“Screen” Is A Purely Kabbalistic Term
Question: In which sources was the term “Screen” (Masach in Hebrew) first used?
Answer: This term appears in the Torah, in The Book of Zohar, and in other Kabbalistic books. Except for the Kabbalists you cannot find it anywhere. After all, the inner meaning of the Torah is attained only with the screen. The great Kabbalist Ari introduced this term for wide use.
Question: Did your teacher use it often?
Answer: Of course. Everywhere. From Ari onwards, you can explain the behavior of a Kabbalist with the term “Masach” (Screen).
