In the News (From Top.rbc.ru): “According to Professor Dimitrios Karussis, member of the Executive Board of the Israel Society of Neuroimmunology and the Head of the Multiple Sclerosis Center, Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem, scientists were able to identify a soul in a human being by using MRT technology (magnetic resonance tomography).

Research indicates that Kabbalah study activates a part in the brain which the researches called “faith apparatus.” It activates brain activity and increases manyfold an organism’s resistance to diseases that have left modern medicine helpless.”

My Comment: How can we reveal the soul? It depends on what we want to discover. If that’s the force activating an animal body, then surely it’s doable. Back when I was a student, research about “the weight of the body before and after death”was already being conducted in the world, to define the weight of the soul that allegedly leaves the body.

Everything depends on how we define a soul. Sometimes a man and a woman address each other as “my soul-mate.” If that’s how you define the soul, then you can weigh it. But if we understand that the soul is a part of the Creator from Above, the force of bestowal, then, similar to other forces of our world, it can be identified only by the results of its actions. By perceiving the force of bestowal within the property of bestowal (the desire to give, Kli), we thereby reveal the Creator within us and thus call Him Bo–re, from the words "Bo" -"Come" (attain it with your property of bestowal) and "Re" – "See" (discover).

There is no Creator without the creature. We are unable to say anything about Him, as He is outside of us, since that’s the essence or the abstract form which we can’t discuss. Kabbalah, being a purely experimental science, forbids us to engage in such philosophical reasoning, as Baal HaSulam states in the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar,” “the judge has nothing but what his eyes can see.”

We need the material on which this spiritual force could act. This material along with the force acting in it will be called the “soul.” Why? It is because the material itself – a part of the Creator from Above that possesses the same property of bestowal – would resemble the Creator.

How can the scientists discover the soul if it exists in the property of bestowal? What kind of devices can they use? What can help them? To discover the soul, one needs the material that would have the property of bestowal.

That could only be when a person has reached such a correction. Then, whatever clothes that material would be called the Light of the soul. The Kli itself, the desire, the material that has the property of bestowal, would be called the soul’s body. Without possessing such qualities, a person of this world is unable to perceive neither the body of the soul nor its Light.

Hence, if we define the soul according to Kabbalah, as a part of the Creator from Above, then scientists have no way of approaching it. One can attain the soul only the help of Kabbalah.

Everything depends on our intention. If we aspire to reveal spirituality, the Light will come and correct our material (desire), so that it becomes bestowing. When the material will resemble the Creator, become the Creator’s part from Above, the soul will arise within us.

A question I received: If the direction toward the Light is positive and the direction toward spiritual darkness is negative and we have to work from within this minus to get to the plus, then where is spiritual zero? What is this state?

My Answer: There is no zero in the spiritual world; we can’t imagine it. However, there’s a state called Klipat Noga (Shining) where I’m unable to decide whether to turn to one side or the other, which is to say, for my own sake or for the sake of bestowal. This intermediate non-equilibrium state is called zero.

I’m between two natural forces. There’s no third force, which is why this state is unstable. It requires me to immediately make a choice. The zero state exists only in my personal perception and only for the moment when I must decide what to do. I have to feel that this zero state is an abyss because I have neither state.

This is a very good state because, when I feel absolute zero, I have nothing to cling on to. At all other times, I’m either in bestowal (holiness) and have nothing to worry about, or in egoistic desires (Klipa or shell) feeling that I’m Pharaoh’s accomplice. In this state, I enjoy neither spiritual nor material life.

However, a person that’s reached Klipat Noga feels that he has no grounds to make a choice; he has neither plus nor minus. Suddenly, I’m at a crossroads and have nowhere to go. It’s a completely indeterminate state. I thought it was a narrow chink right in the middle in front of me when suddenly it sweeps open and I see an abyss before me.

Right here is the exit into the higher dimension. If I grasp onto the Creator and decide that I have no choice, then I have to ascend to the level of the higher energy. It’s as if we enter a spiritual vacuum and reveal the Creator in it. The moment you’re ready to step into it, He comes out to you.

In quantum physics, a similar phenomenon is called the Casimir effect: a force from nothing. If two uncharged conductors are placed a few micrometers apart in a vacuum, then the energy from the vacuum will start flowing into them and create a force of attraction. Try conducting this physics experiment and you’ll get visual proof that the Creator exists.

The Universe could have been formed from 10 centimeters of matter.

My Comment: Actually, the universe was formed out of spiritual energy, a spark of which broke through into our material level and created everything existing in it. The Upper, spiritual worlds were formed in a similar fashion, each one originating from the higher one.

In the News (from The Telegraph): “MoD department that investigated UFO sightings ‘closed’” The Ministry of Defense department that investigated UFOs sightings has been closed after almost 60 years. The MoD department, which has dealt with more than 12,000 reports – including 135 last year – was used to assess threats posed by any Unidentified Flying Objects sightings throughout Britain. UFO experts expressed anger at the decision.

My Comment: This was a victory of either the financial crisis or the mind, but either way, it is a good thing. All identified and unidentified is inside us. There is nothing outside. Therefore, the only thing we have to investigate is our own internality.

A question I received: What are the boundaries of science? Is science infinite or is it mortal as we are? If the latter is correct, do we see the end?

John Horgan in his book  The End Of Science: Facing The Limits Of Knowledge In The Twilight Of The Scientific Age says that we are witnessing the end of classical science as we know it.

Science has made some great discoveries and underwent swift development due to the Cold War. But now society no longer wants to invest in the abstract, scientific exploration of nature.

Humanity faces problems that are more real than theories of super strings or the wormhole of the universe. How can we survive? The author is concerned that young people are leaving science.

My Comment: Science is based on humanity’s attainment through the five bodily (animate) senses. Therefore, it is limited by them from the beginning.

Our desires (our heart) and mind limit the field and depth of our comprehension, and these are the limitations of science. If, however, we break away from the limitations of our five bodily senses, as well as the desires and the mind that are connected to them, then we may feel the space that is independent from them – the Upper World. We will then be able to explore it with the new means of the outer sense, the soul.

That is what the science of Kabbalah teaches us to do. Therefore, it is the science of the future.

My Comment: Kabbalah says, “Egoism is our nature and we cannot get rid of it in our world.” This is why Kabbalah was given to us: it is a method of attracting the Upper Light, the Force of Correction.

In the News (from Science Daily): “Genetic Link Between Physical Pain And Social Rejection Found” – UCLA psychologists have determined for the first time that a gene linked with physical pain sensitivity is associated with social pain sensitivity as well.

My Comment: The conclusion is simple. As Kabbalah says, all our problems originate from the fact that a very long time ago we were one organism that  broke into many separate pieces. All our problems started from that point, and they will end only when we reunite as one body. Is this possible?

Nothing is impossible in Nature! It will bring us to that state of unity either through the path of suffering or we ourselves will begin the process of reuniting according to the method of Kabbalah.

In the News (from Quantum Physics): “Quantum Hamlet Effect” In this work, by use of a formalism similar to formalism of the quantum Zeno effect (decrease of the decay probability of an unstable quantum system by frequent measurements) and quantum anti-Zeno effect (increase of the decay probability of an unstable quantum system by frequent measurements), we introduce the so-called quantum Hamlet effect. It represents a complete destruction of the quantum predictions on the decay probability of an unstable quantum system by frequent measurement. Precisely, by means of some especial, correctly defined, frequent measurements, decay probability of an unstable quantum system can behave as a divergent series without any definite value. In this way there is quantum mechanically completely unsolvable “Hamlet dilemma,” to decay or not to decay.

My Comment: Kabbalah explains that everything happens relative to us and inside us. Everything is completely dependent on our qualities. Everything that is observed is observed by us. Therefore, by controlling our thoughts, we can “mentally,” but practically, control all matter. So, every one of us can be Hamlet, always, and in all of reality!

In the News (from The Guardian): “Bomb in the beehive” “If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years of life left. No more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.” That’s what Einstein is reputed to have said … and the sentiment still chimes. A third of all we eat, and much of what we wear, relies on pollination by bees, yet they are dying in all corners of the world at a devastating rate. In 2007 the “colony collapse disorder” afflicting honeybees suddenly hit the headlines. Fanciful theories of “bee Aids” and what lay behind it ranged from an Al-Qaida plot and radiation from mobile phone masts to celestial intervention in the form of a “honeybee rapture.”

My Comment: The imbalance in Nature is a result of man’s ever-growing egoism and the hatred between people. We are the most powerful factor that causes a breach of balance in Nature.

The reason for this is that the more powerful a force is, the more subtle and unnoticeable it is. Thus, the most powerful and influential force in the world is our desire and thought (heart and mind). Therefore, if we are not trying to create a harmonious connection with others and with the surrounding world, then we commit evil and break Nature’s ecological and spiritual balance.

We don’t feel where forces that stir us, and drive us to balance, come from, but they act. This is not mysticism. In fact, the suffering we feel is a result of these forces’ influence, and unfortunately, these results are manifesting on the physical plane.

Each person and humanity as a whole cannot be convinced of anything unless they clearly see it. This is why it is so important for us to develop and disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah to the entire world, because it is the science of revealing the Creator, the general governing force of Nature. This revelation will convince us to correct our relationships – and we will survive.
