How Can We Draw Closer to the Creator?

284.03Question: You described two approaches to interacting with the Creator: bringing Him closer to me or pushing myself toward Him. What is the difference, and do I have a choice in this?

Answer: Act with the intention of drawing closer to the Creator. How exactly that closeness is achieved is up to Him; He chooses and lets you.

Question: Should I be seeking this two-way connection?

Answer: There is no need to seek anything; just stay with us in all our spiritual exercises, and it will inevitably lead you to the connection with us.

Direct Yourself toward the Creator

962.8Question: If the speed of acknowledging our flaws is faster than the speed of praying for correction, what does this mean?

Answer: This means you need to pay closer attention to your faults and work to restore them to a normal state as soon as possible.

Question: Do both awareness and prayer mean contact with the Creator?

Answer: Yes, of course.

Question: How do we equalize the feeling that both are from the Creator?

Answer: There is no need to equalize anything. You should just direct yourself toward the Creator as much as possible.

“Silent Game”

528.04Question: You have often spoken about the power of silence. How can silence within the ten strengthen the connection with the Creator?

Answer: To the extent that we assign importance to silence, it can strengthen the connection with the Creator. Try to play a “silent game” during a meal or an activity aimed at unity.

In other words, remain silent, reflect, and gather the energy of intention directed toward the Creator. Connect yourself with your friends, bring them all together into one unified knot, and aim it toward the Creator. This is very good work. I recommend doing it at least once a day.

Let’s Pounce on the Congress Like a Pack of Wolves

942We are on the way to a convention, and the main goal now is to awaken a deep, urgent need for it even before we come to it. To achieve this, we must strengthen our connection and unite in our desire so that we can approach the convention with the same intensity as a pack of wolves pouncing on their prey and tearing it apart. This is how we need to prepare ourselves for the convention.

I want to integrate myself among all the participants of the convention with my desire and, together with everyone, extract everything that it contains. Each of us will seize their portion of the prey from the convention and understand that this is precisely why they came. Both men and women will take part in this action.

We want to unite around the topic of the convention and sink our teeth into it to draw life force from it. Each of us must grip it with all their strength because if we act modestly and yield it to one another, it will belong to no one. I must seize my portion myself, but not consume it for my own sake, but rather, pass it on to the Creator.

The force of true faith can only be drawn from the source of faith where we all unite, and each person gives the portion of prey they have captured to others, and in this way, we all share it between us.

What Is Important to Me in a Friend?

938.01Comment: It is still a mystery to me when you say: “The physical attributes of a friend are not important to me; what matters is their inner aspiration toward the Creator.”

My Response: What else is there in a person?! Everything else is animalistic!

In our animal nature, there is a special point in the heart, aspiration toward the Creator. This point is a fragment of a next, higher level. If I work with it and try to connect with it, I gather a group of these points on our physical level, a common desire.

When, by nullifying all our animal aspects, we aim to unite only the spiritual desires, we discover that we rise to the next level and reveal the next degree within this common desire.

And if we ignore our inner point and remain on the earthly level, then we are simply friends with material interests that organize our club and just live in this world. It is one or the other!

Why have we gathered together? To rise to the next level! Therefore, we need to discover our spiritual points and connect them to create a single spiritual vessel. In it, we will feel the next state, the next level, the upper world!

But if we focus on our animal characteristics such as physical attributes or character, we will remain at the level of our world and never transcend it.

Derive Benefit in Any State

253Question: During the day, I find myself feeling anxious, dissatisfied, or angry.

How from this state can I develop the thought that this distances me from the Creator and that I need my ten? After all, I perceive everything as a normal state of egoism.

Answer: Write down such states for yourself, in a few words, but those that very close to your soul. And you will see what benefit it brings.

Want to Unite With All Your Heart

623Question: What can we do so everyone would have the same intention simultaneously during the day?

Answer: To stay constantly connected, in one desire, in one request throughout the day is a very difficult prerequisite, but if you are getting closer to that state, it is good.

Question: But if we want this with all our hearts—to have a strong ten, the lessons, and you, and to remain in constant connection—what are we missing?

Where is this transition to a permanent connection? What should we add to unification?

Answer: This depends on the right combination of your desires and direction toward the Creator.

When Envy Comes to the Rescue

528.02When we ask for our future state, we mean that goodness should manifest above our current egoism because we feel the ego as distance, rejection, and the impossibility of a good connection with each other, and good means good for the other, not for me.

When we imagine the future state, we see how much we cannot match it. I am not able to wish something good for another. I do not have this nature.

And then I have the only opportunity to change myself—to turn to the Creator in order to become a giver instead of a receiver and to think about others. But I cannot do that because it is like asking a stone to become a tree, and a tree to become an animal, and an animal to become a human. It is impossible! This is an ascent to a completely different stage of existence. How can I ask for it?

Here some selfish elements come to our aid: envy, passion, and vanity.

Envy is when I look at others and see that they succeed, that they gain a higher level, a higher state, but I do not. I was created in such a way that I envy. Even if these states are states of giving, loving, and including others in myself, I still envy them because these states come to me from the corrected system of Adam, which was created before his split.

But we have a group. If we develop a system of our connection in it, then despite our desire to remain single-minded, we will nevertheless connect with each other, break ourselves, strive by force toward an artificial union, and—at least not sensorially, but mechanically—get closer to each other.

Envy is especially important in this because with its help I install myself into others; I want what they have.
