A question I received: When people suffer, they unite. Now that the entire world is suffering, there’s a chance for unity, but won’t this unity dissipate the moment the situation improves?

My Answer: People aren’t uniting because of hunger. Rather, the system we live in is being revealed as a network that lacks the right interconnection. This is why the unity will not take place on the level of the banks, the economy or human relationships. This crisis will drive everyone into a dead-end, and the situation will improve only when people connect with each other. The recognition of evil will continue to grow, and accordingly, people will correct themselves more and more.

Today, the whole world is beginning to work for the Creator. The whole world – which comprises one soul – must ascend up the spiritual degrees all the way to the World of Infinity. In the past, only a small group of people wet through this path of ascent to the World of Infinity, but today, the whole world must go through it.

This is called, “the coming of the Messiah,” and the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah to the whole world is called, “the horn of the Messiah.” There is a law that states: the general and the particular are equal. Therefore, the whole world will undergo all the same processes as the group.

Questions I received about the Vedas, theosophy, other Kabbalists and autism:

Question: I find your lectures and books very interesting. I do not want to compare Kabbalah in any way to other “teachings,” but can you tell me what your thoughts are on the “Vedas,” which are teachings from India? My interest is to understand what your opinion is on other teachings that may have similar views, however different the “Kabbalah” approach may be.

My Answer: These teachings are psychological and act within the boundaries of our world.

Question: Are there any contacts between spiritually advanced representatives of Kabbalah and spiritually advanced representatives of Theosophy?

My Answer: No!

Question: Whenever Kabbalah is mentioned on TV, the name of a certain contemporary Kabbalist, Rafael, is mentioned more frequently than your name. This Rafael explains that Kabbalah says that the Messiah will come to the world soon, which is completely contrary to what you say. Can you please comment?

My Answer: I am not acquainted with him. I just know that today there are many “Kabbalists” on every corner…

Question: I recently had the privilege of attending a young severely autistic boy called David’s Bar Mitzvah, where he sang all seven Torah readings in perfect pitch and tone. You could have heard a pin drop; it was amazing. His mother said to me after that David says the words sing to him. What does Kabbalah say about the Hebrew letters in the sense of the letters singing to a boy and what does it say about severely disabled children?

My Answer: Autistic people are unable to make corrections. It is a special life cycle of a soul in our world. Our task is to help them; this will correct both us and them.

Two questions I received on what being a woman means in spirituality:

Question: You say that in order to advance spiritually, a woman has to help the male part of the world group, and this is how she will obtain her fulfillment. However, when a woman expresses a direct desire “to be like the Creator,” everyone laughs at this. Should a woman be ashamed of this desire if she has it?

My Answer: Don’t worry. It’s quite the contrary: all of us, men and women alike – all the souls, are the female part of the Kli. We are all the desire relative to the Creator, who is the male part, the One who fulfills us.

Question: In this life I am female. In my past lives was I always female? If I reach equivalence of form in this lifetime, will I be female in spirituality? If so, will a man also be male in spirituality, or female because he will be filled with Light in his vessel which is female?

My Answer: You were always female and you will be female up until the Final Correction.

A question I received: I believe in one heart and one world. I believe that God is nature, the energy all around us. The energy governs us and gives us information, and we have very little free choice. And I love it that way, I accept it with all my heart.

But I don’t understand the separation of men and women at the Congress? And the Kippah (skullcap)? Are we not supposed to be free of religion and be as one heart? Souls don’t have gender, and Kippahs represent religious separation.

My Answer: The presence of women influences the male hormones and thus distracts the men from the right intention. This is why we prefer to study separately. The unity has to happen through our souls, not bodies. And in addition, the unity has to happen according to the proper scheme, which is clear to those who study the structure of the common soul.

The Kippah and all other external attributes are not required. The Kippah is worn only by Jews, and the only purpose of this is to demonstrate that they received Kabbalah from its source. After all, for 4500 years Kabbalah was passed down within the Jewish nation. Of course, there is absolutely no need for a Kippah or for the observance of any other rituals.

A question I received: It says in the treatise Brachot that one who dreams that he’s reciting Shema Israel (Hear, O Israel) should be awarded with the presence of the Shechina (the Divine Presence), yet his generation is not worthy. How does Kabbalah explain this text? What is the spiritual significance of dreams, and what is the spiritual state of a person who dreams this particular dream?

My Answer: A dream does not mean a regular dream of our animate bodies, but rather a particular state of the soul’s ascent. In this state, a person feels the Upper Level; however, he doesn’t feel It directly inside his desire, but in a manner that is concealed from him.

Then, after one makes efforts to attain greater self-correction, the dream becomes reality: the person rises to the next spiritual level. If one dreams of reciting the Shema, then the next level for him is to attain adhesion with the Creator. This is what the Shema represents, and is why one is awarded with the presence of the Shechina – the revelation of the Creator. However, his generation (his present state) is not yet worthy (not yet corrected enough) for the revelation of the Creator.

If you want to understand everything correctly, start by understanding that the entire universe is inside a person, and all the names and descriptions refer to his qualities and states. This is what we learn in “the perception of reality” section of Kabbalah. You will then see that a dream is one of the highest spiritual states of a wakeful Kabbalist.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955, a French theologist and philosopher, one of the developers of the Noosphere theory): His theory is founded on the ideas of Plotinus (205-270) about the emanation of the One (an incognizable Primary Essence, characterized as Goodness) into the Mind and the universal Soul, with the consequent transformation again into the One. According to Plotinus, first the One exudes the universal Mind, which consists of a world of ideas, then the Mind produces a universal Soul, which splits into separate souls and creates a sensitive world. Matter emerges as the lowest degree of the emanation. When the creatures of the sensitive world reach a certain degree of development, they recognize their own incompleteness and strive for a union. Subsequently, they attain adhesion with the One.

According to de Chardin, man strives to enter the sphere of the Mind and to dissolve in God. Evolution did not end with the human being as an individual, but rather proceeds as humanity unites into societies with a growing differentiation of individual functions and as a result, a growing degree of interconnection.

Questions I received on the soul:

Question: What happens to the soul when the body dies?

My Answer: The soul is “a part of the Creator,” and the Creator is the quality of bestowal and love. So, a person acquires a soul when this quality of “love for one’s neighbor” emerges in him. However, he does not have a soul until he acquires this quality of love and bestowal, and is similar to an animal. This is why it is written in Kabbalistic texts, “All of you are like animals,” “A person is born a small animal,” and so on.

One can acquire the quality of bestowal and love only under the influence of the Upper Light, which is a force that corrects one’s egoism. This Light is called Surrounding Light (Ohr Makif ) or the Creator because It surrounds us and we are inside it. It is written, “The Creator is like water that cleanses Israel (Mikve Israel Hashem), where Israel is Yashar-El, meaning, one who aspires to the Creator, to bestowal and love.

What does this mean? A person perceives our world using his natural, egoistic qualities. When he obtains the altruistic quality of bestowal and love, he feels the Upper World inside this quality. This means that he acquires a soul.

Once he acquires this quality, it stays with him even if his egoistic quality vanishes, or in other words, even if his body (the matter we feel in our sensations) dies. And that’s because there is only one created matter – the desire, and all existence is felt within this desire. If the desire has the intention, “for one’s own sake,” then one perceives “our world” or “this world.” If the desire has the intention, “for the sake of one’s neighbor,” then one perceives the Upper World or the Creator.

The birth of our bodies, our life and death, are but the emergence and extinction of the Light inside the egoistic desire. Spiritual birth, on the other hand, is the emergence of the desire to bestow and to love outside of oneself (to act not for one’s own sake, or not in order to feel egoistically comfortable).

The desire to bestow is independent of the egoistic desire, through which we feel our bodies and this world. Therefore, when the body dies and the feeling of this world vanishes, what remains is the altruistic desire and the feeling of the Upper World.

Question: How can the soul “see,” “feel,” and “perceive” without the functioning of the brain?

My Answer: We feel everything inside the desire. The brain only helps us to distinguish what we see, or rather, what we desire.

Question: Is it really possible for the soul of a person who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, who has lost his memory and cognition, to restore all of this after death?

My Answer: Once a person develops the soul, the quality of bestowal, it never disappears.

Question: Why does it happen that infants and small children, whose souls have not yet been corrected, die so young?

My Answer: By existing for as long as they were destined to, they corrected a particular part of their spiritual development.

A question I received: You wrote: “Every woman represents a desire, and every man represents the fulfillment of this desire. Hence, it’s impossible for women to be friends with anyone, and they can only love what belongs to them.” I don’t understand, why is it impossible for women to be friends with anyone? Perhaps my definition of friends is different. I understand that I don’t have many true friends and just lots of acquaintances, but I still feel I have friends. Can you explain?

My Answer: A man’s egoistic nature has to go through correction in order to transform to “love for one’s neighbor.” However, a woman’s correction doesn’t happen by participating in a group of friends or girlfriends, but by helping the men’s group do their work. How can a woman help them? By working on dissemination.

Everyone has friends, but in Kabbalah we are talking about something special: the unification of the male souls into one common soul, where each male soul and all the souls together are joined by the female souls, like Galgalta ve Eynaim and AHP. The male souls have to correct themselves by uniting, and they then transmit the correction to the female souls. However, the female souls receive the correction only to the degree they connect to the male souls.

It is written that when the Creator was revealed, 600,000 men united in a Mutual Guarantee while the women surrounded them, supporting and helping them. Another example is the family, where the husband works and earns, and a woman receives what he brings her, organizes the home, gives birth and produces the next generation, even though it receives the man’s name.

A question I received: Our souls are in a broken state, but their structure – Malchut and the nine Sefirot, is the same for all. So what is the difference between them?

My Answer: The nine Sefirot, like parts of a person’s body, are the same for everyone. But the Malchut of a person, like a separate part of one body, differs from everyone else’s. And Malchut determines how the nine Sefirot pertaining to it are manifested, even though they are the same for everyone.

Psychologist John Cacioppo advises the lonely to try making friends, “Lonely people feel a hunger. The key is to realize that the solution lies not in being fed but in cooking for and enjoying a meal with others.”

My Comment: The only way for an organism to be healthy is when there’s a harmonious connection among all of the organism’s “building blocks.” And it’s the same with people: when we connect by means of a mutual guarantee, we reveal the Upper Life, the perception of eternity and perfection that becomes revealed in our connection.

The current crisis is a sign that we’re making the transition from being souls separated by our egoism to becoming unified souls. When we unite, we will reveal the Upper Life inside our unity!
