Assume the Burden of the Upper Governance
One who assumes the complete burden of the kingdom of heaven (Malchut Shamaim) finds no labor in the work of the Creator, and can therefore adhere to the Creator day and night, in light and in darkness (Baal HaSulam, Letter 18).
To accept the burden of heaven means to bow your head before the force of the Creator and to be ready to follow His instructions in everything.
In other words, in accepting the burden of the upper governance, we want to be included in the work of the Creator so that it becomes clear to us where we are, where we should be, and what we lack in order to come to the right state.
Therefore anyone who encounters any obstacles on the path should understand this, as Baal HaSulam says, either through the thought of creation, through faith, through confidence, or by praying. But he has to be ready for it.
Question: What is meant by “confidence”?
Answer: It means that I am confident that what I feel now comes from the Creator.
