New Life 926 – Israel And The Jews Of The Diaspora

New Life 926 – Israel And The Jews Of The Diaspora
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

The meaning of the expression, “a light unto the nations” (Isaiah 49:6) is that the people of Israel need to provide the whole world with an example of connection above all differences. The Jews of the Diaspora are not receiving this example from the nation of Israel and they, therefore, don’t see it as a refuge. In fact, because the nation of Israel is hated in the world, the Jews of the Diaspora also distance themselves from it and are leading the line against it.

New Life 925 – Inner Solitude

New Life 925 – Inner Solitude
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Spiritual development requires introspection. While solitude can mean being alone with oneself to reflect, it can also refer to the idea of exiting oneself and thinking of someone else. In order to develop spiritually, we need to annul ourselves and connect with others. In this way, we become similar to the Creator.

New Life 924 – The Power Of The Desert

New Life 924 – The Power Of The Desert
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Everything on earth is a copy of the person’s internality. The internal desert is experienced when our ego cannot be corrected immediately and we must find a way to accept it as it is before we are able to move forward. It is hot and dry in this state. It is said that our forefathers always began their quest for the meaning of life in the Sinai desert, searched for sources of water by, for example, digging wells, and eventually entered the land of Israel.

New Life 923 – Lack Of Motivation

New Life 923 – Lack Of Motivation
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

A lack of motivation stems from a lack of purpose in life. If a person has an exalted goal, he finds the motivation needed to organize the rest of his life in order to achieve it. Although the younger generation has a desire to attain the essence of life, their parents do not show them a good example of how to get there. They will need to learn the wisdom of Kabbalah, the method for self-realization and fulfillment of the soul.

New Life 922 – Motivation And The Driving Force

New Life 922 – Motivation And The Driving Force
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

While every creature is motivated to exist, people have the additional motivation provided by dreams, fantasies, and goals. Some goals are false because they end up without purpose and fail to deliver true happiness. The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us to recognize the eternal goal of our development and how to move toward it.

New Life #197 – Falling In Love, Part 1

New Life #197 – Falling In Love, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Summary

Falling in love for the first time demonstrates our natural desire to connect with others in the same innocent way that children do. As we grow, we cover our pure desire to relate to others with false ideas about sex and love that we accumulate from society. As we age, we understand more and more that there is nothing outside of warmth and love between people. In order to build the right connection with a partner, we need to approach one another like two naked souls.

New Life #296 – Changes In The Work World
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Summary

Despite abundant employment opportunities and the resultant prosperity, we remain unsatisfied with our work-related experiences, but why? Profit-oriented business has resulted in a kind of modern slavery in which we are brainwashed to produce and consume unnecessary things that leave us unfulfilled. When superfluous businesses all disappear, new occupations in integral education and cultural development will be introduced. The focus here will be on how to build mutual connection and enjoyment.

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, the world is perfect and we will only be able to perceive this perfection when we correct ourselves. We need to correct our desire to receive for ourselves by becoming more focused on loving and giving to others. In this way, we become more like the Creator.
