In the News (from LiveScience): “Even 5-year-olds know to protect their reps. Children are more generous when they know their actions will be seen, according to a new study.

“The findings, published Oct. 31 in the journal PLoS One, suggest that even kindergarteners have learned to play the social game and strategize ways to burnish their reputation. …

“Leimgruber’s team gave 5-year-olds stickers and told them they could share one to four of them with another child of the same age. Some of the children could see their sharing partner, while others were hidden from view. The team found that the children were stingier when the other youngster was hidden from them. The kids also hoarded more loot when they had to give stickers in an opaque box rather than a transparent one that showed what they were giving.

“Overall, the kindergarteners were pretty selfish: Only those children who saw their partners and gave their stickers in a clear box consistently donated the maximum of four stickers. Interestingly, past studies showed children were more generous than the current study.

“’Previous studies that observe high levels of generosity may have inadvertently included the same audience and transparency cues,’ that motivate kids to share, the researchers wrote in the journal article.”

My Comment: Well, children are like grown-ups; nature does not change but only evolves and adapts. In any case, we have to become aware of this evil with our minds or through suffering and correct it; in any case, we will have to. Kabbalah calls us to do this quickly and easily through by “Achishena” (hastening).

Let’s discuss our nature, reveal its flows, and expose our natural thoughts and desires up to the point of becoming aware of them as the only evil in the world. It is so much so that it is killing us. In the realization of our common evil, we will discover its creator—the Creator; we will find how to turn to Him so that He will correct what He has created. Studying Baal HaSulam’s main articles helps us become familiar with our nature as evil.

Question: Why does the Creator demand that we keep laws that we don’t even know?

Answer: Today we are on the levels of material nature, the still (s), the vegetative (v) and the animate (a). Here we exist; here we have science and many other means.

But it is about laws on the speaking level that belong to the spiritual nature. We don’t know it, we cannot do anything with it, but we still have to ascend to it. This is why we go through sufferings that push us forward. This is why the sufferings come from the highest level that is now gradually being revealed in us, but in a negative form.

On the animate level you had everything and felt good about it (+!). Everything was great. Suddenly, however, the opposite is gradually being revealed, a great minus, sufferings: what can we do? We don’t know.

Baal HaSulam says, and we also know it from history, that sufferings are revealed in every state so that it will seem unbearable and so that we will rise to the next level. This is how we advance.

So today the sufferings are also meant to push us to the next state. Do you want to wait? Then they will be much greater. After all, it is about a qualitative gap here and not a quantitative one. Before, when there was a shortage of food, we could invent some agricultural machine, and when there were not enough means to build windmills we used to borrow money from other people or from the bank, and thus invest my part in developing the economic system. But today we don’t know what to do. You are right about that.

But there is no other way; the laws of nature will not be revealed on the current level. The only way is to reach a state of balance with nature. In other words, we have to be integral, “round.” We need unity and equality among people—everything that is related to integrality. In addition we need equality and balance with nature.

Otherwise each of us would want to be a billionaire. But it isn’t enough to just make people equal, we also need to discover such equality among us on the corporeal level of necessary consumption, so that everyone will unite equally in order to reach unified mutual guarantee. Thus we will discover the fundamental force in nature from which all the other forces are derived and all the other laws.

If we don’t do that, the sufferings will increase until they reach an atrocious extreme. The prophets tell us about it; it is a law. Nature will do everything in order to compel us to reach the predetermined goal.

Question: So if we take the hurricane in America as an example, should we understand that the problem is with us, with those who understand all this?

Answer: We are to blame since we don’t disseminate this message to others, and so they don’t understand it and don’t change. We are the guilty ones.

It is true that we are “improving” and getting closer to one another and thanks to that we are still allowed to study and to prepare. In the meantime we advance and even close the gap a little, but if we lag behind, we will feel terrible blows.

The key is clearly in our hands, and therefore we are more vulnerable to problems and troubles. All the problems in the world are our fault. We have to understand that it is a sign for us. If we don’t stop the negative global trend, the troubles will reach us.

The only means is connection among us. External dissemination is minor; the main thing is the work among us. If we were totally immersed in connection with the right intention and dedicated all our actions to disseminating our materials in the world, it would be an ideal implementation, the best possible. The intentions should be internal and the actions external. We must only yearn for that along the way, otherwise things will be bad.

The path of suffering doesn’t mean that we will be getting a single blow. We have to learn our lesson and eventually turn into intelligent human beings. We have to cease being little egoistic beasts that strive to grasp everything around them for their own sake at the expense of others. We are acting this way subconsciously. We should learn how to act differently and regard every person around us as a blood relative and close friend. It will eventually cause the “butterfly effect” in its absolute form among us.

It will come together with our awareness of the integrality of nature. Our perception of nature will deepen. We will sense the upper layers of nature; thus, we will realize that nature is eternal and that we can go beyond it, beyond time and space, as physicists are already saying.  So we become observers who sense the true nature and rise up to the level of its forces; we live at this level and not in the form of our temporary earthly body.

We have to share these things with all of humanity in a gradual and slow manner; otherwise, people will consider us not quite normal, since it doesn’t conform to their commonly accepted picture of reality; everything that is beyond their routine range, doesn’t exist is unreal for them. Therefore, we must be very careful in our explanation of where we are heading.

But physicists speak about this quite openly now. They are allowed to, since they are physicists. Their conclusions are based on discoveries they have made. It’s not a theory for them anymore; it is a reality because they have been observing this in their experiments since Hugh Everett in the middle of the last century and even earlier.

Question: There is a new global phenomenon, a sort of “time banking.” They receive investments not in money but in work hours. For example, someone invests in hours of gardening and another donates an hour of teaching math and so on. Could it be that humanity has identified the problem of inequality, when a person’s abilities determine his wellbeing?

Answer: I don’t think that this is the right way to go. As usual lack of understanding leads to distortion.

A professor can do things that are a thousand times greater than a plumber, for example, and a million times greater than a simple worker. He can build an instrument, for example, or invent something that millions can use.

In spiritual terms on every level there is a state of Hafetz Hesed, but these states are different and each is on a different level. You build bestowal above your desire to receive and someone else above his desire to receive. So you are not equal.

People who exchange services according to this formula, annul competition and ignore the desire to receive, and yet, without it, it is impossible to exist. It seems that everyone is generous and all is divided equally. But history proves that all the attempts to create artificial equality lead to collapse and even greater competition. So such ideas will not succeed in the long run.

The true advancement is in three lines, not in one. It is a great wisdom, which can only be received from Above with the help of the Light that Reforms. It isn’t simple. The middle line cannot be conveyed from one to another. It needs someone who understands how to manage it from Above. You connect to him and learn from him and attain his approach—only then will you be able to act on your own.

Eventually, no one will understand why the “time bank” will suddenly go bankrupt. People will check themselves and look for reasons and will then come to us and beg for help. They will understand that there is a special “patent” here, although they don’t quite know what it is yet. “You have something that really works,” they will say. “So lead us to it!”

There are quite a few such initiatives that people have to go through. Otherwise humanity will not feel helpless and will not cry out from the level it is on—like the outcry of the children of Israel in Egypt.

Then humanity will realize that the solution that we offer stems from the Creator. They will come to us because we have a connection to the spiritual root that is drawn through the wisdom of Kabbalah. This is what will attract them. Today they are repelled by it and tomorrow they will be attracted out of despair, out of an internal breaking point, when they try to reach bestowal their own way and fail.

Question: For many years, you have been warning people that there are two ways of development, one of which is the path of suffering. Can a person hear this? Should we talk about this?

Answer: I feel as a parent with respect to children about this. Even if they do not hear, you must tell them about this. You must do your duty, your mission. It is not up to you to decide when this works. Try to do this by any means. Always look for new opportunities. This is what I think because I have no other choice. Maybe I sound boring, constantly repeating the same thing, which everyone wants to dismiss, maybe it is true. But I do not think so, at least not according to the response I see.

Perhaps, there was a time when my words seemed strange, but not now. Now, at least, people see that if they enter current websites that address these problems, they suddenly find themselves on my Internet sites, where I talked about this 10-15 years ago.

There is a clear plan that we have to fulfill step by step. But we don’t actually hurry or do that since it is hard and unpleasant. It is much more pleasant to think that we are seemingly advancing and that everything is fine. We suffer a little since we don’t advance fast enough and that we receive too little fulfillment, but we cannot call this a state of spiritual birth yet.

We must realize that if we want to finally be born, we have to account for the fact that the state of the global group and the state of every individual is very tense, difficult and dangerous.

We can say the same thing about the people of Israel in the land of Israel, as Baal HaSulam warns us. He calls the people to connect in order to avoid suffering, and this really helps going through complicated and difficult situations more easily. It is like a birth taking place in a modern hospital, compared to a birth 100-500 years ago when many births ended with the death of the baby and of the mother too. Then a birth was a very dangerous experience, despite the fact that people were different and much closer to nature and there weren’t as many disruptions as today.

The more we sweeten this transition for people, no matter how much we work with them, they will still have to go through the difficult states in order to approach their spiritual birth. They will have to go through great pressures. With the help of Ahmadinejad, Obama, and other enemies who are generally called “Pharaoh,” we will advance.

But our group has to be like Moses with regard to the people, by explaining to them what is happening and why and what should be done about the situation. We have to explain to people that the blows don’t strike the attribute of Israel in us but the Pharaoh that is concealed in us. The blows hit the Egypt in us, Pharaoh, while Israel in us continues to live comfortably in the land of Goshen, lacking nothing.

The main thing is to understand that we will have to go through a very tight spot, a very dangerous and unpleasant state during our birth. Both the people of Israel and the whole world will have to go through it. Everyone will have to see themselves in a very dangerous situation, practically between life and death. It is impossible to be born without this! Without such pressure a person cannot detach himself from his ego and be born from one world into another.

Everyone will have to go through this critical point now; everyone is approaching it. It is as if we are advancing in a tube that is becoming narrower until it finally becomes a point. You have to go through this point so that your ego will remain here on this side. To the extent that you can connect with others, that you are ready to go in this direction, you penetrate through this tiny hole with your spark into the spiritual world.

We have to relate to this difficult state as to the most beautiful and desirable state. Here the influence of the environment is very important so that it will explain to each of us and to the whole world that “there is none else besides Him” and that all of providence comes from one source. So we have to see how the enemies of Israel like Ahmadinejad and Obama actually help us. It is like the saying that “Pharaoh brought the children of Israel closer to our Father in Heaven.” But this is only if we are the people of Israel and not Egypt. Then we begin to understand the process and to actively participate in it as we see that all the means to work with are before us.

Question: Which way is our world group going? How can we connect the internal work, unity, and what is expected in the Novosibirsk convention? How do we see our future way?

Answer: We deal with internal unity as if there is no external world and there is only us, the world group alone, and we have to unite to such an extent that we will reach the level that within this unity we will begin to feel the upper world, the attribute of bestowal, mutuality, connection, and love.

The upper force, the upper state, the next level of our existence, will be revealed in that. It is a movement inward toward our unity.

There is another movement, a movement outward toward the rest of humanity. There we don’t speak about Kabbalah, but only about unity as a necessary action in order to bring the whole world to a balanced state, to resemble nature, the general law of balance and general harmony.

These two actions are seemingly opposite and many of us find it difficult to unite them internally. But the movement inward is our personal movement that is common to all those who study Kabbalah. In it there is everything we learn from the sources.

We change the same material a little, by changing its external form, getting rid of the Kabbalistic terms and leaving only the concepts of cooperation, connection, and mutual guarantee, which we disseminate outward as we call people to notice that our unity will make us equal to nature and will thus remove all the negative phenomena in life. By that we want to draw people to unity, to ascend. After all, they don’t know what a spiritual ascent is, what the next level of our development is, and why nature obligates us to reach it.

These two opposite movements evoke in a person and in the groups great internal conflicts, disagreements, and separations. People don’t know exactly how to act, what to actually do, and whether they should delve into the matter or mingle with the external movement.

We get many questions about that and although on the whole we have been dealing with this for quite a while, many people who have not really entered the system of the change in the world and man as the leading part of the world, begin to acknowledge this now.

So there is a lot of confusion, and we have to put an end to it.

Otherwise, it will lead to great misunderstandings in the groups, and the friends will not understand one another. One will be drawn inward and another outward and suddenly the groups will be divided and will become smaller, and people will leave as some of them do not accept this.

People don’t understand that on the whole our role is to create such a force, such an opportunity, by our internal unity that the upper force will be revealed in us and we will be able to spread it to other people who are attracted to us, not because the upper world and its attainment interest them, but because they see the need to unite by what nature offers us today; for ordinary people it is a call of nature.

I hope that everyone will gradually understand this and whoever still feels that he is still divided internally and cannot internalize these two opposite trends, will accept it and acknowledge it and will start working in the two directions.

I understand that it isn’t simple for a person, but we have to separate the two trends. A person has to clarify that our internal unity, what we deal with in the lessons and in the workshops belongs only to us, the world Bnei Baruch group; and what we do with the 99% of the population is not Kabbalah anymore, but mutual guarantee, integral education, etc.

Kabbalah Books was present at the world’s largest book fair in Frankfurt, which ended yesterday. A team of wonderful friends from Europe gathered in Frankfurt to make this fair a success.

We had promising meetings with book publishers from Spain, Holland, Italy, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Brazil, China, Croatia, Sri Lanka, Ghana, and Ethiopia. Most of our current publishers renewed licenses with us to publish their second and third books and we added a number of new publishers in new languages.

Opinion (Colin Todhunter, Global Research): “Many commentators and economists wonder if the US is able to turn its ailing economy around. The reality is that it is bankrupt. However, as long as the dollar remains the world currency, the US can continue to pay its bills by simply printing more money. But once the world no longer accepts the dollar as world reserve currency, the US will no longer be able to continue to pay its way or to fund its wars by relying on what would then be a relatively valueless paper currency.

“And the US realizes this. Today, more than 60 per cent of all foreign currency reserves in the world are in US dollars, and the US will attempt to prevent countries moving off the dollar by any means possible. …

“With each passing year and each new conflict, the US has been drawing closer and closer to direct confrontation with Russia and China, particularly as it enters their backyards in Asia and as China continues to emerge as a serious global power. …

“Over the past few years, China and other emerging powers such as Russia have been making agreements to move away from the US dollar in international trade. …

“Russia and China have been using their own national currencies when trading with each other for more than a year. …

“The US economy appears to be in terminal decline. The only way to prop it up is by lop-sided trade agreements or by waging war to secure additional markets and resources and to ensure the dollar remains the world reserve currency. Humankind is currently facing a number of serious problems. But, arguably, an empire in decline armed to the teeth with both conventional and nuclear weapons and trapped in a cycle of endless war in what must surely be a futile attempt to stave off ruin is the most serious issue of all.”

My Comment: There is only one way for the US and the whole world: Support and compel Israel to disseminate as soon as possible the method of building a new society. No matter how improbable and contemptuous it may seem, this is the salvation of the world from all the current risks and threats. On the contrary, the US is headed to excluding Israel from the list of the countries of the world, and this will bring them to their own ruin because precisely from Israel the dissemination of Kabbalah spreads, the study of a new humanity and the revelation of the Creator to the world. And all the current problems are calls to move the world into a new state.
