New Life 777 – The Spiritual Revival Of The Nation Of Israel

New Life 777 – The Spiritual Revival Of The Nation Of Israel
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Through Israel, the abundance should move to all of creation— the still, vegetative, and animate nature and mankind—filling them with the knowledge of the Creator.

The main points of this plan:

  • A Jew is a person who has a greater desire than ordinary people, which is expressed in different ways.
  • Our spiritual revival means connection. We undergo a four phase process of connection and separation.
  • During the last exile, the nation of Israel split up into two major streams: the Orthodox and the non-religious. Today the assimilation in the US and Canada is immense. The Jews who have drawn away from religion are disappearing so the religious Jews are becoming even more Orthodox and more extreme.
  • The wisdom of Kabbalah, the internality of the Torah, speaks about connection. The wisdom of Kabbalah leads to the revelation of the Creator in the connection between people, to the love of Israel, and to the correction of the soul.
  • When we connect to each other and are as one bundle, we will feel how the upper force dwells among us, the force of love. Then we will draw all of humanity after us, which is called being a Light unto the nations of the world.
  • If we want to ensure that our children remain Jewish, we have to teach them the method of connection according to the wisdom of Kabbalah.

New Life 776 – The Secret Of The Eternity Of The Jewish Nation

New Life 776 – The Secret Of The Eternity Of The Jewish Nation
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitza Mazoz

Who is the Jewish nation? Why does it seem that they have received greater blows than any other nation and how is its eternity related to the role it has to fulfill with regard to the world?

The nation of Israel was founded on Abraham’s ideal, on the connection between people in order to discover eternity. When the people of Israel are connected, they serve as a conductor for the Light to all of mankind. It says that we are the eternal nation, that we have to be Light unto the nations of the world and to bring humanity to its goal.

The highlights of the plan:

  • We have to be a nation whose members connect above their individual egoism and attain Godliness.
  • Being a Jew is an ideology, an ascent above nature in the direction of uniqueness and unity. It is in the connection between people who then discover the Creator, Bore, stemming from the Hebrew words “come and see,” and so we are called Jews.
  • Our forefathers were attracted to connection, and this is how the nation was founded. Every time we drew away from each other, we encountered problems.
  • The secret of the eternity of the Jewish nation is its connection to the eternal Upper Light, to the upper force. We are the transition between the upper force and all of the created beings, and this is the reason we feel pressure on both sides.
  • The eternal component in us is the point in the heart, the desire for a connection with Godliness. This desire invokes questions about eternity in a person, about the meaning of life, about the reason for our life and its goal. The point in the heart exists in every person. It is the point of connection with the general force of nature.
  • The abundance we have to convey to the world is expressed by the feeling of love, by the connection between everyone as one unit. This is how mankind can ascend to an upper dimension, to a connection with the Creator, to whole and eternal life.

New Life #380 – Behind The Scenes

New Life #380 – Behind The Scenes
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

How do we create a play that is timeless? Which compositions do we need today that would correspond with the changes that humanity undergoes, and how can a good play contribute to our development?

The director gives an updated interpretation of old classical plays. There are actors who dress up just like the hero in the play and there are those who add their own. We live in very special times today, and the world needs new compositions. Compositions were always based on the power of the ego. The hero was the one who overcame others.

Today the world is integral. The new hero is the one who knows how to connect different people and establish mutual complementation, connection. Modern plays have to be based on today’s life, on how to heal the world. The moral of the play should be that there is one remedy for all the illnesses in the world: the right connection between us.

New Life #379 – The Theater Experience

New Life #379 – The Theater Experience
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

What is it about the theater that makes it such a moving experience? How does it work to make a person identify with the characters on stage, and how can a person be positively affected by a play?

When you go to the theater, you prepare yourself to be influenced by a special environment. This is how it operates on us. Sometimes a play may remind us of past experiences that have been sweetened. It shows us what happened and what should happen. The theater can teach us a moral. It has a great educational potential.

Identifying with the characters, a play with educational value is written to bring a person to a higher human level. The audience can be prepared for the show starting from the moment people enter the theater.

When a person comes to a play, he is filled to such a degree that he forgets about his own life for a couple of hours and is absorbed in the story. This is especially evident with young children. See how fascinated they are when they watch a play or a movie. After watching a play that has an educational value, you return to your own life as a different person, you grow wiser.

New Life #378 – Harmony Between The Sexes Without A Fight

New Life #378 – Harmony Between The Sexes Without A Fight
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Summary

What has gone wrong with the way women function in a global world? What special force is there in a woman and how can she naturally manage in the world once she receives the right education?

The approach of fighting for women’s rights is wrong. It leads to conflicts. This isn’t a female approach but a masculine one. Who is in control at home? The woman is. Why? Because she serves, loves, and connects everyone. Nature has intended a greater role for the woman than the one she fills today; she has to lead the change. The female way to attain something is by agreement and acceptance, not by force. If women managed the world, there would be no wars. Today we all need to be re-educated.

A woman is the driving force in the transition to a new integral world. She has to come out of her hiding place and lead things. It is not a revolution by physical force but by integral education, by educating to connect and to accept. Will there be differences in the wages of men and women in an integral world as we see today? A modern woman needs to feel that she is responsible for the whole world, like a mother.

Tomorrow is the tomorrow of women, because a woman is a home and today our planet is everyone’s home.

New Life #377 – The Female Approach To A Real Change

New Life #377 – The Female Approach To A Real Change
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Summary

What is the man’s place in complementing a woman who adapts to the integral world, and how can we carry it out in society by education?

Women’s organizations that operate in an aggressive male-like manner to achieve equal rights will not accomplish their goal. It is impossible to equalize what nature has differentiated. We have to find a way to reconcillation between the sexes. Aggressive women are successful in a competitive egoistic society,  but this is not exercising the female force.

The nature of the change we need today: in the past the strong prevailed, but today the one who is positively connected to others prevails. The fact that the world has become integrated makes it very difficult for the men, who cannot act in this network.

A woman, on the other hand, is a home, a family, connection, giving birth; she can annul herself for others and complement them. We need a transformation in the heart and mind of every person. We have to realize that the world is integrated and that we depend on each other. Women will digest this change in our perception more easily and thus will lead the change.

The change will start with learning. When we all learn where we are headed, both men and women, then we will act. Managing the change will be in combining the male and the female forces. The feminine demands and the masculine fulfills. The right mutual complementation will lead the world to peace and wholeness, without any distortions and pressures, to perfection.

New Life #376 – The Impact Of Women In An Integral World

New Life #376 – The Impact Of Women In An Integral World
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Summary

What forces do a man and a woman gain in a world that has become integral? What is the woman’s role in the family compared to a man’s, and how do they complement one another?

In ancient times we lived in an interconnected society. Then egoism separated us. Today we are reconnected once again. In the past women were very powerful because they took care of the home, the fire, and the children.

The role of women today:

  • Women need to bring to the new world a demand for connection.
  • We are on the borderline between the macho male history and the connected female future.
  • The male’s nature is to aspire for control. The female nature is to seek the essence. They have to complement each other.
  • Today we must first learn what the integral world we are facing is, what is the meaning of “we are one family.”

A woman’s nature is to care for the well being of the family. Today the family has expanded to the size of the whole society. Understanding the integral world will help women find their happy natural place, a sense of wholeness in life.

New Life 490 – The People Of The Book, Part 1

New Life 490 – The People Of The Book, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

In our world, I have to prepare myself to read each book. If it is an English novel, I need to know English; if it is an architecture guide, I must be familiar with architecture; if it is a report on chemical experiments, I must be familiar with chemistry.

There must always be the basis of preparation that is transmitted separately from generation to generation.

So it is for spiritual attainment. The Oral Torah accompanies the written Torah. The word “Torah” is derived from the word “Ohr” (Light). Therefore, the Oral Torah precedes and is a preparation for reading the book; it accompanies this book and is transmitted by “word of mouth” from generation to generation, from Kabbalist to Kabbalist, in a chain of those who are able to open the book.

If I really want to find out and know what it is talking about, if I want to uncover the world in detail and understand through it who is showing me this “film,” if I am ready to be changed to become like Him, to delve into the matter of the essence of the “pictures” being broadcast, then I must search for people who have a mastery of the Oral Torah.

A Performance with a Surprise

Question: What does it mean to be similar to that force that is showing this “film”?

Answer: This is talking about equivalence of form, equivalence of characteristics.

For example, if I am far from being interested in the theater, when I go to some performance, I cannot connect to it immediately. But then they whisper to me that the playwright has a special cast, the lead actors are real characters who are truly experiencing these dramas….

At first I didn’t know and didn’t understand anything, I was not ready. But now, when I know the background, the substrate, with this I penetrated a bit more deeply. I created new characteristics and feelings within me, I could identify with the protagonists, come in contact with them as if I am standing in their place myself and even going through the situations they are experiencing. I acquired the same characteristics, and thanks to that, the performance appears before me in a completely new light. We don’t understand this world otherwise.

New Life 775 – Assimilation

New Life 775 – Assimilation
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

In our day the differences between the Jewish people and other peoples have become blurred; everything has become free and open. This is a process that endangers the existence of the people of Israel. With the departure from the fold of religion, the Jews should have adopted the wisdom of Kabbalah. Because they didn’t do this, they began to disappear.

In fact, since the 16th century, we needed to know about our inner wisdom. If we don’t add spiritual development to popular Judaism, people will disappear from Judaism because a Jew can only exist as a religious Jew or a spiritual Jew who applies the wisdom of Kabbalah. When a Jewish person becomes assimilated, the Jewish point in him enters into a coma.

Being a spiritual Jew means returning to our root, correcting human nature, living according to the general rule, “And you shall love your friend as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18). A spiritual Jew gives an example of how we connect to each other with love, above the egoism of each and every one. If the current trend continues, it is specifically the Jews abroad who will harm the nation of Israel. In the United States, the Jews will completely disappear, except for a few ultra-orthodox groups.

At the peak of our development, humanity will reach a state in which everyone will be equal and connected, and the people of Israel must provide an example of it. If we don’t provide an example like this to the world, everyone will forcefully pressure us and obligate us to do it. Without adding the values of the wisdom of Kabbalah, spirituality, to our lives, we are liable to disappear.

New Life 774 – Jewish Demography

New Life 774 – Jewish Demography
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

The birth rate in Israel is high because we are living in an optimistic bubble and are unaware of danger. We are unaware of our mission in the world and that we are not sufficiently carrying it out. Our mission is to show the world how to live in connection and love.

The Jews of the Diaspora are renouncing Israel; the Jews who are not religious will continue to disappear from the fold of Judaism. This is a process that is leading to the point where we will realize that we have nothing to rely upon except ourselves, and then we will begin to act.

There are Jews just about everywhere in the world because the Light shines through them onto the world. This is the life force and its vitality. The Jews need to spread the value of connection to connect all of humanity into one big soul.
