Include Everyone in Your Prayers

942Question: In prayer, is it better for us to focus on the ten, or can we place the hearts of the entire world Kli in it?

Answer: You can include everyone in your prayers, and I really encourage that. But remember that you must first pray for your ten so that it can unite everyone and thus rise to the Creator.

When everyone strives for unity, it is very easy to achieve. The main thing is that you are all directed toward Him.

Focus on the Most Important

942Question: You said that as a result of the spiritual work, the ten will become like one body and appear before the Creator. How does this happen?

Answer: This is done by the Creator from above. But in order to help Him as much as possible, you must be ready to unite in one desire and strive for one goal.

Comment: We try to do this during the lessons and at all our events, but it does not work out.

My Response: No, it is slowly working out, but it has not yet come to the point where you feel it in your sensations. To speed up this process, you need to focus on making sure that your desires are similar to each other.

Question: We compose a prayer every day and try to build a common desire. Is it better to focus on one thing?

Answer: Yes, on what is important to us today.

The Creator Will Always Understand You

239Question: You said that the Creator understands the human heart in prayer. How can we turn to Him so that He understands as much as possible of what the person is telling Him?

Answer: It should be understood as much as possible by the person himself. And you do not have to think about the Creator. If you precisely turn to Him, worship Him, and want to get closer to Him, the Creator will always understand you.

Question: What does it mean to worship the Creator in prayer?

Answer: He does not need us to belittle ourselves in front of Him. But depending on how much we see ourselves below the Creator, we can get closer to Him.

New Intentions Will Open Up

528.03Question: What should be the qualitative characteristics of our condition when large receiving Kelim of Haman can get out from under the restriction and receive for the sake of bestowal?

Answer: This is our prayer, nothing else. It is just our request to the Creator that He will correct our Kelim, connect them, and they will be able to receive the upper light (Ohr Hochma).

Question: We must be united in one desire. How to work with it?

After all, if we have the same desire, we think and assume the same way. But everyone has their job. How can we avoid the confusion of my work and the work of my friends?

Answer: Do what is in front of you, what is closer to you, what you understand. And then, gradually, new desires and intentions will open up in you, and you will correct them. That is happening gradually.

Prayer Is Connection with the Creator

624.02Question: It is said that prayer is connection between us and the Creator. What is special about this connection? After all, we feel connection with Him when we study, unite, and disseminate, do we not?

Answer: What your heart desires at every moment is prayer.

Question: Should we constantly focus on this, or are these individual efforts within the group?

Answer: Prayer can happen at any time both within and outside the group. The main thing is for each person to try to be directed toward the Creator. But if prayer goes through the group, it is much stronger.

Mutual Desire

938.05Question: What kind of work should we do in our Kli to fulfill the desire of the Creator?

Answer: We must unite among ourselves in one desire with which we can turn to the Creator, and He will fulfill it.

In other words, by uniting, we want to affect and bestow on each other. This property fills our common desire; we turn to the Creator and ask Him for the upper light to fill us with the intention of bestowal.

Question: The Creator desires connection with us, and our job is to achieve connection with Him. How can we quickly find this first contact in each state and then develop it?

Answer: In each state, we should strive for greater unification so that the small desires of each one will unite with the others, and we will feel a greater desire with which we can already turn to the Creator, and He will fill it.

Question: How can we check that our requests to the Creator are correct?

Answer: If your thoughts coincide with those of your friends, and you jointly join in turning to the Creator, you achieve your goal.

When You Have the Right Intention

546.03Question: Help me understand what “for my own sake” means. There is a way when you are ready to unite, annul yourself, and do everything necessary with the intention for the Creator to change your nature. The second way is when you do all actions of bestowal because you want to get to that, but you reveal that you are doing it for yourself. Which one is correct?

Answer: The correct method is the one in which you have the right intention. And the intention should be only for the sake of others.

If, in the end, you do not see yourself at all but only see how it enters into others, then your intention is correct.

Question: But then it turns out that the second way is also correct. Do you mean that you do everything for the sake of others and still realize that you acted for yourself?

Answer: No that is incorrect. You reveal that you did everything you could for the sake of others.

Strengthen the Influence of the Good Angel

237A good angel is called “right,” by which one comes closer to serving the Creator. This is called “the right brings closer.” And the bad angel is considered “left,” pushing away. This means that it brings him foreign thoughts, whether in mind or heart (Baal HaSulam, Shamati 107, “Concerning the Two Angels”).

The work of both angels on us, the good and the evil, means using both angels to move toward a goal. To work correctly with two forces, you must try to imagine yourself in the middle, then find the middle line, and move forward between the right and left lines.

Question: How can we increase the influence of the good angel on us?

Answer: Only through prayer. To make prayer a constant work that covers all conditions and precedes our good actions, we must direct ourselves straight to the Creator.

Demand Correction

558Question: Why does Baal HaSulam use the concept of sightly to refer to flaws rather than purity, for example? What is considered sightly?

Answer: Sightly refers to the purity of thoughts, care for one another, help, and support, everything a person reveals in their heart regarding the friends.

Question: When I conduct internal scrutiny and become increasingly convinced that I belong to this sightliness less than others, inevitable disappointment and despair come. How do I correctly present my flaws to the Creator?

Answer: Just like that, bring them to Him so He may correct you. Do not hesitate, but come to Him, ask, cry, and demand that He correct all your flaws.

032.01Question: It happens that you ask for a friend and immediately feel how the Creator helps him. And sometimes it seems that you want to help and ask, but the person cannot accept this help, and you feel that the prayer is not going through. Are there any conditions for a person to be able to accept help?

Answer: If you open your heart, then most likely he will open his own and accept your help. It all depends on you.

The influencer, the giver, must be absolutely selfless, like the Creator. Then he can hope that his action will be correct.
