End Of The First Episode. What’s Next?

Dr. Michael LaitmanWe have reached a point where we have completed building the global and integral egoistic system of connections. We have tied everything together as much as possible, all banks and trade; we have come full circle. Clearly these actions were driven by egoistic motivations and pressure from suffering: the desire for money, honor, and power.

Just as we have completed this global and integral egoistic system, it began experiencing breakdowns. These breakdowns evoke a sense of crisis within us. Now our actions must correspond to the method of Kabbalah and we must try to correct the relations between us as well as the way we relate to the world.

On the account of these trials we raise MAN (prayer), and the Light that Reforms becomes revealed. It creates transformations within each person’s individual egoism and changes the way he relates to others. The Light brings us into correspondence with the conditions that are being revealed to us in this global network so that we would become better suited for it.

Each time this network will reveal itself as more integral and global in the context of bestowal to one another, and each time we’ll have to work harder to influence the force from Above, which corrects us in accordance to the global network.

The force of bestowal will constantly reveal itself between us, and each one of us will have to make sure to bring himself or herself in accordance with it. First the Creator reveals the force of bestowal on His end, and then it’s up to us to change ourselves accordingly.

However, if the revelation of this network isn’t accompanied by our independent advancement, we sense it as a crisis. The situation will only worsen, up to the point where we won’t be able to trade and profit from one another, which is something that we depend on. It can get to a point where we won’t be able to sustain ourselves and then we’ll be forced to search for a solution.

All this needs to be explained from a Kabbalistic point of view because people won’t be able to solve this on their own. In this type of situation the only solution is war. In order to know something and to begin to operate correctly, we need to make at least a minimal amount of positive inner changes that will be in concord with the global network.

This is why Kabbalists, who view this situation from Above, must advise us on our actions. It was always this way, even with prophets and Kabbalists of all times and of all levels.

U.S. Denounced For Orchestrating Europe’s Financial Crisis

Dr. Michael LaitmanOpinion: (Laurence Parisot, the head of the French MEDEF employers’ union): “French business leader and President of the influential MEDEF Laurence Parisot said in an interview on Sunday with Le Figaro newspaper that key players in the U.S. financial elite and particularly the U.S. media have been playing a pivotal role in purposely destabilizing and aggravating the European sovereign debt and financial crisis throughout the summer of 2011 and continue to do so by spreading false rumors around international markets in a bid to strengthen their own hand, particularly in dealings with China.

“Laurence Parisot went on to explain how the situation had particularly worsened for Europe when China started to categorically denounce and criticize the U.S. for the exorbitant level of its debt. ‘The Americans then probably wanted to pass the blame onto Europe. We saw a kind of psychological warfare and an attempt to destabilize the Euro zone. The markets overreacted, being by nature very sensitive to rumors – even organized rumors.’ she said in the interview.

“However the President of the MEDEF did state that rather than being due to some sort of a conspiracy, the Eurozone’s difficulties were simply being ‘orchestrated’ from the other side of the Atlantic. She cited examples such as how the U.S. press immediately echoed and explicitly spread rumors mainstream about the financial states of French banks and the alleged imminent collapse of the Euro zone even though these rumors were completely unfounded and had no credible source.

“To quote, ‘We went from attacks on Spain to Italy and then France, and even up to rumors of Germany’s degradation last week! When American publications widely read by investors and financial analysts count on false and sensationalist headlines, it’s time to ask questions.’ she said.”

My Comment: The USA does this openly, by the right of the strong to do what is advantageous for it, without burdening itself with the guise of “good manners.” It is so in everything. Today, this attitude of any person, let alone any country, in relation to others will not remain without response from the integral system of nature that is being revealed now.

Earlier, until 1995, such behavior of people and countries did not cause an obvious negative reaction from nature. Americans, as well as other nations, ought to take note of this.

The US Continues To Face An Ongoing National Crisis

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from President Obama’s speech to Congress): “…The question is whether, in the face of an ongoing national crisis, we can stop the political circus and actually do something to help the economy…. Ultimately, our recovery will be driven not by Washington, but by our businesses and our workers. …

“I am sending this Congress a plan that you should pass right away. It’s called the American Jobs Act. …

“The purpose of the American Jobs Act is simple: to put more people back to work and more money in the pockets of those who are working. … It will provide a tax break for companies who hire new workers, and it will cut payroll taxes in half for every working American and every small business. It will provide a jolt to an economy that has stalled….”

Comment: If that is what Mr. President really thinks, then he is mistaken at the root. It is necessary to change one’s attitude to the world, to show an example of a country that replaced power politics and economy with a politics and economy of unity.

And to accomplish that, it is necessary to launch a wide-ranging system of worldwide, integral upbringing in the spirit of “mutual guarantee,” and according to the understanding of the new connections in society, to create the economy of the new world—the economy of mutual guarantee.

Only that will help us come out of the crisis!

Eurozone Will Overcome The Crisis By 2014

Dr. Michael LaitmanOpinion: (Klaus Regling, the head of the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF)): “‘One can justifiably expect the crisis to be over within two to three years. In all eurozone countries the fundamentals are improving,’ the chief of the EFSF, eurozone’s rescue fund, told the Spiegel magazine on Sunday.

“He argued that all of the euro zone states have already started to put their state finances in order, and some of those worst affected by the crisis – most notably Ireland – are getting back on their feet.

“Regling thinks that the situation at the Euro Area is better than the state finances of the USA. ‘The US deficit, for example, is three times as high as that of the euro zone,’ he is quoted as saying.

My Comment: Let’s note what has been said: The dollar will collapse, not the Euro. One thing is clear: Nature will force us to relate to money not as to a means of exploitation, but a means of unification and mutual help.

A Simple Choice: Solidarity Or The Collapse Of Europe

Dr. Michael LaitmanOpinion: (Jacek Rostowski, Polish finance minister): “Speaking in Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza on Monday (29 August), the minister said: ‘European elites, including German elites, must decide if they want the euro to survive – even at a high price – or not. If not, we should prepare for a controlled dismantling of the currency zone.’

“He added: ‘We have a simple choice: Solidarity or the collapse of Europe.’

“The Polish minister said the long-term solution to the crisis is deeper integration.

“’The fundamental problem of the eurozone is not an economic but a political one,’ he explained.’The choice is: much deeper macroeconomic integration in the eurozone or its collapse. There is no third way.’

“He also diagnosed two forms of ‘dangerous populism’ at work in EU politics – a southern populism based on financial irresponsibility and a northern one based on lack of solidarity with southern countries.

“But he added that wealthy northern countries as well as non-eurozone EU members will suffer if it falls.

“’It’s hard to imagine anything that would hit the Dutch, German, or Finnish economy harder than the collapse of the banking system in any eurozone country,’ he said. ‘The collapse of the eurozone would [also] be catastrophic for Poland.’”

My Comment: More and more politicians understand that the circumstances compel us to unite. The only question is whether personal and national egoism and national antagonism let them start thinking and discussing tighter unification. Will egoistic interests not obscure the global catastrophe that awaits us if we do not start seeking mutual guarantee?

The American Dream Boomeranging Back

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Should the dissemination of the science of Kabbalah in America differ from its dissemination in other countries due to the influence of the “American dream,” which we are supposedly able to achieve here—the dream of lots of money, a good life,…? How can we fight this stereotype?

Answer: I think that other countries still have fantasies that it is possible to attain this “dream” in America. Yet, I think all of this is becoming a thing of the past. People have to wake up from the dream. I don’t think this “dream” will last much longer, both for those living in America and for those living abroad.

Look at how Americans are losing respect in the whole world, how people are no longer showing a good attitude to them and are in fact starting to look down upon them. And soon this will even turn into hatred. This is happening particularly because people do not wish to tolerate America’s attitude to them, the attitude of a country that allows itself the liberty to do anything it wishes.

Therefore, I don’t think this “American dream” has any power. As the crisis gets worse, more and more people in the world will reveal that the “American dream,” which has already melted, was built at their expense because America shrewdly exploited the whole world. And this will come back to it as a very powerful boomerang.

To the extent we disseminate the method of correction, which lies in unity, equality, and mutual guarantee, we will save ourselves from blame and blows, as it is written, “Love will cover all sins.” We won’t try to settle old scores, but will create new, kind relationships. Whatever happened happened. It’s not worth raking up the past.

If we start settling old scores, then the whole world will come to America with complaints because that is how its economic systems are built: at the expense of other nations. Only the method offered to us by the science of Kabbalah will cleanse all the old scores until today, and from here on we will begin building something new, without remembering any of what happened yesterday.

G7: No Clear Economic Plan

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News: “Commentators warned that although there had been agreement on the need for a joint response to the renewed global economic slowdown, there was little commitment to concrete action.

“Analysts said officials from the G7 nations (the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, France, Italy and Germany) are still divided over growth strategies.” (Source: Euronews.net)

“While Europe wants to keep its commitment to austerity, the United States is closer to the International Monetary Fund’s position that fiscal stimulus is needed.

“President Barack Obama is due to announce a big job-creating package on Thursday.

“A Canadian official said on Tuesday that loosening austerity measures could ease short-term recession risks but pruning sovereign debt was the top goal.

“Britain, meanwhile, is sticking fast to its tough austerity program.” (Source: huffingtonpost.com)

My Comment: “Happiness is so close,” but “you don’t understand me,” meaning, there is a solution to all problems, but it is anti-egoistic, and therefore, no one hears “a voice in the wilderness.” When demonstrations will be organized by scientists, economists, political analysts, and all those who understand the integral nature of the world crisis, which has to be counteracted by forming a “new human” ready for mutual guarantee, when they will demand of the government to create specifically such program of fighting the crisis, then we will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Albert Einstein: Why Socialism?

Opinion (Albert Einstein, “Why Socialism?” 1949): “’I have now reached the point where I may indicate briefly what to me constitutes the essence of the crisis of our time. It concerns the relationship of the individual to society. The individual has become more conscious than ever of his dependence upon society. But he does not experience this dependence as a positive asset, as an organic tie, as a protective force, but rather as a threat to his natural rights, or even to his economic existence. Moreover, his position in society is such that the egotistical drives of his make-up are constantly being accentuated, while his social drives, which are by nature weaker, progressively deteriorate. All human beings, whatever their position in society, are suffering from this process of deterioration. Unknowingly prisoners of their own egotism, they feel insecure, lonely, and deprived of the naive, simple, and unsophisticated enjoyment of life. Man can find meaning in life, short and perilous as it is, only through devoting himself to society.’”

Consumption Is Not The Problem

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: We have been discussing the fact that excessive consumption has brought humanity to a troubled state. However, some economists surmise that if we start consuming less, this will also have a negative effect….

Answer: Every phase of development has its own spiritual HaVaYaH sequence. It includes phases of bestowal and reception, idleness and a combination of different factors of interconnection. Therefore, we cannot draw a direct interconnection between the level of consumption and the solution to the problem.

Previously we might have been able to improve the situation by distributing goods among everyone because the egoistic desire was developed to a certain level where the gap between the layers of the population could really have been ameliorated in this way. However, today we have risen a level higher, and the methods that were suitable at the previous phase are no longer working. The accent is shifting from the receiving desire to the bestowing one, and you cannot attain real improvement through mere “hand-outs.” You have to understand that by giving out products, you are trying to block the path of the crisis and are thereby depriving yourself of the opportunity to get down to its causes, the bestowing force, the Creator. But in the meantime, our troubles are already acquiring a goal-oriented nature.

Analogously, at the second phase of the expansion of Direct Light, it is impossible to act the same way as at the first phase. That’s because the second phase derived from the first precisely because it was time to realize the primary cause of the Light. Even though it is entirely filled by the Light, this is no longer sufficient.

Likewise, today simple distribution does not solve the problems. The goal of creation is not to satiate our egoistic desires or for us to “stuff our bellies.” That is why we are discovering the second phase of development: by giving out goods to the poor, we will only accelerate the collapse.

So what should we do? After all, this is contrary to all logic. Previously egoism ruled the party: The more we received, the better we felt. But now consumption and restraint, selfishness and concessions in favor of the weak are equally destructive for the economy. Stated differently, we have no more effective methods left to work with the egoistic desire. It has depleted itself both in reception and bestowal.

This is the beginning of the two-sided realization of egoism’s evil—the total recognition of the fact that it cannot be used.

So how can man survive? Several million people in the world will manage to feed themselves with the fruits of the earth that they farm. And what will the others do? We will not be able to maintain the previous connections, and moreover, we will not be able to exchange goods and production the way we once did. The word is starting to reduce its circulation, to “freeze up.”

Under these conditions, the only thing that can really help humanity is a clear attitude to what is happening, the understanding of the need to change the nature of our connections. This is the only thing that will give us good results.

Therefore, first and foremost people need to study. Leave everything else. Provide everyone with the base minimum just above the poverty line, and use the rest of the efforts to improve our interpersonal relationships.

“Fair distribution” and “social justice” are pretty words, for the sake of which tens of millions of people were killed or killed others. Slogans such as these will only help on the condition that we change people’s consciousness. And for that we need upbringing. A person just needs the vital necessities and the willingness to listen, and that’s all.

However, he won’t be learning about “how to consume properly,” but about how to relate properly to others. Everything else will become a natural consequence. When people’s desire changes, they will understand how to manage life of their own accord. By virtue of upbringing, all the practical solutions will become obvious.

First of all, a person has to be educated and changed at least slightly. This is the only way we will avoid Nazi regimes of different kinds, by building an environment that changes people for the better.

Fair Distribution: Nothing For Anyone

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: People are unable to reach any agreement on what is fair distribution. Every person has his own “justice.” So how is it possible to establish it?

Answer: You’re right: How is it possible to understand what is fair distribution when one person needs one pound of bread a day and another person five pounds? This depends on one’s habits and inborn qualities. Some people are so fast and clever that in two hours they can earn as much as another person can’t earn in a week.

One person has such wonderful capabilities that he obtains an excellent profession and earns a lot of money, while another person remains a simple blue-collar worker. Everywhere we look, we see these big differences because we are different by our nature and that is why it is very unclear what should be considered fair distribution.

If we could “scan” a person and create a complete, precise map of him, showing what kind of fulfillment he requires, and then fulfill every person, if we had such a device and capabilities, then what could be better! Then everyone would be sure that they are being fulfilled equally. Even if they aren’t fulfilled in full, but only 50-80%, yet everyone would have the same degree of fulfillment.

However, we do not have this capability! So it turns out that we give one person more than another, but on what basis? Because he earned more? But maybe he was created talented by nature. We do not see or feel this justice.

If we are talking about equality, then we mean equal external conditions for everyone. But that is incorrect! So it turns out that it is impossible to establish equality and social justice. Social justice and equality can only be relative. But in order to assess this proportion, I have to be at the end of correction when I am included in everyone and know the concerns of every soul, experiencing it as my own.

Then I will be able to see all the souls before me, throughout all times and in all states, and give each of them fulfillment in the unique form it needs at this moment. That is, even a moment ago you received one thing, and the next moment—another, and the same happens with everyone else too. Inside of this system, everything constantly changes, like in a boiling pot. So is it possible to reach any fair distribution here?

But look at what the Creator is doing! First of all he closes the faucet and says, “None of you will receive anything! If you want, I will give you a small share, just enough for you to live, so you don’t die. And you will receive everything else only on the condition that you begin to love one another. That is, first of all you have to neutralize the differences that I created in you.”

Love will cover all sins, and then there won’t be any difference between us. If I love others, then I don’t care if they receive something instead of me. Let everyone be filled to infinity—I don’t feel bad about it! I am not checking how much every person has and I do not approach others with an egoistic yardstick, with envy and hatred.
