Answers To Your Questions, Part 190

laitman_219.01Question: On August 13th, in the lesson on “Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah,” you said that in a drop of semen, in a sperm, there is all the information about a future person. It has long been known that the sperm contains half of the genetic information and the second half is contained in the egg.

All the information about the future person appears only in the zygote—a cell formed from the fusion of the egg and the sperm.
If there is a discrepancy between the spiritual root and the material branch, then why do you give such an example?

Answer: You are right, in Hebrew “Zera,“ the seed, means all the information about the future organism.

Question: Is it correct to say that a Partzuf is a certain set of feelings of a partially corrected person: egoism, intention to bestow to friends, spiritual pleasure, egoistic pleasure, and understanding what is already corrected and what is not?

Answer: A Partzuf is a corrected desire of Toch, and uncorrected but disabled for use—Sof.

Facing An Absolute Law Of Nature

624.02Question: Should receiving material benefits and pleasure also be done with the intention to please the Creator or does that only apply to spiritual matters?

Answer: In principle, all that happens to us in our lives, in each second and with each sensations, should preferably be completely connected to the Creator.

Question: Then how is it possible to justify the actions of the Creator?

Answer: He doesn’t need to be justified! I simply need to understand that I am facing an absolute law of nature. If I follow it as much as I can, then I receive a satisfying existence and I call it a reward, even though nobody rewards me. I alone create this experience. However, if I do not adhere to the conditions in which I exist, I alone create punishment for myself. Nobody else punishes me.

Question: Then where did humanity get this kind of attitude toward the Creator?

Answer: People invented all of this because they want to see the Creator as a king, as some kind of a divine image.

Question: But doesn’t that also come from the Creator? Doesn’t it mean that this is also necessary for our development?

Answer: It is necessary for our development until such time as we begin to understand that none of this works. Look at what’s happening in the world today, what kind of upsurge in religion! This is already the last flare up, it is already fading, as when a fire flares up before it goes out.

Question: Does that mean there’s nobody to pray to? There is a law and we must simply follow it?

Answer: When you pray, you pray to yourself. This probably helps you. But when you pray to the Creator, then you must think about what you are asking for and who you are asking.

Prayer is called the manifestation of desire. If you decide that you need to realize your desire, then it means that you need to organize your prayer. If you need to aim your desire toward a particular goal, it means that you need to pray about a particular condition. Otherwise there is no reason for you to pray. In order to express your desire, you need to collect your thoughts, formulate and organize your desire, and then you will be able to work with it. Then the upper Light will be able to affect it in a concentrated way.

How To See The Truth?

Laitman_507.03Torah, Deuteronomy 28:34: You will go insane from the vision before your eyes that you will behold.

This means that you will completely lose the reason of bestowal and love that was leading you forward and you will turn into a common animal that has no reason in comparison to a human.

The people of Israel are exactly in such a state now, but they do not realize this yet, and this is the problem! We have fallen so deep into darkness, indifference, discord, and mutual alienation that we already do not feel where we are.

Moreover, being on the lowest levels, we begin evaluating falsely those qualities we are in: these qualities are good, those are bad, these are worse, and those are better. In reality, we are in a terrible state—in absolute egoism and in absolute separation!

Question: Why don’t we feel that we have been robbed and that our house is empty?

Answer: Where is that Light, that level in relation to which we can evaluate this? We have nothing to compare our feelings with.

Question: Does it mean that if we could see with what it is possible to compare this, we would understand that we are at such a level?

Answer: Of course. Imagine that you live in an abandoned village in a poor family, like a caste of lepers in India. And suddenly you are told that you are the son of a rich maharaja. However, all that is left to you is just to watch from the side how someone else takes your place, how he lives perfectly and you are constantly beaten and humiliated. This is a terrible condition!

Therefore, if there is an opportunity to correct this, it must be shown, and if there isn’t one, then not. Unfortunately, we do not have such an opportunity yet.

The Creator did so that only to the extent that we want our abilities to coincide with our desires and vice versa, we would see the truth.

Yom Kippur (Judgement Day)

laitman_288.2Yom Kippur is the day of judgement. Who judges? Who is being judged? What does a person need to do on this day? What will happen if a person does everything correctly?

On Judgement Day, a person judges himself, rising above personal egoism and revealing the world as a unified system. It is not by chance that the Jewish people were always criticized for cosmopolitanism—even though all boundaries are arbitrary, our innate, inner core has always made us strangers among them.

Today, when the world desperately needs unity, the Jewish nation is shattered into pieces. However, other nations cannot lie to us—they instinctively, even without their own awareness, demand us to take on the responsibility for the mission of unification, to melt all hearts into one heart.

In this is the essence of our Judgement Day.

Does Democracy Exist?

laitman_600.04In the News (Council of Europe): “International Day of Democracy 2017, Statement by Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland

“Democracy, human rights and the rule of law fit together to the benefit of citizens in Europe and across the world. Democratic governance creates freedom, fosters opportunity and counters corruption in society. …

“On September 15 – and every day – let democrats hold their heads high and speak for their ideals.”

My Comment: There is no democracy in any communities or countries. In fact, democracy is impossible, because it is impossible for the masses to rule the masses. And if we choose someone, the question is,, how does he get chosen and who is behind it?
Democracy cannot exist by definition.

When could it be possible? Only if we take love and bestowal as the highest principle, which is above nature and above people, and commit to carry it through, can we talk about democracy. Practically, democracy is the corrected humanity facing the higher principle—the Creator.

Without the Creator, democracy cannot exist because it is the highest principle. And there can be no democracy without implementing this principle. And the wisdom of Kabbalah explains how to do it.

A fair society is possible then, as Baal HaSulam writes in The Last Generation, everyone is absolutely equal, all complement each other, and all together we form one single whole. And the Creator, which is the upper force, will be revealed within this society. Together they will form a state that is called the last generation, which is the correct society.
