Answer: Our task is to advance this point before it appears naturally. This can be done if we explain and demonstrate the evil we’re heading toward, the forced state in which we are, and how this forced state can be corrected to conscious good development. This is not only the recognition of evil, but also a correction.

Here, we need to play on a very simple, basic human feeling, our attitude toward children. We still have some predisposition left for that, although it’s far from what it was, let’s say, fifty years ago. Today, there’s a noticeable emptiness and coldness in relationships between parents and children, but a certain basis for that still remains.

In addition, we can work through mass media and celebrities. We need to introduce integral upbringing and self-education to the world as a fashionable trend so that it would be respectable, give a person honor, exaltation, respect, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging to an elite movement.

Question: Is man a rational being after all?

Answer: This is a big question. In our time, the consciousness of mankind is aimed at self-destruction. Today we are not rational in any regard.

We call it a “crisis,” but I would call it something else. These are sequential steps towards self-destruction, just like a rabbit that moves straight into the jaws of a snake as if it were hypnotized, and there is nothing it can do about it. Hypnosis pulls him forward, and he must come to it. I do not consider this to be a rational approach to life.

Today we are simply slaves to our egoism. It has reached its maximum, and it rules over us without any subtleness or other calculations and leads us towards self-destruction so we would finally reach the realization of evil.

I cannot say if this will be reached through enormous suffering. This depends on the people, on the dissemination of the method of integral upbringing and education.

But our current development is not rational. We neither see anything rational in our consumption, communication, arts, sciences, nor in their use.

We see that money rules everything. Mass media is above politics, government, the judicial system, reward and punishment: All are ruled by money. And this is absolutely not rational! This is a purely egoistic category, which does not exist in nature!

We could understand it if it were done for power, knowledge, and fame. If wealth were synonymous with power, fame, and knowledge, then this would be a different story, but it is simply wealth for the sake of wealth. It is beyond the limits of corporeal values and categories. It is becoming something virtual.

Question: Today, our planet is swept with an unconscious instinctive need for destruction. How can we stop this? For example, a person who is destroying himself with alcohol reaches a certain point where he either perishes or changes radically and begins to lead a normal life.

Answer: I hope that a turn for the better will happen here in the near future too. I hope that it will happen before we have completely depleted the entire planet and annihilated most of its population, after which not even the skeleton of the ruins will remain, like in science fiction movies about the future where people roam the Earth like primal creatures, feeding on some roots, after having survived this catastrophe, the bifurcation.

To make this positive turn take place as soon as possible, we’re trying to disseminate the method of integral education and upbringing. But, frankly, we haven’t found sufficient support among the general public; we have little strength. So I cannot say that I feel a deep sense of satisfaction.

However, I don’t believe that humanity will die out, because this isn’t nature’s intent or its course: This entire chain is built on very rational cause-and-effect constants, laws, and degrees. Therefore we won’t bring ourselves to a complete annihilation.

But we can bring ourselves to a state where the remaining tiny fraction of people that survive after all the disasters (both natural and world wars), which we ourselves will evoke, these people will nevertheless come to a balance with nature and reveal the upper nature as absolute harmony, integrality, unity, and wholeness, and they will exist on this level.

This is not an earthly degree. It’s now a degree where a person attains not the universe that we see today through our individual egoism, but a completely different picture, the full stereo image of nature. We don’t see a flat picture of creation but its depth, along with the forces that evoke this picture and govern it, and all of us together.

We will see everything that stands behind this screen, behind this theater. After all, we don’t know the forces that govern us. We don’t know what will happen in the next moment. We need to get acquainted with these forces, to reveal them. I hope that all of this will manifest itself. But it will only manifest when man will become in at least in some way similar to the integrality and wholeness of nature.

Good education is when people receive knowledge together with an explanation that they are ready to accept, because many facts that we receive without explanations, especially during our childhood years, remain in us like viruses, and it becomes impossible to get rid of them. We subconsciously use this baggage of facts and consider them to be true, even though in reality they are wrong and often get in our way.

All this happens because as children and adolescents, we were stuffed with different “irrefutable” truths without explanations. Since then, they have been imprinted within and there is nowhere to hide from them. No matter what you do, you are not in control of the things that have been imprinted in you.

And this is why everything needs to be accompanied by an explanation. There is no need to confuse people with ornate constructions based on higher mathematics—people need to receive a clear, accessible explanation, because otherwise knowledge becomes slogans or axioms, and do not advance people forward. A person needs to develop through common sense when one learns good explanations. Moreover, it is necessary to maintain adequate speed, so an excess of information would not block a person’s ability to absorb information.

Correct education is devoid of unsubstantiated facts. This is because people will not be able to use them in the right way, and it will be very difficult to rid them of this unnecessary load. It is impossible to work with facts when you do not know their causes and consequences. In this case they will not allow a person to create a common picture of reality. Instead, a person treats them as strict laws.

Meanwhile, there are no laws at all in reality: We create them ourselves. Once I am born, necessity pushes me to begin to form a picture of the world, connecting its parts together. This is because we come from a breaking, and our entire reality consists of putting together a mosaic of its parts on all the levels, as deep as it goes, from this world to the world of Infinity, constantly adding new quality and quantity of traits. After all, this picture is multidimensional.

So, when I give a person an ultimatum regarding the way he should put together certain parts, I send him down the wrong path, and he continues to follow directions since he does not know how to make analyses and draw analogies. Instead of giving him prepared answers and naked facts, I need to give him a study technique, a method, a guide for action.

This is why modern education is collapsing. This is because we are molding “soldiers,” skilled “workers,” rather than creative people who know how to put together pieces of a mosaic.

Question: You cannot just confine yourself to facts, even if they are true?

Answer: The facts are not the problem. A person needs more than knowledge: He needs to develop his mind, put together things that no one has put together before. He needs to have an approach, a new program instilled in him, which allows him to independently form a picture of reality in him.

A child will not learn through forced actions: This gives a very limited effect. When I tell him something, I must explain why this is the way it is. Otherwise I introduce another “virus” into him, and he will not be able to rationally use this “truth” that is imprinted in him. Caused by a certain context, it will keep emerging in his subconscious until the end of his life, and only the death of the body will put an end to this.

Question: During the period of concealment, we also use slogans that we do not understand. Why are these not “viral” to us?

Answer: That is true, Kabbalah has its own “mottos”: “There is none else beside Him,” “Good who does good,” “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” etc. However, they come from a higher degree and cannot come to us in any other form. We “swallow” these viruses, artificially try to shape ourselves in accordance with them, and thus we attract Reforming Light. And it corrects and lifts us, providing us with a new understanding of the world, a new mind and a new feeling.

On the other hand, in our world, we swallow false facts instead of acquiring common sense, and this does not allow us to move forward by combining all the parts, studying the right picture of the world, and developing on its basis.

After all, I can be independent in our world, while I will never be able to enter spirituality on my own. On the contrary, I must try to realize the laws of the spiritual world in me, connect to them to the extent of my abilities, and then the upper Light will lift me there.

This way, positive instead of negative “viruses” operate in the spiritual world: Be near great people, exalt your friends in your eyes, and constantly strive towards the Light, which you know nothing about. All these things are not facts in my perception; nevertheless, receiving them from the spiritual world is beneficial.

In our perception, even Kabbalah books are “viruses.” They speak of things that we cannot feel, see, or hear. However, I study these texts in order to want to rise with their help. Let these “viruses” strike me so I would become infected with love. And then I will come to it.

Question: Is there a way to avoid reaching the point of catastrophic bifurcation and to turn to a good path in time?

Answer: A smart person is one that can foresee a future outcome, and because he’s able to see it so clearly, he’s able to change the present. For instance, a person wants to do something that will bring him instantaneous pleasure; however, seeing that this action will result in future suffering, a person will annul the urge for this pleasure, he will become cautious, and will have the strength to overcome the urge.

For example, if a drug addict would see the future picture that his drug use would lead to, it would convince him to give it up.

This is why people need to be shown the picture of the horrible future, even though scaring people isn’t what we want. It’s very difficult to present such information, but since people are closing their eyes to what’s going on, it is necessary to find suitable means of informing people of the threats. So now there are more and more films on this subject.

I hope that reason will prevail. I see it actually happening in our awareness of the nature of evil, although I would like to see it happen more quickly. But only a vision of a threatening future and fear can help a person, nothing else will stop him.

Question: There are two forces: One force leads to unity and goodness and the other toward destruction and death. Right now, humanity is irreversibly heading for a point of bifurcation where we need to stop, because we cannot go on like this any further. If things go the natural way, would that be catastrophic?

Answer: Yes, it would be a natural and social catastrophe, which means wars. If we continue to stubbornly go against nature, then on the one hand, it would evoke a variety of natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, and so on, and on the other hand, it would trigger in us such internal strain and pressure that a global nuclear war would erupt. This is the natural course of events without our conscious awareness.

But if we reveal this point in advance through mass media, through all kinds of possibilities, then we can move it forward. This should be done not when it’s already inevitable and we enter a state of great conflict, but while we are anticipating everything and feel it in advance as though this point already exists now, and then we can start changing ourselves and society.

This can be achieved only by disseminating the truth about our state and direction: what are we heading toward, what force is leading us forward, and about the inevitability of coming to that precise state. Actually, people are already talking about it, though very little.

And most importantly, there’s a method of correction that allows us to change what exists today. By the way, the method itself is painless, without drama. A person won’t need to break him or herself.

A person comes to a group and engages in it under the influence of a gentle, kind, and friendly environment, attends it like a simple psychological workshop in a university. And within a few sessions, he begins to feel how he himself and his view of the world change.

So, nothing dramatic happens to a person. He or she simply, easily, and comfortably begins to acquire a new system of knowledge and perception of the world.

If the environment surrounding a person is integral, there will be a society built on top of specifically equal circumstances. Naturally, there are no equal people, but specifically equal circumstances will serve as a connection among them: friendly and equal, creating integral fields of communication around them where a person will feel as a part of the whole even if this feeling gradually disappears as the feeling of the whole will start prevailing.

Then a person begins to perceive the world in a holistic way. And he will treat everything else outside of his small society as a whole, and he will be able to perceive the world correctly and interact with everything in a proper way.

Today, we feel not only the world around us as inverted, hostile, and threatening, but also our own nature as hostile because egoism puts us into these states, and we can’t tame or destroy it.

We are exhausting natural resources, although we know that in another 20 years they will be depleted. And what will happen then? It’s not important. The main thing is to take advantage to the maximum in order to accumulate “green paper” in the bank. So where is the clever approach here? We manufacture millions of plastic items to throw them out in the garbage a few months later, and then oil with which we manufacture this plastic will be gone, but we don’t even think about that.

All of these hostile manifestations of internal and external nature toward us force a person “to shrink” and hide in some corner. He cannot control either this nature or another, either his own or the external one.

Thus, we find ourselves in need of crossing the bifurcation point. It adds up, specifically, to the recognition of evil in our nature that positions us against the external nature and doesn’t allow us to consider everything wisely, correctly, and sensibly. The ego forces us to be attracted to wealth, honor, knowledge, and control, and we utilize it only in a harmful way.

All of this is the revelation of the damage resulting from what has happened to us in the past 30-40 years. Until then we had developed correctly: People used nature when it was really necessary. I remember that the warranty on the first refrigerator that I bought was 18 years! Today nothing like that exists! Today everything is made on purpose, so that the product will break down as soon as possible. Even if is not out of order you will be called to replace the old for the new at a discount.

It turns out that we crossed the border of the correct attitude to life, to the world, and to nature. And we need to recognize our bad relations to ourselves, to others, and to nature. And only after that will it be possible to talk about the fact that there is a system of reaching harmony.

It will reveal a huge whole world to us that isn’t built on opposites, on absolute slavery and total freedom, but on the correct middle line, which means that everything will be balanced. Then we will see that this is specifically the way that nature functions.

Thus, I think that communications will finally change, the pendulum will shift, the amplitude of its oscillation that deviates in the opposite direction from the original state will come to its middle. Then we will begin to operate mutually, and not through communication devices, but through direct, internal communication with each other, not verbally, not externally emotional, but by creating a mutual field of communication. We have these aptitudes for which we don’t need any devices. We will simply feel everyone and everything as one collective whole.

Question: There are societies and public institutions: the police, army, schoolteachers, and so on. There is a deviant institution that is not recognized, but it’s there: It’s the criminal world, living by its own laws.

Does the proposed integral system mean building a new institution?

Answer: No. We propose an integral methodology as the inclusion of all these institutions as necessary elements. Let all these institutions, including the criminal, exist if it is needed in society, and through it, society will clean, protect, or, conversely, change itself. Whatever exists in society, there is a place for—everything. There are cops and robbers. One cannot be without the other.

By the way, the teaching of integral education is successfully carried out in prisons in the United States. Prison authorities are quite happy about this; they accept all our materials and write grateful letters. Imagine receiving a thank-you letter from the warden of a 5000-inmate prison!

Prison management sees inmates gradually become men, not beasts. Typically, people in prisons become brutalized. In a few weeks, the conditions there can make any normal person the same as everyone else there because the environment affects everyone. And here a miracle occurs: The situation suddenly becomes steady, comfortable, and easy. Violence and all kinds of problems disappear.

Therefore, we want to enter into all sectors of society. We are not interested in whether you are a thief or a police officer. We are interested that you pass a course in integral education and become different in your “institution,” in your community. Thus, all the structures from legitimate to criminal will begin to change.

We don’t tell them how to change the institutions. The whole environment will change through the changes within people. Just as human egoism created all kinds of institutions, from legal to criminal, its integral egoism will change all that.

Question: Let’s suppose that a person faces a confrontation between personal and social interests. In what way will he be able to cancel it?

Answer: There’s no need to cancel anything. We don’t need to break ourselves! We only need to take part in workshops where you will gradually get used to discussing everything together with everyone and reaching a common denominator. Moreover, this common denominator is very interesting.

When we gather around the round table and begin a discussion, suddenly inside, between us, a new force is created, which is not just the sum of our yearnings for agreement, but something much higher than us, a result of our efforts to integrate into one another. It’s revealed as something independent that is born from within our efforts, a new force that is one level above us in intelligence, in significance, in importance, and attractiveness. We already don’t want to leave it, to remove ourselves, or to be detached or distanced. Thus, it turns out that through this mutual force, through this feeling of unity that is created, we can solve many problems. We suddenly begin to understand in what way everything around us operates.

We weren’t wearing these integral glasses before. We didn’t see nature in this way or society and all the problems. We saw them in a purely egoistic manner, narrowly, and therefore, we didn’t find solutions because we would escape into our small ego, each one into his or her burrow, and this is all that existed.

However, when we begin to look through our integral component, all of a sudden the solution appears. Suddenly appears a state that really gives a solution to everything, and a person only needs to position himself correctly with respect to all his problems. And it turns out that they aren’t problems. They were problems when you weren’t adapted to them since you were an egoistic individual. And now you are not. Even though you remain within the ego, you are not an individual any more, and thus the problems are solved.

We need to give a person the feeling of the possibility solving everything though “we,” which reveals completely different horizons. We need to bring people to this state. We don’t need to convince them of anything; we don’t need to use force and talk about the change that will occur in them. There won’t be a change, but there will be a rise to completely new possibilities.
