The European Debt Crisis Is A Vicious Cycle

Dr. Michael LaitmanEditorial in the News (by Siim Kallas, Vice-President of the European Commission): “Neither the declaration of any country’s insolvency nor its exit from the Eurozone are reasonable measures. If you try to break this vicious cycle by having one of the countries declare itself insolvent, then the other countries, which gave it loans, will be pushed to the verge of bankruptcy. What will happen then?”

Comment: It is impossible for anyone to break their ties with the others. But when the ties are egoistic, whoever goes down takes the rest with him and uses their demise purposefully to save himself.

Therefore, the only alternative is to rise above egoistic, protectionist solutions and begin to act only on the basis of common, global, integral, total dependence and mutual guarantee. There is no other solution. Egoism itself is pushing us to change it.

“Life Cannot Go On In Charity Mode”

Dr. Michael LaitmanEditorial in the News (by Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Bangladeshi economist ): “It is necessary to change the way they administer foreign aid. Instead of giving handouts of food and other aid, donor nations like the United States should help fund groups based on a model of social business….

“When the bulk of the things are free, you are not building the economy…. Life cannot go on in a charity mode all the time. We have to shift from the charity mode to the business mode. Social business has tremendous promise, but must develop with deeper roots….

“If societies change their mindset to teach students that the goal of education is not to get rich but to enrich one’s life by helping others, the business model could drastically reduce poverty in this century.”

My Comment: Every region should create the industry necessary to satisfy the reasonable requirements of the community. And the production should not grow beyond that because it will then become socially and environmentally harmful.

In their spare time, the citizens should be engaged in the system of mandatory, global, integral education where they will study and realize the method of correction of people and society in accordance with nature.

Can Development Happen Without Destruction?

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: The new trends make it seem like the nations of the world will have to disintegrate from the inside in order to be built anew….

Answer: The whole world has to be destroyed, but the destruction can either happen on the physical level or on the level of understanding and realization. Either we will have to completely destroy ourselves in the physical sense in order to understand that we must also destroy our egoistic spirit, or we can circumvent the physical component of collapse and immediately start working on its spiritual realization in order to then correct the situation.

One way or another, you have to reach the breaking, inner destruction. And it’s possible that to reach it, you will also need the external collapse.

For example, today in Israel we are trying to add our message to the wave of the social protest about the need for unity and for constructing an integral society. The question is: How effective are our efforts? Maybe some amount of suffering will also be required here for people to understand that this is the only thing missing in reality, and the only way to achieve fair distribution of resources.

The people really want social justice, but how can it be achieved? It can’t be done by imposing whatever you like, but others don’t like. Social justice must envelop everyone, all of society. But is it really possible to actualize this without first attaining mutual guarantee?

It would be good if people realized this. Otherwise troubles will be necessary. There are no other alternatives: either the good path, or the path of suffering. If we are unsuccessful on the good path, then the second path will have to join. That is what will happen in all areas of our lives.

However, the more we can influence the environment, the more chances there are that we won’t have to go through real wars, which the world can slide down to in case of a bad turn of events, as Baal HaSulam writes.

Nobel Prize Winner In Economy To Netanyahu: “Way To Go!”

Editorial in the News (interview with Nobel Prize Winner in Economics, Prof. Robert Aumann): “’Netanyahu must continue with his economic policy!’ In his interview, he explains why he supports the economic policy of the head of Israel’s government, why Israel’s major problem lies in the concentration of the production, and why higher education should cost 120,000 shekels a year!”

Protesters With No Demands

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News: “Knesset Deputy F. Kirshenbaum accused members of the social protest in Israel of being irresponsible. ‘Because they cannot articulate their demands clearly, they continue to add newer and newer demands. I sympathize with the protesters, but their demands are not unified. If we don’t formulate a united plan, new demands will only keep piling up.’”

My Comment: The answer is clear to everyone: The protesters have no plan and no demands except to annul the government and then the state! This refers only to the far left protesters who do not want to talk to anyone, who demand the whole government to resign immediately, and who want to hold court over the head of the state.

Starting to breaking things without having a plan of how to build a “fair” society that’s endorsed by all the people—this kind of approach indicates an agenda to destroy rather than to reform. In any case, the decision is made by the people’s vote, not pogroms.

A False Bottomed “Festival”

Reader’s feedback: The article, “The Israeli Summer: A Real Threat” proved to be prophetic. This is confirmed by today’s news report that a group of 60 (!) professors “spontaneously” got organized into committees and subcommittees, and journalists quickly named this group “the government,” (incidentally, as it were) who will advise the demonstrators. Then, just as “spontaneously,” this group organized a press conference with journalists.

It is obvious that these people’s work is well-paid and that someone has put tremendous organizational efforts into it. Clearly, someone is managing the riot and investing a lot of money in it, such as paying for buses to make trips to various cities and back, bringing people to the concerts of famous, extremely expensive singers, delivering food to the protesters, providing portable toilets, banners, and much more.

Besides, the protest leaders are discussing plans for one or two months ahead. For example, in a recent interview, it was stated that a shuttle service is already scheduled to bring people to the protests and there will be special groups to entertain the children to make it easier for parents to join the demonstrations.

As to the question of who is paying for these events, the answer was that everything is being done on a voluntary basis. The bus companies have supposedly agreed to provide free rides, thus contributing to social justice. But everybody knows the cost of renting a 50-seat bus for a day—so there’s no need to explain anything to anyone.

The other day I received a video about George Soros and groups he has sponsored to export revolutions. It gave a clear demonstration of the five stages of a revolution’s development: Creating an atmosphere of protest, forming a shadow cabinet, taking control of the existing media or creating one’s own, and finally—seizing power.

I have no illusions regarding the current deputies and ministers. I do not expect any miracles from them. But the problem is that the aim of Soros’ revolutions is to cast countries into chaos, as was done to Yugoslavia (which collapsed and its fragments are still struggling for existence), The Ukraine (where the former leaders are on trial while the country is ruled by anarchy), the Arab countries (in Egypt, protests continue, while in Syria—Assad desperately tries to retain power), and so on.

There is no need to explain what fate awaits Israel in case of anarchy, considering that it is surrounded by enemies. It can take just a few months to squander the budget and make the country bankrupt under the cover of “social justice.” And then they’ll say, “Game over, guys.”

Unfortunately, those who call the tune possess enormous resources, experience, and an action plan. And the people of Israel don’t seem to realize the danger yet. The current political establishment has missed the moment, and it’s in for trouble. As always, the people in trouble are left to themselves, so it all depends on how well we will get organized and pull the nation out of this drunken festival by making it aware of its own strength and of its desire to get “free goodies.”

Mass Protests In China

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News: “In recent months, there were mass riots in China, details of which are carefully hidden.

“China saw almost 90,000 such ‘mass incidents’ of riots, protests, mass petitions and other acts of unrest in 2009…. Like many other recent protests and riots, news of this one spread on China’s Internet, especially on Sina’s popular Weibo microblogging site, reported Radio Free Asia….

“‘In fact, China has riots more serious than England’s every week,’ said one Weibo comment.”

Comment: The whole world has become integral and therefore there are no regions that are separate and that can avoid experiencing the crisis, each in its own way. There are no societies that can avoid feeling how they are being pushed toward change.

However, people do not understand the nature of these changes, they do not see that they are driven by the desire for unity. This is happening because the integral, general network has connected us and compels us to realize our oneness and the oneness of all of nature.

If we begin to move toward this understanding, then even a slight awareness of this appeal from nature will immediately create changes for the better in us and in society! Otherwise, the world will be seized by general, global unrest. People will feel pressured and will go out to the streets and rebel without even  being aware of the reason. And that’s because globality can only be realized within altruistic qualities.

US-European Banks Bring World To Brink Of War

Dr. Michael LaitmanEditorial in the news: “For the Western peoples, who have failed to heed our civilization’s greatest warning that ‘those who fail to heed history and its lessons are doomed to repeat it,’ lie the greatest dangers as the only way capitalistic systems are able to survive is through war, and according to the experts now it is coming much sooner than later.

“The first stirrings of Total Global War to protect the American and Western economies were first sounded this past spring by top Obama advisor, Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman who said: ‘From an economic point of view World War II was, above all, a burst of deficit-financed government spending, on a scale that would never have been approved otherwise. Over the course of the war the federal government borrowed an amount equal to roughly twice the value of G.D.P. in 1940, the equivalent of roughly $30 trillion today.…this slump can be cured. All it will take is a little bit of intellectual clarity, and a lot of political will.’

“Krugman was joined in his ‘war thinking’ by his fellow economic ‘intellectual’ and CNBC analyst Marc Faber, who warned to ‘Brace for a Global “Reboot” and a War.’

“And to how close this war is we can ascertain from Russia’s envoy to NATO Dmitry Rogozin who warned that the United States and its Western allies are planning a military campaign against Syria to help overthrow the regime of President Bashar al-Assad with the long-reaching goal of preparing a beachhead for an attack on Iran, and which, of course, would start World War III as neither Moscow or Beijing will allow this to happen.”

Comment: Kabbalah also states that the world will reach war out of despair. But if we show people the possibility of another way out, which nature has to offer us—namely, the unity between ourselves and nature, then humanity will be able to achieve its final, perfect form and will do without war.

Kabbalah points out that the second path is realistic and we can realize it. Everything depends only on the explanation of how we should act to accomplish this ascent onto the next stage of our evolution where we reach similarity to the integral, global nature.

Financial “Monsters” Threaten Democracy

Dr. Michael LaitmanInterview with Mário Soares, former President of Portugal: “The EU is in crisis today. The markets are disoriented, as are those that govern them. I call them monsters and it’s true, they are monsters. Nobody knows where they came from or what they want. Well, we know they want money so they launch attacks on the euro and consequently countries such as Greece, Ireland and Portugal and others….

“This is extremely serious. We lack a united response, which was necessary for Europe. For rich countries like Germany and Mrs. Merkel, who may be thinking that she can give orders to Europe, to Germanise Europe. If she thinks that, she is mistaken…

“If things carry on the way they are, it will be the end of the European project, there is no doubt. But I think there will be a big reaction. The reaction will come from the people. It is not just in the Arab world that people revolt. The danger is revolution in Europe. Individuals can reject this Europe and say this is not Europe, we want another. We want dialogue, social welfare and respect for each other.”

Comment: The only thing that can save us is the realization that we are living in the new, integral world in which we are fully interrelated and must therefore consider everyone as a whole, as one family. Back in the 1920s, Baal HaSulam wrote that the whole world is one family and if we do not view it that way, then we will bring ourselves to a world war in 10-15 years. And that’s what happened.

Today, the situation is repeating itself with the difference being that time is moving faster, and therefore, a world war could break out within a few months. And it can only be prevented by shifting the world’s tendency toward mutual connection, by realizing the need to rise above protectionism and individual egoism, and by thinking the way people think within a family about everybody while addressing issues from the most pressing to the simplest. Like in a family, first we think about the children and the sick, and then about those who can wait with the solution to their problems.

As soon as we change our approach, we will immediately feel a different attitude from nature towards us because we will reach similarity (homeostasis, balance, harmony) with it, and all our actions in this direction will bring us goodness! Let’s learn from nature!
