Authentic Kabbalah Course in New York and Toronto Starting Tuesday, September 10, 2019

Dr. Michael LaitmanHello to anyone who knows me in some form, perhaps through my articles or interviews, or my posts or videos online. As far as I can remember, I was always interested in knowing the secret of life, the goal of life, the universe, why was it created, what human beings are for. I was very occupied with that. I went to study bio-cybernetics, the operating systems of the human body. It didn’t really answer what I wanted to know.

And then I came to the wisdom of Kabbalah. So if you’re interested in knowing the sources of wisdom that I learn from, I’m inviting you. You’ll see how much happiness it can add to your life.

We have designed a course that is suitable for everyone. It’s very easy and accessible. When you start, you’ll see how the most complex things can be made extremely simple. You’ll get step-by-step guidance by dedicated instructors. And to be honest, I envy you. It was very difficult for me to attain this wisdom, and I’m so happy that now I can pass it on easily and beautifully, so enjoy it!

In Memoriam Charlie Wood

Last night, Charlie Wood, a dear, beloved student of mine, and a great and special friend of all of us has passed away. Charlie’s heart touched all of us through his music and his dedication to his friends, to all of Bnei Baruch, and to me. A congress in America without Charlie Wood is not quite the same congress.

Yet, as we all know, everything that the Creator does is for our best, and for the best of the world. Charlie passed away because his part in Adam HaRishon needed this in order to advance toward Dvekut with Him, and so we should be happy for Charlie and for the Creator.

To Charlie’s beloved wife Debbie, I want to say, “Your dedication to Charlie and to the goal are an example to all of us. Please know that you are loved, we are your family, and we are here for you. I pray for your strength and that you will always remember that there is none else besides Him, and that He is good and does good, and everything He does is in order to bring you, Charlie, and all of us closer to Him, even when we cannot see how.”

Such hardships should increase our efforts to unite far more than usual. I call on the women of the world Kli, and especially those in America, to help and give strength to our friend Debbie. As we lift her out of her grief, we are lifting ourselves toward spirituality.

Embracing,
Rav Laitman

How Do We Attain Happiness?!

Why is everything so bad?

The study of nature shows us that every part in nature is managed in a purposeful deterministic manner, just like fruit growing on a tree is managed to reach the ultimate sublime goal, to ripen. But the earlier maturation states are opposite from the mature form. What is more, the sweeter the fruit when it is ripe, the more bitter and ugly it is in the intermediate phases.

A beast develops quickly while a baby is born weak and dependent and takes many years to develop. A person who doesn’t know the final outcome of their development may say that the beast is better than man in every way.

Thus, we learn that nature manages the development in a purposeful and deterministic way disregarding the intermediate forms and taking into account only the ultimate outcome. Nature’s positive attitude toward the created being is not felt until the final phase of its development.

Conclusion: The management of every part of nature is purposeful and good, but this fact is revealed only at the end of the development process and only to those who attain the final phase of their development, the Kabbalists, can see the world in its final good form.

There are two ways to develop: by suffering or by efforts.

Nature’s plan is to make us resemble the attribute of the absolute goodness and two ways have been prepared for us to develop in order to attain it.

  1. The way of suffering: it is a slow and unconscious process of development under the influence of sufferings until recognizing that the goodness is necessary.
  2. The good way: it is a quick, conscious, and pleasant development until resembling nature.

The ultimate goal is essential and predetermined. There is no way we can avoid it. Nature manages us rigidly along the way of suffering or along the good way. Nature reveals the egoism in us, the evil force, which we have to discover. We have to discover the good force and learn how to generate with our desires and actions from nature.

The purpose of the wisdom of Kabbalah is to develop us by the positive force.

By studying the wisdom of Kabbalah a person discovers that it is actually his natural egoism that stands in his way of developing peacefully to the happy state he was meant to reach by nature. The root of all evil is self-love called egoism. This attribute is opposite from the general force of nature, from goodness. Thus the reason for all the sufferings is the gap between all the negative attributes of egoism and the positive attributes of nature.

When a Kabbalist corrects the evil in him, the egoism, so that it will resemble the goodness in nature, in the transition from self love to love of others, he discovers the highest pleasure and a feeling of eternity. Our correction is fulfilled in unity, and so uniting until we reach the love of others is actually a commandment that we have to fulfill as the general law of nature. In the unity we discover the positive force of nature, the Creator.

The difference between the wisdom of Kabbalah and other methods is the goal. Our whole nature is evil and we have to correct it to goodness. Otherwise evil will destroy us. The wisdom of Kabbalah ensures success and happiness to those who use it because a person who attains the love of others is close to the upper force of nature, to the force of goodness, and thus becomes free of the feeling of our world of suffering and feels the wide eternal world of bestowal and the upper force. Thus we see that the wisdom of Kabbalah serves the person who uses it in the best possible way, but doesn’t affect those who don’t use it at all.

International Book Fair Toronto 2014

From November 13th thru November 16th, the largest exhibition hall in Toronto hosted the Toronto International Book Fair, in which 400 authors and a large number of book publishers and distributors took part. The Bnei Baruch Toronto group represented the Kabbalah Books booth.

The whole Toronto group was involved in this event, taking shifts at the booth, telling visitors about the books and Kabbalah, distributing gift bags imprinted with the words “I don’t exist – only We!” filled with “kabbalah.info” pens and flyers, and registering people interested in the Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Education Center courses.

The stand was very popular with the public. Our friends worked without breaks and rest, meeting an endless stream of visitors and answering their questions about Kabbalah. Everyone who was seriously interested received a gift, the book Basic Concepts of Kabbalah. 250 free books were given in the first half-day of the fair.

A gift package and the book Attaining the Worlds Beyond were presented to Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield. The book fair has attendance of 30,000 people throughout the 3 days.

Our Books At The American Library Association Annual Conference

Friends in America Report: English dissemination reaches a new level at an important American book expo The American Library Association Annual Conference running January 24 – 27, 2014.  The American Library Association (ALA), founded in 1876, is the oldest and largest library association in the world.

This is the first year we exhibited our books at the ALA event. Over 20 friends from New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia are staffing our booth for the four-day event still in progress.

They report that the activity at our booth is dynamic, busy, and full of interesting conversations and filled with meeting great people, collecting contacts, and networking. Many people returned to the booth for more information.

Some of the impressions visitors to our booth shared include: “fascinating, interesting, surprising, wonderful, so timely, great collection.”
