What Is “Back” or “Behind”?

When the Creator reveals His actions as if they are not in humanity’s favor, it is considered a descent. All doubts come to a person indirectly from the Creator. Just as with Moses, who asked to see the Creator’s face, the Creator responds, “I will show you only My ‘back,’ for it is impossible to see My face.” This means that revelation always happens indirectly, through the “back,” or through vessels.
