The name Baal HaSulam means “Owner of the Ladder” in Hebrew. He received this name because of the title of the “Sulam (Ladder) Commentary on the Book of Zohar” which he wrote.
As he says, the revelation of this book, as well as the fact that he was able to create a commentary on the entire Book of Zohar is a sign that the generation is already worthy of correction, the revelation of spirituality to the masses, and with the dissemination of The Book of Zohar the whole world will come closer to correction.
When Baal HaSulam published The Zohar with the Sulam Commentary, his students walked around the streets carrying volumes of this book, going to different places in an attempt to disseminate it. It was very difficult. People were afraid of The Book of Zohar because there were rumors that this book is very special, that is has enormous power, and is able to bring benefit as well as harm.
Only in our time, 60 or 70 years after the Sulam Commentary was created, we are presenting The Zohar to the world in an adapted form that makes it accessible for the wide masses so that everyone could read it and enjoy it.

From the 4th lesson at the WE! Convention on 4/1/11
The books arrived at the Almaty study center just in time for the book fair and a parallel WE! Convention that will be held in the capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana.
The books came into light thanks to the joint efforts of all groups in the country. Ms. Erganata Alimkuluva was the initiator of this project and the chief editor of the books. We are positive that the book fair and the parallel convention will bring us closer to the goal.”

Question: How does The Book of Zohar fit into Kabbalah?
Answer: The Book of Zohar is the main book in Kabbalah. We study it every day. I have just finished going over The Zohar in order to simplify its language and replace all of the Aramaic words. We are now translating this book into other languages and soon it will be published.
This book explains the laws by which the spiritual, global world operates. The difference between the spiritual world and the material world is not that spirituality is somewhere up in the sky, beyond all the galaxies. The spiritual world is right here, in the same place, but we do not feel it because it works at a different frequency, so to say.
We are looking at the world through our egoistic senses where each person perceives only what is beneficial to himself. But if we change our senses and attitude to the world and desire to see it as being single, great, and one whole, then we will see the world as an integral system of forces right here and now.
This is the world that The Book of Zohar tells us about. However, this book is written in a way that takes the reader and without him even noticing, leads him into the sensation of the new world. That is why it is such a powerful and unusual book. The Zohar works through our mind and feelings, influencing us from all sides.

This new book is about Baal HaSulam, the greatest Kabbalist of all times. Baal HaSulam climbed all 125 degrees of the spiritual ladder. He felt an ultimate connection with the force governing the universe. He lived in the 20th century and foretold all the events that followed. He had a passionate desire to spare humanity from misfortunes and suffering. This is the reason why he revealed The Book of Zohar to everyone.
The author of the book is my student, film director and scriptwriter Semion Vinokur. The book is currently being translated into English.

An excerpt from the review of my book Kabbalah Revealed in Croatian: “In this book, you will not find hidden mysticism, great magic, or the shallow blarney of new age literature adorned with the shades of consumerism and public recognition as in the case of the hit “The Secret.”
This book is not written to help the reader escape reality or be entertained. It doesn’t sugarcoat or sedate. Kabbalah Revealed explains basic Kabbalistic principles very concisely and effectively while leading us on the journey of the creation of the world and discovery of the purpose of life.
In a surprisingly perceptive, witty, and almost scientific fashion, Laitman sums up this great wisdom in a mere one hundred pages, while totally seizing our attention. He simultaneously reveals such intellectual openness that glues together all the pieces of one big picture puzzle that is uncovered for us in the end.

Books About Kabbalah To The World

Rabash: The Social Writings is now available as a hardcover book in English. It includes all the social articles that Rabash has written, articles discussing the work in the group and the love of friends as the means for attaining the Creator. As we enter a new, more intensive phase in our work of achieving the connection between us, let’s work toward inscribing what’s written in these pages in our hearts, and make the relationships among people that our teachers want from us a reality.
L’Chaim! and a dear thank you to all who worked on the book: David Melnichuk, Noga Burnot, Debra Rudder, Baruch Khovov, Uri Laitman, Chaim Ratz.
