Looking at ourselves, we see that we are spoiled. We don’t have a very good life. Our qualities, habits, and character traits are not very comfortable. We are not satisfied with each other, and we are not very satisfied with ourselves.

This situation can be compared to an unripe apple on a branch, small, wrinkled, sour and having an unpleasant smell. However, gradually, it grows and ripens.

Someone who does not know would not have seen the benefit of this whole process. Really, why does a worthless fruit absorb minerals, vitamins, water, and oxygen?

It is only at the very end that the apple suddenly fills with color, exudes a pleasant aroma and sparkles so with its juicy plumpness. Now, having ripened, it looks opposite to its intermediate states of ripening.

So, perhaps we also are developing in an analogous way? Perhaps, we simply cannot see it because we end our lives without waiting for “maturity” when each one will become wise, wonderful, and noble, in other words, a good person.

Perhaps, in contrast to an apple or an animal, we develop from generation to generation. Each generation is higher and more progressive than the previous one. This would mean that it is impossible to inscribe this process into the framework of one particular life.

Evidently, all of our development throughout thousands of years is similar to the life of one person who develops ever more and more. It seems that, in the end, we will arrive at a wonderful, ripened state.

Apparently, our development moves according to such a scheme. As the saying goes, “Do not show a fool unfinished work.” Since a smart person differs from a fool in that he sees the “newborn” and in advance he knows what the ending will be, and so he can justify the process that we are going through.

However, we do not see the ending, and that is why it is difficult for us to justify our current states. Indeed, our path is very sorrowful and difficult. We are moving forward only by unfortunate blows, problems, and personal mistakes.

Until now, humanity has moved forward somehow. However, today, it seems to be at a crossroad, if not an impasse. We are lost in the desert and do not know where to go.

Here, we have to learn from nature of which we are a part. Nature strives for balance, but, for us, balance with nature means the similarity of properties. Since we are developing, let us see what the general force of nature is, where it goes, what it wants, and what it changes in us.

Here, we can say that our development might be good. We are aware of our evil, our egoism. Becoming greater egoists, we understand with more clarity how bad it is, how much we poison life for ourselves and for others.

I try to succeed at the expense of others, to use them, get ahead of them in power and wealth, and rule over them. Perhaps, all this hits me like a boomerang because eventually we see what kind of society we have built and how humanity appears with its wisdom, greatness, wealth, and splendor. Look at where we have arrived; this is not where we wanted to come.

What is the cause of all this evil? Why do we repeatedly make mistakes and end up with nothing? We are always pursuing some goal, believing that it will bring us good fortune. Then, we switch to the next target with the same hopes, but, in the end, we always meet with a bad ending, frustration, and even a dramatic development of events in the form of wars, epidemics and other disasters.

The problem is the following: If we compare ourselves with other levels of nature, the still, vegetative, and animate, we see that they develop, if they develop at all, very slowly. In reality, they nearly stand still and live according to instincts, the orders of nature that are inherent in them and which they perform.

Studying a cow, ape, horse, dog, or cat, we see that they act in strict accordance with their nature, deviating neither to the right nor the left, and they never make mistakes. An animal has its inner laws, and it is designed to comply with them. On the other hand, a human being constantly makes mistakes, which obviously should initiate a rational development because our advantage above the animate world is the ability to reason.

From generation to generation, we were developing our intellect, education, knowledge of the world, nature, and ourselves. This means that we perhaps are not using our intellect correctly, and that is our problem. If we turn to more ancient times, we would understand why the subject of the human mind was raised by the ancient sages, such as Aristotle and Plato who founded modern science.

They advised not to reveal science to anyone, and to trust it only to decent people who would use it correctly, exclusively for the benefit of human life, for the sake of good relations between people, so that they would live better and more comfortably. If you give science to whoever wants it, then, in essence, you do a disservice to humanity.

An average person, driven by his egoism, uses science to the detriment of others as well as to his own because it will hit him like a boomerang. Those people eventually destroy the environment, driving all of humanity to produce weapons and other things that are not necessary. Today, we see that the great opportunities offered by science can provide us with everything; however, we use it for evil.

As a result, we face a comprehensive crisis that covers all areas and levels of our life. It covers science, education, the institution of the family, relationships between spouses, between parents and children, and in general among all people, our health, future, and culture.

In what are we interested? With what do we fill ourselves? It is with the fruits of the media. This position does not correspond to what we are capable of theoretically. We use our abilities incorrectly.

Thus, we have continued for generations, for the thousands of years that have passed since Plato and Aristotle who warned against the transfer of scientific knowledge to anyone without discrimination. They urged us to trust only those people who knew how to apply knowledge correctly and would invent only necessary and useful things.

Possessed by the evil inclination, people always want to use science to gain power over others, for the development of weapons and medications that are not necessary but are for personal enrichment, and, generally, for all kinds of things that are seemingly necessary, but in reality are absolutely needless. These scientists sell science and their inventions only to make money.

Honest scientists are motivated by love for science and nothing more, as it is written, “Buy truth and do not sell wisdom, instruction or understanding.” As a result, we see that we have completely lost our way in the desert for thousands of years of our development, and thus we have come to this.

When we look around, we see the evil in our development. We can assume that we also had a chance to develop in a better way, to walk on two legs, meaning to expose a bit of the evil and then get back on the right track, and then back again, over and over. All we need is to fulfill the recognition of evil and its hidden parts correctly, to advance step by step, to realize our mistakes and to immediately correct them. Like a child who is allowed to break apart a toy so that he will learn to put the broken toy back together. We allow him to do something wrong so that he will understand what is right.

It’s exactly the same here. We must change our attitude and understand that our life is organized in such a way that evil is necessary. But let’s start learning its essence, getting to know our ego, learning the wrong use that we make with the options that we have especially in technology, science, in the potential that is above the animate level, on the human level.

If we use all our treasures correctly while constantly checking what is right and wrong, we’ll be able, based on this test, to switch from evil to good every time. We’ll develop in alternating phases of shrinking and expanding, like the organs in our body: the respiratory system, the heart, etc. It is also like a bicycle wheel that has one part moving forward while the other moves backward. In every development there are two forces that operate in harmony and complete one another.

There is no need to destroy anything in our world. Until now our development was forced and essential. From now on we should have a more critical approach to what is happening. We should analyze everything that happens now wisely and draw conclusions about the future and, time after time, follow that way of corrections. Then all the evil turns into an important assistance. We use both forces in order to advance. Actually there is no good or bad. These two forces are like reins that help us move forward.

Suddenly we begin to understand that all our egoistic nature is actually good because, thanks to it, we’ve developed the ability to analyze and correct ourselves. From now on, by our correct mutual actions, we will move fast forward, like a locomotive towards the goal, until we become a “ripe apple,” a prosperous flourishing society in which there are good relations.

We have an enormous work to do with explaining to the masses and preparing educators out of majority of the population. The people who are walking out into the streets today who have nothing to do or occupy themselves with still need to be provided for somehow. Otherwise they, hungry, will tear you apart. In any case, a need arises for a certain support. Yet, even if you offer them some kind of financial aid, you will create an army disposed against you.

So why don’t we proceed differently instead? Let’s use virtual networks, television, mass media, and various clubs to add to this everything that we’ve been talking about. Why not make integral upbringing mandatory so that after a few months people will begin to understand the kind of world they are living in?

Who should I protest against? This is an objective law of nature.

Are jobs disappearing? Well, they weren’t needed in the first place; we simply manufactured unnecessary goods.

We pumped all of the earth’s resources out of it, we polluted its surface, produced unnecessary toys, and then discarded them, poisoning the environment. Just look at what is happening with all the rivers—it’s impossible to drink the water. Look at what’s happening with the earth, at the amount of pesticides and chemicals in it.

Should we continue on like this? What for? We can reduce all this down to reasonable limits and instead give a person an occupation, the kind that nature has prepared for him.

We weren’t like this before, we didn’t manufacture large quantities of unnecessary things. The last, 20th century made us this way only so that we would realize the evil of our egoism and where it’s driving us towards. Right now we simply need to realize that we can’t continue like this any more, we are in a state of crisis.

Therefore the necessity, the demand, for integral education is starting to emerge from within, from the very essence of our development.

Question: Suppose a person agrees with the integral methodology of his or her personal correction, where can they receive guarantee and proof that everything else will be corrected too?

Answer: There are people who can understand the necessity of such  a society:

• There are people who arrive at this through suffering as they see that suffering isn’t leading towards anything good;
• There are those who study nature and see from practice, from what they attain through natural sciences, that evidently this is the ultimate goal of nature.

There are different people, so accordingly, all of humanity is divided into a pyramid. At the top of the pyramid are those who simply understand, feel, and sense an inner need for it. These people are created this way. They can be called idealists—they are this way by nature, they’re ready for it.

There are people who arrive at this from a scientific point of view. They agree with it as with a real necessity given to us by nature in which we exist and of which we are a result.

There are those who can foresee the result in advance. Although they don’t like it or see anything attractive in it, they understand that otherwise we’ll be driven towards it through suffering, what’s referred to as “being pushed to happiness.”

And then there are simply people who suffer greatly in our world. There is an enormous number of them. They fight for their existence and live on the level of an ordinary, one may even say animal, life. They don’t have anything other than work and worries, and they keep hauling their life in this manner. It’s sufficient to simply explain to them how to gradually arrange it so they can transfer all of their concerns about themselves onto society, taking upon themselves the care for the integral society.

One can understand in practice that when humanity eliminates excessive abundance and arrives to this common denominator, tremendous forces are awakened naturally. And we can really come to harmony, but only under the influence of the environment.

We see with an example of Europe how a large number of Europeans—scientists, political scientists, sociologists, and psychologists—begin to realize that breaking the integrality is very difficult; that it’s equivalent to going against a pre-set process, set both by nature and at this point, by them themselves. It’s very difficult for them to part with their money, like, say, it’s hard for the Germans to give 500 billion dollars or Euros to Greeks. Yet they see that otherwise it’ll end up costing more. To get your money back is not the same as simply printing it! Here we’re starting to invoke upon ourselves an enormous amount of negative forces. Protectionism is simply dangerous.

When we begin to see the inexorability of this process and gradually explain it to people, it’s impossible to disagree with it—life will oblige us to agree.

We don’t think that we should rage forward and intensively elucidate the essence of the process on every street corner and square. We need to introduce the gradual education and upbringing of a person, objectively explain what events are ahead of us, what frameworks, matrices, templates, we need to enter, starting with the current state and ending with the one we need to reach.

To gradually prepare the public opinion towards this means to significantly soften the entire path that we need to go through. After all, we will go through it either coercively, by evolutionary forces that will severely press us to the point of extinction, the way it was with the dinosaurs, or we can convert all of it into a pleasant, consciously realized transformation of a person from the animate level to that of “Adam” or “Man.”

We need to understand that there is a good and wonderful development there for us. We receive additional wisdom to counterbalance our destructive egoism, and these two forces in us are able to help our advancement. Here we acquire an opportunity to understand where our freedom of choice is. It’s exactly in the middle of these two forces.

On one hand we have an “ugly” force, while on the other, a good and reasonable force intended to help us. After all, we as people really value and respect wisdom. Thus, we can find the true path between the ugly nature and the wise mind, a path that is both good for us and for the still, vegetative, and animate levels of nature, ecology. The result is we will be in harmony with all the forms of life, with Nature.

This means that all the suffering we experience is essentially an invitation to use our free choice and the two forces at our disposal in the correct and balanced manner. The power of the mind allows us to take charge of our egoism and control it the right way. It must not be destroyed, unlike different techniques and beliefs tend to do. We must understand that there is no evil in Nature. The only time the negative force turns to evil is when we don’t use the positive force, thereby necessitating our need to learn to apply it.

One must not judge the outcome by its current stage. It is written, “Do not show a fool half the work.” In other words, there’s nothing to lament in the middle of the journey because in that way we are fools. On the contrary, we must view the current picture according to how much it’s directed toward the goal and we need to understand that every stage of the journey is necessary for attaining this wonderful goal. It shines at us from afar, and we come closer to it by continuing to correct our life. There really is a good future there for us.

And this is why one must not treat nature, oneself, and others badly. One must not have unjustified demands and complaints, or criticize, despise, or hate without a reason. We must understand that all of us are going through the stages of this process and must help each other like people who are lost in the desert and need each other’s help to come out of it. Mutual correction and mutual help is what will bring us to the wonderful goal.

If we want to correctly apply the scientific approach, then we need smart people, who know about nature and understand that a particular process flows in it according to a particular program. The theory of evolution, itself, indicates that our development follows a pattern and not accidental chances. And even though we may not have studied these laws yet, we can already discern the general flow of events. It is not clear to us yet where it is leading, but by the method of approximation we deduct that it is aimed at balance. Similar to how nature is balanced on all levels, we must also arrive at balance on a human level in the end.

Nature balances out a lot of parameters: heat and cold, differences in pressure, with winds, hurricanes, and volcanic eruptions…. In the end, nature balances out itself, including the human level as well.

What is interesting is that a human must balance himself out by himself. There are good and bad forces inside of us, and in order for it all not to come to an explosion, we have science and knowledge, which allows us to establish a balance between these forces within ourselves. Using the bad force and the force of reason, we can adjust them and move forward in harmony.

• On the human level this means that we have to arrive at balanced consumption and take care that the whole world arrives at the same.
• On the human level, we must all be equal in the society, like brothers in one family.
• On the level of scientific knowledge we must aspire towards the knowledge of the general law of reality.

This way, maintaining balance on the material, bodily level, on the human level and on the level of knowledge, we will arrive at the perfect state, similar to an apple, which has ripened.

Once, humanity was touched by spiritual unity. We are talking about the people of Israel who were connected by brotherly ties and were all friends in the days preceding the exile when the Temple still existed. Then, we were all brothers living perfectly in mutual connection and mutual participation.

But, then the Temple was destroyed because of unfounded hatred. As usual, in the course of development, the egoistic desire suddenly grew in this nation, and it fell from the degree of brotherly love to the degree of unfounded hatred, becoming even worse than other nations who were not bound by brotherly love and did not experience this fall. Since then, this nation became rejected and peculiar. So far, it cannot find a place and rest.

Hence we can see that human hate towards this nation obviously is a reflection of the law of nature. This hate towards the representatives of Israel and Israel as a whole can be found everywhere. The reason is that these people should be the first ones to return to the corrected state, to brotherly love, to rise from the unfounded hatred stretching for two thousand years of exile, to unity and by this set an example for all the rest. They must realize what they had before because this perhaps makes them unique and different in the eyes of others.

The world needs this good example because it does not know how to get out of the crisis. And we, the sons of Israel, are in a specific state: We reveal the method of correction for all of humanity and we need to demonstrate brotherly love, the realization of the principle of “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” We need to show humanity that precisely in this way all the people will come out of the desert they are lost in to a beautiful and wonderful life.

We have been entrusted with an enormous, unique, and very important task. There is no challenge greater and better than the one that we face now.

When we examine nature and human behavior given the egoistic desire to rule over others, we see that the only way to influence it is through the society. It is a fact that once a person provides for his corporeal needs, he wants to rule over others, use them for his own benefit, and make them suit him. And this is why he depends on the society.

For this reason if we were to give him an environment that demanded a good attitude from him to be accepted in it, whether he likes it or not, he will have to change his qualities, like jealousy and passion for pleasure and respect, according to the demands of the society.

It is his egoistic inclination that demands this connection with a society, a connection where he is the ruler. But the society, can give him an opposite understanding without breaking this connection: Go ahead be great, be proud, be above others! But do it through good, not evil!

In other words, the desire, which he used to use in a way that harmed the society and benefitted him, gradually begins to change through his dependence on the society. There are many examples like this in life.

For example, a person is running for an election. What does he want? To rule, prove his abilities! He wants to make new laws, establish a new order, and head the government. And what does he say? Something completely opposite: I will serve everyone, work for the common good, I will treat you the best I 
can, and love you like a father.

It follows that a person’s connection with a society forces him to have an altruistic attitude towards it, even if it is nothing but words, even when his actual intentions are completely egoistic. For this reason, if we give a person a proper society to educate him, the problems will disappear.

When a person, egoistically running for president, promises the people to carry out all their demands: create jobs, provide shelter, safety, etc., the society must treat him the same way.

You want respect? Work for us, do good for us, and you will be valued. Then you will have what you deserve according to the good deeds you do for us.

It turns out that we do not complain, do not blame, and do not require a person to change; these demands are meaningless and unreasonable. But we can influence a person in an indirect manner, through the environment, so he would easily accept everything necessary.

A person will grow like in a greenhouse, acquiring a form that corresponds to the heat, moisture, atmospheric pressure, and other external conditions. He will enjoy doing it as a game, just like children grow and become wiser by playing.

There is no point discussing the way each one of us needs to change since everything depends on the influence of the environment. We simply need to act like in a play. It will be a game—a life-changing game, but still a game, which is so much fun that we will dedicate our free time, freed by our ego from daily 
obligations, to forming a good environment.

We will grow without effort and will easily change with the support of teachers and educators just like children who grow and are changed by playing. We only need to know how to use our free time and knowledge, which we are now receiving, to change the right way.

But why haven’t we done it earlier? What prevented us from doing this a thousand years ago, when we were living in an underdeveloped society in past generations? Then we were not able to know and recognize our evil. We thought that the ego helped us develop and didn’t feel that it was bad. The ego pushed us toward progress and development, and we did not consider it to be evil.

Well, we became distant from each other, created separate families, marked social and state borders: All these were good things. We never thought that this would bring us to such a big common destruction.

Only recently did we start to realize how hopeless our state is, and that the only way to form a new person is by building a new society.

Like an incubator, greenhouse, or the hands of a maestro, this society prepares new people out of us who use all the strength they have on top of the animal level for the good, and not evil—and they will become good people instead of evil people.

We will try to use the power in the group, society, and humanity in a good way so that when every person connects with others, he would feel that he is close to them both in his heart and soul, in one thought like in one body. He will feel so close to them that he will feel and understand thoughts and feelings that fill the world.

Every one of us will include the entire humanity within himself, and then we will see nature has brought us to this wonderful state through our development where every person feels that he is a collection of everyone. This way a person goes beyond the boundaries of the perception of his brief and insignificant life and begins to feel our integral world through the entire humanity.

This way we realize the main force of our life, egoism, which distinguishes us and lifts us above the animal level. It actually lifts us, and does not lower us to an unhappy, miserable life where I would feel afraid and powerless, which is worse than the animal level, in fact sometimes when I watch my dog or cat, I envy their lives.
