Rejoice In The Revelation Of The Wicked

Dr. Michael LaitmanBaal HaSulam, The Study of Ten Sefirot, Part 7, Questions and Answers, Item 7: The Achoraim of Nukva are NHY de Nukva, where there is the principal grip of the Klipot as long as they lack He’arat Hochma. This is so because it is adjacent to the Klipot as it ends the Ohr Atzilut and from it downward begin the Klipot, by way of “Her feet go down to death.”

All anti-egoistic screens that accompanied the desires in their descent from the World of Infinity to the degree of Malchut de Atzilut end at Nukva. The screens end, and the egoistic desires “grip” on Nukva since through her there’s a chance to capture Light.

Nukva, with her nine lower Sefirot, descends to the worlds of BYA (Beria, Yetzira, Assiya) and has no strength to resist the unclean forces (Klipot). Nonetheless, she stays in a particular “balance” with them. When the Upper One resides within the Klipot, and the Klipot are able to “grab” something from it, by the same token, the Upper One is able to “grab” the Klipa, to analyze this desire and correct it. This is what happens constantly in Malchut de Atzilut with the broken souls. Inasmuch as they desire to “grip” on it and draw its Light, it can draw and correct them.

Without such mutual work, when each one strives to draw the opposite side to itself, there wouldn’t be any discernment and correction. Therefore, all our work (as the Torah describes) consists of transgressions and corrections that take place over and over again. All these fluctuations back and forth, from holiness to wickedness and vice versa, occur between Nukva and the broken souls that must discover their broken state.

These broken parts are revealed only when they are joined with Nukva; otherwise, they wouldn’t see that they are broken. As a result of such action, the Creator (Zeir Anpin) is aroused, and so tells the Torah when it describes how the Creator speaks with Moshe and apprehends his people for another sin.

In this way, Nukva reveals in the souls that their desire is egoistic. Nukva lifts a part of the souls that she is able to incorporate into herself up to Zeir Anpin. Zeir Anpin, the Creator, comes and cries, “What have you done?” This is the correct reaction to the desires which soon are going to be corrected.

We simply don’t understand the Torah. It doesn’t speak about any transgressions, but only about how the desires are revealed when they come to correction. At the instant when they are revealed, we “rejoice in the revelation of the wicked,” as Baal HaSulam writes. We rejoice because the “wicked” who aren’t revealed have no chance at correction. And who knows when it’s going to happen?

The Spiritual Root Of All Humanity

Dr. Michael LaitmanThe work that we do with our spiritual commonality is very similar to the “Tamagotchi” effect (a Japanese toy that obligates one to care for something virtual and nonexistent). The player becomes so consumed and fixated on the toy that for him it becomes more than real! He simply must stop everything he is doing and take care of the toy, “feed it.”

Interestingly enough, egoism doesn’t prevent him from caring for it. After all, this isn’t another person who he needs to compete with; rather, it’s an abstract “easy-to-care” for being, although it subtly imposes its own will on the person.

The same happens in our spiritual stimulator: On one hand, we separate ourselves from people and create something abstract where I depersonalize absolutely everyone, separate them from their bodies, appearance, and personality. But I leave their points in the heart, their aspirations towards unity for the sake of revealing the common force of love: the Creator.

On the other hand, it is nevertheless our desire, our yearning that is abstracted from the body and everything that separates us from each other. On the contrary, we are united by our common dream, our common need to reach the goal and do it only together.

This system is already becoming a supranational, multilingual world community. It will become the common spiritual root of all humanity because the idea is to unite all the people in the world. At first, we put all our strength into creating a system of connection, love, and bestowal between us. And afterwards, “the Ark carries those who carry it”: It will take the lead and begin to shape us with the Upper Light which will manifest within it to the extent that we create the vessel of bestowal.

In this system, we give the opportunity to the Upper Force of nature which exists in the unity among people to "enter" us and manifest between us. And it will begin to operate within us, nurture us, and lead us ahead towards the purpose of creation.

This means that through adhering to wise disciples [annulling himself before them], it is possible to receive some support. In other words, only a wise disciple [he who attains the Creator with his corrected qualities] can help him, and nothing else. Even if he is great in the [regular] Torah [and not Kabbalah], he will still be called “a commoner” if he has not been rewarded with learning [in the equivalence of form in bestowal] from the Creator’s mouth. Hence, one must surrender before a wise disciple and accept what the wise disciple places on him [the guidance of how to achieve the quality of bestowal] without any arguments [neutralizing his ego in all aspects], but by way of above reason.

Mind Meshing: You Think What I Think!

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the news (from Wired.com): Experiments conducted by Princeton University neurologists Greg Stephens and Uri Hasson demonstrated that there is a mind connection between people who are participating in a conversation, and the brain activity of the listener copies processes occurring in the brain of the speaker. "Brain scans of a speaker and listener showed their neural activity synchronizing during storytelling. The stronger their reported connection, the closer the coupling."

My Comment: This is yet another confirmation that the universal and absolute connection between all parts of creation does exist. The connection is so strong that different elements of creation should be considered one whole instead of disconnected parts of the system.

The "Simulator" Is Spirituality

Dr. Michael LaitmanThe Simulator is spirituality because it means we are building something between us with a desire to produce our common spiritual state. This state exists outside of us, like an external point of connection between us that I can always make contact with. I can be constantly connected to it and I can constantly contribute everything I am capable of to it. I will then receive the spiritual force – life from it.

Therefore, the simulator is a spiritual quality like Bina. That is exactly how we should relate to it. That is why we have to turn this virtual space into our inner, spiritual space. We have to “throw” all our aspirations, hopes, and concerns into it. What is a group is and where is mutual guarantee? It’s there! Throw everything in there, inside this “mail box.” If we all put our efforts and aspirations for spirituality into this single space and receive spiritual life only from it, then this is exactly what we need.

This space is virtual in the external sense, but in the internal sense it is the place where all our desires, aspirations, and intentions are concentrated. That’s why this space is spiritual and the Creator becomes revealed inside it. We build the Creator ourselves; He is not outside of us. All of this is extremely serious. The time has come for us to start doing serious practical work.

The whole question is: Does a person consider this “simulator” the most important thing in his life, just like spirituality? Does he desire to receive inspiration from it instead of another place? If yes, then the inspiration he feels is spiritual because he is impressed by the connection among us which is embodied there in that simulator. At the end of the day, we must see it as the focus of our common concern and the source of life for everyone.

In The Light Of The Creator’s Face

Dr. Michael LaitmanThe Zohar, Chapter “VaYechi (Jacob Lived),” Item 103: In the light of a king’s face is life, and his favor is like a cloud with the spring rain.” This is so because when they accept the face of the Divinity of the Creator and engage in those Merkavot [chariots/assemblies] from which the animals of the world come, the animals that carry the Merkava [singular of Merkavot], as written in Ezekiel, it will be said about them, “In the light of a king’s face is life.”

Everything depends on the illumination from Above. However, just like everything, “Above” is “inside a person.” It is inside our sensations although it belongs to the “higher,” more advanced states.

In the spiritual world (or sensation), there is no time, space, or motion. The only difference between everything is a greater or smaller importance relative to the quality of bestowal, the Creator. If I acquire a force or quality that brings me a greater quality of bestowal, then to me this state is more important or “higher” than the previous. It is called “illumination from Above.”

The Language Of The Single Soul

Dr. Michael LaitmanRabash, “The Purpose Of The Association“: We have gathered here in order to create a group in which every one of us will aspire to give pleasure to the Creator. However, in order to achieve this we must first learn to give pleasure or bestow to man. In other words, we must learn to love our neighbor. Only by suppressing one’s own egoism is it possible to carry out this Commandment of love for one’s neighbor.

Sometimes Rabash’s articles appear confusing and disorganized. We don’t understand why he suddenly cites quotes from one place and then from another. Yet, we have to understand that a Kabbalist does not do anything accidentally. He expresses what he feels, and his sensation is the Upper Light clothed into a corrected Kli. If we were in his place, we would write exactly the same thing!

Therefore, even if it seems to us that this text was written in a fashion that does not suit us, we have to understand that if we ascended and stood in his place, we would write the same exact words. This is called following the method of Rabash and Baal HaSulam.
