My Facebook Page: “5 Tips for Reading the Book of Zohar”

Dr. Michael LaitmanFrom My Facebook Page Michael Laitman 2/1/18

The Book of Zohar is a gateway to the causal level of reality, which is initially hidden from our perception. However, we need the right preparation in order to read The Zohar correctly.

So here are five rules to help you prepare for the great journey of discovery into The Zohar.

Rule #1: Do not seek intellectual knowledge

The Zohar is studied with the “heart,” that is, through your desire. Rather than mental processing of data, we have to develop a different approach: finding what needs to be tuned within us so as to perceive the hidden layer of reality.

Success depends only on how much we crave to discover and feel this reality. There is no need for prior knowledge, talent or wisdom. Only increasing the focus on your genuine desire to discover the meaning and purpose of life.

Rule #2: Interpret the words correctly

The Book of Zohar uses coded words and terms that may seem familiar to us from the physical world, such as: sea, mountains, trees, flowers, animals, people etc. It is critical to understand that all of the details, figures and events mentioned in the book do not speak of the external world around us, but only what is happening within us.
So when you read The Zohar, try to see the text as a bridge leading to your deepest desires and qualities.

Rule #3: Aim for the light

You may have heard that there’s a unique “light” that shines on a person when reading The Zohar. And that’s true. However, this isn’t some mystical or imaginary power.

The Zohar describes the higher states of perception attained by its authors. Yet, those states exist within every person in potential. So when you read about those higher states and attune your desire to attain them, those advanced states as if shine on your desire, making you more receptive to them. This is called “aiming for the light that reforms.”

Rule #4: Persist like a baby

When you study The Zohar correctly you begin to experience ascents and descents with regards to the intent with which you approach the book. It’s as if you tune in and out of the right frequency.

When that happens, remember that we are like babies with regards to the spiritual perception of reality, taking our first steps into it. Therefore, it’s only natural that we fall and rise up again until we can walk on our own.

Rule #5: Connect to your fellowmen

The Book of Zohar was written by a group of ten Kabbalists who connected their desires to sense nature’s governing force of connection between them, that is, the Creator. It was only the unity and connection between them that enabled them to perceive beyond the boundaries of the material world.

If we want to follow in their footsteps, we must try to build similar relations between us. The Zohar was born out of love, and its renewed discovery in our time will only be possible through love as well.

-Can you lower the ego by studying Kabbalah? Or only grow it?
-Only grow! You can’t do anything without the ego. We need a huge ego that will raise us to the heavens, and we’ll be correcting it. #MondayMotivaton #success

#Centenials-the first global #generation undivided by cultures/religions. For them, borders are a strange remnant of the past. They think the world is on the wrong trajectory, and the modern world’s trends hardly conform to their expectations. #Education @expert_news #Reality_ML

Nations are not at fault for having this or that desire. Everything depends on how ppl are educated/educate themselves. If the Poles understood this attitude toward themselves/Creator/mission of nations, they’d have no complaints. If Jews understood, there’d be no #Antisemitism

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 8/20/17

laitman_615.1Question: Are my illnesses connected to the way I communicate with my group of ten?

Answer: I don’t think so. But if you connect with it correctly, you can be cured of everything.

Question: Is there such a thing as Kabbalistic medicine?

Answer: Kabbalistic medicine is a very simple thing: draw the upper Light onto yourself and you will be healed. There is nothing else.

Question: I work as a coal miner. Can the wisdom of Kabbalah restore my health?

Answer: This is a very difficult question and the answer is not simple at all. Everything depends on the society you are in. You surely can be healed, but to what extent, I cannot say.

It depends on the group, the place where you are, how you study. I would recommend that you go deeper into this and you will see how new internal forces are revealed in you.

Question: Can congenital defects like blindness and deafness become an impediment to learning the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: Congenital defects are not an impediment to learning the wisdom of Kabbalah. I believe in the power of the upper Light, which can change absolutely everything, but when it comes to a bodily defect, the change can no longer be in this incarnation, in this life.

How Does A Spiritual Spark Appear?

Laitman_013.02Question: How can a spiritual spark appear in a living creature that is on the level of an animal?

Answer: It really is unclear how a regular piece of flesh in which some kind of  organs are functioning and a common life exists, suddenly there is a desire not for food, sex, family, money, fame, and knowledge, but for attaining its source: “Where do I come from? Who controls me and is there such a thing? What is my mission?”

A desire associated with infinity is revealed in a person. I look at the stars: “Where is my source?” I am not sure where to look for the answer.

Perhaps I should go deep into the ancient ages, engage in archaeological dig and then I will solve this mystery. Or, on the contrary, I should aspire forward. Yet, how can I know the future? I do not know what to do.

A person who feels major emptiness wants to find his source because everything that exists in this world is absolutely clear to him. But what am I for? This “I” cannot be satisfied with human desires, even if you give him everything.

Of course, it is possible to suppress his thoughts using drugs, wealth, using anything, but they will cut through nevertheless. Whatever he has: sex, family, money, power or knowledge, all this will not fulfill him. They just fill a small inner volume in him, a small sphere. Outside of it, when he begins to feel that there is something above this, he loses the taste of life.

When I was a child, I thought that if I had a small tricycle, I would be happy. Finally, my dream came true. Suddenly, I see that in the neighboring yard my friend is riding a big two-wheeled bicycle! Such a storm of feelings arose in me that I was ready to break my tricycle!

It is the same here. It seems that I have everything, I need nothing! Then suddenly, a new emptiness is revealed in me. Life as if laughs at me: “I give you this and that—take everything you want. However, the meaning of life, eternity, and perfection are not for you.”

However, I do not want a small tricycle anymore because the most important question about the meaning of life remains open.

New Life 932 – An Evolutionary Leap

New Life 932 – An Evolutionary Leap
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

The human ego is burying us. It has grown to such a point that our relationships have become false and our human developments work to our detriment. The times require an evolutionary leap. The next stage in human development will happen on social, emotional, and intellectual levels, rather than on the material degree. We need to use the ego (the desire to receive) in a new way, so that it will become good. It will be transformed through education, explanation, and legislation that will make better use of social networks. Our future depends on it!
