New Life 1103 – The Evolution Of Judaism, The Period Of Abraham

New Life 1103 – The Evolution Of Judaism, The Period Of Abraham
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Abraham understood that the power of good is not outside humanity as with the elements of nature but that it must be revealed within humanity, above the power of evil. The people of Israel evolved from the students of Abraham, a group that was directed to the discovery of this good power. According to monotheism, there is no point in praying to the forces of nature because everything depends upon balancing the power of evil in the person with the power of good. The essence of Abraham’s revolution is that one has to look within himself, believing in one inner God within man.

“Arming Ourselves Gives False, Empty Sense of Security” (Newsmax)

My article in Newsmax: “Arming Ourselves Gives False, Empty Sense of Security

The spike in hate crimes has opened the debate over the use of guns for self-defense among the American Jewish community. “We live in a time of danger,” stated the U.S. official for combating anti-Semitism, Elan Carr, in a recent conference in Jerusalem.

Carr suggested to post security guards at every Jewish temple, community center, and school in America. A rabbi in Boston backs this view, proposing that his members carry guns to the synagogue for protection. Others are already taking firearms training. It is better to be safe than sorry, but these are band-aid solutions to a problem that can only be solved from another level.

Through Jewish unity.

The deadly attacks in Pittsburgh and Poway, California prompted to reinforce security measures at Jewish facilities in the United States. Incidents against the Jewish community increased 57 percent from 2016 to 2017, the highest in 20 years and the largest single-year rise in history, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

Even though white supremacists are responsible for recent attacks and threats to synagogues, terrorism and violence inspired by Islamist extremism “continues to pose a serious threat to Americans,” says a recent report by the anti-Semitism watchdog group.

It declares that, as of June, three people have been arrested for plotting Islamist terrorist attacks which include Jewish targets.

The uneasy feeling and menace facing Jews in America are, in fact, a wake up call to reflect on our state as a nation and follow what the Torah mandates to us: to connect by the principle of “love your neighbor as yourself,” radiating that positive force globally.

Should we fail to do that, non-Jews will perceive our disunity as the cause of their problems, putting pressure on us through violent acts. Therefore, until we unite above our differences, anti-Semitism only will get worse.

Arming ourselves will simply give us a false and empty sense of security.

We currently do not realize how humanity’s unity depends on Jewish unity.

Both are deeply interrelated, as Jews have a central role in the world’s wellbeing.

As it’s written in the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar,” “Israel refers to the inner part of the world, whereas other nations are considered its outer part.”

That particular central role of Jews is also explained in that seminal text as “a man of Israel elevates his outer material part over the inner, spiritual one, the outer part (the coarse and harmful elements in the nations of the world) accordingly rises over the inner part (the righteous among the nations of the world) and calamities and wars befall the world.”

Therefore, unity should be our priority.

By getting closer to each other, narrowing the huge gap currently separating us, we will become an example to humankind. The power of unity will make any form of hatred against Jews vanish. It’s not only the strongest weapon — it is the only weapon that can guarantee peace and safety.

New Life 1101 – Power, Control, And Exploitation

New Life 1101 – Power, Control, And Exploitation
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Nature is a desire to enjoy, which can develop through aggressive or gentler means. Animals do not enjoy harming other animals. When a person activates the power of the human ego at the expense of others, it is called aggression. There is a softer way to create enjoyment for others such as when a good singer influences the audience in a positive way. It is better to advance our relationships and fully realize oneself through the power of love and friendship.

New Life 1098 – Illness And Healing

New Life 1098 – Illness And Healing
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

The source of all illness is the separation between us. We are linked to a powerful, eternal system with no way out. This social and emotional communication system affects the state of our bodies. In fact, the body is only a shadow of the common soul. If we heal our relationships, everything will heal and no one would get sick in the first place. We are nourished by spirit and a good, social environment. A universal cure for all sickness is readily available if we build a true, loving connection between us that will reveal the general, healing force of nature.

New Life 1096 – The Secrets Of Nature

New Life 1096 – The Secrets Of Nature
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Nothing is hidden in nature: everything that we discover in nature depends on the perceptive capacity of humanity. Human perception is limited within a person’s five senses which are based on the desire to receive. As we develop, a desire is awakened within a person to discover what is beyond these senses. The characteristic of bestowal is required for this stage of human development, meaning an intention to benefit others instead of ourselves. Evolution is advancing us toward building five new, spiritual senses with which we will absorb the eternity of nature and live simple, beautiful lives for the benefit of all.

New Life 563 – Racism

New Life 563 – Racism
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

We cannot hide the racism that exists in society, but we must treat it from the root. We tend to want to deny that there is discrimination because if we acknowledge it, we will be obliged to correct it. The most severe racism in Israel exists against the Ethiopians since the cultures are so completely different. The power to deal with racism can only be provided by the wisdom of Kabbalah, which is the method of connection or the method of the circle. This method teaches us how to transcend the earthly, materialistic realm and ascend to the practice of “love your neighbor as yourself.” We need to build a society without racism, worthy of being called “the people of Israel” so it can act as a model for the rest of the world.

New Life 558 – Unfounded Hatred

New Life 558 – Unfounded Hatred
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Unfounded hatred is awakened and will consume us all unless we learn to connect above it. Divisions and imbalance are revealed when people try to connect. They discover rejection and need to build bridges of love above the differences. It is impossible to connect without division and love can only exist when faced with hate. The greater the hate, the greater is the love that is built above it by adhering to the principle, “Love covered all transgressions” (Proverbs 10:12). We achieve growth, balance, happiness, wholeness, eternity, and the level of the upper force through this method.

New Life 557 –The Ethnic Demon

New Life 557 –The Ethnic Demon
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

It is good that the ethnic demon has again been awakened because in order to advance, problems must be exposed, not covered up.

Kabbalah explains that any destruction or division that manifests is an indication of humanity’s ripeness for correction. Today, we are compelled to become a single, united people; therefore, the split between us is being revealed in its full intensity. Latent in the ethnic gap is the origin of all goodness and the secret of a better future based on the principle, “Love covers all transgressions” (Proverbs 10:12). Abraham and Moses taught us how to become as one, above all the differences. Only the people of Israel can deal with the ethnic demon, overwhelm it, learn why it exists, and how to correct it by bringing the power of connection to the world.

New Life 482 – The Question That Will Change My World

New Life 482 – The Question That Will Change My World
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Asking ourselves about the meaning of life leads humanity into the discovery of a new reality based on bestowal. All of creation is one big, shared desire for pleasure. The desire is expressed differently and grows through the still, vegetative, animate, and human levels of development. Many people want to know what is hidden beyond the corporeal limits of life in our world since they no longer feel satisfied or fulfilled. Abraham studied the human ego and came to the conclusion that it was designed to help humanity to connect and lift us to a new, spiritual height. He is the characteristic of benevolence and taught people how to live according to the principle “Love your friend as yourself.” When we exchange the old paradigm of seeking out personal benefit everywhere through the exploitation of others to seeing the world through a prism of bestowal, our perception of the world changes and a new reality opens. The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how to see the true reality, to discover the program, to crystalize the goal of evolution.

New Life 265 – Overcoming Social Anxiety

New Life 265 – Overcoming Social Anxiety
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Overcoming social anxiety requires that each of us play the character of Noah by making an inner effort to put others at ease. Whether I am at work or at home, I do not do what is hated by me to others and I make room for everyone. I restrict myself and become like air that does not pressure anyone. Everyone must agree to go into Noah’s Ark together and hide there from the evil force that separates us. Today, we imitate characters from films and no longer know ourselves. We play all kinds of false characters, according to false values. We need to cleanse ourselves from this hypocrisy since it only leads to stress. If everyone plays the “Noah” game together, we will connect to a wonderful puzzle in which everyone will find his place.
