The structure of the world can be pictured as a pyramid with several layers. On top, there are the people with a point in the heart. Such people lived throughout all times aspiring toward bestowal because there is “a point” (a spiritual desire) inside their “hearts,” meaning in the desire to receive. With the help of these two “reins,” they can move forward using the environment to invoke the influence of the force of bestowal upon them.

All the others have no point in the heart; their desires are directed toward regular self-enjoyment. However, after those with a point in the heart are being filled with the Light, it passes through to the next layer as well.

This layer consists of different people, including scientists who can accept the message about the integral world. They see that we are right from their research. A knowledgeable person sees what is going on and understands the need to sustain an integral approach because nature presents us with this inescapable fact. And there are many thousands of people like that: scientists, economists, sociologists, political scientists, and so on. We have to cooperate with them by all means.

Apart from that, there are “the rich and the powerful of this world,” such as politicians and tycoons. We can only reach them indirectly with the help of scientists who will confirm the dilemma facing the world: wars and fatal fights on one hand and unity by necessity on the other. It’s in this way that we’ll get another audience that can be addressed: the financial and political elite who have something to lose.

In addition, politicians and the rich have a new problem: People start to hate them. After all, the crisis on streets is happening while they are at the wheel. Not so long ago having wealth was a cause for respect, but now wealth has become hated. This phenomenon will escalate to the point of brutality, and they will feel its heavy pressure.

Together with scientists, we can suggest a solution to them: Because there is no other choice, it’s necessary to start with gradual changes in society. Don’t do any sharp moves, only introduce global education. It’s essential today.

In this way, we can reach the main layer of the pyramid: the public, the masses, who need to “sit at school desks,” meaning they have to be introduced to a system of education about the laws of the new world. This could be easily done because unemployment will reach unprecedented levels very soon, and the economy will halt, except for mechanisms providing basic needs. Many people have already stopped spending money on luxuries. A great number of people will be left without things to do, and they will have to be sent to study. For them it will be a job as well. A person working in the sphere of basic needs will not be any different from a person receiving global education.

Gradually, a new system will be built. Suppose that everyone will be working for half a day, and the other half of the day will be dedicated to studies, and from that, a salary will be accrued. Such a pyramid will be in sync with the demands of the evolving global network of the world.

Question: How can the mutual guarantee be used as a coefficient in a formula? Is it really possible to measure human relations: 50% or 75% of mutual guarantee?

Answer: Of course relationships can be measured: There are 125 degrees of mutual guarantee (the same 125 spiritual degrees of which you have probably already heard). Everything can be measured precisely because according to the way that a person relates to others, every soul consists of Rosh–Toch–Sof (head, inner part of the body, and limbs), and here are parts that he restricts and parts that he uses partially, half, or quarter way.

There is no problem with measuring the mutual guarantee in spirituality—it corresponds to your degree. And are you are asking how we should evaluate the mutual guarantee in the economics of our world? Mutual guarantee does not and cannot exist in our world. The first degree of mutual guarantee is a spiritual degree.

Right now we are in a transitional period called “the time of preparation,” preparing for the entrance into the spiritual world. When I say that the mutual guarantee needs to be entered as a coefficient into the economic formula, I mean that the entire problem with the breaking and the crisis we are now experiencing is the fact that we lack one parameter from a higher degree.And when we acquire it, we reach peace, fulfillment, and balance for a certain time. And after  each time, we will feel like we have lost this balance—the lack of mutual guarantee and economic instability.

This will keep happening on every new degree, until we reach a state when every person suffices with the necessities needed for living, which he himself will determine. At the same time, every person will give the maximum to the extent of his abilities, and he will also determine this maximum himself. This is how corrected everything will be.

But if a person has not yet reached this state, the desires that he is not yet able to work with are being guarded. And this protection is not imposed by his forces since he is not yet capable of it; it is done through the environment, which pressures him. Baal HaSulam explains that the society of the future will be evaluating how much every person needs as well as encourage people by giving them medals, influencing people with encouragement or judgment.

Question: How can you explain to people the integral system we have entered?

Answer: Everyone should feel in his mind and heart that the whole world is his family. Of course, at first it seems inconceivable or worn-out, but let’s look at the facts: Do we have a choice? The state the world is in today simply demands a “family approach” from us.

So how can we advance in this direction? After all, without it we won’t be able to make any right decision. Let’s take Europe, for example, which is desperately and unsuccessfully trying to come out of the financial crisis. And it isn’t that they lack money. They are ready to invest as much as needed, but they don’t believe it will have any effect. The same is happening in the United States. In the next few months things will become clearer: Our calculations have to correspond to the integral, analogous system that doesn’t operate according to our present mind and emotions at all.

Can I act in favor of the whole world and balance the coming storm with a gradual, general ascent? I am unable to feel this approach and estimate it because I myself am not like that. As a result, having discovered themselves in a global interrelated system, the world leaders still make the same narrow egoistic decisions. They simply can’t take into account that fact that “my own benefit” does not exist any more, but only “our benefit.” This is contradictory to human nature.

We also feel this. Do I think about the group? No. I first of all think about myself. Do I worry about my friends and their unity? No. I think about how I myself will reach spirituality. If I reach it, I will change and will begin to worry about them, but in the meantime I don’t. We talk profusely about unity and raise toasts to mutual guarantee, but inside everyone thinks: “What about me?” and not “What about us?”

Yet, we follow the path of free will, and so the crisis is revealed to us “softly,” but the masses are discovering it in a very hard form. If we don’t provide them with the right explanation, they will come to us, and we won’t just feel that there is some abstract global crisis—we will actually experience it personally.

Question: People agree with the idea of mutual guarantee, but they don’t know what to do with it. People accept our explanations in good will, but what next?

Answer: This is enough. First you give a person an explanation of the situation with the integral interconnection, informing him of the fact that in our global world it is inadmissible to give in to protectionism and isolationism. “It’s none of my business” is no longer a viable excuse. We are all interconnected like cogwheels whether we want it or not and there is no clutch pedal that could separate us from one another. There is no other way to go: We simply have to take one another into consideration, to understand the essence of mutual unification and the single human system. Only by mastering its laws will we be able to decide what we should do together from here on.

In the past we were separate and I was able to take anything I wanted from you for my own needs. But now, when we are welded together, I do not take away yet another “sack” from you, but simply move it around from one place to another in the common warehouse. And eventually, this will harm me.

We still don’t realize the meaning of “a single system.” If you don’t take all of its parts into consideration, then you cannot act. The world today is demonstrating the general interconnection to us, and this is just the first, smallest, most proximate spiritual level. Without ascending to it, we won’t be able to fix anything in our lives. From one day to the next, the external pressure will grow, the screws will tighten more, and the conditions of this first level will advance clearer, more precise demands to us.

Eventually we will have to get to know the single system, understand it, include it inside ourselves, and adjust ourselves on the inside to its laws. Then we will suddenly see abundance everywhere. As soon as we attain unity, the abundance will come to light. It will become apparent that peace and order reign everywhere, and we have reached peace on the first spiritual degree.

After that the next degree becomes revealed, and we are again faced by disorder, injustice, chaos…. That is how we continually discover our non-conformity to the following level of ascent.

Until any serious economic blows actually take place, we disseminate this knowledge only unassumingly, we prepare ourselves, build an organization and all its departments, and work on materials. For now we will try to act as we can through our groups and the people who join us.

But the real dissemination opportunities will open when the economy collapses, and the world will really need it. There is no point in coming out before this signal from the Creator because we will not be heard anyway.

First, the old life style must collapse so people would understand that we will not be able to survive in this egoistic system, according to the current method, with our current economic and human relations. Popular unrests and riots will be happening around the world, governments will lose control of the situation, and the World Bank will lose control over finances.  Banks, loans, credits, and everything else will stop working and will barely function to provide us with the opportunity to buy food and earn a certain minimum. There will be an economic stagnation, which will make everyone equal and push everyone below the poverty line.

And then it will be possible to speak to the people, or maybe a little before then. But without the crisis, there will be no opportunity to go out on the streets and announce the idea of mutual guarantee. We know that Baal HaSulam was trying to also do it under the conditions of an impending war and all the problems associated with it. But people were not yet feeling it in their pockets, and this is why nothing was bothering them.

The same thing is happening today: People are willing to listen only to the extent of the problems they experience in their pockets. So far the demonstrations have originated on Wall Street and several other places, but undoubtedly, they will gain their full force over the course of this year.

Question: Modern economy measures economic prosperity using real indicators and indexes. Will the economy of the transition period have its own standard, an “index of mutual guarantee?” How will we measure it?

Answer: It will also be measured by money. Money (Kesef in Hebrew) means covering (Kisuf), the screen.

Question: Who will determine this index?

Answer: A single regulatory body that operates according to needs and also according to the level that everyone is able to connect to it in the equivalence of form. It may very well be that it is already possible to write the formula for it now. These things are not that far-fetched.

First, we have to find the right words and to write several articles about the essence of the current economy, about its history and basis, and about the foundation the mutual connection between people is built on. After all, the economy is the expression of our connections, our egoism. But together with it, it is also related to politics and feelings, to advertising and lies of the modern world. Economics is not a precise science because it encompasses human feelings and connections between people.

If the economy didn’t include our sensations, if it only reflected revenues and expenses, we wouldn’t have faced any crisis or had any problems at all. However, as Baal HaSulam writes in the article “Peace in the World,” we cannot measure efforts, success, satisfaction, and human relations by money alone. For example, I don’t want to work with someone even if I make a thousand dollars a day, and I am ready to work with someone else for fifty dollars.

We are not machines, and so the economy is not an accurate science, but rather something in between. We measure what we can, but quite often our ego spoils the “rigid” calculations, and we can’t cope with that.

This is done on purpose. The Creator “trips us up” from the very start: We are created different, and we can’t measure each other by a yardstick. This is where our economic problems stem from.

When will we be able to build the ideal economy? When we are able to measure our desires and passions, all aspects of our inner world. This is why we see that economists are helpless without Kabbalists. Working alone, they only spoil everything.

Therefore, we have to show them that it is possible to create a new measuring system. First, we must write a series of articles about the economy as the reflection of our relationships, including emotional ones. This psychological rationale will enable us to smoothly bring the reader to Kabbalah.

It isn’t by chance that the economic crisis has become a kind of a “gate” to the new world. It reflects the picture of our world in the most comprehensive way, and by that we will feel what we lack in order to survive and save ourselves.

And what we lack is mutual guarantee. What is it? Mutual guarantee makes up for the human factors that the economy fails to take into account. It is impossible to measure them with money, but we can bridge this gap in advance. It isn’t clear why one person has to receive two pounds of fulfillment, the other a pound, while the third a pound and a half. Economics cannot provide an answer to that, but we compensate for its deficiencies with the help of the spiritual power. When we rise above all our desires, which are so different, we fill them with a higher calculation, which will become a defining feature of the future economy.

Thereby, we supplement the financial economy with the economy of Gematria. According to it, if a person exerts maximum according to the attributes he received from the Creator, he is in one system together with everyone else, in end of correction. Whether you like it or not, you won’t be able to calculate anything correctly in any other way. The crisis will be felt until the end of correction, until the emotional compensation based on mutual connection will compensate for all the economic differences by one hundred percent.

One of my neighbors receives more than I do, another receives less, and a third one receives something totally different. Looking at them, I have to compensate for all these differences with my attitude. Thus the material economy and the economy of the screens will complete one another. The two accounts—the corporeal and the spiritual—will become one and will totally complete one another.

This is why humanity will not be able to bear the economic crisis. And it’s not about the fact that it concerns food shortage—this is because the differences between people are revealed here. We see it as the gap between the rich and the poor, but essentially, this is the manifestation of the need to compensate, to reconcile people. We are looking for an opportunity to compensate for our inborn differences so that everyone could stand equal to others. This is what the economic crisis reveals to us.

Question: A lot of people in the world advocate cooperation and caring for others. How can we connect to them?

Answer: We don’t connect to them. There are quite a few “good-hearted ” individuals who volunteer in hospitals, help the needy, or establish different charity organizations and funds. They help people and that’s very good. According to Baal HaSulam and sociological surveys, about 10% of humanity are altruists.

Today, however, for the first time in history, we have reached a crucial point in our development, and people need to be taught the laws of the world they are entering. Our goal is not another egoistic sweetening, not help for the poor, or a cosmetic redistribution of resources in their favor.

No, humanity is about to enter a new dimension in which we have to be connected among us globally and integrally. Nature starts giving us hints, as if saying: “This is how you should be from now on—connected organically, as one man with one heart, like all my other parts. Stop developing inside me like cancer.”

No one besides us truly understands what is happening. Therefore, we have to teach people. We are an educational organization whose only goal is to teach the laws of the global world.

The mutual connection is appearing everywhere. We can’t separate, even if we wanted to. The only way to cut off our connection is by war, but that won’t help either because the inner ties between us will not disappear. The war will soon be over, and we will have to resume the connection, only under much more difficult conditions.

Today the crisis destroys all aspects of life. We have to see this situation as a springboard to the next level. The evolution of nature compels us to move on to the new stage.

What will we gain by that? We will gain the new system. By this mutual work, by mutual connection, we will discover nature’s internal force, its internal mechanisms—and will rise to a new level of existence. First we will get rid of all the daily problems, and in addition, we will reach the next dimension.

So there is no other choice: Nature compels us to reach that. This is why we don’t give out gifts for the holidays. We leave that to other organizations. We are only busy with the new, integral education. Just as kindergartens and schools prepare kids for life in our world, we now have to prepare all of humanity to life in the world that has manifested to us in which we are all globally connected.

The upper, single, integral system is coming closer to our human system destroyed by egoism. If they clash, there will be a horrible explosion.

Question: People around the world are awakening and starting to talk about unity. Why is this happening?

Answer: It stems from the inner sensation. A person can study for ten years, hear about the importance of unity daily, and yet it’s all in vain. If he doesn’t feel a need, he won’t hear anything.

But suddenly he begins to understand it from inside, naturally. Unexpectedly, he starts to realize that we all are connected together, that we need social justice and equal distribution, and that we all have to reach balance between us and with Nature. Otherwise, our lives are finished.

Today, a few thousand crazy men exhaust the earth’s last resources and with the help of advertising force us to buy whatever they manufacture only in order to add another zero to their bank account. And we follow their directives as humble slaves: We pursue material goods.

Enough of that, everything is collapsing. We are maturing for our will to receive grows on a daily basis, and as it develops, it starts asking: “What do I live for? What is happening to me? Why do I suffer? Why can’t I reach fulfillment?”

Unemployment in the U.S. has grown tremendously; among others, it especially hits young people who have a hard time finding jobs.There is a huge gap between the rich people working on Wall Street and the young generation. At the age of 20-25 a person doesn’t see any future ahead of him. Without a job he or she doesn’t want to get married and give birth to children. What kind of future awaits his children if his own prospects are bleak?

Spontaneous awakening is taking place. People are going out to demonstrations as a result of their inner impulses; they simply cannot sit still in their houses. It’s pure anarchy: A person doesn’t know what will happen to him tomorrow or even in the next second, and this is how he calms himself down and gets rid of negative emotions. His nature obligates him to do that. People start protesting without having a clear view of the situation, without knowing their purpose, or preparing a program. They simply feel bad.

Gradually, the ups and downs of life force them to wise up, and they start comprehending what is actually going on.

The whole world is awakening today. We’ll see what will happen in China, Japan, and India.… The world is becoming “round.” People by nature demand change. Intuitively, they feel that they have to be connected, that they have to be in balance between themselves and with Nature. This is how the general universal Force reveals itself: Subconsciously we suddenly sense that this is exactly what we lack.

And then everybody starts to oppose inequality and demand something: single mothers, retired people, doctors, and teachers. It’s not a coincidence. It’s a general trend, a common demand for balance. Somebody feels good, somebody else feels bad, and we want everybody to get an equal share. The power of unity and a new approach that obligates us to think that way are becoming revealed in our global integral world.

The question is how do we reach this state? Only the wisdom of Kabbalah offers a solution. It explains how to achieve fair distribution, gain balance, and be compensated for the damages caused by our egoism.

Man still wants to be more than everybody else; he wants to achieve, to advance. So, if we all come to a state where everybody receives only essential things, what’s next for us? How can we reimburse people for what they have lost? Kabbalah explains that it’s possible only through spiritual ascent when our corporeal body receives only as much as it needs, and the rest is being used to develop the soul.

Question: Why does the knowledge about unity have to come to the world from an organization that the world doesn’t understand and moreover, that is based in Israel?

Answer: It comes from people with an urgent inner desire to reveal the meaning of their lives. This aspiration allows them to reveal the program and the purpose of creation, and then realize it. These people are called “Israel” (“straight to the Creator“). This name has existed for five thousand years, and it precedes the birth of the nation of Israel.

These people spread the word of unity to the world. This is how it is.

The world is yet to understand that its anti-Semitism stems from the fact that the power to unite the whole world is contained within the nation of Israel. People don’t want to unite, and that is precisely why they hate the country and the nation of Israel. This hatred is yet to reveal itself.

Even those of us who study Kabbalah still have difficulty accepting and internalizing the words of Kabbalists. Time and time again we forget what we’ve heard. All of this must be taken into consideration when we circulate Kabbalah.

Our presentation has to be polished, sweet, and comprehensible. We shouldn’t present people with questions we can’t yet answer ourselves.

“The world must unite. This isn’t coming from us. This is something leading experts and scientists are discovering today.” We are like an advertising agency for them, and we talk about what is becoming more and more apparent. We quote specialists, famous people, politicians, journalists, and television and radio hosts. We act as their representatives without revealing the inner content right away.

The most important thing is for people to start changing, and later, when they need to, they will find their way to us.
