Our world is very small. Today, we already see how Nature puts pressure on us from all sides. You cannot escape from this “globe.” We can no longer do what we want, burn oil, release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

The laws of nature are immutable. However, we lack knowledge of the laws that are related to the human level of development. We somehow understand child development, but in general, the progress of humanity presents us with surprises all the time. Today, all of a sudden it turns out that we have all become one family.

This is supported by studies in various fields, although common people are not aware of what is happening. The world is totally interconnected and interdependent. Problems of one country spread to others. On the other hand, any country can be paralyzed by sanctions, even if it has everything it needs to survive.

Thus, there is the law of the common body, the common family, and there is no escape. And that is why it is necessary to satisfy the condition of mutual guarantee at the global level. This is the only way we can reach harmony with Nature—by building good relationships between ourselves. In this Nature gives us freedom to grow independently. But if we do not do this, then we get blows: the crisis, war, natural disasters.

It is no coincidence that our relationship with the US is cooling down. It is also very significant. And the decision is inherent in the people of Israel. We have the key. Namely, we are able to reach unity, mutual guarantee, it would seem, from which it follows. We are separated, deceive each other, we show solidarity only in times of war, and even with difficulties…

Well, it is time to say: “Enough!” No one will make peace with us until we make peace between ourselves. How? Through education. This simple message should be conveyed to every person: There is no future without unity. We need to fill the air with this message before we slide down to continuous military conflicts because the situation is getting worse all the time.

So let’s get started. To begin with, there are those who already understand and feel this. We have a method of teaching, and it should be implemented. Unity must be learned, it does not happen by itself. The law of gravity acts automatically, but unity is created by systematic work. Similarly, external influence convinces a person to quit smoking. When I hear from all sides about the harm I cause to myself and others, it starts affecting me.

At the beginning, unity is not the most comfortable feeling, but gradually it will flow into life and we will not be able to manage without it, we will not understand how we lived before. First, we will play in it like children, and then suddenly we will feel it, as habit becomes second nature, as a game becomes a reality. At some point, I will not be able to do otherwise without good relationships. It all depends on us.

My Comment: That is, a person is willing to give up money, education, and intellect just so others have less! That is our nature: We perceive and appreciate everything relative to the environment. Therefore, the better environment we choose, the better options we envy, the greater achievements we can reach. It is useless to go against nature. You only need to learn how to use everything that it has invested in us.

How is it possible with these egoistic qualities to achieve integral interaction, brotherly participation, love for the other; what is required of us now at a new stage of human development?

That is why Kabbalah teaches us how to organize ourselves into small groups and create integral communities, like the connection of groups of cells into the organs of a body, and then the connection of the groups in the system, as in a living body, until everyone connects in a single organism—Adam.

Question: I live in Saint Petersburg. What can I give to the Georgian group while physically present at this congress?

Answer: This is a very good question.

First of all you can give your warmth and physical participation. You can leave them with the impression that many people from all over the world are with them, that they are not alone in the mountains, they are our big family and together we are advancing toward the goal; we can’t do it without each other, otherwise we won’t this goal. If the Creator aroused all of us that means we have to work accordingly, we cannot separate any part of ourselves and say that “we’ll deal with them later.” This can’t be done.

It’s like children in the family: Can one be taken care of at the expense of the other? You have to do something with each child and the same thing applies here.

The most important thing for them to understand is that we see them, we feel them, we’re watching them, and we want to see them growing stronger.

On one hand, we have to offer our help and support and on the other, show them that we expect them to become big and successful. This is the kind of impression we must leave them with and afterward we must constantly keep in touch with them.

This is really a good, serious group and these are good states. Georgia is a very important region. As strange as it may seem, it influences everyone else. There are a few places in the world such as the Baltic states and Georgia where the population is only a few million, but they are very sensitive.

This is why we must help the Georgian group and show great concern.

We have to understand that Georgia in relation to great forces such as Russia, Europe, and America is a rather delicate point. Thus, it’s here in particular that our fine work can give results in many distant places.

Kabbalists determined the laws of the group from their own experience. The purpose of creating a group is to connect and to become like the Creator. The group is formed when people who want to attain this state assemble, and of course, the group should understand why it exists. It includes new members who do not understand or perceive this yet, but in a very short time, we explain why there is a group, and non-coercively we gradually lead them to this state.

The group should be unified, and there should be no distortions in it. It isn’t a factory with managers and workers who are subordinate to them. There is no such thing in a group that studies Kabbalah; everything is collective.

We create different committees that serve and help, sustain and organize the group, the study, the holidays, the meals, etc. All this should be accurately adapted to the basic unity of every individual and of the collective. Although we are different, we have to be totally equally, one is wise another is foolish, it makes no difference at all. Everyone is natural as they are and essential in that specific form.

Imagine a mechanism with some of its parts moving fast and others moving slowly, some are moving to the right or to the left and others are revolving around an axis. Everyone has his own role and the main thing is that everyone should do his best for the general unity. The other conditions in the group are created as a result.

The main condition is mutual help and this is what leads us to the connection between us, since a single person doesn’t have to correct anything. Each of us is an absolute whole and there is nothing corrupt except for one thing, the connection with others. This is why I don’t pay attention to a person’s character, to his external form, to his disgusting habits, to anything. All this doesn’t concern me, I use a “filter” and don’t see all this; someone is a redhead, another is boring and someone annoys me and draws me any way they want to, but I don’t care. Behind my “filter” I have to see one thing only: a person’s attitude towards connection and unity, since this is the only thing we have to correct in him. If he works on that, he is my friend and if he doesn’t, he is a stranger to me.

We shouldn’t try to change anything in us except for the connection with others, this is very important. We waste much time and power on this. We should stop dealing with what is unnecessary, since we only break and corrupt ourselves this way. You have to stay the way you are, you shouldn’t waste even one gram of energy on that, just invest in the connection.

When this is clear, the work becomes soft and mutual; it becomes a meal, a yearning for mutuality and for love. We shouldn’t pay attention to anything else. There is only one condition: the connection between us, and the group should constantly focus its attention on it.

We have a long way to go and at the beginning many distortions, misunderstandings, irritations, outbursts, etc. may occur. But there is only one important thing and it’s whether a person truly yearns for unity. If he tries to increase this urge in him, then I take upon myself all his other problems and help him.

Question: How can we attain such a strong desire for spirituality that will reject all the other bodily desires?

Answer: There are “613” desires in each of us, which we have to aim at the greatness and importance of bestowal, love, connection, and mutual guarantee according to our understanding. Everything that is external to my own interests, external to the interests of my skin, should become more important to me than my bodily egoistic desires.

If a person divides his external and internal desires this way and aims himself outward from his body, it is enough for the time being. We should constantly check ourselves and try to remain in the same line of thought.

Eventually a habit becomes second nature, and by the efforts that I make, the Light comes to me. Then I make some more efforts, and some more Light comes. I begin to build myself from these moments because “there is no correction for a person except to direct all the present moments and the future ones so that they will be dedicated and served for His great name” (Baal HaSulam, letter 18) a bit more each time. It is from such exits (Yetziot in Hebrew) (from “Zion”) that the Torah comes out, as it is says: “It is from Zion that the Torah shall come.”

After all, when I feel that I have exited the right intention, I feel a deficiency to return, and then I demand the Light that Reforms, called the Torah. So it turns out that it is from Zion, from such exits, that the Torah is born: not from the ascents, but rather from the descents, from the exits from the right intention.

Thus I constantly add one “letter” after another, until the whole book of the Torah goes through me.

Question: Why does the Creator demand that we keep laws that we don’t even know?

Answer: Today we are on the levels of material nature, the still (s), the vegetative (v) and the animate (a). Here we exist; here we have science and many other means.

But it is about laws on the speaking level that belong to the spiritual nature. We don’t know it, we cannot do anything with it, but we still have to ascend to it. This is why we go through sufferings that push us forward. This is why the sufferings come from the highest level that is now gradually being revealed in us, but in a negative form.

On the animate level you had everything and felt good about it (+!). Everything was great. Suddenly, however, the opposite is gradually being revealed, a great minus, sufferings: what can we do? We don’t know.

Baal HaSulam says, and we also know it from history, that sufferings are revealed in every state so that it will seem unbearable and so that we will rise to the next level. This is how we advance.

So today the sufferings are also meant to push us to the next state. Do you want to wait? Then they will be much greater. After all, it is about a qualitative gap here and not a quantitative one. Before, when there was a shortage of food, we could invent some agricultural machine, and when there were not enough means to build windmills we used to borrow money from other people or from the bank, and thus invest my part in developing the economic system. But today we don’t know what to do. You are right about that.

But there is no other way; the laws of nature will not be revealed on the current level. The only way is to reach a state of balance with nature. In other words, we have to be integral, “round.” We need unity and equality among people—everything that is related to integrality. In addition we need equality and balance with nature.

Otherwise each of us would want to be a billionaire. But it isn’t enough to just make people equal, we also need to discover such equality among us on the corporeal level of necessary consumption, so that everyone will unite equally in order to reach unified mutual guarantee. Thus we will discover the fundamental force in nature from which all the other forces are derived and all the other laws.

If we don’t do that, the sufferings will increase until they reach an atrocious extreme. The prophets tell us about it; it is a law. Nature will do everything in order to compel us to reach the predetermined goal.

Question: So if we take the hurricane in America as an example, should we understand that the problem is with us, with those who understand all this?

Answer: We are to blame since we don’t disseminate this message to others, and so they don’t understand it and don’t change. We are the guilty ones.

It is true that we are “improving” and getting closer to one another and thanks to that we are still allowed to study and to prepare. In the meantime we advance and even close the gap a little, but if we lag behind, we will feel terrible blows.

The key is clearly in our hands, and therefore we are more vulnerable to problems and troubles. All the problems in the world are our fault. We have to understand that it is a sign for us. If we don’t stop the negative global trend, the troubles will reach us.

The only means is connection among us. External dissemination is minor; the main thing is the work among us. If we were totally immersed in connection with the right intention and dedicated all our actions to disseminating our materials in the world, it would be an ideal implementation, the best possible. The intentions should be internal and the actions external. We must only yearn for that along the way, otherwise things will be bad.

Question: How can we make sure that we are firmly supporting our friends with our intentions?

Answer: We should constantly check our attitude to the group. There is nothing more I can check. The right course without deviation, the pace of the advancement—are all measured with relation to my attitude to the friends.

I don’t have to check and examine thousands of parameters and discernments, going crazy between many gauges and dials like in a cockpit, where the eyes must follow a lot of instruments. Only with time is a pilot trained to take in the overall picture and recognize a problem. This why the pilots’ indicators are analog with pointing arrows and they are not given digital displays.

In spirituality it is different. There, despite the many discernments operating on you, you have to bring them to the same scale, to one criterion—to the environment. I reach a growingly stronger adhesion with the group, until I reach the implementation of the adhesion, and I attain the next level and build myself.

Time after time, I adhere to the group and enter it as Noah’s ark. I try to place myself under the influence of the friends as hard as I can. At the same time, I can criticize them, but only if it increases my devotion to them. So first I have to determine the point of adhesion, like a drop of semen in a mother’s womb.

Then when the contact is established, the “flesh” is created around the drop of semen because egoistic desire is constantly added. There are problems, internal criticism and confusion, but I let myself open this “Pandora’s box” only if I am in control of the situation and use it to reach adhesion.

Thus the spiritual embryo grows, by enabling all his desires to participate in the adhesion, above the desires themselves, above reason, and in contrast to its desires. On the one hand, the desires are burning inside, objecting to the annulment, and on the other hand, he demands this self-annulment, the adhesion.

According to his powers, he balances these two extreme states on the middle line and this provides the growing of the “body.” This is because the “body” is basically already a result, a middle line, Tifferet.

Question: Do our thoughts have real power?

Answer: Of course thoughts have power; it isn’t by chance that there are concepts like the “evil eye” and “good eye.” Our mind power is the most powerful force, even stronger than a nuclear explosion. It’s concealed in the greatest depths, among the forces between the atoms. Mind power is the last level before the spiritual force.

But thoughts become powerful only if they connect, if each of us thinks alone, he does influence the system a bit but only on the corporeal level. However, if we begin to connect in order to reveal the power of general bestowal, we revive and renew; it’s as if we ignite and operate the whole spiritual network of connections among us. Then we discover the Creator within it.

We don’t have to have great mind power, the main thing is the quality of our thought so that it will be correct and help us reveal the force of mutual bestowal among us, which means the Creator. When the Creator is revealed the true intensity is revealed. This is already all the Light of NRNHY and not our small world.

We connect and want to be under the influence of the Creator so that He will reside among us and manage us so that we will be in harmony with Him in synchronized actions. Just as the Creator is a constant state of bestowal, so do we want to constantly be in a state of bestowal, then we revive the general network, and to the extent that we are incorporated in it and connected among us, the Creator is revealed.

It’s an immense power compared to which all the corporeal forces are worthless. All the corporeal world begins to revolve according to this internal power of humanity, everything changes starting from our slightest connection, and the main thing is that the connection is right.

We see that in the past year the term “Arvut – mutual guarantee” has become very popular, it’s because when we gather as a group and connect in thoughts and actions, this mind power breaks into the world. If this term expresses a spiritual action, it influences the whole global network and is accepted by everyone.
