New Life 767 – The Next Level

New Life 767 – The Next Level
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Today, humanity has reached a unique state, the previous level of development has ended. On the one hand, we have immense abilities, and on the other hand, everything that we have developed works to our detriment. As a result of this, people are in despair and give up.This stage of our development is called the “recognition of evil.”

The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches why we are alive and where we must go. Our next form is the form of a “circle,” everyone living in equality, in connection, “as one person with one heart.” What we are missing today is the understanding of the goal of life, what we are living for. Later we will discover that we need to rise above the egoism toward “And you shall love your friend as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18).

When people will truly be connected with each other, each one will feel a higher, spiritual level of life. Nature didn’t create us connected from the start so that it would be possible for us to develop spiritually independently. When people are connected, their attitude toward others is as it is toward themselves, all are equal and love each other.

For thousands of years people have spoken about the general rule, “And you shall love your friend as yourself.” The wisdom of Kabbalah offers a unique method for its realization.

New Life 766 – What Differentiates A Human From An Animal?

New Life 766 – What Differentiates A Human From An Animal?
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

The essential difference between an ape and a human is that a human has a drive toward development, to change himself and his environment. We have a special program in us that requires development. The question is why does it exist in us? The truth is that we don’t know what we are living for. This question requires a solution today.

Animals have language sufficient for them, whereas human language is richer because we must transmit information about our development. Human existence above that of a beast is expressed by his discovery of the origin of his life, its reason, its goal, and the purpose of his life, and nature obliges us to investigate where we come from and where we are going.

New Life 622 – A New Year

New Life 622 – A New Year
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Why are we excited about renewal? Because we are people, not inanimate, vegetative, or animate. We are always in a state of development.

The expression, “new year” immediately arouses hope, but on the surface the situation is not very good this year. My personal expectation is that this year people will want to change their lives for the better and will be inclined to listen to the wisdom of Kabbalah.

What can bring renewal today is the discovery of the essence of life, a state which opens a door to a wonderful world. In this good world everything works differently, always advancing toward what is good and even better. It is like it was when we were children, when each and every day was full of pleasure and joy, games, and fun things.

Life today is very exhausting. Sometimes we take a breather, but from day to day we run an insane and tiring race. So many people no longer want to have children. Into what kind of a world would we be bringing them?

Changes are stressful for us because they require adaptation from us, accommodating ourselves to a new situation. In the future world that we described above, the innovations would be pleasant because they wouldn’t require effort. The possibility of opening a door to a new world depends upon our agreement to live a new life. The main condition for this new life is to live in connection with others, to become a single family.

This is against our egoistic nature, so we require a method that will develop a desire in us for connection. What will help to overcome the fear of change is a social agreement that it is impossible for things to continue like this.

New Life 621 – The Secret For A Good Year

New Life 621 – The Secret For A Good Year
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

What should we expect in the coming year? How can we make sure that the new year will be a good one and why is it actually by the revelation of evil between us that we can turn the coming year into a good one?

The new year can be a good one if we understand that the past year was a bad one. It is a time for introspection. Society is beginning to realize that this isn’t the state we have dreamed of. Evil is being revealed, and thanks to it people realize that the situation we live in is false. This is a very important step toward the truth.

We have to discover where the remedy is. It is concealed in the Torah, in its internality, in the wisdom of Kabbalah. It isn’t about becoming religious, but about the revelation of the upper force that connects us, the Light.

The goal that Israel should set for itself in the coming year is connection. Connection means being able to connect to others and to fulfill their desires. We are all parts of one system.

The world hates us because we don’t function properly. We don’t set an example of being connected. When we begin to feel that we depend on each other we will realize that there is no other choice but to learn to connect.

We are called Israel stemming from the words “Yashar-El – straight to the upper force of nature,” the force of love and giving. Once we understand that hatred destroys us and we try to connect, we will discover that we need the upper force.

The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how to use the upper force in order to correct the corruptions in our lives. Our egoism depicts all the problems, and the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how to draw the upper force that corrects it.

A good year is a year in which we will feel the upper force among us, the force of love and giving. This change is natural, like a child grows; we feel the force of nature that develops life.

We have to develop a desire for God to dwell among us, the force of love and giving, the connecting force. Once we recognize our evil state, we will reach the desire to anoint this force as our king, and this is Rosh Hashanah (the head of the new year).

New Life 620 – Holidays and Festivals: Selichot

New Life 620 – Holidays and Festivals: Selichot
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

What are the laws of nature that are represented by the Selichot (Atonements) of the month of Elul? How is it possible to discover these laws and what forces will be revealed among our people if we begin to try connect among us?

What are the laws of nature that are represented by the Selichot (Atonements) of the month of Elul? How is it possible to discover these laws and what forces will be revealed among our people if we begin to try connect among us?

The Selichot indicate the process that we must go through a process of transcending our egoistic nature. This is not a matter of asking for forgiveness from someone. What assures that in the next moment I will behave better?

It is impossible to understand what the Selichot are through looking at the popular practices, but only in the truth that is latent in them. The Israeli customs point to the hidden laws of nature. The customs provide a preparation, until we approach the truth, to the revelation of the concealed laws of nature. There are several layers in nature, laws of nature, they are the inner layer pointed to by the customs of Israel. To discover them, one must become familiar with the general formula of the system of nature we live in.

The law of Selichot says that we must examine our nature well; it is entirely egoistic. These days we can recognize the highest level to which we must climb, the “Speaking level.” On this level all of us are connected in complete harmony. But our present nature is its opposite!

Elul = “Ani Ledodi VeDodi Li” (“I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine” – Song of Songs 6:3). If I need help to love others, the upper force will come to help me.

That he should ask for forgiveness, is to not take advantage of this opportunity we had to connect. How does the mechanism of this amendment?

We should ask for forgiveness for not taking advantage of the opportunity we had to connect. That for which it is worthwhile to ask forgiveness is not having used the opportunity that we had to connect. How do we activate this mechanism of correction? Kabbalah deals with this method of connection.

Israel has a great obligation toward the world; we must lead everyone toward connection and love. The work of connecting between one another leads to the upper force that is revealed in the connections between us. It is specifically through division and hatred that we can advance toward connection, “…as far as light excelleth darkness” (Ecclesiastes 2:13).

New Life 765 – Becoming New Creatures

New Life 765 – Becoming New Creatures
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

What is the next phase in human evolution? How will the change mankind undergoes be expressed and what is our role in speeding the process of evolution?

In the past we were very interested in the prospect of exploring outer space and other stars, but we are facing a very different course of development, an internal course. We have to become new creatures.

We are facing a new qualitative type of development, the discovery of the force of life, the force of the Creator; it is our operating system. Therefore, there is no point looking for life in outer space since the future course of our evolution is already inside us.

It is all inside us so there is nowhere to run. When all the people come together we will generate the new level. Our future form is one; it has nothing to do with religion, but is actually purely scientific.

The one is above time, motion, and space, above the inanimate, vegetative, animate, and the speaking level, beyond any limit.

Our future internal form is opposite from our current form. Instead of a desire to receive, it will be a desire to give and that is the upper force of bestowal.

New Life 764 – The Search For Life In Outer Space

New Life 764 – The Search For Life In Outer Space
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

There are laws in nature and we live in them. The vegetative level developed from the level of the still by the inner evolutionary program of nature, which is the force of life, the force that creates.

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, the goal of our life is to discover this force of life called the soul, a discovery which will take us beyond the boundaries of the corporeal universe.

Even if we discover the conditions for the creation of life in space, it still doesn’t mean that they can develop.

The wisdom of Kabbalah turns on a light for us by which we can see a new higher dimension, above time, motion, and space. The spaceship by which we can reach the next dimension is internal, inside us, in our attributes.

New Life 757 – Terminology Of Love

New Life 757 – Terminology Of Love
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

The Torah tells us about the internal forces that are revealed in a person who corrects himself. Men represent the ability to draw that Light that Reforms, the force that corrects the ego into the attribute of love and bestowal. The connection between a man and a woman represents a corrected system, which means a desire to receive over which an intention to bestow has been applied. Spiritual partnership is a system in which the two forces of nature are connected, the force that receives and the force that gives.

Heroism is the ability to overcome yourself, the ego, and instead of drawing for yourself moving to love everyone. Love is the strongest egoistic desire imprinted in us resulting from the upper spiritual root. Love in our world is self-love, while in the spiritual world it is the exact opposite, love of others, love thy friend as thyself.

The term “I am love sick” refers to the great desire to fill others that is impossible to implement yet. The wisdom of Kabbalah enables us to draw the Light that Reforms that develops the desire to love and the ability to reach unconditional love.

When a person who loves others does not need to receive anything in return from the loved one since the love is whole in the two inclinations—the good and the evil—so that our whole ego works for the benefit of others. All this takes place in a group of Kabbalists who establish a connection that draws the Light that Reforms and builds the attribute of love and bestowal.

The formula for that is “love will cover all our transgressions”; the ego and the hatred grow, and above them we build love between us. A person’s soul is built of two layers, infinite hatred and above it infinite love; our evolutionary process actually leads us to hatred in order to force us to learn to love.

New Life 763 – Europe – The End Of An Era

New Life 763 – Europe – The End Of An Era
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

The European positive values ride on top of a person’s ego like an external coating, see Hitler for example. Today everyone uses nice language but only the wisdom of Kabbalah that is being revealed today can fulfill these positive ideas.

The best European values “ride” on top of the human ego like an external coating, see Hitler for example. Today everyone speaks beautiful words, but the ability to exercise them is brought only the by wisdom of Kabbalah that is being revealed today. Today people have to learn the internality of Israel, the idea and the method of connecting above egoism. The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how to use the force of connection that is concealed in nature in order to truly connect.

No real connection comes from external changes; it comes from a person’s inner change. This is a method to transcend the ego, to acquire a new nature of bestowal and love, without which we are facing an abyss. Europe thought they could create an enlightened man without internal change, but because human nature is to want to enjoy and always thinks of oneself alone, the EU has failed. It’s like getting people who hate each other to live in one apartment when it is better to stay away from each other.

Radical Islam is the common problem, but without it the Europeans were already devouring each other. Because Europe is the most developed continent, it is actually Europe where the correction and the example for the whole world can stem from. In order to find the good force in nature, we have to learn about human nature, the nature of the world, and how we develop.

New Life 762 – Europe And The Development Of Humanity

New Life 762 – Europe And The Development Of Humanity
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Greece and Rome developed barbaric Europe; their philosophy came from what they learned from the sages of Israel. They drew the power and the wisdom from Israel and when Judah fell, Rome rose. When the spiritual power that was in Israel disappeared, Rome took away the crumbs and developed Europe.

Even Christianity was born from the remnants of Judaism after the destruction and the spread of Christianity developed the Europe. The role of Europe in the development of the world was to bring spirit, religion, science, and culture. They spoke about the values of beauty, freedom, equality, brotherhood, and so forth.

But people have not really changed. Until today, Europeans have been very conservative. In general, scientific development has no relation to human development. A person can be a barbarian with an atomic bomb in his hand.
