Question: Can we say that by virtue of the common efforts we made in the Arava desert and at the Convention, we were able to find a place and lay the foundation for the Third Temple?

Answer: In Hebrew, “Temple” is “the House of Holiness,” where “House” is Malchut, and “holiness” is Bina. Malchut that is connected to Bina, having received its qualities and having its own Partzuf, is called “the House of Holiness.”

This House is built by the group, or in the language of primary sources, by the “holy society.” This is talking about a society that wants to advance and acquire the force of bestowal. It is able to build the House of Holiness.

As a whole, there is one, common soul and we are trying to assemble it from broken parts. Our inner Kelim, corresponding to Galgalta ve Eynaim divide into three components: root, soul, body. Besides, there are also external Kelim corresponding to AHP, which form the clothing and castle.

Inner Kelim are the group, our unity. After all, in spirituality there are no single individuals, but only a society. This group builds the correction of the external Kelim for itself, also called “the Temple.”

In the past we have already done this twice—on the third and then on the second stages. Now we have to gather into a group, meaning correct the inner Kelim, and then go on to correcting the external ones. The Temple cannot be erected without a builder. Stated differently, AHP cannot be corrected if there is no Galgalta ve Eynaim.

Thus, having begun to correct ourselves, of course we have laid the foundation for the construction of the Third Temple.

The society I see before me is a place where I can form relationships in which I build the system of Malchut of the world of Infinity. Even though rejection and connection are present simultaneously, I connect these two opposite intentions.

I reject everyone, as it is written about the students of Rabbi Shimon, who felt terrible hatred towards each other and at the same time made efforts to connect. But their connection did not cancel out the flame of envy, hatred, lust, and ambition, which previously raged between them.

A big desire to enjoy and the perception of one’s independence also remain in everyone, and connection is achieved above all this. These two lines work together, one after the other. This is because everyone receives from the Light of Infinity in order to fulfill the others, not themselves. This is why their desire remains. This way we preserve the Malchut of the world of Infinity, its entire volume, which every one of us acquires.

We perceive this Malchut in us. Imagine the enormous inner volume that this collective creature, which we are creating by connecting into one whole, perceives within itself. Every one of its six hundred thousand particles feels like it is separated from all the others, and as it rises above this, it connects with them.

Everyone does this! In the end, there are six hundred thousand particles, inside of which everyone acquires the power of six hundred thousand. This is the kind of connection we achieve.

This is why we need to remember that the actions we do in relation to the society, which we see before us, are always realized in two directions. On one hand, they are meant to increase everyone’s individual egoism, which gives rise to the rejection and hatred in the relationships between us. And on the other hand, we must bring ourselves to the biggest possible connection above this egoism and try to grow this way.

We need to perceive these two states as necessary in our development and be ready to accept, experience, and develop them. We need to make rules based on this, which will become laws of existence of the society or our group charter. But all the laws and forms of behavior, the rules we establish, must correspond to the attainment of the final goal so as to guide and direct us towards it.

Question: What can we do in order to never again return into this world?

Answer: When I strive to achieve a mutual sensation between us: unity, unification, solidarity, mutual guarantee; when everyone depends on everyone else, and everyone feels the common desire born between us because a new notion came into being, a spiritual Kli, the common desire to bestow; once I find it (it already exists), then I am born on the spiritual level.

As soon as I connect to it, I enter a new world. After all, in it, in this common desire, I reveal the Light that awakens and exists in it according to the law of equivalence of form: The Light only bestows, and this desire also exists in bestowal. The more friends connect to this desire, the more they strengthen it, and then the Light can be revealed more inside this desire.

This is why being born means to connect to our common desire that already exists. Many already feel it at this convention. And those who ask this question: “How can we be born?” must simply find this new reality, the common desire. This feeling will also remain after the convention, and will be developing in every one of us.

Friends will go home, become submerged in their problems, but the same feeling we have attained at the convention will return to them because this reality is already connected to him. And the purpose of all the confusion, descents, and everything that happens to everyone will only be to once again return him to the feeling of the common desire (heart). This way a person will develop time and time again: His ego will grow by turns, and he’ll acquire a greater connection with the common desire over it. It is similar to the way the heart beats in and out.

But right now we need the very first contact between us, and I am asking everyone to find it. We have the time for this, everything happens within a fraction of a second. Make an effort! I am very glad that we have come to this state. I feel that this place is filled with a common single desire that was created here. Connect to it; it invites everyone!

Love towards friends is necessary for achieving the similarity with the upper force. To the extent that we connect with each other, we change our state.

All the time, we are in the state of creation and gradually reveal more and more of it, and thus advance. In essence, we return to the understanding and feeling of what it means to be similar to the Creator, and how to come from disparity to similarity. This is our path.

That is why, we never have bad states on the way, they are always in the direction of good. Every action, which we perform for connection, is aimed at the achieving of a good state, toward when we break the barriers that divide us, the walls of egoism, and inside the common circle reveal what happens there in reality.

Concealment, created by partitions, separating us from each other, is disappearing, and we connect more strongly. When these walls fall, which is called the end of correction (Gmar Tikkun), in our unity, we will reveal ourselves as one creature. Through this, we will achieve equivalence of form with the Creator, who is also One.

All the laws of the group and our corrections follow from here. All corrections are intended for the correction of these partitions, which should stop dividing us. And while we are all different, but despite these differences which we do not destroy, we rise above all the barriers, differences, and there reveal the Creator fully.

We are now in the final state, only this infinite spiritual state is concealed from us, and we see only a material group in front of us. But if we begin to connect with the group without any barriers that hinder our unity and connection, then it suddenly turns into a structure similar to the Creator.

The first time we can feel, instead of an average group a single formation, similar to the Creator, we discover His manifestation at least to a small measure. This means to rise above the Machsom to the first spiritual degree.

There are 125 degrees of ascent or the likeness with the upper force, the Creator, due to our connection with each other.

Question: I am trying to imagine 72 hours at the convention. How will this process bring me to the One, Unique, and Unified?

Answer: I enter the convention hall like a holy pool (Mikveh), a place that will purify and correct me. This is a place filled with holy water, the quality of Bina, the mother’s womb that I become included in and grow in. I don’t need to do anything besides settling in there like a drop of semen inside the womb. I must only cleave to it, and everything else will be done by others. I must simply become part of what is happening.

It is written, “The Creator dwells inside of his nation,” where “inside of the nation” means the place where everyone gathers and each person annuls his egoism as much as he can for the sake of uniting together. Then we reveal that there, inside of this unity, the upper one is present—Malchut, the Shechina. And inside of it—the Shochen, the Creator.

We don’t need anything else! Just come there and don’t be a smart alec. Lose your “I”: You come in and dissolve. Someone asks you to do something, so do it. Just connect to it, without any clarifications. The most important thing is to go with the common flow.

That is why the convention is appropriate for everyone, for every person. If a person can just come there, then a powerful force will arise there that will take us over and will spin us all in one whirlpool, like one whole. And we don’t need anything else. We won’t need a special mind or lengthy studies, but just that force. With it, you will already receive an impression of the upper one, of the upper level. So come!

You came there and you’re singing, dancing, eating, and preparing food, and you annul yourself before what is happening as much as you can. This will bring you to the upper level because it is there, inside, in the connection between people.

The tradition to hold mutual meals, to sing songs, and dance was established by Kabbalists. All of this leads to unity, and without unity, it’s impossible. Abraham once invited guests to his tent and first of all, he sat them down at a common meal, while explaining that it is necessary to unite and love the neighbor.

We won’t manage anything without unity. I understand that our egoism, our nature is against it. I was also opposed to unity once, and even more than you are. But that doesn’t scare me: For any egoism, there is a force capable of defeating it. Most importantly, try to be as determined as you can and set your mind to coming there and losing yourself.

Get lost in some unknown place, like a wallet that you had and is now gone. There’s just nothing you can do about it: It was there, and now it’s gone! Try it!

Question: If our entire purpose is to become like one, then why do we see the upper system separated into an infinite number of pieces?

Answer: Everything is done to bring us to be One. After all, this system originates in One and ends in One, but to cover this interval, it must go through us, work with us to give our desire to receive pleasure the form of bestowal.

This is why the upper system branches out and separates in time, movement, and space into a variety of combinations of states so as to perform this action in the end. This entire splitting and imperfection, and all the flaws that the system clothes in exist only in relation to us. Doesn’t a mother playing with her child appear silly and unreasonable if you don’t understand for whom she is acting this way? A grown woman suddenly starts talking like a baby, what is this really?

But we understand that she does it for the child. And naturally, this is a flaw in her because it is not suitable for her age and position.

The same can be said regarding the upper system: It doesn’t act for its own sake. The upper system is the world of Infinity. In general, there are no worlds without the creature. The moment the creature appears in the precise state when it awakens in the direction of the world of Infinity, that very moment the system of concealments, of weakened connections, which always follows the degrees of corruption, forms between the creature and Infinity.

The upper one is perfect, but it must lower itself to the level of the lower one so as to take care of it. But this is not like in our world when a mother takes care of her child. The upper system only begins to take care of us from our preliminary request.

Or it can awaken us secretly, as if acting from behind the scenes. But Kabbalah does not study processes that happen naturally, “in its own time (Beito),” since we will develop this way anyway. The only thing that interests us is “hastening time (Achishena).” This is why we study the system that we awaken ourselves.

Baal HaSulam, “The Arvut (Mutual Guarantee) (abridged version)“: The Torah was not given to our fathers because the commandment of “Love thy friend as thyself,” the axis of the whole Torah and around which all the commandments revolve, cannot be observed by an individual, but only through the consent of an entire nation. And this is why it took until they came out of Egypt, when they became worthy of observing it. And then they were first asked if each and every one of the nation agreed to take that commandment upon himself. And once they agreed to it, they were given the Torah.

We learn about the structure of the spiritual world, the creation of the soul, which is the only creature, and about the shattering of the soul that got divided into many parts from Kabbalistic sources like “Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah (Pticha),” “The Study of the Ten Sefirot“, and the Ari’s “The Tree of Life”. We can say that these parts of the soul also existed before, but they were merged together in one intention, in one thought, in a special state.

In the first state there was the one notion of Infinity, which included the vessel that was equal to the Light. Their equality, connection, and adhesion were provided by the power of the Light. All the souls, parts, and desires were there previously, but the Light held it all together and so they remained imperceptible.

Then the second state was created: the shattered vessel that is totally different from the Light and exists under its own authority—the desire to receive in order to receive. Thus, the shattering of the vessels brought the creature to the state of “this world.”

Finally, as the third state, the vessel once again becomes equal to the Light. We reach adhesion, but by ourselves now.

Eventually, we go through this whole process consciously, we understand and feel it. The descent into our world was prepared from Above, and the present state of ascent is the time of correction. Therefore, today we feel that we are at a very special point in history, which Kabbalists designate as “1995.” It is the border after which the general spiritual ascent of humanity begins.

Question: I cannot tie the relationship between us with what we are reading in any way. It seems as if the material we are reading is hanging in the air and has nothing to do with me. How can I tie it to myself?

Answer: At the moment, you are not feeling any connection with the material you are reading because you are not connected to the friends, to any of them. The moment you start to bestow upon someone, you will immediately understand what a Partzuf (spiritual organism), a Tzimtzum (restriction of desire), and a Masach (anti-egoistic screen) are, how to calculate with the intention to bestow, how you are connected with others through the spiritual Partzufim, and what is referred to by Ibur (conception), Yenika (nursing), and Mochin (maturity).

What is the meaning of begetting someone? I beget my attitude toward someone else. When I beget all my attitudes toward all the others, it means that I beget all the Partzufim of my Malchut, of my desire.

I beget all the Partzufim from the bottom upward, from my Malchut (desire to receive) to Keter (desire to give) of the world of Infinity. This ascent is made of ten Sefirot, and I have to beget my relationships toward the whole world within them.

How can I feel the entire world and all the people? It’s simple. The closer I get to the spiritual system, the more clearly I discover the network of connections before me. It even is said about our corporeal relationships that through six people we know, we can connect to the rest of the world. That is, we see that this is possible.

In the spiritual world, you will feel as if everyone is actually by your side. It is hard to grasp, but all of humanity is by your side. You will connect with each one, not indirectly like in our world where we discover that through six people, we can come in contact with everyone, but directly, with everyone.

It isn’t like our body in which there is a certain order and system of connections. By bestowing upon each part of the spiritual body, I connect with each one directly, like a point on a sheet of paper, folded several times, is glued closely to all the other points. I connect with everyone and bestow upon everyone, by creating the Partzufim.

Astrophysicists actually are discovering that our universe exists in this “folded” form.

A person stops experiencing death on the level of universal integration. It dissolves internally in his desires, thoughts, and feelings in the one, common, enormous thought, the single desire that we all create, and he transitions into a different state in a smooth, quiet, and nice manner.

This takes place before the death of his body because he becomes something general, something that exists in one general idea, something that shares a unified existence with nature and society. His spirit is referred to as the “human within us,” and everything else is the physical body that exists on the animate level of development.

Man the level inside us that can connect into a single unified system with others. When you begin to experience that you are locked into this system together with everyone else in your thoughts and feelings, mind and heart, then you stop feeling your body, and you feel as if you were “floating” above it. You exist in it, but you do not feel it, like in the moments of euphoria or some special sensations when one slightly “comes out of his body.”

Mutual guarantee takes a person to the next level of existence. At the same time, we connect to the collective mind, the collective feelings, when the mind and feelings become one whole, closed in together with the unified mind and feelings of the entire universe, all of nature, the entire mechanism which drives the universe and controls it.

This is the law of the evolution of the universe. We enter this law and become its active part. The attainment of this unity between us is the “human” in us. We become one with nature, and this way we rise above everything that pertains to our body.
