The State Of The World Depends On Israel

The Zohar, “VaYechi,” “Do Not Recall Our First Sins,” 412 – 413: If Israel performed good deeds before the Lord, the nations of the world and idolaters would not rise against them. But Israel is causing the other nations to raise their heads in the world, because if Israel had not sinned before the Lord, the other nations and idolaters would have surrendered to them.

If Israel had not continued their evil deeds to the other side of the Land of Israel, the other nations of the world and the idolaters would not control the Land of Israel and they would not have been exiled from their land. It says: “We have grown very poor since we have no good deeds, as we should have.”

Laitman_065The Secrets of The Book of Zohar

Question: What does The Book of Zohar say if it is such a secretive book?

Answer: The Book of Zohar is not secretive at all, at least no more than any other book written in a different language unknown to me. I can say about such a book that it is a secret for me since I am unable to read and understand it.

The Book of Zohar is secretive for those who are incapable of attaining what it is talking about. One has to study the wisdom of Kabbalah and learn the code, the key for this book. Then when we read it, we will start seeing through this book what it is telling us about the system that governs us, which advances us.

Zohar” means “higher lights” (Zeira Ilaa), which clothes us. It governs us and gradually leads us to a more correct form until we discover the upper force and see that we really live in the upper world rather than in this one. We will start expanding this world to the boundaries of the upper world. This is precisely what The Book of Zohar explains to us.

New Life 727 – Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai

New Life 727 – Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

We live in a world that is incomprehensible to the human ego that has developed and become imbalanced. Kabbalists advise us to balance the human ego through the wisdom of Kabbalah, a scientific method for revealing the positive force in nature. The first to discover this method was Adam, and Abraham was the one who developed it so that it could be implemented in a group.

Abraham gathered people into a large group divided into small groups of ten called a Minyan. Under his guidance, the members of the group learned to feel the whole system of the upper world. Later the members of the group underwent many changes until they reached a state in which their egoism erupted to such an extent that they could not connect anymore, as described in the story of Joseph and his brothers. Then the same group went down to Egypt where egoism developed even more, and under the leadership of Moses, they exited Egypt and received the Torah, the method of connection.

When the members of the group couldn’t balance the evil force in them and the connection between them was broken, the Temple was also destroyed and they were exiled, exiled from the good force, from the balanced system. In those times Rabbi Akiva taught the method of love and his student Rabbi Shimon, who wrote The Book of Zohar, was the Kabbalist who brought us the practical method of fulfilling the rule of “love thy friend as thyself” in society.

The Book explains how to extract the good force, hidden in nature, which balances the evil force, the human ego. Baal HaSulam wrote the commentary for The Book of Zohar and brought about the revelation of The Zohar to the public in the 20th century.
