. It is a book in which high spiritual states are described that every person can and must ascend and attain. All that we must do is to take the words about this world that are written in the book and explore and attain their true meaning, which is that they basically are describing a world that is above our world. Basically, when we read the Bible with its true inner meaning, we discover the operating system that manages our lives and our world.

After all, everything in our world—the still, vegetative, animate, and speaking—are operated by spiritual forces. All we must do is to recognize this operating system in order to attain the properties of bestowal and love.

New Life 501 – The Real Purpose Of The Bible

The Bible is the book of life. It tells us how to ascend above our ordinary attitude to life and how to flow in one current, like a river in which a person connects to the water and flows in it.

We all know the stories of the Bible on one level or another, but few understand its uniqueness. The Bible isn’t a book that teaches us history or geography, and it isn’t a book of laws, either. The Bible is the book of life and it has the power to affect the reader so that by reading it he changes and discovers that it is about himself and that everything in the Bible is inside him.

The Bible is written in a code that must be deciphered, and in order to deeply understand it, we must learn a new language, the language of bestowal. According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, bestowal means to bestow abundance.

Bestowal is a special, internal attribute of giving that is not easy to acquire. A person who acquires it is in a reality of love of others and is called a Kabbalist.

One may be confused and think that we also feel love of others now, but if we look at ourselves without embellishing things, we will discover that alongside the love we have of others, there is always a certain level of self-pleasure, a pleasant feeling, satisfaction, and so on. Our nature doesn’t allow us to love unilaterally without receiving anything in return. When a person ascends above his nature, a new channel of perception, thinking, and of feeling opens up for him, and he begins to live in an embrace with the Bible.

It is only through the attribute of love, through the connection between us, that we can open the Bible correctly. We are called the people of the Book, and we have the responsibility to open the Bible and learn its internality. This is the reason that we must ascend to a state of total bestowal, love of others, love of the world, and then we will understand what it says. This revelation is possible only through connection and love that are attained by studying the wisdom of Kabbalah. Therefore, there is no need for any special intelligence or sublime attributes. The only thing you need is a desire.

New Life 562 – The Root of Racism

The differences in skin color are deeply rooted in nature: black, white, yellow, and red. The problem of racism cannot be resolved because it is deeply rooted in human consciousness.

All we can do is a thorough treatment and to educate to “love thy friend as thyself” with the power of the Light that Reforms, because our ego naturally wants to be above others and to feel that it is unique and exalted.

There are four phases in the evolution of matter, and therefore there are four colors of mankind: white, black, yellow, and red. This division into four parts exists in every detail and is the general formula of the creation, י-ה-ו-ה (Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey). Therefore, it is impossible to relate to everyone equally but only to ascend to our one common root. It is like a mother who has four children, white, black, yellow, and red, all hers and all of whom were generated from her.

A person looks at someone who is different from him and feels a distinction. No ordinary education or legislation can solve that. Modern development occurred first among the white people and then the yellow, red, and finally black. This doesn’t mean that one is better than the other; it is simply the order of development.

So in egoistic human history, white man has always dominated others and was aloof. They tried to correct the negative attitude toward blacks in the US and have invested a lot, but eventually we all see that it explodes in our face. The only solution is to raise man above his body, above his heart and mind, above earthliness and materialism. Then man acquires a new spiritual perception and sees others according to their spiritual attributes.

The only solution is to raise man to our common root, to the level on which there are no differences or distinctions. The wisdom of Kabbalah provides a person with values of bestowal and new attributes that can pull a person out of himself and toward others. “Love thy friend as thyself” is the only thing that totally eliminates racism. There is no other solution!

New Life #639 – Natural Disasters

Summary

Why does nature go wild sometimes? It isn’t that nature goes wild but that we disrupt the balance of the system.

Until the middle of the 20^th century, we more or less kept the balance, but since then we have destroyed our planet. Everything contains poisonous materials that contaminate and destroy everything only in order to make a greater profit.

Nature is totally round and connected and we humans also have to be harmoniously connected to one another. Our planet can feed even tens of billions of people if the relations between us are good. In order to do so, we have to make sure that everyone feels good and agrees to give up everything that is excessive.

Israel is about to undergo more qualitative blows in the form of hatred and pressure from all over, which will bring us closer to connection.

Human thoughts are also part of nature, and good thoughts about others balance the system. We can learn to spur the force that balances nature by studying the principles of “Don’t do unto others what is hateful to you” and “Love thy friend as thyself.”

Farmers in the Negev say that the Negev can become a greenhouse that can feed all of Europe.

What happens on the Internet reflects what happens in human society, but a virtual battle is preferable to a physical battle. The more rapidly we recognize that we are evil animals, the sooner we can advance to the correction of human nature.

The Internet, and not archaic bodies like the UN or UNESCO, will determine the future of humanity. Seemingly civilized people allow themselves to go wild on the Internet and in the future will come up with techniques for eliminating entire peoples through the Internet.

Today, a “School for the Young Martyr” is conducted on the Internet; in the future they will explain how to build an atom bomb on the Internet. Bad things spread more rapidly than good because that is tailored to our ego; we benefit from evil. In the future the Internet will become so vile that we will understand that it is an X-ray of the malice within us.

From this we will reach the correction of human nature, correction of the malice in a person, and we will learn how to communicate well to everyone. People love looking at evil, our open atmosphere is evil, hatred, and violence. The network spares us from a lot of bloodshed and basically it, not the schools, is the educator of people. In the future the Internet will help us change our nature and relate to everyone with connection, sympathy, and love.

New Life 496 – Where Do Dreams Come From?

Question: What are dreams? There are many myths and legends about dreams, this phenomenon has gripped humanity throughout all of history. Even the ancient Romans and Greeks tried to explain dreams. But until now this phenomenon has remained a mystery.

A person spends one-third of his life sleeping, and he dreams all the time even though he doesn’t remember most of them. This is the way our brain processes and sorts all the information that it gets throughout the day.

But there are some dreams that apparently convey a special message that reveals the future. Generally, where do dreams come from?

Answer: Even the Torah talks about dreams: the dream of Jacob, the dreams of Pharaoh and his ministers. A dream is a natural phenomenon, but sometimes we perceive dreams as things that are not serious, like unrealistic daydreams.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is of the opinion that during sleep the brain summarizes all the information that it gets throughout the day, and this is specifically what we perceive as dreams. These data has some kind of fluidity that appears in the brain without even any connection to real substance, they take on special forms so that we see unusual pictures of people, animals, and strange events.

The result of this is that dreaming, unlike reality, has no material foundation. So it is as if everything is happening in the air, without any connection to our actual desires.

Besides this, in a dream we can discover those desires that we would want to realize, but are not ready to do so, fears that torment us from which we cannot free ourselves, all kinds of fantasies, as well as pleasant and unpleasant impressions that we have experienced.

Among them are those that we would like to forget. And it could be that in real life we have been successful at this, but subconsciously they are still living in us. So when we sleep, when we are cut off from the real world and our environment doesn’t affect us, all of these fears and concerns are awakened in us and begin to live in a dream.

Dreams can tell a lot about a person: his inner state, desires, thoughts, all kinds of plans, fears, and disturbances. When he is under hypnosis, it is possible to interrogate him and get a lot of information from him. In this state a person loses control over himself and opens himself to interrogation.
