New Life 200 – How To Fall In Love Every Day Anew

New Life 200 – How To Fall In Love Every Day Anew
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

In order to develop a mutually loving relationship, we need to feel what is missing for our spouse and try to fulfill that desire. We provide each other with opportunities to love in the same way that a mother loves her baby. In order to receive love, we must give love. We should provide workshops in which people can learn about true love by expanding their ability to feel and their understanding of where feelings come from and the purpose they serve. For example, we need to learn that when emotional coolness enters our relationship, it is only an invitation to fall in love again, more deeply, above our egos, through conscious effort and commitment. By following the principle of “love your neighbor as yourself,” we learn to hold onto each other through every cold wind and live in an eternal paradise.

New Life 159 – The Ten Commandments, Part 2

New Life 159 – The Ten Commandments, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

The Ten Commandments instruct us to maintain certain norms in order to reach connection, reciprocity, mutual responsibility, and harmony among us as a new type of society. They were placed before us at Mount Sinai as a symbol of our transcendence above hatred and separation. We discover the ten laws of the single system on our way toward complete, mutual connection. We need to re-establish all of the Ten Commandments with a new quality. For example, “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13) actually means that I should not cut myself off from anyone, even when it seems as though the other person hates me. We begin to connect according to the principle, “love your friend as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18) and the spiritual meaning of the Ten Commandments will be revealed to us along the way.

New Life 199 – Passion And Intimacy

New Life 199 – Passion And Intimacy
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

What is love and what distinguishes it from passion? Sex is a natural desire like the desires for food, family, money, or respect. Sexual desire takes on different forms according to the development of our ego and societal influences. Love, on the other hand, is an internal, emotional, and soulful connection based on mutual security and friendship. We are born with a need to be loved by our mother to begin with and eventually by a partner, by society, and even by the entire universe! We develop our unique sense of individuality when we feel loved and connected. In order to create loving relationships, we need to invest in our partners and be open. As a society, we should develop workshops so people can get in touch with their innate desire for love and start to imagine how we would feel if we attained it.

New Life 454 – Israeli-Arab Relationships

New Life 454 – Israeli-Arab Relationships
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

How does the connection between the Jews influence the Israeli Arabs for the better? How will this change the sense of discrimination felt by some of the nations of the world? How can we understand the crucial role of the Jews?

The way to work with Israeli Arabs is to show them how we, the Jews in Israel, connect among us, and how we can accept them among us so that they can also be connected with us. Let’s investigate the systems of our connection, but from the perspective of the corrected form. For this we have a method and we know from the forces of Kabbalah what form we need and how to implement this. Then we will reach tranquility with our neighbors and the rest of the nations of the world and they will come and help us. The nations of the world will carry the children of Israel on their shoulders and bring them to the temple in a perfect state.

We are falling behind in this. There is a unique partnership here. We should form the head. The people of Israel have an idea, a message. The nations of the world have the forces. We do not have the forces, and they need a goal.

All parts of the body are important in order to reach the goal. Since each one’s unique role is equally necessary, they won’t feel that they are deprived. They don’t want our role; they just need us to fulfill our role so that they can perform their role. Once we do the work, once we wholeheartedly want to achieve wholeness, they will adhere to us and be devoted to us heart and soul. By this we can turn them into aiding forces. The work is therefore not among the Arabs, but among the Jews.

The moment Israel acts as the head, this force of connection will pour from Israel to the nations of the world, and the world must respond accordingly.

New Life 453 – Wave Of Upheavals In Israel, Part 2

New Life 453 – Wave Of Upheavals In Israel, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

There is very little understanding as to why there is such an upheaval at this time. It is unclear what should be done regarding the violence being committed against common citizens.

The final state is determined by the initial thought. It is all part of the waves of development governed by the absolute laws of nature. We are under this system of laws whether we are conscious of it or not. The process we must go through in history begins in the chaos of the shattering of harmony on all levels. There are different periods within this process— still, vegetative, animate, and speaking.

The periods within the speaking level are of a different nature. Humanity was not conscious of the way it has developed until 5,775 years ago when Adam discovered nature’s plan. Since then, we have some kind of knowledge about what is happening to us, and we have been given the tools with which to research our internality. Our future form already exists and we need to reach it. By our participation, we can initiate an easier, more pleasant process.

When I participate, the force inside me is felt as desirable and good. We are learning how we can influence our fate. How do we hasten the process and consciously participate in our own attainment?

If we discover certain phenomena that are outside of this harmony, it means that we are not keeping nature properly. A very tiny part of humanity called Israel determines how the rest of humanity will act. Others can also join this process. If there is no wholeness, Israel is to blame. We need to understand that Intifada and anti-Semitism indicate that Israel is falling behind.

Already a long time ago, Israel began to fall short of its correct participation. We needed to start pulling ourselves and the rest of the world into its whole and perfect state. We only need to think how we can take the forces of nature and arrange the connection between us within Israel. When we connect among us, we disperse the force of wholeness and perfection, of love and connection to all of humanity.

We were once connected in the time of the First Temple and we fell from that state into the nations of the world. We integrated with them and absorbed all of their desires. It was necessary to absorb the entire human ego inside of us, and this is what we went into exile for. Now we need not wait for anyone else. It is up to us. Once we have connected among ourselves, the nations of the world will come and help us. If we do not perform our role, we can expect worse calamities to occur.

We need to understand the measure to which we are still not in a corrected place. The people of Israel must awaken and start doing what is upon us to do. Let us make of our life and the lives of all nations a good, pleasant, and beautiful life.

New Life 452 – Wave Of Upheavals In Israel, Part 1

New Life 452 – Wave Of Upheavals In Israel, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

In the wake of a wave of riots among Israeli Arabs—violence and terror attacks that have made people afraid of being on the streets—we would like to understand the complex relationship we have with Israeli Arabs.

We need to look at this from the point of view of the truth of the upper force and how it behaves toward us. The system of nature begins from a chaotic starting point where everything is gradually arranged according to laws that have become increasingly clearer. The human level was already contained within this system of inanimate, vegetative, and animate creation, but has not yet been fully revealed. Nature is always being drawn toward balance until it reaches its inner harmony.

Accordingly, human society is also in a process of rapid development that draws us toward greater revelation of balanced and harmonious states. We can observe that nature proceeds at its own special pace called ”in due time,” which we perceive as historical processes and the relations between different parts of humanity. Within this context, we see that a special phenomenon called “the people of Israel” is present throughout all of history.

When compared with other nations, the creation of the nation of Israel was completely artificial. Instead of evolving naturally out of common culture and customs, Abraham gathered from among all the nations those who cared about the upper force. The essence of this nation is this very exalted idea not of this world. According to this principle, Abraham said our place is there, and so they went. There existed an equivalence of form with the soil. When Israel was no longer in accordance with “one man with one heart” and “love of others,” the land expelled them.

History exists only in order to allow time and place to work on this nation in its special role throughout history. They had to go through a shattering; they had to discover an opposite state, exile, where they were totally separated and dispersed among all the nations, after which they have gathered once again to elevate themselves toward unity and pull all of humanity toward unity with them. Everyone hates Israel and wants to erase it, and yet they see that they depend on Israel. They believe that Israel are the ones creating the problem, and they may feel weak compared with the people of Israel.

History has to end at the end of 6,000 years and conclude the entire historical process where we reach the end of correction, this world disappears, and we enter the next world. This upper state is a state of unity and mutual bestowal. The Israeli nation has to be the head and lead everyone to this final state. We have to take into consideration what the general plan is and how closely our participation matches this general plan. Israel must balance the forces of plus and minus, otherwise adverse consequences will manifest. We must tell everyone what is coming and lift ourselves to the degree of harmony, bestowal, and love. We receive the guidance of nature, sometimes as “help against.” When we understand the tendencies of nature and the plan laid out for us, we will be able to resolve the problem.

New Life 258 – Mixed Neighborhoods

New Life 258 – Mixed Neighborhoods
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

What do we need to do to make our neighborhoods the best in the world and live with our neighbors as one family?

Neighborhoods of mixed cultural values are colorful, but they present special challenges. How can we create harmony within such diversity? What happens when there are populations with different needs and little common ground?

Each prefers their own approach to life and while they may not want to impose it on others, they also don’t want to change their approach. We need to work against our rejection of each other and feel that our neighborhood is our common place. We must increase the profitability of going against our ego and see that working together is safer and better in the long run. We need to go from self-concern to social concern through psychological and social education; we need to take the needs of others into account in mutual respect and assistance. We need to elevate above the differences to something greater.

I might start when we can make common efforts to address common problems, like trash or crime. We will more easily connect when we are faced with a big common loss or a big common benefit to be achieved. We can strive to succeed and to celebrate our successes together.

In practice, we need to gradually prepare different groups for eventual mutual connection; it won’t happen immediately. We should look for opportunities to connect a little. We can lay the foundation for connection in each group separately and then mix them a bit, like inviting others to wedding celebrations for example.

Through intention and effort, love will grow in each separately and awaken together between them. The most diverse groups can be taught to love the others above their differences, for everyone’s common benefit.

New Life 257 – Interdependent Relationships In The Neighborhood

New Life 257 – Interdependent Relationships In The Neighborhood
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

How do we elevate relations between neighbors to a higher level?

A person of today generally wants to close himself off in his apartment and not be disturbed, but this doesn’t happen. Instead of building more walls and further isolation, one must begin to build relationships and connections. The only remedy for any problem, neighborhood problems included, is to build good relationships and connections between us. If we hire someone else to address problems, it will not help. Nature is pushing us to connect and integrate with each other.

Neighbors should gather socially to get to know each other better. Then they can share their mutual concerns and think together about how to address problems through building good relationships between them.

Games and activities that connect children can be an effective approach to also begin to connect their mothers. Ask “What do we have in common? What don’t we have in common?” Such discussions can lead neighbors to explore how they can improve their situation together. Shared classes, a shared picnic, or a shared barbecue will fill everyone with good feelings.

But above all, we need to change our attitudes to each other. In a perfect neighborhood everyone feels like one family: close, connected and concerned about each other and the fulfillment of each individual’s needs and our common needs together.

New Life 113 – Working In Sales, Part 2

New Life 113 – Working In Sales, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Today’s consumer is willing to pay for an uplifting attitude and emotional connection. A good salesperson sells a positive mood. An integral business buys the public’s trust through full transparency and coordination with other organizations. Growth is measured according to an improved attitude toward clients as well as increased interaction and mutual connection.

New Life 112 – Working In Sales, Part 1

New Life 112 – Working In Sales, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

In the new labor market that operates according to the integral approach there are no salespersons but consultants with very different attitudes toward the clients than in typical sales. Your client dreams of receiving the same kind of treatment as from a close friend and not a salesperson who tries to push a certain product. The need for shopping is disappearing and the need for connection is emerging. The integral organization should serve refreshments, give gifts, hold events in parks, and give to the needy. The secret of sales and advertising is to provide a warm, loving attitude, just like a mom, through the CNSB model which is based upon closeness, need, solution, and benefit.
