As One Nation In A Family Circle

Dr. Michael LaitmanIsrael is overcome by a wave of social protest, but if we’re talking about the problem in general, the solution is simple: mutual guarantee, universal unification. But what does it mean?

It means that the entire nation watches as its representatives sit together at a round table and form a joint forum. A round table is exactly what we need to solve problems the way it is done in a family. We figure out who suffers most and begin to help him. Then we move on to the next in line, make calculations, find ways to compensate, and balance out the situation….

Everything is decided in a family circle, without coercion or opposition. We present our common demands to the government as terms.

We need a non-governmental forum comprised of our specialists: economists, sociologists, lawyers, and so on. Needless to say, we need experts who understand matters of law and other professional issues. If not, we would need to begin everything from scratch, whereas humanity is already several thousand years into its development. Our society has developed certain interconnections which we cannot ignore.

So, together with the help of these specialists, we as one whole nation bring to light the general picture and proceed to problem solving. We do it without shouting or excess noise, but by setting our main goal as unity and always aspiring toward it.

Protests As A Manipulation Of The World

Dr. Michael LaitmanOpinion: (Haim Misgav, an attorney and lecturer of law at the Netanya Academic College, Israel): “This is not a friendly protest. …this protest comprises too many components that are empty of substance, infuriatingly hollow, anarchistic, and seemingly innocent….

“However, this protest is unfriendly …because of the manner in which it emerged and because of the ultimate objective hiding being it. Unfriendly elements… feed it with slogans and lies from the moment of inception, wickedly and maliciously, motivated by a clear intent to topple a government elected at the ballots. Organizations hiding behind seemingly innocent names whose funding sources were never fully (or at all) publicized are funding this protest….

“That’s the essence of these artificial protests. Demagoguery and more demagoguery coupled with the dissemination of baseless hatred against certain strata or sectors…. Their only purpose is to undermine the existing order and create a “new world” – one that is anarchic, radical and seemingly liberal, just like in Stalinist Russia.”

My Comment: Earlier, during the time of the USA and USSR opposition, Israel was essential to the US, and it benefited from it. However, afterwards, as the opposition ended, the need for it has ceased to exist. Further, it has become a stumbling block in the creation of a union of the USA and all of the Arab world, headed by Saudi Arabia. According to the new USA scheme, they need a connection with radical Islam. In this way, they will be able to continue maintaining their interests in the world political game.

But the laws of nature are not set by the politicians and ceasing their support of Israel, the United States, as a great power, will harm itself because it goes against the laws of human development towards a united integral society.

Can Development Happen Without Destruction?

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: The new trends make it seem like the nations of the world will have to disintegrate from the inside in order to be built anew….

Answer: The whole world has to be destroyed, but the destruction can either happen on the physical level or on the level of understanding and realization. Either we will have to completely destroy ourselves in the physical sense in order to understand that we must also destroy our egoistic spirit, or we can circumvent the physical component of collapse and immediately start working on its spiritual realization in order to then correct the situation.

One way or another, you have to reach the breaking, inner destruction. And it’s possible that to reach it, you will also need the external collapse.

For example, today in Israel we are trying to add our message to the wave of the social protest about the need for unity and for constructing an integral society. The question is: How effective are our efforts? Maybe some amount of suffering will also be required here for people to understand that this is the only thing missing in reality, and the only way to achieve fair distribution of resources.

The people really want social justice, but how can it be achieved? It can’t be done by imposing whatever you like, but others don’t like. Social justice must envelop everyone, all of society. But is it really possible to actualize this without first attaining mutual guarantee?

It would be good if people realized this. Otherwise troubles will be necessary. There are no other alternatives: either the good path, or the path of suffering. If we are unsuccessful on the good path, then the second path will have to join. That is what will happen in all areas of our lives.

However, the more we can influence the environment, the more chances there are that we won’t have to go through real wars, which the world can slide down to in case of a bad turn of events, as Baal HaSulam writes.

Nobel Prize Winner In Economy To Netanyahu: “Way To Go!”

Editorial in the News (interview with Nobel Prize Winner in Economics, Prof. Robert Aumann): “’Netanyahu must continue with his economic policy!’ In his interview, he explains why he supports the economic policy of the head of Israel’s government, why Israel’s major problem lies in the concentration of the production, and why higher education should cost 120,000 shekels a year!”

Protesters With No Demands

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News: “Knesset Deputy F. Kirshenbaum accused members of the social protest in Israel of being irresponsible. ‘Because they cannot articulate their demands clearly, they continue to add newer and newer demands. I sympathize with the protesters, but their demands are not unified. If we don’t formulate a united plan, new demands will only keep piling up.’”

My Comment: The answer is clear to everyone: The protesters have no plan and no demands except to annul the government and then the state! This refers only to the far left protesters who do not want to talk to anyone, who demand the whole government to resign immediately, and who want to hold court over the head of the state.

Starting to breaking things without having a plan of how to build a “fair” society that’s endorsed by all the people—this kind of approach indicates an agenda to destroy rather than to reform. In any case, the decision is made by the people’s vote, not pogroms.

A False Bottomed “Festival”

Reader’s feedback: The article, “The Israeli Summer: A Real Threat” proved to be prophetic. This is confirmed by today’s news report that a group of 60 (!) professors “spontaneously” got organized into committees and subcommittees, and journalists quickly named this group “the government,” (incidentally, as it were) who will advise the demonstrators. Then, just as “spontaneously,” this group organized a press conference with journalists.

It is obvious that these people’s work is well-paid and that someone has put tremendous organizational efforts into it. Clearly, someone is managing the riot and investing a lot of money in it, such as paying for buses to make trips to various cities and back, bringing people to the concerts of famous, extremely expensive singers, delivering food to the protesters, providing portable toilets, banners, and much more.

Besides, the protest leaders are discussing plans for one or two months ahead. For example, in a recent interview, it was stated that a shuttle service is already scheduled to bring people to the protests and there will be special groups to entertain the children to make it easier for parents to join the demonstrations.

As to the question of who is paying for these events, the answer was that everything is being done on a voluntary basis. The bus companies have supposedly agreed to provide free rides, thus contributing to social justice. But everybody knows the cost of renting a 50-seat bus for a day—so there’s no need to explain anything to anyone.

The other day I received a video about George Soros and groups he has sponsored to export revolutions. It gave a clear demonstration of the five stages of a revolution’s development: Creating an atmosphere of protest, forming a shadow cabinet, taking control of the existing media or creating one’s own, and finally—seizing power.

I have no illusions regarding the current deputies and ministers. I do not expect any miracles from them. But the problem is that the aim of Soros’ revolutions is to cast countries into chaos, as was done to Yugoslavia (which collapsed and its fragments are still struggling for existence), The Ukraine (where the former leaders are on trial while the country is ruled by anarchy), the Arab countries (in Egypt, protests continue, while in Syria—Assad desperately tries to retain power), and so on.

There is no need to explain what fate awaits Israel in case of anarchy, considering that it is surrounded by enemies. It can take just a few months to squander the budget and make the country bankrupt under the cover of “social justice.” And then they’ll say, “Game over, guys.”

Unfortunately, those who call the tune possess enormous resources, experience, and an action plan. And the people of Israel don’t seem to realize the danger yet. The current political establishment has missed the moment, and it’s in for trouble. As always, the people in trouble are left to themselves, so it all depends on how well we will get organized and pull the nation out of this drunken festival by making it aware of its own strength and of its desire to get “free goodies.”

Are Mass Protests An Effective Means Of Reform?

Are Mass Protests An Effective Means Of Reform?

Dr. Michael LaitmanThe problem is that the people who are protesting do not yet understand that the reason for all of the dissatisfaction is the loss of hope for the future. This bothers people even more than the fact that there is nothing to live on. A person does not feel that there is something good waiting for him tomorrow. And it is necessary to give people an explanation that there will be no tomorrow if we will continue the way we are! After all, this way we are only speeding up the destruction of the world.

We have to balance out the evil of our egoism with the mind and understand where all of these problems are coming from and why. The people who are protesting are quite capable of this. They are smart and developed. They just need to hear an explanation of the fact that this protest is not the solution.

It’s not because I study Kabbalah and I want to impose its principles onto everyone. See this for yourself and realize that there is no way out! I say this as a scientist.

What benefit would it give to overturn everything and to change one thing for something similar? There used to be one head of government and now there will be another one. So what will change, really? Things will only get worse.

Look at the huge economic downturn that occurred as a result of the recent unrest that took place in Egypt, Libya, and other places. This is being done deliberately by foreign outside forces, which are destroying one country after another in order to keep themselves in some kind of balance. They do not understand that this boomerang will eventually return back to them.

There is no place anything could be achieved by means of destruction and rioting. If you want to build something, then how can the destruction of shops and other forms of disorder help? This will not give you anything, especially since the people protesting are not offering any solution.

In order to find the solution, you need to gather together people who work in politics, economics, and education, sit them together at one table, and have them build the program of changes. Or bring your own program to the table, but one that’s specific and laid out in detail!

However, today when we evaluate various programs that are proposed, we see that they cannot be realized in any part of the world. There is simply no such possibility! And the reason is because the world today has started to function in an integral form, as an integrated system, while we are still trying to operate by the old programs, which were in place before the world had locked itself into an integral system.

That is why no country today is capable of controlling its domestic affairs, and all of them together cannot deal with anything as well. No one can do anything, and that includes all of the countries and governments. And there is no solution to the situation besides drawing closer to nature. We have to start behaving like it does, which means becoming integral and connected with everyone and with the environment into one system.

Until we do this, we will not have any feeling or thought that will enable us to build tomorrow. Now, the only question is: How much longer will we have to suffer in order to understand this? How many more blows will we have to endure in order to want to hear it!?

Why Don’t We Pass A Law About Mutual Guarantee?

The Odd One Out

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: How is it possible that the strikes in your country are starting to disperse?

Answer: I understand your surprise. I already wrote about this in previous posts: Violence won’t happen in this country. This is an ancient nation that was founded on the principle of brotherhood. Even though this has been forgotten and is not being expressed in practice, there won’t be violence and a war where brother kills brother. And if the agitators that are funded from abroad start stirring things up, I am sure they won’t be welcome by the people.

But I do understand your perplexity: Instead of breaking the store windows, looting, and cutting each other “like regular people,” what’s happening in Israel, as if to spite the manipulators, is that scientists and social representatives are sitting down to solve their problems together around a round table.

Question: And what are Kabbalists doing in the meantime?

Answer: They are disseminating materials about the true cause of the crisis: the egoistic connection between people instead of the altruistic, global, integral interconnection that is required today, called mutual guarantee. And they observe how the protestors have started working on unity, how they study their own qualities and try to ascend above them. The best thing from everything that is happening are people’s attempts to find interconnection and mutual understanding.

This is a wonderful example for the whole world of how it is possible to try to solve the issues of the crisis (including economy and society) precisely through an open, non-governmental discussion around a round table, together with all of the representatives of society.

What Is The “Mutual Guarantee” Movement Based Upon?

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Are you the founder of the national “Mutual Guarantee” (Arvut) movement?

Answer: I would not say that I am its founder because this movement is entirely based on knowledge we received from the science of Kabbalah and on the results of the analysis of the data and tendencies of development that are being expressed in the world. Therefore, even though the movement was founded by people, it is based on the laws of nature.

We formulate and offer a practical correction of our society, the observance of the conditions that nature dictates to us.

Question: So this movement can only include people who study Kabbalah?

Answer: No. Any person can take part in this movement if he understands that this is exactly what is required of us today.

Who’s Sponsoring The Tent Protestors?

Editorial in the news (by A. Kogan): “Knesset member F. Kirshenbaum does not understand why the names of Israel’s social protest sponsors, who invest large sums into supporting it, are kept secret. ‘Do they really have something to hide? What about the “transparency” that everyone likes to talk about so much? I don’t understand why it’s problematic to reveal the sources of funding of the social protest. Why are they being concealed so zealously? The press is publishing various rumors while the organizers of the “tent protest” deny them, yet they don’t present their own information either. I want to know what all of this all means,’ stated Kirshenbaum.

“She admits to experiencing a sense of ‘Déjà vu’ about what is happening. She initiated a legislative project to create a parliamentary commission to research sources of funding of non-government organizations that participate in delegitimizing the Israel Defense Forces. According to Kirshenbaum, this initiative failed in Knesset because many members of the ‘Likud’ party literally ‘ran away’ from the battlefield, fearing the noise that would be raised by the mass media.

“What do we have today? A demonstration worth hundreds of thousands of shekels that, according to data from channel 10, was paid for by a certain American billionaire with ultra-left views. The organizers deny this, but they don’t give out names of their sponsors either. Yedioth Ahronoth writes about an office that was ‘given’ to the organizers of the protest, but we aren’t told about who made this gift. It’s a secret. And it’s also unclear to what extent the notorious New Israel Fund is taking part in the protest’s organization.

“At the same time, Kirshenbaum thinks that the protest is based on real social problems that have accumulated over decades. ‘Attempts to conceal the sources of funding from the society tarnishes a legitimate protest because we do not know what the opinions of the sponsors are. Maybe they simply wish to replace the power in the country rather than solve the people’s social problems.’”
