Questions I received on the upcoming Congress and inner work:
Question: What is the best way to prepare for the upcoming Congress?
My Answer: You should study the materials from the last Congress (February 2008) and participate in the preparations for the upcoming Congress. Go through the materials about the Congress, and finally, you should be systematically present at our daily lessons (held between 3am and 6am Israel time), or at least at the third part (from 5am until 6am Israel time).
Question: I am trying to find the best way of studying for me. Can a student who’s attracted to his own sex and who studies Kabbalah regularly over the Internet, participate in the Congress that will take place in Israel (to actually come and be there together with everyone)? Can he participate in the Congress preparations? Can he sometimes attend a congress in other countries?
My Answer: Yes.
Question: What is the correct way to unite with the common system?
My Answer: Through the quality of bestowal.
Question continued: Is a person capable of this?
My Answer: Yes, if he does it through a group, by receiving Ohr Makif from above.
Question continued: What kind of force is this, and where can it be found?
My Answer: Only in the study of Kabbalah.
Question: If I understand that everything I do is for the Creator’s sake, and my intention is “for the sake of the Creator,” how can I use Kabbalah to achieve my purpose in life?
My Answer: If you’re already at a point where everything is for the Creator’s sake, then there’s nothing more for you to do…
Question: How is it possible to go from external love to inner love?
My Answer: The same way it is possible to go from egoism to altruism.

Here are the songs of the 2009 Congress (in English, Hebrew and Russian):
A few days ago I met with one of our external groups from Israel. There are many groups like this in Israel, but due to the opening of our new TV channel, we did not have meetings with them until recently. Now we can start inviting them again and together produce another TV series comprised of short lessons.

News Report (translated from zman.com): The famous comedian and TV host, Gil Kopach, will head the “Ale Yarok” party, which campaigns for the decriminalization of pot (marijuana) in Israel. Kopach will replace Chairman Shlomi Sandak, who was unable to get elected to the Knesset in past elections. The reason for the party’s failure may be the “anonymity” of its former leader. According to official statistics, about 1,200,000 Israelis use light drugs, but the party that proposes to free them from the threat of jail has never been able to get past the electoral barrier. This time they are counting on Kopach’s popularity.
The actor refused to comment on the new offer, which will mark a radical change in his career. However, the former Chairman stated in an interview with the Haaretz newspaper that Kopach has always been a passionate supporter of legalizing marijuana.
Kopach owes his popularity to his role in the movie, “Pini Ha-Gadol” and in Amnon Levi’s TV program “The End of the Week” on Channel 1 of ITV. Kopach’s parodies and ironic commentaries on religious texts caused a big stir in Israel at the end of the 90s.
A few weeks ago Kopach began to collaborate with The Kabbalah Channel – YES 66, where he hosts a talk show about the weekly Torah portion (shown on the photo below).
My Comment: I was introduced to a young, pleasant looking man who looked about 30 years old, and I was told that he is a popular TV commentator on the Torah who is interested in discussing the Torah with me on our Kabbalah TV channel. This happened a few weeks ago, and that’s how we began our weekly talks. We discuss the weekly Torah portions; Gil talks about them from the literary perspective, while I talk about their Kabbalistic meaning.
By the way, I did not notice any irony when he talked about the Biblical texts. On the contrary, I saw an attitude of care and respect. Actually, I get the feeling that he is “coming back to faith,” but of course I don’t ask him about it since it’s his personal business.
I hear that the show is popular. And of course, I don’t care about my conversation partner’s political or social engagements. Our contact is limited to the discussion of the Torah – no drugs included!

Every Sunday, I give a virtual lesson from 4:00pm to 5:15pm Israel time. This week’s virtual lesson was lesson #5 on Baal HaSulam’s article “Introduction to Talmud Eser Sefirot.”
The news on Channel 2, Israel’s most popular and prestigious TV channel, had an interview with my student Arcadi Duchin, a famous Israeli song writer, singer and performer. The interview was about his first song about the crisis and the story behind its making:
[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXxTyiUGPgQ]
Arcadi and I met once a week for the last year to discuss the necessity of writing songs about the current events: the proliferation of drugs (“lighting up to pass the time”), the growing divorce rates (man, woman, and the snake between them), the hyperactivity of children (Ritalin), the financial crisis and layoffs, ego-Lego (how to connect together), and so on. These songs haven’t been released yet, but they have become more relevant than ever.
The public release of the first song was a very special event! I hope that this kind of dissemination and explanation will enable people to discover the cause of the evil and the path to goodness.

Our center was visited by a film crew from Channel 2, Israel’s most popular television channel, which attracts millions of viewers each week. The film crew was headed by Roni Kuban – journalist, director, and script writer.

The crew spent five days working at our center. Their objective was to understand what is happening here. They came to us with this proposition, and we agreed because we are open to everyone. Of course, there’s a chance that they won’t understand anything and will write and show us “as usual.” It is impossible for us to influence the content of their program. However, we could not turn down the opportunity to tell people about Kabbalah on the most popular program of the most popular TV channel.
Next Tuesday we will see what they “cooked up.” They’re nice guys, but the nature of their job requires them to get “the juicy scoop,” to deliver something scandalous. Besides, it’s not always easy to understand what Kabbalah has to say. Personally, I place my hopes on the viewers to be able to read between the lines, and because they feel the crisis that is happening, they will understand that Kabbalah offers the solution. This is being done for them!
Below you can watch or listen to two of my conversations with Roni Kuban (in Hebrew):

From 11.27.08 to 12.07.08 an international book expo, “Guadalajara International Book Fair” was held Mexico. 1,600 representatives from 39 countries participated in the expo, which is regarded as the most important book expo in the Spanish speaking world.
My books were presented at the “Tribuna Israelita” stand, which is an organization that advertises Israeli authors.
