First of all, I have to commit myself to bonding with others in order to reveal the property of bestowal. But it takes a long time to reach this need, which is called “the time of preparation.” At this stage, I reveal the extent to which I am unable to connect with others, do not desire, and hate it,

This is where I find the hatred. In truth, it’s not hate for another person, but for the property of bestowal itself. Rejecting another person is rejecting the Creator, His property of bestowal. That’s why I have to arrange the support of my environment, of that very friend with whom I want to connect by asking for his help: “I hate you, and I need your help!” After all, there is a very special force called the “mutual guarantee“, as it is said: “So help a man his neighbor.”

That is how I get the support that is deposited in my account since I drew it from another source. And to the extent I achieve this mutual guarantee, where I support him and he supports me, we try to get closer to one other and cannot! Then we discover that the mutual guarantee does not help either because the One who maintains it is absent. We need the Creator to be a witness, a guarantor who signs our contract.

It’s as if we are lacking the “head of the bank” and therefore our guarantee is invalid. It has to be supported by capital and power. That force which can unite us is the Light! And the Light is revealed through our reciprocity. This is what sets us apart from all other cases of guarantee, such as between criminals who have united in order to steal. After all, they did not bond to implement mutual bestowal.

This is a profound discernment which shows why we are able to realize ourselves in this way, although bonding did not help everyone else who pursued material goals and did not draw the Light that reforms to them. There must be a mutual guarantee which contains the force of the Creator, the force of the Light inside of it.

This is described as: “Israel (aiming straight to the Creator), the Torah (the Light of correction), and the Creator are one.” This is the only way to connect: When we (the Creator, the group, and me) are together. Otherwise, it won’t work. There won’t be a force that can engage the engine, and then we will simply get off track. We will not be able to examine ourselves, as if we are in a dead circuit with no electricity in it.

But if we work in a way where one supports another, with the Creator’s power unfolding between us, this is the only way we will arrive at the correct system where the Creator is revealed. That is how the quality of bestowal is revealed among the creatures. We create spiritual vessels out of ourselves, and within them the Light, the Creator is revealed.

Comment: The only thing that can save us is the realization that we are living in the new, integral world in which we are fully interrelated and must therefore consider everyone as a whole, as one family. Back in the 1920s, Baal HaSulam wrote that the whole world is one family and if we do not view it that way, then we will bring ourselves to a world war in 10-15 years. And that’s what happened.

Today, the situation is repeating itself with the difference being that time is moving faster, and therefore, a world war could break out within a few months. And it can only be prevented by shifting the world’s tendency toward mutual connection, by realizing the need to rise above protectionism and individual egoism, and by thinking the way people think within a family about everybody while addressing issues from the most pressing to the simplest. Like in a family, first we think about the children and the sick, and then about those who can wait with the solution to their problems.

As soon as we change our approach, we will immediately feel a different attitude from nature towards us because we will reach similarity (homeostasis, balance, harmony) with it, and all our actions in this direction will bring us goodness! Let’s learn from nature!

Question: It’s hard to believe that there is an organization that suddenly wants to do only good things without any selfish interests, which is why people naturally feel distrust toward your “Mutual Guarantee” movement. Can you comment?

Answer: We are not planning to do any good things for anyone just like that, out of the goodness of our heart, so to say. This is not natural for people—and who knows that better than Kabbalists! We want people to find out why nature is advancing this condition of having to “create a global, integral interconnection,” of being “as one family” to us, and how we can make ourselves, our society, our government, and our world balanced, harmonious, safe, and full of everything we need to lead a good, correct existence.

On one hand, this calls for a gradual, patient explanation and education. On the other hand, the world is moving toward greater chaos, which will force people to be more attentive to the search for a way out of the situation, for the instrument to change it. Then they will gradually discover that the solution we offer actually comes from nature’s conditions.

This is not an artificial theory created by economists, ecologists, or other specialists, but one that comes from the very conditions of nature. Therefore, nothing about it is ours. We simply explain it to people: Look at what is really happening in nature, how our world is built, how the system of interactions between people is arranged, where we are going, and how we can change everything.

Today nature itself is presenting this challenge to us. If we reveal the global, integral crisis, and if we reveal our universal interconnection in a negative manner, then naturally, this will lead us to war, to a big fight. But if we constantly improve and soften that interconnection, this will lead us to a mutual, good, kind connection. This is the mutual guarantee, when I know that I depend on everyone and everyone depends on me, and I try to make this interconnection kind and good.

Question: How is it possible that the strikes in your country are starting to disperse?

Answer: I understand your surprise. I already wrote about this in previous posts: Violence won’t happen in this country. This is an ancient nation that was founded on the principle of brotherhood. Even though this has been forgotten and is not being expressed in practice, there won’t be violence and a war where brother kills brother. And if the agitators that are funded from abroad start stirring things up, I am sure they won’t be welcome by the people.

But I do understand your perplexity: Instead of breaking the store windows, looting, and cutting each other “like regular people,” what’s happening in Israel, as if to spite the manipulators, is that scientists and social representatives are sitting down to solve their problems together around a round table.

Question: And what are Kabbalists doing in the meantime?

Answer: They are disseminating materials about the true cause of the crisis: the egoistic connection between people instead of the altruistic, global, integral interconnection that is required today, called mutual guarantee. And they observe how the protestors have started working on unity, how they study their own qualities and try to ascend above them. The best thing from everything that is happening are people’s attempts to find interconnection and mutual understanding.

This is a wonderful example for the whole world of how it is possible to try to solve the issues of the crisis (including economy and society) precisely through an open, non-governmental discussion around a round table, together with all of the representatives of society.

Mutual guarantee is an interconnection between us where I have to consider all the other people just like members of my family. It’s difficult to imagine that this is possible, but we have to attain this inner state in our development where every person in the world will sense the whole world as being inside of him.

How do I sense my family? I feel every member of the family inside of me. They are like one whole with me. I feel what I have to give to whom, whom I have to take care of, and whom I have to support. I have my elderly parents, children, grandchildren, the household, expenses, responsibilities, debts, someone is sick, someone needs help, and so on.

According to this, when we hold our common family council, we take the needs of every person into consideration, make a list of priorities and rate how important these necessities are. We decide what we have to do first, what next, what comes after that, and so on.

If we act with the same attitude toward the world, just like in one family, then each of us will become a harmonious part of this world. This is the state that nature will bring us to, either by blows or by our understanding.

Answer: I would not say that I am its founder because this movement is entirely based on knowledge we received from the science of Kabbalah and on the results of the analysis of the data and tendencies of development that are being expressed in the world. Therefore, even though the movement was founded by people, it is based on the laws of nature.

We formulate and offer a practical correction of our society, the observance of the conditions that nature dictates to us.

Question: So this movement can only include people who study Kabbalah?

Answer: No. Any person can take part in this movement if he understands that this is exactly what is required of us today.

Mutual guarantee means that the principle, “The well being of society is above personal well being” becomes the law of every person’s life.

Only on this basis will we be able to provide a respectable life for ourselves and our children. Only upon this foundation is it possible to fulfill all of the social demands that people advance by coming out to the streets today.

In the News: Crowds came out in Qianxi, Guizhou, one of China’s poorest provinces. Reports say hundreds of people rioted, setting fire to cars belonging to the local government, blocking off streets and injuring several police officers. Police arrested 10 people.

Chinese towns regularly experience short-lived outbreaks of unrest. The anger is often directed at local officials. Analysts say such incidents are on the rise in China, and provide one of the most pressing challenges to the rule of the Communist Party.

My Comment: It’s frightening to think about the unrest that is gradually swelling in China. I hope that before it breaks out, humanity will understand that the only possible path of development is the path of gradual unification toward mutual guarantee (Arvut Hadadit). This can prevent a lot of suffering in the world during this transitional period from the egoistic framework to the altruistic one.

The “Mutual Guarantee” movement is a social, non-political movement whose goal is to raise the importance of the idea of “mutual guarantee” in Israel and the world. The movement was founded by the international “Kabbalah L’Am” organization with the aim of informing the worldwide community of the reality of the global crisis which has enveloped all areas of humanity’s life and activity, and to offer a scientific method for solving it.

The movement is joined by representatives of every layer of society, regardless of gender, age, religion, nationality, and social or economic class.
