As any other science, Kabbalah is based solely on experiment. Look at a little human being, how he grows—this is how we used to develop in the past.

Over the course of millennia, we continuously summarized all of our observations and gradually turned them into the sciences. However, all of them are based solely on experiment, and nothing more. These experiments comprise the foundation of all sciences.

If something is not tested experimentally, it is not a science. It could be a product of your imagination, and another person could come up with something else. Only strictly recurrent data, results of experiments, can be turned into a science.

Suppose today I’m in my lab and I study a certain property or phenomenon. Consequently, I write an article for a scientific journal about the behavior of the phenomenon under question. Later, the results presented in the article are tested in other laboratories and places, and scientists write their feedback. Science is made up of all these elements.

This is how it was over the course of millennia. But today, we do not develop the science of Kabbalah, but rather apply it.

As of today, the wisdom of Kabbalah is already explicated, set out on paper. We have nothing to add, except for the materials that we write to help ourselves and people like us. That is, suppose there is certain upper physics, and then it is written out for students, for schoolchildren, for laymen, or for various practical applications. The same applies to Kabbalah.

Today we read The Book of Zohar, the works of the ARI, which are set forth and commented for us in the books of Baal HaSulam. Essentially, we have nothing to add to this. There are also articles and letters, meaning other material which we received from Baal HaSulam. Practically, this is it.

Beside this, we can only write about what we observe, see, in ourselves so as to assist other people who advance together with us or will follow us. That is, we do not develop the science, but adapt it for those who will come to it.

In its research, science relies on our bodily senses. However, if we change our inner properties and come out of our ordinary five senses, we will be able to see a different world, research it, and discover a new science.

Therefore, the wisdom of Kabbalah is an addition to all sciences of the world because it includes precisely what we will see if we change our properties.

Kabbalah brings the entire creation to a single form. As a science it is based on one simple principle: desire, matter, and the Light, the form clothed in matter.

If you study them you will understand the entire nature and all manifestations, as in the particular so it is in the general, as in our world so it is on all levels of the upper worlds. One principle acts everywhere. Kabbalah is a universal science. If you follow it, you can always determine where you exist and what manifestations and effects you observe.

With its help, you can research the macro and micro worlds where you have only one principle: ten Sefirot. You can delve into them at the level of the finest details, or you can study them in general. The same laws will act everywhere!

In our world all sciences drastically differ from one another: biology, botany, astronomy, etc. We have a hard time drawing a parallel between them. However, if we take a single basis: the vessel and the Light, then only one law remains. The difference is only in the depth of the desire (the level of Aviut).

The same events always happen in it, but they will differ based on the thickness/coarseness of the matter, and as a result they demonstrate the same phenomena in parallel sciences like physics, chemistry, biology, zoology, etc.

The sciences concern matter at different levels (2, 3, 4), biology, zoology, geography, etc. The same forms appear in the inanimate nature, in animals, and in plants. The process is the same everywhere and the Light is imprinted in matter the same way. However, we perceive the same form differently because the matter is different.

Therefore Kabbalah is the most universal science. We have to destroy the stereotypes of ignorance which states that Kabbalah is not a science, but rather mysticism and meditation full of secrets.

Every science is a language. However, in regular science you explain your attainments on the same level as you attain them (in the same world), whereas using the language of Kabbalah you explain what you attain in relation to the root. This is the difference between regular science and the science of Kabbalah. You record any phenomenon that you study and attain in this world on the same level that you attain and research it. However, in Kabbalah you do not attain matter itself, but its connection with the root. This is the most important thing!

Baal HaSulam writes the following in the article, “The Teaching of the Kabbalah and Its Essence”: …physics is mere knowledge of the arrangements of a particular kind existing in a particular world. It is unique to its subject, and no other wisdom is included in it.

This is not so with the wisdom of truth, since it is knowledge of the whole of the still, vegetative, animate, and speaking in all the worlds with all their instances and conducts, as they were included in the Creator’s Thought, that is, in the purpose. For this reason, all the teachings in the world, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, are wondrously included in it….

The connection with the root is unique to the science of Kabbalah. That is what enables it to include all the other sciences in itself. You can explain the qualities of a certain matter at this moment or the connection between phenomena, but this does not explain the essence of things and phenomena.

A person comes to Kabbalah after awakening to the need to learn the concealed upper force, the purpose and the reason for his existence, and the meaning of his life. As he goes through stages in his spiritual development, a person reaches a critical point and begins to think about the ways to attain the spiritual world. Previously he used to think that spirituality could be attained with what he has, meaning the five senses, the mind, and the regular perception of reality.

But at a certain stage, one begins to feel that the spiritual world cannot be revealed this way and that to do it, he needs to change himself. That’s when he remembers a famous saying: “I created the evil inclination and the Torah for its correction, because the Light contained in it returns one to the Source.”

Every person envisions the spiritual world in his own way. The wisdom of Kabbalah defines it as the property of love and bestowal where a person comes out of his egoistic properties and begins to reveal the higher reality in the properties of bestowal that are opposite to his.

Kabbalists explain that it is necessary for us to develop the property of bestowal, that is, to perform the correction of the heart (desire). This means that if right now our desire works to receive, we need to change it so as to perceive the desires of others like our own. The entire method consists of correcting our ego, which desires to consume everything, through developing a sense above it, which means to come out of our desire.

By the time I came to study Kabbalah, I already had over twenty years of education. I was a scientist and an entrepreneur, whereas all of the Kabbalists who I happened to study with were simple people. I remember having a conversation with Rabash when he told me that he began his employment as a blacksmith assistant, then was a shoemaker, and at the end of his career he worked at a tax collector’s office. Yet, I was convinced that I would be able to attain more with my mind. It took me time to understand that Kabbalah is a science of feelings and that we need to correct our heart.

The wisdom of Kabbalah explains that the mind awakens in us only to the extent of the heart employing it. The heart wishes to know what it is feeling and why, where feelings come from, and how they can be changed. And then the heart employs the mind.

It is a known fact that our mind works better when we are facing problems and misery. The need that arises develops the mind. Thus, the function of the system called “mind” is to help us fulfill our desire.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is a science of developing the feeling of love. In other words, I need to attain an ability to connect with everyone else’s desires or needs and accept them as my own. My concern for the needs of another as my own is called my love for him. This bears no relation to receiving fulfillment or pleasure from someone else, but on the contrary, my pleasure will come from fulfilling others.

People who start studying Kabbalah acquire new feelings in the heart which enable them to gradually begin to understand that in reality there is infinite fulfillment and pleasure from being able to come out of one’s own self and fulfilling others. This gives a person an incessant and unlimited opportunity which suddenly reveals a new perception of reality, a new horizon to him.

This is because a person who comes out of himself and begins to feel the needs of others instead of his own ceases perceiving himself, and gradually comes to a state when he no longer needs to take care of himself. When we find the property of bestowal, we receive the fulfillment there and acquire the upper world through it, becoming like the Creator.

Question: How is Kabbalah different from psychology which also teaches people how to connect with each other?

Answer: In its practical study, psychology is correct and is included within Kabbalah. The wisdom of Kabbalah contains all the knowledge about the nature of this world. It talks about everything that is happening from the beginning to the end of creation, and for this reason includes in itself all of the sciences of this world. It is just that Kabbalah does not describe them in detail because it does not set such an objective for itself.

Psychology, as practical observation of certain types of behavior in our world, has been correct until today. But today its ability to hold the line is questionable since we are entering a completely new global world. A global system is starting to act upon us, which does not consider each separate individual or his personal relationship with another, but accesses everybody in connection to all others and all others in connection with each and everyone.

We do not know how to approach the world in this way. We have no science which could explain such an approach to us.

We couldn’t develop a science about the behavior of analog, global systems and about the laws of existence of all of their components because we ourselves were different inside. A person can only develop the forms which are present inside him, inside his nature.

But if I do not feel my connection to others, I will not be able to develop a science about it. This is the whole problem! And now we are entering a world we know nothing about. Absolutely nothing! And we will not find out anything about it until we organically feel connected to everyone.

So it turns out that now only Kabbalists are able to develop a science for us about this ordinary, earthly reality which is now being revealed to us, and no one else. Everyone else will seem to be completely helpless and will not know what to do with all of the problems and catastrophes coming up. No specialist will be able to offer anything: neither a psychologist, a physicist, a mathematician, nor a biologist.

We will suddenly begin to realize that our current science in its entirety will slowly cease to work in this new state. This is because a new, integral network of forces is acting upon us, which take into account the general connection of everyone with all.

Do you understand the difficult situation we find ourselves in? That is why we need to circulate the science of Kabbalah as fast as possible so that people realize what lies ahead. If there will just be a small urge forward, a minimal amount of agreement and understanding, at least some knowledge and desire to understand, this will change the whole picture and make life easier for the world.

And now, a typhoon is approaching Australia, and what can people do? Only cry. They are trying to fortify their houses, to hammer some more nails into the walls, but will that really help against the raging elements?

My first profession was cybernetics. I discovered this science about integral systems for the first time thirty years ago when I tried to learn about how the human body works. Even then I understood that it is impossible to study the heart separately, or the kidneys, liver, or brain by themselves because everything is interconnected into one system. However, we are unable to study this in the form of a single system.

Everyone understands this problem, but no one is able to build the appropriate examples, formulas, schemes, graphs, and diagrams in order to connect all of the functioning into one. Back then I could not understand why this is so. I only saw that it is impossible.

Only when I completed all of my other searches and came to the science of Kabbalah did I receive an answer. The entire problem is that we ourselves are not this way. We are all egoists in our mind, sensation, and desire, and that is why we cannot build and research global systems, which are built upon bestowal. After all, we always aspire in the direction of ourselves, and not from within ourselves to the outside.

Let us hope that by attaining this science, we will learn to study the new world that is being revealed in our day. As children we spent 15-20 years studying in order to become acquainted with the world into which we were born. Likewise, today it is worthwhile to spend some time attaining this new world in which all of humanity is being born today. Everyone will benefit from this.

We are trying to realize these laws in our organization, among our two million students across the whole world, including in families, the upbringing of children, and everything else. I very much hope that you will also meet them. This regards everything, starting from the personal, family life between husband and wife and their children, through the scope of an entire nation, up until the whole world.

After millennia of concealment, the science of Kabbalah is only now beginning to be revealed. We see how in our modern world everything changes so quickly that it is impossible to keep up. But the problem isn’t even the rate of development, but rather the fact that a completely different, qualitative development has begun.

In the past we developed inside our egoistic desire which constantly grew, becoming greater and greater, and it was clear to us that the future would hold the same things as before, only on a bigger scale. Now, however, we have made our way into a situation where development is not simply multiplying and accelerating, but is becoming global.

In the past every part of the system developed independently, and that is why we somehow coped with each of the parts. Yet development in the common, global system where all the parts are interconnected takes place absolutely differently. And because of our nature we are unable to cope with these problems since we are egoists and individualists inside. We do not have a global approach and perception. Therefore, we are unable to work with the integral system.

These two kinds of systems also exist in technology: numeric/discreet and analog. The difference between them is vast. In the beginning of my professional life I studied various systems in the human body and saw how much they differ. One part of the system works discretely and closed inside, but afterward when all the parts unite together, they work integrally by an analog principle.

We know how to research and create analog systems. This is the principle by which all of our devices are structured and systems are built. But we are unable to cope with integral systems. We do not understand them because their beginning and end are connected into one, and such a system does not work sequentially from beginning to end, but all of it operates simultaneously.

To supplement all other existing sciences that study isolated, discrete systems, the science of Kabbalah works with global, integral systems. That is exactly why it is being revealed now in order for us to find out how we can survive in this global world that is being revealed to us.

Question: What is “the Light that Reforms,” the miraculous force (Segula)?

Answer: The force that I want to attain is now influencing me from afar. I haven’t reached it yet, but it already shines on me from afar to the degree I aspire to it.

Inside of us there are pairs of informational genes (Reshimot): ones from the Light (Reshimo de Hitlabshut) and ones from the desire (Reshimo de Aviut), with the Reshimo from the Light always being a level higher. For example, I can have Reshimo 0/1 (Shoresh de Aviut and Aleph de Hitlabshut) where Aleph de Hitlabshut is my next level. This Reshimo lets me feel some sort of aspiration to this future level—that I desire it!

Aleph de Hitlabshut is the Surrounding Light that shines for me if I awaken a desire within me on this Reshimot of Aleph de Hitlabshut. I already have some kind of vestment (Hitlabshut) of this Light—something from the next level! That’s because Reshimot from the Light are always a level higher than the desires: 0/1, 1/2, 2/3, and so on.

This informational data (Reshimot) have remained in us from our descent from above downward. They are completely tangible and scientific notions and qualities, precisely expressed through numbers and changing discretely to the degree I ascend from one level to the next while realizing Reshimot.

By working with my current Reshimo I awaken the Light on a higher level because in my Reshimot I have a part of the future Light. We descended from Above downward in such a way that we retained a connection between the levels: the lower part of the upper level is immersed in the upper part of the lower.

This is a completely precise system. We call its action “a miracle” (Segula) because we are unable to check it in our desires or instruments of perception right now. For now these desires are only growing by virtue of the Light we attract. But all of this is precise physics and not some sort of magic tricks or prayers about what might or might not happen.

If you activate this system precisely as Kabbalists explain, then you turn on its mechanisms. You are inside of this system and you turn on this machine so it would work on you. This is what you are being taught.

You don’t have to go until the very end to see the results. You gradually begin to see the proof of what you study. Even if you haven’t attained the spiritual sensation yet, you already notice how on this path you open up your inner world, your sensitive perception, mind, and the knowledge of the interconnections in reality. You begin to notice this even in relation to the material world and you understand how childish the behavior is of other people around you and how confused they are.

Question: How do you envision a Kabbalistic school?

Answer: Humanity has to reveal that upbringing has to be based on allowing a person to understand that he exists in a common, integral, global system and that he has to treat the world based on its laws. If he doesn’t take them into consideration, then he will not be able to succeed in anything, even in the simplest things.

We have developed all of the existing systems and all of the natural sciences based on our egoistic nature. But now we have to develop a different kind of science, the science of the new world— the science of Kabbalah. This is because the more we reveal the mutual connection among all parts of the world, the more this will require us to have a new attitude to it.

No one will be able to follow the previous calculations: not in physics, nor in chemistry, nor in construction. And that is because the laws will become integral and this will be evident in everything!

We observe nature, but we have no idea how it will behave. We don’t have an ability to find out what will happen because we ourselves are not integral. For now we are still able to make some kind of forecasts using our previous premises, but very soon we won’t be able to anymore. That’s because we are unable to properly treat the altruistic (integral, analog) system based on our egoistic (numeric, singular) system.

These are completely different systems, having a different analysis, decision making, and control, similar to systems that work on alternating or direct current. They cannot work on both simultaneously.

Therefore, we will have to renew all of our sciences that were created by our egoistic qualities in the individual perspective of the world, and upgrade them according to the new forces of the single system that are being revealed in the world. This will affect absolutely all areas of our activity. Otherwise we won’t know how to do anything in our world! The world will start behaving according to the Upper System which descends or becomes revealed inside of our system, from within this world.

Therefore, unless we give children knowledge about this new system, they won’t be able to understand the new approach to all the natural sciences! All sciences talk about connections and interactions among forces and qualities in nature, and these will start being expressed as ever more corrected and interdependent. As such, they can only be understood by someone who will be on their level through the inner organization of his thoughts and desires.

I suppose that the process of learning will take place in the whole world over the Internet. All the different kinds of discussions and interactions among children will take place in order to teach them how to live in society, and this will happen in groups.

I think that school as it exists today where children come to class to listen to the teacher, will gradually die out. More and more attention will be devoted to unity among the children. And they will be taught special subjects by means of the Internet.

Question: I would like to ask about the scientists who discovered Kabbalah through external science.

Answer: Over thousands of years many scientists including Plato and Aristotle came to Kabbalah. We can’t even imagine to what extent all ancient scientists were connected to one another and knew Kabbalah.

Newton learned Hebrew in order to study Kabbalah; he has entire works and articles based on it. Kabbalah isn’t an ancient, outdated science. In reality, it is a well-known science with the exception of the last couple of hundred years when instead of dealing with real science, the scientists got involved with technology.

Some scientists attained Kabbalah due to the fact that they studied from the ancient Kabbalists. This is especially true for the scientists who lived from around 800 years BCE until the Common Era. During these 700-800 years many external scientists came to Kabbalists to study. This is when philosophy and all other sciences came about.

The scientists of the Middle Ages arrived at this on their own. They didn’t have the practical attainment of Kabbalah, but felt what this wisdom really was. They had no one to learn from because at that time everything was concealed. From the 16th century CE and on, Kabbalah started to become revealed once again.

We know that the Ramchal, a great Kabbalist of the sixteenth century, opened Kabbalah centers throughout all of Europe. Parallel to him, a great Kabbalist Abraham Abulafia literally “furrowed” the entirety of Europe in spreading Kabbalah and even taught it to a Roman Pope. They went to all extents in order to speed up the correction process.

However, these “external” scientists achieved everything mostly through their own effort. They felt that Kabbalah is a source of general knowledge, but no more than that. Although in their works we can see genuine admiration of Kabbalah, I don’t feel that they attained it internally. However, what they did is a great feat.
