We Can Come Out Of The Crisis Without The Influence Of Suffering

Today the whole world is unwillingly starting to become part of one integral system, and people see that they are increasingly being governed by some sort of forces, yet they aren’t able to resist them. People are experiencing a crisis in all areas and are discovering that there is something concealed from them, yet they are unable to do anything.

We, humans, cannot control anything; we are subjugated to blind fate and we are unable to handle it. All this is making us reveal that the system of connections between us is flawed, and at the same time, that the forces governing us are concealed. We are discovering this out of our own inability to do anything ourselves.

But there’s an even greater crisis of government institutions still awaiting us. That’s because these institutions feel obliged to prove to us that they are supposedly in control of things and have power over something. People are yet to reveal that “the hearts of the kings and ministers are in the hands of the Creator,” and that none of the governments are actually able to do anything. This fact will become revealed to everyone.

If that weren’t enough, we are yet to face another powerful blow from nature, which will come in order to make us see that we are small and insignificant compared to its phenomena.

All of this will bring us to the realization that we really are part of one integral system and are unable to do anything. And then, out of this realization, we will reveal that even our thoughts and desires are not our own, but come to us from nature. Nature controls us from within and from without in every regard. We will then feel that we are bound in chains, and will start looking for a salvation.

This may happen under the influence of suffering, or through the wisdom of Kabbalah, which enables us to forestall the suffering. Either way, we will have to reveal the system of forces in which we exist, as well as what it is doing to us and what its purpose is.

So let’s already start by imagining that we are the experiment of the Upper Force, which is now revealing Its plan to us. Humanity will have to reveal this fact, either out of despair, because it is influenced by painful blows, or as a result of disseminating the wisdom of Kabbalah. Clearly, the latter is a much better path.

The revelation of the entire system of relationships, the entire matrix of connections between us and the Upper, Governing Force of Nature – the Creator, is what constitutes the wisdom of Kabbalah. The entire wisdom of Kabbalah talks only about this.

Giving And Receiving In The Spiritual World (Advanced)

A question I received: You often mention that everyone has to attain the quality of bestowal. But when someone’s giving, it means that someone else is receiving, doesn’t it?

My Answer: Yes, but the person that receives does so in order to give, in order to please the giver with his reception. The balance you speak of remains, but on another level, free of reception.

I am taking from you because my action gives you the opportunity to show your love to me. In that case, my response is not called reception, since I am doing it for your sake.

The spiritual system works according to the principle where you don’t receive anything from anyone; all you can do is give. You give to everyone. You fulfill them and they are pleased to receive from you, because that way they can demonstrate their quality of bestowal to you. When a person receives in this case, he is actually giving. That is to say, he offers others an opportunity to give to him.

In our egoistic world, family members who love one another can establish a similar kind of relationship, where each one indulges the other by acting the way the other one wants.

But that’s still a small, animate level. In the spiritual world, however, such relationships make us similar to the Creator, because we bestow and are able to boundlessly receive from others in a reciprocal relationship.

Then each one of us and all of us together become “conductors” of endless information and energy through the entire creation.

The Difference Between Inner Light And Surrounding Light (Advanced)

A question I received from my student: How does the Surrounding Light affect us? Can it be felt or is it an exclusively spiritual phenomenon that is not expressed in the corporeal senses in any way?

My Answer: We don’t sense the Surrounding Light itself, just as we don’t sense radio waves, for instance. That is why it is called “Surrounding,” because it shines on us in a concealed way, and its action is invisible to us. We only feel the outcome of its activity.

If I feel that some force is openly helping me and I can clearly sense where it comes from, it is called the “Direct Light.” If, however, I cannot envision the source from which it stems, it is called the “Surrounding Light.”

But we shouldn’t think that because the Light is called “Surrounding,” it means that it exists somewhere outside of us. It is inside of us! It’s just that when a phenomenon is felt together with its root, it is called the Inner Light, and we are able to construct an image of its source. But if, inside one’s qualities, one cannot yet construct an image and its likeness to its source, then this Light is called “Surrounding.” One already senses it in nine out of one’s ten qualities, but cannot yet identify it for what it is and where it originates in the Creator.

Change Yourself And You Will See A Gleaming World Full Of Light

A question I received: You’re saying that people shouldn’t correct the world, but only themselves. But what can I do if I see that half the people I know don’t want to correct themselves, wishing only to lead the life of an animal? How can I correct myself?

My Answer: You have to correct yourself until you stop seeing that people lead the life of an animal. Instead of feeling sorry for these people, feel sorry for yourself for seeing them the way that you do. The moment you correct your vision, you will see these people as happy and successful. If you change yourself, you will see them in a completely different way! Someone that appeared unhappy to you will turn out to be joyful and happy. You will see a wealthy man instead of a pauper. You will see that someone whose sole interest in life was beer and football is actually a sage’s student who has attained all the worlds.

You have to grieve and lament over your seeing them as such, because the distorted picture you see is nothing but a result of your own corruption, of you looking at them with uncorrected eyes. The whole world is a reflection of what you have within. Within you are all of the vices of the world. If you see the poor, the sick and the corrupt, it testifies only to your own corruption. Otherwise you would see a world full of goodness.

If the Creator is good and does good, how can there be evil in the world? It’s all because there is no goodness inside you; otherwise you would see a gleaming world. A person doesn’t need to correct the world, but only his vision of it. There’s no one to correct but yourself. As soon as you do, you will see that the world is full of Light. It’s the World of Infinity, abundant and perfect. We can’t see it, however, because we are corrupt. It’s concealed from us behind 125 curtains, which we have to remove.

The Deepest Point Of Our Being: The “I”

Every person has a point that was created “out of nothing” by the Creator. This point is what makes a person feel individual and unique. Our entire life is a battle for this “I,” for independence and uniqueness – Midat Yehud.

A person is driven by a desire to prove himself, to feel that he exists. All the pleasure and fulfillment he feels is secondary. The most central point is to ensure that this “I” exists.

This “I” is something a person can never give away. He can give up anything else, even his life, but not his “I,” because this point is above him, and it emerged before he even gained consciousness. This is why a person has to tread such a difficult path: to renounce his previously egoistic “I” and obtain a different “I,” one that is similar to the Creator.

The Creator helps a person to change the foundation on which his “I” stands. Rather than being nourished by pleasure, one receives the energy of bestowal and rises above his egoistic “I” to his true “I.” This is how he gains true independence and the sensation of an eternal “I.” And when he returns to the point created “out of nothing,” he reaches the state of rest and perfection.

The School Of Desires Teaches Us How To Build The Spiritual World Inside Us (Advanced)

Instead of examining our desires from within, we should examine them from above, “under a microscope,” and as quickly as possible. Our objective is correction, and only this “school of desires” will enable us to reach it, or to work for the sake of bestowal.

The entire spiritual world is something we build inside us, by using our desires. We stack them up into a “hill” and then rise on top of it. And we repeat this process again and again. The hill grows, and we grow together with it, becoming more and more giving.

The result is that each of us erects Mount Sinai – the mountain of hatred (in Hebrew, Sina means hatred), in order to rise to its peak and build a king’s castle there, the Creator’s palace. We create all this out of our own, broken, egoistic desires, which are revealed inside us one after another. It is precisely by correcting these desires, and inside them, that a person reveals the reality of the Creator. Or in other words, one builds his work “for the sake of bestowal” from these desires.

Therefore, all the spiritual worlds and degrees are inside us. Everything becomes revealed inside our desires that we correct. This is because the Creator created just one common desire, and we reveal the Creator inside the forms of this desire.

The 125 spiritual degrees are not something outside of us. Their potential is instilled in our Reshimot, and each one of us must personally develop his desires from these Reshimot, work with them, and change the way he uses them. This is how one builds the spiritual world from them.

I was given a desire (matter) and Reshimot (forms). Now I must attract the Upper Light upon myself and thus connect these two components with each other. This way, I unite the Lights, the sparks, and the Kelim (in Hebrew this is called ANAHOrot, Netzutzim, Kelim). They will then form my soul, and inside it I will feel the spiritual reality. Right now I also perceive the reality inside the soul, but only in its lowest layer, called the “material world.” In order to truly reveal the soul, we must attain the Creator.

In Spirituality, Preparation Is The Most Important Time

A question I received: According to Kabbalah, humanity’s correction takes place over six thousand years. Most of this time has already passed, and there’s just a little over 200 years left.

Why have we begun to use Kabbalah for correction only now, at the very end of the allotted time period? And even now, many people still don’t have any idea about this teaching. It seems that the world will end up reaching correction through great suffering. Why did the Kabbalists begin to put so much effort into teaching and disseminating Kabbalah only in the “final minutes” of correction?

My Answer: It is because the world has only now reached its maturation, as Kabbalah predicted. The reason for this is that the most important aspect of spiritual actions is the preparation, which depends on a person and occurs inside him. This is also why it takes so long. However, the act of correction itself happens quickly because when a person is influenced by the Upper Light and the revelation of the Creator, he changes instantly. Try it for yourself!

Therefore, the remaining 230 years is more than enough. And if we’ll want to, we will be able to reduce this time.

Are You The Messiah?

A question I received: Are you the Messiah? Since no one besides you can explain what’s happening in reality so accurately and wisely, and everything you say is true, this is the conclusion that comes to mind. Who or what is the Messiah according to Kabbalah: an object, an individual, an animal, or an action?

My Answer: The Messiah is the Force of the Creator which pulls us out of our current, limited perception, when we feel only this part of the world, and into the full sensation of the world. Messiah comes from the verb Lishmoh – to pull out.

How To Pass Through The Eye Of A Needle (Advanced)

We need to search for similarity to the Creator, to imagine this quality, called “the Creator.” I want to come and see Him. After all, in Hebrew the word “Creator” (Bore) breaks down into two words: “come and see” (Bo-Re).

In essence, we are talking about the Sefirot, which are between Keter and Malchut. Keter, the highest Sefira, is only attained in the end, while Malchut, the lowest Sefira, remains an unformed desire, until we attain the eight Sefirot between them.

We always need to look for equivalence of form with the bestowal of Keter, which we try to imagine. In virtue of this, we pass through the equivalence of form and reveal the knowledge, power, and understanding of what we need to do.

In order to not get confused and to stay in the middle line, we strive for bestowal, which the Creator shows in His regard for us.

Mankind’s Material Development Is Like Slave Labor With Clay And Bricks

What is the result of all our material development, which people value so highly? What have we achieved with all of our hard work, our “Egyptian labor with clay and bricks,” as one Kabbalistic text says about the Egyptian slavery, the exile from spirituality? The result is that we are now nearing the revelation of the spiritual world and are opening our eyes to the fact that people have been doing absolutely nothing of value in this world! People are doing things that are absolutely unnecessary to anyone! Yes, they invent all sorts of crafty gadgets, but could we really not live without all these things?

The more people develop, the more time they spend on useless activities, and the more they go beyond the bare minimum necessary for life. Today, if we reverted to spending time only on the things that are vitally necessary, most of us would be left with nothing to do. Only five percent of the population would have to work in order to provide all of humanity with the necessities. Alternatively, each one of us could allocate five percent of his time to provide for his livelihood.

All the leftover time would be dedicated to our spiritual development. And why not? You don’t get any benefit from spending all your time on material things. In fact, all you are doing by this is damaging the environment.

There is nothing more for a person to do in this world other than to work on his spiritual correction. Otherwise we would have the problem of what to do with the elderly who need to be provided for.  What would be the point of taking care of them if we believe that only the actively working people are of any benefit?

Indeed, our lives must follow the opposite principle. All we need is to give every person the method for his internal correction, and then there will be a place for everyone. Every person will carry out work for the sake of infinity, because the soul has no age. And it is precisely the elderly who will make some of the biggest corrections.

The more time we spend on “clay and bricks,” the more we advance toward reaching the realization that we are in slavery. And the weight of this realization will make people cry out to the Creator and thus rise to the “human” level. And that is the only benefit that we will get out of all our material development.
