Question: It is written that creation must, through its desire, attract a greater fulfillment than the measure of the light spreading within it from the Creator. Why are we obligated to attract greater fulfillment than what comes to us from the Creator?

Answer: We practically have almost no influence on what comes from the side of the Creator. However, the fact that we can raise our desire for a greater fulfillment with light than before, this is what deserves attention. After all, this is precisely the correct result of a person’s efforts. That is why we speak about our striving in this way.

Question: It would seem that the creation is always the result of the light. And yet suddenly, it can make itself capable of receiving more than what was initially embedded in it. Where does the creation get such ability?

Answer: The creation can choose exactly which desire it wishes to be fulfilled with, in what measure, and in what form, and then the Creator acts in accordance with this desire.
