There Is Nothing Better than Being in a Ten

275Question: A new friend recently joined us. We sincerely wanted her to become part of the ten. But after some time, she began criticizing our work. She started pointing out how things should be done “correctly,” and eventually announced that she wanted to leave. What should we do? Should we try to keep her?

Answer: I do not think you should try to keep her. If she is criticizing your work and wants to leave, let her go.

Nevertheless, you must clarify things among yourselves and understand that there is nothing better than being in the ten and constantly rising together with the ten. The path you take and the questions you discuss are not so important. What matters is that you have a common intention toward unity among you and with her, and in this way, move forward together.

Strive to Bestow to the Creator

938.02Question: Does the depth of connection with the Creator correspond to the depth of connection with the friends?

Answer: We feel depth to the extent that we are in connection with the friends, and to that same extent we can channel it toward the Creator.

Then we will be on the same “wavelength” with Him: we as receivers and He as the bestower.

Question: You said that we must strive to bestow to the Creator through the ten. How can we discern which actions are bestowal and which are receiving from the Creator?

Answer: Act according to how you understand it. That will still lead you to the correct connection between you and the Creator.

The Question of Overcoming

938.07Question: It is written that we should always be in overcoming. Then there is a question whether my path is correct when I work with a group, with a ten, and all of a sudden I feel pleasure and enjoyment. Does it mean that I am making a mistake and that on the contrary, I have to find paths where I have to overcome something? Is this correct?

Answer: It is correct if you feel that you constantly want to be fulfilled with the light of the Creator to a greater degree. At the same time, you will be in connection with your friends because they give you strength and their volume that you can fulfill like a conductor of the light from the Creator to them. In this way everyone will rise.

Question: Then what do I overcome?

Answer: You overcome your egoism that pulls you down.

The Mighty Hand of the Creator

938.05Why He has made the work of bestowal so hard was that He wanted the mighty hand to be revealed, as it is written, “for with a mighty hand he will send them, and with a mighty hand he will drive them out of his land” (RABASH, Article 14, “The Connection between Passover, Matza, and Maror“).

Question: What does it mean the Creator wanted to reveal a mighty hand?

Answer: The Creator gives us a certain power that distances us from Him, from the quality of bestowal, and similarity to the Creator, and we are in a state where we cannot do anything.

Once we slowly accumulate the forces of resistance, we each begin to work against them all. That is, I am in a certain ten—this is a must—and in it I must manifest myself as a bestower and gather everyone into one force.

Then, being in such a ten, we can strive to get closer to the Creator.

Not Only on the Battlefield

938.02Question: When we sing and dance as Rabash did, is that also a war against the evil inclination?

Answer: Of course, but it depends on what you are thinking about, why you are dancing, whether your heart wants to include all your friends.

In other words, clarify what force is born in this dance, in the embrace with your friends, what is it that you want to achieve through it. That is very important.

How Can You Fill Your Friends’ Hisaron?

599.02Question: How do I fill my friends’ Hisaron (deficiency)?

Answer: By helping them, by your actions. Find out what they want and try to be with them in it.

You are a giver because you see what your friend needs and you help him achieve it. That is how it works.

Create a Common Kli

938.02Question: How is our making concessions toward one another in a ten related to a common Hisaron (deficiency) appearing?

Answer: In this way, you want to feel what the other feels, and he does the same toward you. This creates a common Kli.

Each of you tries to unite in the other’s desire to bestow: the first in the second and the second in the first.

Question: When we annul ourselves before our friends, we can receive from them. But what can we give them in this state?

Answer: You unite with them in order to create a common Kli. A friend bestows to me, and I bestow to him to the extent that we can unite.

How Can You Recognize a Spiritual Descent?

509What is meant by a spiritual descent? Sometimes people think that it is a consequence of some corporeal failures like being fired from work or problems in the family.

But in truth, a descent is the feeling of distancing from the Creator, and an ascent is approaching Him. That is how we should understand ascents and descents, and work accordingly.

Distancing from the Creator is felt like not understanding what is required of you, not understanding your state, and suffering from your incorrect connections with other people. The remedy is to rise above reason and connect with the desire for correction embedded in nature, with the force of bestowal and love, so that it begins to rule over you.

An Incredible Difference

938.04Question: Love for one’s neighbor is a great force with which one can overcome everything. Is the condition for its development mutuality? What is mutual love between friends?

Answer: Mutual love between friends exists when they know and understand each other and are united in their aspiration toward one another. Then they achieve unity, adhesion, and attainment.

There is a big difference between each person feeling their own individual place in the spiritual world and them uniting to feel a common place in the spiritual world.

This is an incredible difference! It means that each of them builds an entire world for himself.

In such unity, many in the group connect their desires in such a way that they feel the entire group as one whole.
