Answer: It is about returning to the Creator. Creation in itself is distancing from the Creator. And the return is the result of our efforts.

Question: If it depends on the Creator that He connects with us and fills this connection with His force, what prayer should come from us so that He truly responds to it?

Answer: It depends on the Creator to bring us to such a connection in which we would be similar to Him.

What remains for us is only to strive for it and to desire that it happens.

This means that we must cling and connect to one another, and to close into one another in the heart of each one so we become one bundle to work the Creator wholeheartedly (Maor vaShemesh, “Ki Tetze”).

Question: How do we permeate each other? Or is it my inner work, straight to the Creator in working with my desires?

Answer: It is the inner work of everyone with their desires to connect with others in the Creator. To close into one another in everyone’s heart is a meeting of desires.

Question: The state of “to close into one another” seems so desirable, so inviting. Is the correct result to feel a friend’s keen desire for the Creator? Or is it already a revelation that the Creator fills his desire?

Answer: To feel that the Creator fills all your friends with His inner light.

Question: How should we correctly accept the New Year, new changes, new lights in order to bring contentment to the Creator?

Answer: We must ask the Creator for such a connection between us that we feel one another in the heart so that we all have one heart. Then we will rise from our current state.

Question: When the light influences us, it creates a feeling of complete adhesion.

Question: We must raise MAN (prayer). Is this an action in desire?

Answer: MAN means that I am asking for the power of bestowal. From Malchut I turn to Bina and ask from Bina for the ability to bestow.

But I have to reach such a state that I am filled with this prayer (MAN), and this is enough for me. I feel joy that I am able to raise MAN.

How is this state described in the Torah? You go out into the light of day. Day for you is when you have nothing; you walk in the desert, and search for MAN, the desire for bestowal, and when you find it, it revives you, and it fills all your tastes. Everything you desire is in it.

But what is this taste? Where does it come from? What is this MAN? It comes to you from Bina, and then it is enough for you to have the very possibility of asking the Creator: “I have a connection with Him. I can ask Him. And I need nothing more.”

But do I not want to have a desire in which I will reveal the Creator? No. I am content even with the very aspiration toward Him. This, for me right now, is fulfillment. The connection with the Creator through the group fills me.

But what kind of connection is this? From where do you have anything? There is nothing. But can I turn to Him in this way? That is enough. This is called “walking in the desert,” acquiring the quality of “Hafetz Hesed” (desiring nothing for myself).

For in the desert you have nothing; you truly do not want anything for yourself. But this is the attainment of correction by the quality of bestowal, similarity to the Creator, and in this is your fulfillment.
